Canadian that spent 16 years in Japan. I went as an individual. I stayed as an individual. Married a Japanese. Came back to Canada for a pension and can't wait to leave. I were in Japan and if I saw a group of Canadians arrive expecting Japan to change for them, I would have been severely pissed off with them. As an American, I wish I was a Canadian at this time. I don't stand by the T admin... They are all insane. The Prime Minister's speech was so articulate, smart, and compassionate. He doesn't sound harsh but strong and confident. And not anti-American but empathizing with American citizens. Not sure why these CNN folks used those words.

He sounds very manipulative. And like he's having a temper tantrum. He can miss me with trying to play on people's emotion and act like Canada cares for Americans. Canada doesn't even want this man. What can anyone take away that America doesn't have right now. 70% of the population is damn near homeless and the avg job pays 14$ a hr. We already can't afford food way before trump got elected if our president thinks this is best then trust him\nWe want to much quick solutions. I certainly hope it doesn’t seem as though all Americans agree with what Trump is doing because many of us certainly do not. He doesn’t understand what the word diplomacy means unfortunately. With inflation rates rising, a trade war is one of the worst possible scenarios, and I agree with the Prime Minister. There are no winners here. Everyone gets hurt.

Let's not forget that the USA has only ever won one war on its own. The American Civil War! WW1 and 2 were a global allied effort, Korea a stalemate, beaten pants down in Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan a shambles. Their recent treatment of President Zolenski was utterly shameful. Trump doesn't seem to understand that America will need all the friends that it can muster in the coming decade. The USA will be very alone in a war against China if they have isolated and belittled their strongest and best allies. Thanks for making it clear what you did right but not making it clear on what the US administration wanted from you that you said no to that caused the tariff implementation. It's possible you miss 50% of your illegal border crossings into the u.s. since so much of your border isn't secured. The 1900% increase in illegal crossing in the past few years doesn't look very good. It's dumb to assume you did everything right and then the u.s. just randomly decided they'd continue with the tariffs for fun. Be more honest and say where you put your foot down so the American public can better understand what is going on.
