Im european, and i really hope that canadians will do somethings about this. If not, it will become a shithole like europe

This is natural..Canada was created by subjugating and killing the indigenous peoples...so this is totally fine and im happy about this. I hope it becomes India 2.0 and im not even a fan of Indians but they never colonised anyone so in this situation i support them over european heritage folks who dont believe in god.

As a German citizen: our US friends make me so sad and scared at the same time. After our people were defeated, we learned (at least for many of us) where nationalism and hatred can lead and how important international cooperation is. I want prices to go down as much as anyone; but I do not want to hurt the citizens in our allied countries or any countries for that matter. As a European I stand with Canada. I lived in the Us and many Americans are wonderful. However this administration has lost its values and soul. Canada and the E.U should work together closely. And why not join the E.U? Our values are the same. welcome to European life pay tax for everything, in EU we pay 20-30% of VAT and up 50% of our salary go to gov.. so yeah we poor in EU as we pay up to 70%-80% in taxes (depends on EU country) but basically yeah happy life.. basically we pay for healtcare and universities , so that 3rd world people could get free education .. I'm European and I really can't understand how you can make an economic trade war with an ally like Canada, a close and so friendly neighbor.... A dumb decision not only for the W Post... I can't help but feel there is a entirely biased narrative going on here the problem with the pandemic is that it left people who had some mental issues. I'm sure you've gone to the hospital several times and are not $300,000 in debt from a month stay the part of having benefits like that. + A decent social net is paying taxes you can look at the Philippines as a place that's as corrupt and remove social services and can see what happens there when there is a disaster. The only aid that comes in is through international charities or expats donating you'll be moving to Bulgaria and you'll notice that European taxes are pretty much on par with Canadians You're far too young to be buying into Trump russian-backed propagandab and I'm hoping with whatever's happened you personally and proves so your judgment can as well too. I think that what you are describing is the case in most western traditionally European countries. I also think that is on purpose. I live in the US and have my entire life, I'm in my 50's (let's just leave that there!). the same can be said for many places in this country. I've lived in newengland my whole life. it used to be considered the benchmark when I was growing up in the 70's and 80's , as far as cost of living , cost to buy a home , wages and job opportunities , quality of life, safety. its not the case now. I did recently move to extreme northern new England this year as southern New England where I grew up and my family is , too crowed, too expensive etc. I am within 1-5 miles of Canadian border where I am now, but still in US! I do have a current passport, just renewed it and plan to visit NB and Quebec City and hopefully PEI . I do live in a very rural area with low population currently. farming and timber are main industries here. not a lot going on, but at my age I really enjoy it. reminds me of how things used to be when I was growing up 40 years ago! people and even young people are polite and decent here, no traffic. its a bubble, but we are 500 miles from the chaos to the south. As somebody who is a European and loves democracy and freedom, I wish you a happy travel to wherever you want to go. I hope it's not a Western country.

His most probably very expensive education pays off. But thinking with the same logic, all the other war and/or dictatorship refugees (from Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan,...) would probably also prefer living in their own countries without the fear of terror, torture and death. Does that give us European & Westerners the mandate to get rid of those evil regimes? This is not a rhetorical questions - I am afraid, there is no answer without blood on our all hands. Last but not least - isn't Israel fighting for a better life of Palestinians/Arabs in this region, when they want to destroy Hamas & Hezbollah, which have clearly the most responsibility for the current situation? If I would be an Arab living in the Middle East hoping for human rights and some prosperity, I would certainly choose to be an Israeli citizen!

My family came to Canada 5 years ago. The main reason was because my dad had been busy setting up a branch of his European company here for two years. He wanted to launch this new branch and then retire early. Canada as he knew it was a good option for him to do this. We even had a house long before we came to Canada. And we now live on the west coast of Canada. \n \nFor us, the transition to feeling at home here wasn't particularly difficult. We also had enough experience of what it was like to live in other countries. Canada actually turned out to be a very easy country to quickly settle in. \n \nI've heard that Canadians can be reserved, but my personal experience is completely different. \n \nNevertheless, I got to know fellow immigrants who didn't find it easy to get started in Canada. In my experience, they were not very or only rudimentarily informed about what to expect in Canada. Their expectations were very high and they failed because of the reality of everyday Canadian life. \n \nOthers had similar experiences, but they persevered and ultimately arrived in Canada. Some of my fellow students are international students who are also considering leaving the country because Canada doesn't offer what they were hoping for as a better life here. \n \nThe reasons are really too individual in nature to really generalize. I think there should be a lot more help given to people who are struggling with their fate in Canada, because there are enough programs that they could take advantage of but that they never hear about. \n \nUltimately, it may help if someone just listens to them and perhaps has some advice, no matter how vague it may be.
