Thanks for bringing light to this huge problem in canada. No joke indians have quickly become like 30% of the workforce here. They take over businesses and refuse to hire non Punjab people because they won't fit in the workplace culture. We just got a new Walmart down the street. They took a staff picture and it was 80% indian people. And our government is spending HUGE amounts of our tax dollars to subsidize this takeover. And try living here and renting. Due to this influx, a bungalow that was 1500 a month 10 years ago, is now 4500 a month and youre renting off an Indian person. Word to the wise tho, dont even bring up the tow truck businesses. So now if you come here from India even if only for a couple years, ALL subsequent offspring of yours can immediately get citizenship here no question asked. We are so fucked

I ve been in Quebec since 22 years now myself ; I am a Canadian citizen since 15 years now of course ; But it’s confusing… Why was Quebec still receiving more immigrants in such program when even thousands of locals were and are struggling to find jobs? For the last 6 years I made a career in Private security ; I became an officer Liutenant at least I tried ; but now a days I don’t even have a job in security anymore ; too many immigrants applying for the same job / and frankly they do not care if the remuneration is only 21$ an hour / so officers can’t afford to work for less than 27$ ; because they have 6 years experience and more : it’s logical / however , comes an Arabic guy ; who quit the job he came here to do under the program , now he is looking for his first job out here in the real market ( does 80 hours training to get a BSP ) the guy had a college degree or university on something else ; and magically he becomes an officer with no experience for $24 dollars an hour And any security company accepts him 🤷‍♂️ Conclusion : true experienced security professionals officers who built their careers from the bottom all the way up Don’t have a job anymore Remember , officers aren’t unionized 🤷‍♂️

I am disgusted by what Canada has become. The government has allowed a free for all to take place without checks and balances for their own profit…whether it’s votes for political mileage, money that is being invested by certain people groups that will help enrich the pockets of government or whatever the reason - has caused this country to descend to the dumps st a rate faster than it takes to say ‘Oh Canada’. As an immigrant, I have seen the degeneration within the country (particularly Toronto & GTA) in 10 years. As a multi-generational, born-and-raised Canadian citizen. Recently, I have been unemployed for 1 year and 2 months, which is the longest I have ever gone without a job in my entire life. My EI has run out, and during this stressful time, I have only had 4 actual interviews with real human beings. I am also a caregiver for both of my parents, and working remotely has been my profession for the last 7 years. Remote work allows me to both care for them and bring in a full-time income. Despite having 30 years of customer service experience, I find myself being overlooked. Many companies now use AI to prescreen resumes, so if your resume isn’t ATS-friendly, it often never gets seen by a human. Even if you make it past that stage, there are endless AI-driven assessments before you even have a chance to speak with someone. And when you finally do, it’s often yet another layer of screening rather than a real interview. I know I bring value — I consistently receive compliments from customers across cultures for speaking clearly, precisely, and making their experience enjoyable. Yet I find myself competing with younger candidates who can work longer hours, or new immigrants that companies often prioritize, sometimes with government incentives. At 55, I feel like I’m being overlooked despite my proven skills and professionalism. Right now, I live with my retired parents and should be caring for them. Instead, my father is helping me pay my bills so I don’t ruin the credit I worked so hard to build. If I don’t secure a job soon, I fear I’ll lose everything else I’ve managed to hold onto. The stress is overwhelming — I cry daily, and on top of everything, I also face health issues of my own, but I have no space to focus on them because survival takes priority. Canada today feels very different from the country I grew up in. Since the pandemic, things have become harder in every way — jobs, housing, and simply living. It’s disheartening to feel like no matter how hard I push, I can’t get ahead.

Welp, about a half an hour ago when I got home, I realized that someone broke into my apartment building and stole my shoes that were infront of my door. SHOES. last year someone broke in and stole my bike. The thing is, this area was NEVER like this. It was safe and people trusted each other. Guess what has changed?
