You should have also inquired about the jobs here too. The stupid liberal government also makes it harder for us Canadians to get jobs. Hell, they buy up all the affordable housing, drive up prices. I don't ever venture into Brampton anymore, as I don't do service calls or work as a mechanic. I basically got told, without being told they wanted a more diverse field of technicians. Over 12 years of work trying to get my mechanics license and I'm out. Guys can't even diagnose a ground on a vehicle, yet they can get the Red Seal license cause the "translator" gave them all the answers on the test. Lots of them coming over on student visas just to drop out or not go to school completely and take up basic minimum wage jobs from the actual tax payers of our Great? nation. The truck driving is also insane up north, past Thunder Bay. Trucks in ditches every 30-50 km's. Wheels coming off of trucks, turning around on the 2 lane highway in the middle of no where and gets the truck stuck cause they wanted to do a U-turn at 3am on blind corners. We driving our 3/4 ton work trucks have to pass our exits all the time cause they have their feet on the dash tailgating you. 90% of the ones that have come over, have made Canada a worse place to work/live.

Similar facts are true of many millions around the world, and most of them would be rejected by Canadian immigration because they'd be safe if they simply moved to places they can't afford.

Before Trudeau's liberal government, Canada's permanent resident program was based on factors such as being fluent in English or French (in Quebec), passing standard exams in one's own country, being educated (Bachelor's or higher), work experience, family, age, and knowledge of Canada's general culture. If you had all the points, you would be selected. It took about three years, and while waiting, you could not apply for any visa to enter Canada. Canadians can't afford to have babies. In case anyone is wondering why so many Indians are trying to flee Canada here it is. Under Trudeau and the liberal government Canada was basically giving a free pass to anyone who wants to come to Canada through colleges and universities, if you get into a Canadian school, you can get a study permit (which also allows you to work for 20h a week). Additionally after the schooling you are given a guaranteed work permit for the same duration as the schooling (if you went to school 2 years you get a 2 year permit, 4 years you get a 4 year permit, ect.) A Canada and immigration agencies (for some reason) basically advertised this to India as a guaranteed way to get permanent residence in Canada. Canadians hated the massive flood of people coming into Canada (about a million a year at its peak, which for a smaller country like canada is equivalent to 10 million people coming into the USA every year). This is really unpopular with voters of course (in part because of the housing, food, and low skill work shortages it created), and the next Canadian election is this year. So the conservative government has vowed to massivly decrease the number of immigrants coming into Canada and the Liberal government knowing that this can be used against them in the next election is decreasing the amount of PR cards they are given (like a Canadian green card) as well as the people they are letting in in total. Now as the (mostly Indian) immigrants work permits expire and they will soon be kicked out of the country or no longer legally be allowed to work, they are fleeing to NYC to try to take advantage of the sanctuary city (something that does not exist in Canada).

Basically, for the past four years, Biden, Harris and the Democrat Party have spent hundreds of billions of US tax dollars flying illegal immigrants in and basically leaving America’s borders in Mexico and Canada wide open to mass illegal immigration. Then they lied to the American people about the real numbers and how bad the problem really was. In the past few years, the Democrats have spent billions throughout all of our federal agencies via misappropriated US taxpayer funds that were earmarked for American citizens or American infrastructure and development, then used these misappropriated, taxpayer funds to provide housing, food, education, medical care, and in most cases, luxury hotels. Just within the past two weeks FEMA spent over $500 million to provide luxury hotels for illegal immigrants yet a few weeks ago they were still claiming that they didn’t have enough money to help American citizens who suffered catastrophic loss during recent hurricanes and wildfires. The simple fact that Democrats got more upset that Elon Musk bought Twitter than they are, that their own political party in government for the past four years, has literally been holding them at gunpoint and forcing them to pay taxes so that they could steal it or launder it into their own campaigns and pockets is literally disturbing! WTF!!!! If any of those other federal agencies are ran or funded the way U.S. AID were, with the massive corruption, misappropriation, fraud and theft of taxpayer funds, then I hope DODGE goes through an completely audits, every single federal agency in the United States. I am a Canadian in Alberta and the reality is that the Liberals have weakened the Canadian economy and our standing in the world. Their decision to cripple our oil and gas industry and our lack of ability export our products elsewhere in the world is an issue created by the policies of the Liberals. It is mostly the fault of the incompliant and corrupt Liberal government for the massive influx of unskilled India workers/students. Under previous sane governments, there were manageable caps that controlled the influx and allowed for proper immigration of vetted and skilled workers, but the Liberals stopped properly vetting people and basically opened the flood gates. For a Canadian company to hire foreign workers, they used to have to prove there were no Canadian workers to do that job, so foreign workers were mostly used in seasonal agriculture work, but due to very shady government deals with big corporations Trudeau approved paying wage subsidy and turning a blind eye to Canadian workers so Singh Hortons (and many other big businesses) could have workers for a cut rate and the government tax dollars paid up to 70% of wages and welfare. Also Foreign workers think they can stay here once their visa's expire, refusing to leave. There is simply no need for Canada to bring in over a million Indians that are in hard times in their own country. Our welfare or culture can't stand it. From Poland. Arrived yo Canada at the end of 2020. I am nearing my 4th year here, in a small village. I arrived with my 6-year-old daughter to begin my writing career. Now, 40% of my daughter's childhood has been spent here and I I go to court soon to fight for my child to be returned home to me. After nearly one year- a year of financial hardship because I have to travel without a driver's license and without a group of friends to drive me- I have my very first hearing with a judge in Youth Court in a matter that has no foundation to begin with, follows no rule of law, and acts arbitrarily. My child whom I homeschooled to the praise of the provincial ministry of education and was following a classical liberal arts education path that had her outpacing students in the province was entrusted to the care of a Child Services company (that has a record of placements that have resulted in child murders). My child's life has been irrevocably upset to say the least. NO ONE LEAVING CANADA GIVES THIS STORY AS A RESON FOR QUITTING THIS COUNTRY. I guess no Canadians care about their children like I do my precious gift from God. True, O come from the former Soviet Union where Marshal Law (Emergency Measures Act) were commonplace. I lived through two in Canada in 4 years: one Federal, and one through Provincial Youth Court where I await my turn to see a judge after my daughter was removed from my care. People do not know they have no biological ownership of their children, because I guess few Canadians value their children to care about their own laws. But these laws also apply to immigrants too. What money was taken from me during the move and resettlement, the government takes by creating more expenses for me than I could ever imagine or budget for. Emotionally, I am a wreck.
