I also recognize that there is a a huge problem with Indian students being lured here under false pretences and this issue needs to be exposed. However, I don't think you should have given an openly racist person a platform to share their views and you laughed when they said obviously racist things. He said "I'm as racist as the next person" and you laughed. Sorry but what?! He is normalizing his racism and you are playing along. Just pick a different person to interview. Mass immigration is a horrible thing. It ruins culture and countries. Failed countries need to be held accountable for their failures. Their homelands need to take care of their people. Too many people come to the US and probably Canada definitely the UK. They get there and then expect the country to conform to them and their culture and that’s not right. People that move to different countries need to conform to that country and shouldn’t be allowed to be a citizen if they can’t speak, read and write that countries language proficiently.

I’m from a rural northern Alberta town with a population of less than 3000 people and the Indian demographic has probably doubled our population. The immigration of primarily Indian “temporary” immigrants is not isolated to western Canada or to large cities. Most are here on student visas but are also somehow business owners / owner operators and have since invited large families to relocate here. It has complete changed the culture of the town. Also, Alberta has one major highway from north to south and the amount of semi truck crashes along our highway and dangerous goods routes have probably quadrupled. :(

Break down from a Canadian who moved to the US. Basically, Indians moved to Brampton because it was a cheaper area, yet close enough to Toronto. Immigrants drove taxi or drove truck usually were paid in cash, leading to tax evaluation. So they were able to save more... They were able to buy a bigger house for cheaper basically. New immigrants move to Brampton probably cause it easier. They don't need to assimilate as much as they sued to. Canadian that spent 16 years in Japan. I went as an individual. I stayed as an individual. Married a Japanese. Came back to Canada for a pension and can't wait to leave. I were in Japan and if I saw a group of Canadians arrive expecting Japan to change for them, I would have been severely pissed off with them. Every other country and normal immigrant that came as an individual or individual family probably thinks the same way I do. No one in any country likes to see "Mass Immigration" and even Japan these days are looking at an influx of half a million Indians and who knows how many more Africans. This will change Japan and they'll turn a good culture into their shitty culture and I'm not happy with that. I liked being one of few. Yes I had American, Canadian, Australian, Kiwi and British friends as well as Japanese friends. But we were all individuals that adopted the way of living in Japan into our everyday lives. Immigration has increased because the government needs more people for the economy. The population 25+ years ago was enough to keep with the costs and demand. Now, Canada probably has a lot of demand and needs an influx of people both for education and jobs. Indians are enticed to come because they hear about towns that cater towards Indians like Brampton. Chinese people used to be the majority of immigrants and that was because Chinatowns would cater to them. Not to mention, these immigrants likely have temporary worker or student visas. These an whole thing with the student visas but I don't want to get into it. So Amazon and other large companies need a lot of workers for their demand and look outside of Canada to fill the job numbers. Meanwhile, Canadians that have been here for awhile are on the streets and jobless. So basically, Canada needs immigration for its demand but I think when too many people come all at once and from usually one country, Canadians will notice the change and feel the tensions that come with it.

Not everyone is like that in my experience, I'm not from brampton but I'm sikh and I have sikh friends who are white and indigenous as well. One thing people don't realise is a lot of Canadians are actually really racist. You clearly saw that from the interview of the guy and his wife who was an RN, they passed the exam fair and square but I feel like his lack of understanding of the English language didn't get his point across right. The point he missed was the quality of life is higher in Canada, In India it's way easier, the cost of living is way cheaper, there's tons of cheap labour to hire maids for all your house work for example which is common in their culture, but as you've probably seen online, India isn't the cleanest or friendliest place to be, and if he was a nurse in India he would probably be broke without a good job, and having the opportunity to find good high paying jobs in something that Canadians also do when they travel to the US if a position in their field isn't available in whatever local city they grew up in. The main issue stems from international students from like after covid, regardless of country, India is in the spotlight because there's just more indians compared to other countries international students but its all the same stuff, you have kids from all over the world that might not have learned the same cultural practices, fresh 16-18 year olds living alone for the first time that have to do all their own chores and don't even know how to take care of themselves in some cases or do laundry or anything like that and it doesn't mean they were illegal immigrants or anything, just that they never put in the effort to learn because they were too entitled, its the same with entitled kids that go to Korea or Japan from north America as well that don't learn their culture and customs and misbehave because they are too entitled, and once you understand that you can see the bigger picture more clearly instead of just defaulting to racism. Also I'm not saying they can't be frustrated, its frustrating for everyone, even for me but racism isn't the answer.

The older whites in Brampton seem to be blaming others because they failed in life. Anyone in Brampton knows a lot of the whites are on drugs in the downtown area. People started getting annoyed about Brampton when the international student boom happened. This is different from families settling or people starting families. Young students who are basically poor and desperate take up all the jobs and they pack so much into one house. Indian international students have ruined Indian reputation in Canada. Indians figured how to game the system and flood Canada better than other nationalities. And it’s true they do not integrate. They leave their land and come to a place where it’s just like home. Where they can live work, and go to school and not interact with any other race, ethnicity probably can go weeks without speaking English. Chinese have similar places like this but they’re not frowned upon.
