Working Canadians are struggling to live. Our adult children have no hope of owning homes. We need to get rid of the corrupt liberals!!!!!!!

Canada 🇨🇦 has been trying to attract more people from Europe and that has failed for years now because of our winters. Nobody has children like in the past and the demographic of our population has declined. If we don’t have children, then who’s going to pay for the pensioners to live? All the comments here are just about how crooked the liberals are and not a bad word about PP. If you google him you’ll find that he is worth $95 million and he’s a shareholder of Brookfield and yet he’s a god in the same eyes. Well Carney is a banker and I would expect a banker to have more money than just about anyone. I’m a conservative voter but I am proud to say that I voted for Carney otherwise we would have been sold out to the USA . At that time, we still needed a visa to enter Canada. To obtain a visitor visa, I had to provide: A valid passport A completed visa application form Passport photos Payment of the visa fee A letter of invitation (if visiting someone) or a basic travel plan Proof of sufficient financial funds (bank statements for several months) Proof of employment (employment letter confirming my job and approved leave) Pay slips or proof of regular income If self-employed: business registration and tax documents Proof of property ownership (if applicable) Evidence of strong ties to Slovakia (family, job, studies, business) Sometimes a criminal record check Confirmation that I had no prior immigration violations

Just an FYI here, lived worked my entire adult life in Canada, 62 now and don't have a doctor, can't retire anytime soon, but my illegal immigrant neighbours get 80 thousand dollars per year and free EVERYTHING! I made 30 thousand working and paying for them...GAWD help us all that have put our entire lives into paying for other people and countries well being, maybe one day Canada will put me first and make sure I can afford to eat in this country

Why is it so difficult to have reasonable conversations about this? But for some reason people either only get woke about the positives of Indian immigrants or only negative, sometimes racist about them. It’s fair to acknowledge that rampant, unchecked immigration ruins the culture. Like Indian driving culture is fucking terrible. You don’t want to bring that shit over. You can also acknowledge that early immigrants and their kids are often completely American/Canadian, from their native language, accents, education, references etc. And that Indians are generally a low-crime, high-employment, high-tax-paying immigrant group. It's time the government started deporting these kinds of people... They opened the doors to Canada for them—well, they didn't really open them, they forced their way in. And all they've done is undervalue the work, doing shoddy jobs and charging low wages. They ruin the good work done by others and pay them poorly. They're opportunists. During the Harper government my dad had a log hauling business in Alberta and British Columbia. We constantly got underbided by immigrant owned companies because the owner would be brand new immigrant who didn’t pay taxes, and got interest free loans and I believe, federal government funded subsidized immigratie employees. When that business owner had lost his immigrant privileges he sold the company to a family member that just immigrated into Canada. So yea not a perfect system by a long shot

I know some older Indians who assimilated well and made Canada better, but these new immigrants are no good. They want everything for free. My roommate is from the Philippines, but she works hard, is very clean, polite, and easy to get along with. So I'm not against immigration, but I want the people coming over to pay their own way. My mom and stepdad did that in the 80s and did well.

I just read a story that over 851,000 immigrants have left Canada on their own because of the high cost of housing and living conditions here , and won't this solve the problem when it comes to immigration in the country . A lot of immigrants who had skills in demand, after 5, 10 years decided to go back where they came from due to cost of living vs income. Housing for example in Canada is steep. Some left for USA, better pay, lower housing costs. Those that do not have skills in demand, having a job, it's pay is worth the cost of living pain.

People complaining do not acknowledge that Canada created a corrupt system where educational institutions made money from foreign students, foreign students in return were happy as long as they got to work. At least they are willing to work and pay taxes. In fact, we should look at the root cause of these problems. It is the colleges making money off these immigrants, it is the corporations who do not want to pay decent living wages to Canadians so they are hiring these immigrants at minimum wage jobs. This is called capitalism where the corporate has to save as much money as possible for their shareholders. So yes immigration is a huge problem but immigrants alone are not at fault. The fault lies with the government (federal, provincial and municipal) and the corporate entities in Canada as well.

Needs to be even tighter but since its been so high fir so long it may be too late. Ive seen young Canadians who canet find work and may have to move to the US for good futures some have already started and taking their skills with them. Canada dies not need high levels it needs more affordable homes, better paying jobs, etc do they can have kids and increase the population organically. To be honest this is something all political party’s from across the spectrum agree with in Canada at the moment, we literally have no housing . We the Canadian Tax payer have been footing rbe bill to keeo these immigrants/ refugees in rather nice 3/4 Hotles for the last few years . I’m a farmer who lives in the county but the closest city to where I live is Windsor and for the last 4 ish year the Government was hosting them in Five Hotel's across the city . It got to the point where it was cheaper for the government to BUY the hotels then rent all the rooms , so that’s what they did … No I’m all for helping people but that is kinda pushing it don’t you think ? There are no jobs for them , no homes for them , etc . We have been in a trade war for the last 2 years with the two largest economies in the world and we need to focus our economic power on thous conflicts at the moment and if the world like it or not fighting that is out top priority and everything else comes second .Even with out that fact Our former government overloaded what our ability’s where capable of handling . We have a pretty advanced social care network but these new folks who have never payed a dime into it and are living off of it for years with the government having no real plan on how to deal with it is just to much , with our with out the economic conflict we are currently in . As someone who grew up in Brampton, I don't have much to say other than its crazy that international students think they shouldn't pay more. That's literally how its like in every other country. If you don't want to pay more to study in another country, go study in your own country and immigrate later.
