Just look at Trudeau’s new $4.6M estate in Quebec less than a year after out as PM. Good discussion & reminder to all Canadians how badly the Liberal government was under Trudeau & now Carney spending hundreds of thousands in flight catering no projects done. Liberal immigration really hurt affordability, GDP is failing and debt has doubled. The CDN economy is a disaster.

The thing that never seems to be brought up is East Indians 80% own houses. They come here and they own houses and have businesses that they ONLY hire East Indians, have East Indian clientele ONLY because they all pay cash so they can circumvent the taxes. They all make babies like mice so give it 40 years and Canada will not be recognizable. And it’s the governments fault because they’re so greedy for tax money that they let the here by the boat load because they don’t wanna wait for the rest of us to make Canada larger population wise because it will take way too long. That and their tuition money for colleges, the list goes on in this non talked about bullshit that the liberals have done. They seriously do all this scheming and raising taxes just to give our tax money away to everyone but the people who pay the taxes. We could have put a huge dent in the national debt by now, but liberals just can’t conserve money hence their name. If it doesn’t stop soon, we are doomed. Surrey BC where I lived for 14 years, is just as bad as Brampton. They all own 1.6-2 million dollar houses in the suburbs of the city, all own businesses and all do the same shit as Brampton, circumvent the taxes. That’s the thanks we get for letting them here is to scam us so they can get rich quick while we all suffer and will never own a house by the looks of it. In Victoria BC where I live now, it’s gotten so bad that I can’t move out of my house I’ve been in for 4 years cuz I can’t find anything cheaper and this place is a 400sq ft 1 bedroom for $1850 a month. Can’t afford to do anything but survive while the immigrants all live like kings. There’s gotta be a line to not cross and that has been the case for too long where it’s been crossed for a long time and no one says or does anything about it out of fear of being called a racist. Call me one. Idgaf anymore. I ain’t racist. I’m just sick of the rules being severely crossed for money. Money makes everyone that has a lot of it GREEDY sons of bitches and it’s gotta stop.

Brampton born and bread here 🙋‍♂️. During my childhood and teenage years, Brampton was known to be one of the most ethnically diverse places in the world. It wasn’t until my university years I noticed an influx of people of a particular demographic in my city. Now, the majority of Bramptonians who lived in the city 10+ years ago have essentially been flushed out of our own city. I’m not opposed to immigration at all but what this group have done to the fabric and culture of Brampton is so sad. It’s moved from a city of diversity to one of homogeneity and it’s absolutely disheartening.

This is what gets me, I’m an immigrant. I came from a place where we speak a broken dialect of English. As part of my processing, I had to demonstrate my ability to speak the queen’s english. To work, the expectation is you’re able to communicate effectively with whoever you’re interfacing. These folks come here, make zero attempt to improve or learn English or French - the national languages. They go home after the day is done, revert to their native tongue. How would you ever perfect something like a language without some degree practice and immersion? And they do this with their generations. The 1st and sometimes 2nd generation kids will speak their native tongue first, before learning English or French. It’s like the language they should speak to effectively work and live in Canada is an accessory. The govt at all levels encourage this by having driving tests and forms in other languages. And don’t get me started on the pockets - Brampton for example. The politicians kowtow to the voters and give in to them having huge temples, and nonstandard shopping complexes. It’s a running joke how many Indians will be living in the same house, renting from other Indians collecting money under the table in completely unsanctioned and illegal rental scenarios. Companies set up by Indians, to service Indians. So they don’t even care to present as Canadian business with English / French. I’m in the midst of charting my family’s exit from Canada. It’s become something entirely unrecognizable. Where those who know how to game the system get ahead, those of us who play the rules - stay behind. I’ve worked my way up to being upper middle class. I’m about done paying for Indian “students” who later claim to be refugees. Who are now claiming to be in gay relationships, to support their refugee cases. It’s all a joke.

As a Canadian, I'm done. They and the liberals have absolutely destroyed any kind of identity we had here. My quality of living has gone almost unimaginably downhill regardless of how much effort I put into every section of life, everyone's have. We are done. Hey! Im a sikh that was born in canada, with my parents, grand father, great grand father also being in this beutiful country. I wanted to start of by saying a couple of things. My home was in brampton for a long time and I have personally seen the safety gone down, my family used to come back from trips with our garage open and everything would be completely fine. The long term sikhs and indians came and actually contributing positively and that can be seen with how good canada was pre 2020. Immigration too an extent was good, but mass immigration was never a good idea. In 2018-2019 the old time punjabi community was heavily against so many students coming in, so much so people that were indian had "no students" signs when renting their basements. It's sad to see people that came here running things so badly and ruining the effort and contributions made by many(I even face the consqeunces of things I have never done). Remeber don't be afraid to call out people for their bullshit, but also dont bash innocent people. Now many ppl came to canada and have done good like sikhs having the highest donors of blood, plasma, and platelets. We also giveway a lot in charity and food. A good news is Canada is cracking down on these bad people and quickly, and many good people who came are returning back home. I have seen a lot of videos online, but please remember algorithms and pushed media make things seem worse than they actually are. My message is I'm sorry for how these people are acting, my recent trip to Canada(brampton) I saw better quality service and more white folk too. Stay safe and god bless!

I’m done with immigration in Canada Had enough ,and enough is enough

I’m 49 years old and grew up in the UK. I was always proud of our multiculturalism growing up about 1/5 of the classrooms were of another country/race. Everyone loved the immigrants they came in worked hard and didn’t cause trouble, most importantly they intergrated. But something changed with this new wave of immigration. They don’t integrate, they don’t work, they want to cha ge the country and religion. They don’t seem to even like Brit’s 😂. It’s a sad situation. Govt has clearly done this on purpose so the natives have to fight for scraps by bringing in desperate people

The damage is done. Liberals ruined this country and let us down. They are just importing their voters. In 10 years they’ve been in power they created tones of new citizens to vote for them. I’m a first generation immigrant. The selection process for us was extremely hard. We were well educated professionals with university degrees, healthy (checked), had to provide funds allowing us to live for at least 6 months without any support from welfare organizations, no OHIP for 3 months. Why has this system been changed? How do all these people without education, money or skills coming here? Why our country is flooded with illegal immigrants? I love Canada dearly. It’s my home now. I’m a proud Canadian. And I’m very sed to watch my country decline like that. Shame on you Liberals.

As an immigrant who came to this country & fell in love with its culture 40 years ago, it's appalling to see how our beautiful first world country is quickly becoming a gutter. The newcomers these days are the privileged ones. All of us need to speak up, especially those of us immigrants who retain our original accents &/ non-white because our white fellow Canadians are accused of being racist whenever they do (though many could learn to be more eloquent. ie. go back to your country does NOT help)! So, just focus on the positive things in your new country & leave all your miseries behind... ie. Learn to adapt & enjoy your new country. Canada is a great country because of the love & effort of those before you, so now you are the beneficiary. Join the legacy by enhancing this beautiful country & its culture, so you can pass on this century old legacy for later newcomers to enjoy, like you do now. What dignity do you have & what kind of life lessons to your children by bullying your culture & religion into Canada at the expense of other Canadians? This will fracture Canada if everyone does that. Do you want this country to become so fractured & terrible that your descendants have to leave for a better country, like you did? Is that what your religion teaches you? Does it state it's perfectly fine to satisfy all your whims & wishes at the expense of others? Are you striving for Canadians to think badly of your race/culture? Are you being a good ambassador to your race/community/culture/religion? Canadians are so friendly & helpful, if you need help, just ask, please don't demand. Learn the language & it's ok to speak broken/pigeon English with gestures to communicate. No one expects you to be an English scholar; you gain respect for trying. Apply some basic Canadians manners, which goes a long way... Please & Thank You, Smile doesn't cost you anything, besides it's good exercise for your facial muscles. I worked my entire career with the public, I very seldom encounter negative feedback when I do the above. If they get nasty, I tell them that's definitely not the Canadian way to make friends & wish them Good Luck! I also make a point in telling the wealthy ones "Tax Avoidance is legal (I'm more than happy to show them), but Tax Evasion is not! Then reminding them....Canada will be bankrupt eventually if everyone don't pay their fair share of taxes. ie. You may not suffer, but your children/grandchildren will. Worst Case scenario, you didn't get the necessary medical care when you most needed it!!! We should lobby for a mandatory course that all newcomers have to take & PASS a test about Canadian culture & expectations. If they fail, no citizenship for sure! But that would be another hornets nest because our parliament will debate over definition of "Canadian Culture" for decades. Welcome to Canada!😂

I grew up with integration that I LOVED, met people from all over the world. I've been working since I was 14 I've worked for people from all over the world , rented from different people since I was 18 and learned great things I can add to my construction or cooking repertoire that you could possibly couldn't learn in the West without diversity. BUT now we have a group of people coming here buying up businesses while only hiring people from their country buying up single homes putting up crammy 8 plexus, and only renting to people from their home country. If these were French people like my heritage is, I would be even more pissed because I could say something without being called a racist. These immigrants are coming here with one goal retribution against the English Empire for the past or some shit, I dont know, and they're taking it out on us Canadians. over 5 years I've collected proof so I feel very safe coming out now and talking about this because I have everything to back it up. Those single homes I was talking about half of them burned down and they use insurance fraud money add multiple loopholes to use government money along the way as well, that's damn taxpayer money building parts of these homes... I'm a concrete worker they do not let these walls set properly, they don't seal the windows and doors properly, everything's going to leak but because they only rent to people from their home country after 3 years they can take their name off the property and nobody and I mean nobody is going to report leaks because they have a tyrannical control over who they rent to.... I dont even need to name the group because its OBVIOUS, living in the same city most ky life I've seen a drastic change, and this isnt intregation like my family did as they we're the members of french part of the metis tribe long ago. 5 years in a row they have added an average of 70,000 people legally to the city I live in I live in of 1.4 million people that is absolutely absurd the train system is packed all the way until 1:00 a.m.... it's just simple economics you can't add that many people and have a sustainable City.... these idiots never played sim city or some shit Also there are millions that came pretending to get spots in our universities and didn't show up, and these are the same people that are buying up all the businesses and houses and only letting the people from their own country be involved that is not integration....... There's also a huge problem with people faking Refugee status from this very place and there's even a few videos circulating online on just how to do it people from this country bragging how their making double of the average income of a Canadian a year PLUS free food and board from this fake Refugee status, HOLY FUCK! I'm done being quiet too. Im not racist, I dont hate people because their skin color isnt white like mine, Im happy to have immigrants here if they are willing to integrate like the previous generations have. We arent having kids because unlike other countries, we want to put kids first, and its irresponsible to have children when our economy is unaffordable to have them. As a proud Canadian I am so very done with these immigrants literally bombarding and overwhelming our beautiful country. We, Canadians need to come together. Unite. Deny all immigrants. I’m tired of hearing about these people that are not Canadian, not born here, migrated here, and are doing so many sickening illegal things to OUR PEOPLE. Kidnappings. Abductions. Yes these immigrants are very rude. They have no personality. I was in Walmart and the cashier of course an imaginant and she's so sour, and as my items are piling up .she said you have to pack these items away before I continue. In the meantime I'm getting my bags out and trying my best to hurry because the line is very long she's just standing there looking around instead of offering to help me pack up my groceries no ..... SHE doesn't do that. She's standing there. I found it very rude, disrespectful, disgusting and no help for another human being.. they have no compassion for our Canadian people. It's disgusting I'm truly thinking of boycotting Walmart. They need to be back in there own country. Not to come here and behave this way. Canada is Done. Um so tired of going to a store all immigrants working. Make a phone call it's answered by an immigrant. You can't understand them . I love on ccpd I don't get old age pension yet. I'm too old to get the child tax credit and I'm on a Canada pension disability. I get 713.00 a min to live on. Period. That's it. 😢😢😢 I struggle every day. I live in a seniors housing complex..so my rent is adjusted to fit my income. Thank God for housing I'd be homeless if it wasn't for them. 😢😢 But the immigrants have money. Have jobs. Drive new cars. Get free rent for a year. I waited 9.5 hours at the emergency😢😢 not the Indians they have Indian drs that work there for them. How in the hell is this ok. I ended up leaving the emergency I couldn't wait any longer. I sat there in pain all that time and two Indian families came in during that time and within 20 min at the most they were in and out. They even have an advertisement in the emergency room in their language with all the Indian drs working there. Wtf is going on. I'm tired of seeing these people. They are opening businesses here. Everything you see now is written in English, French and Indian. They call it our third language now. There are building going up that have only immigrants in them. A d I live in a small town but the city. Come on. They stopped saying the Lord's prayer in schools. They can't say Merry Christmas. Christmas concerts are called Holliday concerts now. Our kids don't know the national a them they stopped that. They don't know the Lord's prayer they stopped that. The schools are changed to not make other nationalities feel bad. The only reason you can use the term Immigrant is because the govt issued visas. But that being said the govt fast tracked the usual immigrant process which takes months to years. So in actuality this is not legitimate immigrants. It's unlawful what the govt has done and therefore these people are immigrants under cover of law. Or color of law. It's defacto. I call them illegal migrants. Most are not doctors or engineers or trades people even. Most are young men from 19 to their 30's. I'm an immigrant looking to get my PR, I have qualifications from one of the top universities in the world, experience as an international consultant and most important I do respect the Canadian culture and follow the rules. However, even for me it is uncertain what is going to happen? and/or if the government will make more changes and kick us out hahaha. Honestly I think the real problem is a smooth path to residency/citizenship. \nIllegal immigrants want to do it right but the system sucks and takes way too long. I am so thankful I have Greek and Macedonian citizenship. As soon as I'm done with my education, I'm moving back to Greece or Macedonia, somewhere there are hardly any Indians. I literally get lucky to see 4-5 white, black, or latinos a day in my city, the rest are all Indian, Pakistani, and Arabs. I don't feel like I'm living in Canada anymore, I feel like I'm living in the Middle-East. I worked in a retail store with where Indians shopped regularly. They were the very rude to the sales helps. They talked down to us and they were the worst thieves the store has ever seen. I'm thinking that the next government which I hope will be led by Pierre Poilièvre, will seriously opt for a solution like opening a Canadian school in India and in other countries so that people don't have to come here to study in a Canadian school/college/university. That way, they could study in their country without having to move and face difficulty in living abroad which for them should be only allowed for a certain number of years and then that they have to return to their country of origin. Once back in their country of origin should they want to immigrate here, well there is an official process for immigration that needs to be done. No skipping steps and that has to be done from outside of Canada.

As someone who was born in Canada and left, I wanted to know about some current sentiment, especially by younger people. I think you had some interesting information. I'm actually sad to hear that crime and homelessness has gotten even worse, especially in places like you mentioned, DTES. One thing I want to share with you about the housing issue. Canada acts like a Federation. Meaning that a lot of decision making is delegated to the provincial and municipal level. Yes, Canada has goals for immigration. That's a super valid goal because every developed country is going through declining birth rates. Canada wants to lessen the damage that will be felt by so many other countries like Italy, Germany, China, Japan, etc. The issue with this federated government is like you said, a disconnect between goals and readiness. However, I really feel this will never be accomplishable because of all the lobbying that occurs at the municipal level that the Federal and even Provincial level government cannot control. Yes, there may be shortages in labour to do development, but even then, I really think that lobbying and corruption is keeping adequate supply from being built. From the homeowners and the perspective of the wealthy property owners, they want to keep the valuation of housing high by keeping supply low. Why else is the municipal government keeping such archaic zoning laws? From what I could find, there has been some talk about changing this (https://bc.ctvnews.ca/b-c-to-table-housing-law-targeting-outdated-zoning-rules-1.6627260) but I struggle to see anything really being done. That's probably because of lobbying. The immigration laws set by the government had too many loopholes and flaws ultimately. I don't think we are getting enough productive immigrants. Actually, the opposite seems to occur a lot. The wealthy from the countries I mentioned are abusing the immigration policies in Canada to transfer and preserve their wealth in Canada. I think it has hid in plain sight for a long time, and people have started talked about it in the last 5-10 years because of the struggles of housing affordability from the middle class. I came from France back in 2015 whith my familly when Harper was still prime minister at the time , really I'd say things have been really great , my family and I have worked hard to get to where we are today and have always wanted to give back to our community here but I am disgusted to see in 2024 what Trudeau has done to the country and to see that immigration is no longer as prestigious as it used to be. Unlike some people we have today, I had to wait 3 years with my family before receiving approval to move to Canada (after so many exams, appointments and waiting times). I did my middle school here until college and I'm currently still looking for work in correctional and when I see that people arrive here afterwards without being permanent residents, who are literally flooding spots at colleges/university and also jobs that are normally open for young canadians in their 15-16 (When I was in high school, my first job was at a McDonald's, and without exception, everyone there was Canadian. I don't know.... I live in Montreal and I don't see recent newcomers as poor victims (I'm talking about most immigrants applying for refugee status) . \nWhy? \n1. I'm from the Yukon the place with the easiest path to immigration. It's so expensive there now, there is no entry level work and no where to live, yet they are isolated because most of the people are government workers so they don't realize what's happening. I'm South Asian. My sister used to live in Brampton actually before the whole invasion began. Good thing she saw the writing on the wall and left. Sad thing is, many can not differentiate the browns who have immigrated pre 1990 and the ones who have come in post-pandemic.
