No one has ownership of a country. That is the problem, people, specifically whites, thinking they have the right to dictate who lives in a country they have no ownership rights too. These people actually believe it’s their country alone. and it’s not just Canada, it’s a universal privilege they believe they have. It’s a mental illness rooted in hate. Go buy an island and complain over that.

Were to weak to speak up, we ban people for harsh words, We keep our heads burried in the sand then complain about how shitty things are. I'm Canadian. I've spend my entire adult life involved with everything immigration. I have no problem with immigration which to me is people moving. It offers great people and great things. I have a problem with women and children abused, in violence and almost killed and our resources which are suppose to help protect the men coming here doing this because as immigrants they have value and so support anything they do to innocent people here because they have more worth as human beings than people born, raised and who lived here all their lives. Two lives viciously destroyed to protect someone sick with hate who is chronic woman hater and abuser but he must be respected for it. As someone immersed all their life in "culture" domestic violence is not culture as in immigration it's abuse and a crisis brought here and then force by law respect for it when it is already here bc it is a planet problem. For people without a lifetime of knowledge you would be shocked if knew what people think and say about us living here and what they believe from complete ignorance. It is a belief everything is owed to make lives bigger and better for them above everyone else bc they suffered somewhere else but the assumption is every person in Canada had the opportunity born here that all people should be rich and if anyone is under that standard they deserve nothing and it should be given to everyone coming in. It is understood in some groups the purpose and wants of Canadian women is providing free services to immigrant men because this is how all Canadian women chose to live as women. The expectation of women is back to the stone age to obey, speak when given permission and respect abuse. Our authorities now back that up. Don't believe me you can see evidence. We are being forced by law to change. How many persons with criminal records are here in past decade was that recent news report? There's good and bad but if you don't respect the bad then see what happens to you because suddenly you will the bad one as a Canadian so be prepared to respect and appreciate everything you spent a lifetime believing you didn't have to. Some people could write an encyclopedia of wild and bizarre things and opinions and expectations of the views others have of life here and it would make most here all their lives want to flee and leave. There are two opposite meanings of what respect is. It amounts to respect them and everything bad and disrespectful to us or we have no respect any other names. This includes not one specific culture but numerous ones and I am referring to a different one than referenced in this video. Respect divided into two opposite meanings, ignorance, lack of care, abuse, hate and so many things which our government is permitting to happen and people are losing their physical lives and becoming physically and mentally ill and it is directly related to destroying Canadians living here, killing them to force a message of change of respects and persons need to die to force it.

I no longer believe there is anything Trump could do to deter his supporters. He’s openly aligning with dictators and bullying our allies, dismantling checks and balances and consolidating power, even talked about a third term?! There are enough trans athletes in the world and good enough shape to compete on a world in Olympic level and all the levels beneath those, that I'm going to say that if someone transitions who is already in the military and they can still pass all the requirements to remain in the military, they should be allowed to remain in the military. Edward Snowden, while in boot camp, and correct me if I'm wrong but I think he was training as a Navy SEAL, hopped off his bunk and his shins that were already broken disconnected and threw him on the floor. After his surgeries and Rehabilitation he was allowed to return to training. And this was with two broken legs that took weeks to announce themselves by disconnecting and misaligning to the point he could no longer Walk and Run on them. If he can do that then somebody suffering through all the crap that they have to go to go through to become another gender and the hormone balance they have to maintain afterward and they can still do their job they can still get in the rain, they can still run an easy 10 before breakfast, with a full pack they can still Shoot Straight they can still command they can still follow they still love this country and want to uphold our Constitution and defend it against all enemies foreign and domestic, then they should be allowed to stay in the military. A physical and mental Fitness is all that's required then I'm going to say this officer qualifies. Are you kidding me. Are you not in Canada right now. Canada is now the most poor country in the World. Immigration has gone to the roof. No housing. Rents and forget about buying a house in BC, AB, Quebec, Ontario. High unemployment, Inflation is high and going up more. We also do not have a military defense system and the U.S. is tired of Canada not spending money to meet their responsibility as a Nato country. Many Canadians are leaving the country permanent. Investors and businesses are pulling out. Canada is trillions in debt but keep printing more money (toilet paper). Canada has gone downhill significantly over the past ten years. Born Canadians and legit immigrants having to go through a rigorous immigration process are very unhappy and cause conflict. Besides all the different ethnicities cause unrest and are ungrateful, daring the burn the Canadian flag, uttering death to Canada, death the US and Israel. These trouble makers have not intentions to assimilate into Canada's culture and are disrespectful to the Canadian government and it's citizens. Our youth are very unhappy and do not see a future for themselves yet have to work very hard and pay unbelievable high taxes. The minimum wages are only 15 bucks an hour which cannot sustain life here in this country. Please stop making false promises to foreigners to come here and be disappointed. This is not a country of milk and honey any longer but poor and enormous homelessness. Hunger, terrible health care, incredible post secondary tuitions and books. Now that president Trump has won the election he is going to place tariffs on Canadian goods and rightfully so. Russia is very interested in the Antarctica and should they or anyone invade Canada we got 3 days of ammunition. The food in AB is very bad for your health. Everything has pesticides, hormones, and by the time fruit and vegies arrive here from the US all the nutrition have gone. A extremely high cancer rate, young and old, diabetes, depression and other mental disorders are rampant. Our children and grandchildren do not have a future so why bother going to school or work. Our kids live on the streets, shelters, camping in the woods and using fentanyl and meth all kinds of dangerous drugs. The cities and small towns are full of used needles, pipes, and more paraphelia just thrown on the trails everywhere. The US will not assist Canada when a possible War 3 will occur, and we the people of Canada and the land are easy prey. If you do not believe me, just come visit RED Deer shelters and walk around on the trails, go to Vancouver but becareful because random assaults are happening every day, people living in tents, using the streets as toilets, drugs galore, even the police is unable to act nor arrest criminal activities caused by desperate people who need to survive. Canada's economy is about to collapse and fall into a recession. We have too many people coming in our country without checking their back ground and many criminals and terrorist groups are entering declaring refugee status whether it is true or not, we do not know. The people of Canada who work and pay highest taxes are used to house these newcomers and education, jobs, food and money. Our government take better care of these illegal people than their own people especially our youth. So please let us not pretend Canada is a land of opportunity and great. That Cuban woman describes a lot of minorities believe it or not. Just after reading comments from some Germans here, it really feels like that racism, chauvinism and zero-sum thinking are just a part of their mentality. They seem to believe that foreigners working in their country shouldn't have any voice, because having independent thinking or claiming some rights means abruptly that you aren't integrated.\n\nMany of them feel like foreign workers shouldn't even be given opportunity to come to Germany in the first place, because supposedly average German doesn't benefit from having larger workforce or higher productivity.. which is pure economic and sociological non-sense ?\n\nTight housing market plays now against immigration narrative, but that's caused also by inferior construction speeds, high interest rate, higher cost of materials and by the labor shortage.

TFW here, east Asian, a couple of things:\nI am paid the provincial minimum wage, and work in the dairy industry, medium sized farm.\nI started working straight out of high school\n\nFrom what I can see and hear from across the province and largely in the western Canadian provinces, older generation farmers are at the retirement age, but the younger generation is generally very reluctant to take over. \nNot all industries, but definitely in livestock, people sometimes don't realize that, there is literally no breaks, ever! You work every day, holidays, Christmas, and if you do chose to take a few days off, your co-workers, i.e. other family members or workers, have to take up the extra workload. You barely have time for your family, you are often tired around your kids. Farmers have some of the highest suicide rates among all occupations, as well as a difficulty to find partners due to the nature of their jobs.\nThe work is hard, days long, especially during harvests, and if the ever more expensive tractors, equipment fail...\nThere used to be a lot of family owned farms, over the last few decades most have sold their generational farm and left the industry, most because of the cost to operate and because the next generation's unwillingness to take over.\nYong people my age have not been seen applying for my position in a few years now, despite ongoing hiring effort at significantly higher than minimum wage, and I have repeatedly stated that I, although love my job, am ready to step aside at any point so a Canadian PR or citizen can take my position, as required by worker rules. There were a few inquiries from neighboring areas, mostly made by parents, but their children in the end all refused to work, even part time, or seasonal.\n\nOn the other hand, there is the issue of prices: equipment costs have largely more than doubled since the pandemic, grain prices rose... and all that on top of the constant uncertainty of the weather every planting and harvesting season. I mean, if it wasn't for my particular interest for agriculture I'd pick Starbucks any day too!\n\nI think a couple issues are at hand, \n1. Most of agriculture's profit ends up in the corporate processing and supermarkets, that needs to change, workers could benefit, as well as consumers, from distributing that profit between farmers and shoppers.\n2. Agriculture in today's context no longer fit the modern life, although I strongly think that A LOT of people can benefit from getting their hands dirty once in a while and sweating a bit, improve physical and mental health, have better discipline all that jazz. So foreign workers are the temporary solution, if well regulated so that Canadian PR and citizens are ALWAYS prioritized for hire and at a fair wage. This cannot happen unless farmers can turn a profit, stated in point 1.\n3. A new generation of farmers are needed to take over, and they need to be somehow convinced that it is worth the toil, because as it stands, it is not, financially, life style wise. Automation is one solution, although therein lies the huge, foreseeable risk of corporate takeover.\n4. On a specific note, TFW does mandate that workers are provided up to standard housing (not always followed), which puts local workers at a huge disadvantage if they are commuting to work and paying rent, although that rarely happens, and the majority of farms do offer housing to all.\n\n\nI am aware that me being treated up to regulation is not the norm among my TFW peers, which is quite sad and unacceptable. But in my opinion, even if given a leveled playing field, wages , conditions, housing, etc. Canadian citizens and PRs largely will be unable to meet the demand for these jobs, from unwillingness to work really hard physically, unwillingness to live the lifestyle, wanting a career with better prospects... these are harsh words, but I believe to be true, and they also come from a lot of older generation farmers talking about their children and grandchildren. \n\nThis is just in the agri industry, and from what I hear from farmers from all over western Canada : )

Somehow Poland accepted Ukrainian refugees with open arms. And why yes, some commit crimes and behave in unbecoming ways but vast majority learned to speak polish,work polish jobs and uphold cultural and social norms. Having lived in migrant-rich places in UK and Scandinavia, this is simply not the case with migrants from Islamic countries. Their culture, heavily influenced by religion, doesn't have the same values, promotes seclusion from unbelievers and using unbeliever's resources at will because they see non-muslims as beneath them.There are Muslim women in Sweden who are there for 20+ years and speak NONE of the language. The epidemic of sexual abuse , property crime and gang violence, the statistics about learning the language, culture, statistics about employment, even personal interviews are good enough proof that majority of these migrants aren't willing to uphold our rules, our culture and are NOT going to be suitable citizens of Europe. Why should we be paying for people who gleefully admit to not wanting to work and feeling entitled to social benefits? Only France and UK were colonial empires, the rest of Europe had NOTHING to do with the state of Middle East.\nWe sympathise with people wanting to escape from religious fundamentalism, from fear of retribution for their identity and there are separate programmes for them. However we have every right not to want Islam and it's rules and it's fanatics anywhere close - religion is a remnant of the middle age and religious fundamentalism, be it Christian of Muslim is nothing more than an excuse to be hateful and bigoted. Europe has worked hard to free itself from that kind of mentality, to have majority of people who genuinely believe in things like gender equality, LGBTQ+ rights, disabled rights, right to healthcare, equality under law and so on - vast majority of which are not compatible with what vast majority of practicing Muslims believe. They don't like us, they don't like the way we behave and dress, they don't want to live like us and follow the same rules- why are they here if not for the resources? If they were there for human rights issues, they wouldn't be bringing the opressive faith that is the source of the human rights violations in their homeland.

Moved here from Slovakia in 2016. I would never believe that one day we will think about going back... \nMain problem here is Canadians. Most of them are submissive, not having own opinion TV endlessly trusting liberal people who absolutely don't think for themselves or about something that is served to them and refuse to see the truth. I moved to Canada as a child with my parents 41 years ago. It isn't just inflation and cost of living that is the problem. It's the dramatically increasing racism and discrimination, even against people who have been living in this country longer than the racists discriminating against them. Seriously? This is not the Canada that I came to as a child, grew up in, or have lived and worked in for many decades. I made the mistake of working around the world for a short time and picking up an accent that wasn't even mine originally. I had a Canadian accent before finishing elementary school. To come back to be asked to go home or 'we don't want your sort here' is not just simple racism, but hatred that makes me regret ever having agreed to taking on Canadian citizenship. My kids and grandchildren have Canadian accents and were Canadians from birth. But should they leave and return to the same crap??? What disgusts me more is that the PM dares to include immigrants with refugees, under the banner that 30% of the population are immigrants. Under the law, refugees are temporary migrants and usually nothing more. Canada used to be a good country, but when a person has to keep explaining where they got their job experience from and if they have any Canadian experience for every time that they look for a job in their lifetime in Canada, something is very wrong with Canada. Most jobs in Canada are blue collar and very few are white collar, yet Canada still continues to deceive the world into believing otherwise. Canada is a great vast and beautiful land, but only a small percentage of it has any infrastructure, roads, or homes sufficient to house what is a decreasing fraction of society. Refugees take preference over immigrants and citizens alike. The lie about the homeless is getting bigger. Most homeless Canadians today are veterans, elderly, disabled, mentally ill, poor, and professionals and trades people, yet Canada brings in countless professionals, claiming that their education and experience will get them into the professions that they are coming from. It's all a scam! Canadian education is not the best and yet people with better educations and job experience are being forced to spend all their money to go back to university or college to get jobs that they rarely will be hired for. Canada is not short of doctors, just short of professionals who hire professionals without using discrimination, hatred and racism for their HR kit! Many taxi drivers are doctors, engineers, and so on. So, please stop lying to the world and tell the truth. And no doubt this entry will be taken down because it offends a Canadian who doesn't want the world to know the truth.

last time i was there was in late winter of 2017, there was a lot of red lights (warning signs) back then but people were euphoric because of the surge in real estate prices. the euphoria was so tangible, it felt like i was surrounded by a sect. then the mental health crises was a shocker. the rat race was worse than i remembered. i also realized how immature my generation in canada was, because in my circle barely anyone was getting attached to life long partners, ie being married. mid-sized cities felt like toronto in terms of immigrants. it was warmer. i have a feeling if i landed in toronto now it would be a late 80's eastern bloc feel to it, ie nobody believing in it anymore.

I was just forced by my husband to come here in 2010. I never plan to live abroad but I went for the sake of the kids and dont want regret. My husband is mentally ill even before we got married(family took advantage of me when they saw I was an independent widow that time). Upon arriving here, nothing was prepared,no beds no nothing just the social housing and he was already orienting me to get food from food bank and simply convinced me to follow here for the child benefits,free education and healthcare. Let me just mention, the family of my husband is claiming they were rich and prominent in the Philippines. Fast forward....14 years after, he didnt get a house for us....I just ran after him for child support....he didnt finish the divorce process that I ask him to do upon arrival....now, that its time for him to pay tution fee for college, he is mad! He is so desperate that he brainwashed one of his sons to blame me and make me feel like the whole thing is my fault! My son almost killed me last time bec his dad getting sympathy and ranting that he has no money. This is the biggest regret of my life......I believe if my sons are educated and grew up in the Philippines, they are more happy and was able to tap all their talents and intelligence. I am done here! And for people telling me that the money we earn here we dont get in the Philippines....sorry, my peace of mind and dignity has no price tag. I am not materialistic too. Respect to humanity is all we need!

Every time I go back to Toronto, I see how dead all my old friends are inside. They should've followed my lead and gotten the fuck outta there a decade ago (when things were already pretty bad). No amount of therapy can help you if you're living in a rat cage. You want to improve your mental health? Start with a healthy environment. (I believe it was a black latino psychologist who first said that, though, which might explain why said advice is \ngenerally ignored in mainstream culture. Also, keeping people stressed and hopeless means more money in psychologists' pockets. ?)

Well the issue is when you come to our country you should fallow our rules and there should always be a grey area for a weapon but even a religious weapon if someone comes by grabs it off the individual you could potentially now given someone a weapon to hurt individuals. I think what people don’t realize is the issue isn’t the Sikh let’s be honest here religious people fallow to a T most of the time it’s the other civilians and such with mental health that pose a threat. Lynn, this Canada thing is a common sense thing. Same reason a Tanzanian will not come to kenya to sell tomatoes on the streets due to high competition on the field. Any country you move to it depends on what you will go to do and who will help you get on your feet. Canada is extremely beautiful and one can prosper extremely well financially compared to kenya BY FAR! But you can’t come from the village and land in Toronto and wait for a job and opportunity to come get you from the airport! Am very honest. I live abroad, in one of the richest countries in the world and believe me, I have seen even their own citizens suffering economically. Why? What are their skills and plans and expectations? I read somewhere, with all the wealth in the world, if all was to be shared equally to every one the universe, the rich will become rich and the poor poor -again. So a kenyan should first plan who they will live with for atleast a year while they get on their feet, put their hustle mood on n be willing to take any jobs, plus get out of the mentality that one must be in a big city! Other places outside cities really have low costs of life and offer more opportunities. Just saying

Beware of the single narrative. He’s speaking from his own experience, but it’s not the same as everybody’s. I’ve lived in Canada now for 4 years…got my citizenship this year. I lived in Nigeria for the 10 years prior to moving to Canada, and I also schooled and lived in the UK before that, so I speak with a wealth of diverse experiences. \n\nBefore you move to Canada or anywhere else for that matter, do the following:\n\n1. Research the country you’re moving to…what jobs are in demand, how that aligns with your qualifications…if you need to recertify or retrain in a different field. Many people move here thinking “oh I was a bank manager in Nigeria, so I’ll move here and become a bank manager”. It doesn’t work that way. The streets of Canada are littered with qualified medical doctors who drive Uber because they didn’t understand how difficult it would be to be certified to practice here.\n\n2. Find role models who are living the life you aspire to, or who have made similar moves and seek advice or guidance, and learn what they did right/wrong. Don’t just assume because your friend moved here, you can also move here and live the same life. You don’t share the same life experiences, history or have the same network.\n\n3. Before you immigrate physically, you have to immigrate mentally…be in the right mindset to live in a new country, understand their culture and learn to adapt. If you’re expecting to leave Nigeria and move to Canada to live a Nigerian lifestyle with “owambe” parties every weekend, or having 4 cars and 3 housemaids, then you’re still living in Nigeria mentally. Even Justin Trudeau does not drive 4 cars.\n\nI work in tech, so I knew that with God’s grace I’d find a way to succeed here. My wife worked in a Nigerian bank, and was able to transition to tech after we arrived here. Our combined annual income is roughly $500k, and we both work less than 40 hours a week, and I believe God will continue to bless us. I have easily 20 or 30 friends and colleagues who moved within a year or two of each other, and everyone is doing fine and working in tech jobs paying 6-figures. \n\nDon’t be discouraged by people’s failures and hardships. With the right planning and mindset, you can achieve your goals in any country. Reach out to people on LinkedIn, build a network and ask for advice (constructively)…many like us are more than willing to help.

The truth is that it is easier for younger folks to integrate than Older folks..reason I encourage younger people to immigrate, you have enough time and patience to understand the system and integrate properly and also at this age you have little or nothing to miss back home. Also I believe the interviewer will have a different story as regards the financial aspect after he becomes qualified doctor in canada. Comments from a Canadian. Homeless people are generally concentrated in the larger cities but in the past few years it has become a real problem. It is a real problem for the people when the temperature drops to -30C. Mental wellness is a huge issue. The racism issue is mainly against the indigenous. The doctor migration to the US is a money thing, not better conditions. Getting a family doctor is easy in some places and difficult in others, generally in rural communities. Getting a reference to a specialist is not an issue and I believe this may be a doctor specific issue. If your GP does not refer you, ER will take care of you. The issue with referrals is the triage system that may result in a longer wait to see the specialist. This is in contrast to the US where one can see a specialist very quickly, if one has insurance. In Canada, every citizen and legal resident has the ability to receive medical care as covered by the provincial medical systems which differs from province to province. Many doctors are now offering online communication with your GP and specialist. Your finance comments are inaccurate. There are 5 nation wide banks but there are also nation wide credit unions and provincial banks which in my opinion these tend to offer better service than the big 5 (exclude National Bank, which is big bank but more investment focused). Cell carrier monopolies is a real issue. Cell carriers are recently offering unlimited data, no long distance to the US, etc. Other countries have a definite advantage here. The government has enabled conditions for a new carrier a few times but eventually, these smaller carriers get swallowed up by the big national carriers. More recently Rogers bought out Shaw which limits our choices further. Sales tax is not always 10-15%. In Alberta the sales tax is 5%. Passing courses and evaluations ensures there are standards which is a good thing. Would you want a Civil Engineer designing a road or bridge that is not suitable for the climate? How about a doctor with questionable credentials? Agree with your recommendations for hiring. It is expensive to hire and train a new employee but can be much more expensive to fire an employee. Agree with the housing crisis comments and the reasons. Getting an absent owner to fix a property? This is crazy inaccurate. Multi-dwelling properties have property managers paid to look after the properties regardless of who owns it. While on the average, foreign investment may not seem to contribute to property prices, this is not the case when looking a the local sectors of the big two - Toronto and Vancouver. There was a case in Vancouver where a property with a shack sold for over $1MM. This is not because the house price was unrealistic, but because of the property location and perceived property value. This is a direct result of foreign investment in houses in the Vancouver area resulting in a lack of properties. Many of these foreign owned single family investment properties remain empty most of the year. Another big issue in many Canadian municipalities is the lack of building code enforcement. The laws are in place but not always enforced.

Canadian here - I won’t even visit the US, and I live close to the border. So many Americans are frighteningly mentally unstable, carry a gun, and believe in looking out only for themself and don’t care about the well-being of others /society. So, hell no. Not ever.

I watched a news reel this week about drug addiction and poverty and I could not believe how extensive the ‘downtown down-and-out’ areas were in many cities in EVERY state. I can’t believe how the governors of certain states are focused on attacking LGBTQ issues, controlling women’s health, allowing anyone (regardless of their mental health and past criminal behaviour) to buy guns- lots of guns, guns that only armed forces or law enforcement would require. Why aren’t they focused on the huge hollowing out of their cities due to drug addiction? It’s a bizarre country - certainly not a 1st world country anymore.
