Let's go back 30 years when Europeans who came over had to buy and run a business for 5 years then they could apply for Canadian citizenship. My cousin came to canada under a 1 year work visa,, shes white french woman.. Speaks 5 languages, has 3 degrees, ran a business in France.. she landed here 1 years ago,, had to spend 400$ to prove she speaks ENGLISH, (she speaks it fluently),, she paid taxes the moment she landed and got a job, bought a car, a small apartment. Everything Canadian,, not like these degenerate scum sucking immigrants. Had to spend another 500$ to extend her visa for another year.. Everything was going well. Until these worthless liberal cockroaches knocks on her door and told her she has 1 month to leave, because shes taking a JOB away from a CANADIAN!!!.. Are you fuckin kidding me.. These worthless ungrateful, self serving pakis, indies and chinese and who knows what else we let in, are getting subsidies to work at tim hortons,, Walmart,, canadaian tires.. Meanwhile our real Canadian kids can't get summer jobs or part times,, because of these worthless immigrants. Shes corporate, she doesn't take small coffee serving jobs..

A lot of immigrants who had skills in demand, after 5, 10 years decided to go back where they came from due to cost of living vs income. Housing for example in Canada is steep. Some left for USA, better pay, lower housing costs. Those that do not have skills in demand, having a job, it's pay is worth the cost of living pain.

I live in a city called Chilliwack, in BC. In the last 5 years I almost don’t recognize the city I grew up in anymore. The demographics have flipped. Entire plazas are now Indian food restaurants or pizza places, all owned and staffed them by. It used to be every fast food place here was staffed by teenagers or retired seniors, now virtually every single fast food place is staffed by a 30-50 year old foreigner. During the covid BS, they kept aggressively pumping in more and more of them. You go up to cultus lake in the summer, or Harrison Lake and it is like you walked into India. They blast their crappy music on stereos while 30 of them sit on a blanket, littering, starring. We had to get up and leave our spot at the beach last summer because 5 of them (men) came to sit behind us and they all just stared at us. It’s like the ones they’re pumping in have zero concept of first world norms. No self awareness, and no desire to inter-grate into our society and learn our language. It’s unbelievable what has happened, what our politicians are doing.

Way too many and jobs Canadians need are being taken. Homeless shelters at capacity . healthcare crashing. Canada already crashing financially and they continue to bring 3rd world into a country needing to breathe. Here's my life in canada. denied work. On 5:20 the lady says I came 50 years ago, and she barely speaks English. How is it possible? I came as student in 2013 I am now Canadian from past 5 years. I just want to mention government is to blame for They earned so much money from international students. I studied with Ukrainian Chinese Mexican and Russian students . They weren't good in English as well But they all worked very hard and very dedicated. Initially it was difficult find job they asked young students for Canadian experience which obviously none of the students had Ircc is laziest department. Even college cares about fees only. Because if student leave the college they don't get back the fees. So they are absolutely fine with this kind of fraud. .and private college are worst among everything. Students doesn't have to attend college. The fraud is now they just gets degrees and some else studies for them. Canada is not corrupt but Canadian politicians to get votes made Canada curupted. Covid benefits fueled this . Downhill started with Covid ended.

I came here 5 years ago and every year since then it's gotten worse. The government stewed the country. I was working for GFL as a drivermaking $29/hr and they fired me on the last day of my probation, then call me back a month after trying to pay me $21/hr now its mostly Asians working now. I grew up with integration that I LOVED, met people from all over the world. I've been working since I was 14 I've worked for people from all over the world , rented from different people since I was 18 and learned great things I can add to my construction or cooking repertoire that you could possibly couldn't learn in the West without diversity. BUT now we have a group of people coming here buying up businesses while only hiring people from their country buying up single homes putting up crammy 8 plexus, and only renting to people from their home country. If these were French people like my heritage is, I would be even more pissed because I could say something without being called a racist. These immigrants are coming here with one goal retribution against the English Empire for the past or some shit, I dont know, and they're taking it out on us Canadians. over 5 years I've collected proof so I feel very safe coming out now and talking about this because I have everything to back it up. Those single homes I was talking about half of them burned down and they use insurance fraud money add multiple loopholes to use government money along the way as well, that's damn taxpayer money building parts of these homes... We literally have 5 million Indians in Ontario alone looking to get into the USA to live and work. They came here to get PR so they dont have to wait 20 years in india to get a work visa. With Canadian PR can get into the states in under 5 years. You guys are in deep trouble, not a single leader in Canada LIBS, CONS, NDP want to decrease immigration from India. There is very little to no checks to whos coming it. Trump and Musk not helping the situation with keeping the visa programs going. Should have Americans working American jobs, no one else.

You know how you fix the problem. Anybody harboring in any way or helping in any way should be put in jail for a minimum of 3 months instead of putting the criminal in jail or the illegal, you send them back to Canada. Or Mexico or wherever they came from and the person that tried to help them has to pay by sitting in jail for 3 months or longer. A second offense, 5 years, a third offense life. I came from Asia, I came legally. It was difficult to enter the US. I had live in the US for 5 years before getting the right to take a test to be the citizen. It is not fair that they just across the US border then get the place to live, get free mobile, and get citizen so soon. It is not fair for the Americans who have worked hard and pay tax, then money from tax paid to feed illegally. Canada never assured PR for anyone, at any point of time.\nOnly the eligible will get PR, and the rest will have to go back to their respective countries. \n\nIt is a positive news that about 1 million temporary workers/students will be given PR in the next 3 to 4 years.\n\nI remember a student, who came to Canada ?? in 2007, studied/ worked for 5 years, and went back to India, as she didn't not get PR.\n\nOnly those occupations which are in demand will attract PR. \n\nThere is nothing new in this. I can't understand, why there is so much confusion over this issue.

The policies implemented by this government have created significant challenges that may take years to resolve. Unfortunately, this risks leaving Canada with a workforce ill-equipped to meet future demands, while losing both talented Canadians and highly skilled immigrants who could have been integral to the country’s progress.

As American citizen I move to Thailand 5 years ago, I legally came into this country, I have to report every 3 months to immigration, I have to show document that I have proof of income, I have to have sufficient income to live here, if not they would kick me out! There's no handouts here in Thailand, there's no crime, no racial tension! why a AMERICA can't do the same?

It’s all a corporate governmental banking and human trafficking scam. Every person the government brings in, the government can borrow from the bank in the form of a bond! Once your visa expires, then you have to leave. And the company that brokered you to get you here requires a fee, plus they get a fee from the government as well. And the company that hires you gets a subsidy from the government. The company won’t tell you that there are limited jobs or housing. They won’t tell you that you can’t use your degree if you have one, when you come here. You have to go threw all the associations and organizations to be qualified to practice your trade.And that costs more money! Back in the 70’s and 80’s people came from many other countries, and within a week or so, you’d have money in your pocket from working a basic job. Now once you get off the plane, you are at least over $40.000 in debt. Your education cost double, housing is limited and expensive along with the hi cost of food and fuel for that expensive used car. Then you find out that you’ve been lied too by the brokers that got you here. And soon as you get your landed status, you get hit with the taxes! And if you have any children during your 5 years, the government tells you that you have to register them, so the government can create another bond, so they can borrow more money from the bank! The government gives you a birth certificate, but they own your children until you go to a court of law to get a certificate of custody! Because if you decide to leave after getting your landed status, the government may not allow you to take your children with you! Look up family court and custody law, once you get here, the government manages you on behalf of those who own you! You need to look it up for yourselves and understand that any western country that you goto is ruled by Rome. And if you came from a country that was once a colony of the British empire, you will get here a little easier, it’s a simple transfer because they have your record on file in the city of London. The place that is 1 square mile within London itself! That place that Rome controls! Yes! It’s a big scam and you are the product!

I came to Germany in 2008 to do my Bachelors and later did my masters and working for 10 years now. Got my citizenship 5 years ago. Lets say i have to travel a lot due to my work.. If i move out of Germany, it would be only because of insane tax . I expected even a colder or harsher condition but since my expectation was soo low, it was all good.. At my work place, the working language is only German. I knew that before so it was not a hard time when i was thinking from time to time regarding the difficulty.. \nOne thing and most important thing, Even after getting your citizenship in Germany you are not automatically a German. You are just a paper german ( Even though i dont hold other passport ). I knew this before and it was not hard for me but for many immigrants who become german citizens, they will still be seen as an Ausländer .. Thats the reality which will take another decade to change.

My experience has been different. Came at age 48 with family mostly for children future. Initial struggle followed by more than 20 years full time work in a company owned by Canadian but most of us working immigrants from different countries. Had a wonderful experience working as a team. Company grew from 5 including owner to about 30 when I retired. Most of of my contribution was from skills I obtained on the job. The flexibility I got was help to spouse and children. The three of them achieved good outcomes. Taxes are high. I never worried about that as children had professional education with no financial help. Only my steady basic facilities provided as I had steady though lower income than what I had back home in relative terms. What we get back from taxes we pay in health civic facilities education for children is great return of taxes paid. What I got was quality living. No luxuries. My purpose of coming here more than fulfilled. Happy family. Grand children now enjoying higher quality of life than what I had or my own children had. I do notice recent trends of immigrants expectations not very encouraging. I have enjoyed the multicultural atmosphere friendship and regard for each other. My colleagues and I have been of great asset to the company we worked in.

This scenario is not what it was about 5+ years ago. I think all levels of government are accountable. Hope blaming immigrants is right. They probably are also affected unlike those who came in 5+ years ago.

Canada relies on immigration for pretty much everything 1) colleges make money 2) landlords make money 3 ) government makes money from more taxes 4) banks make money from more mortgage applications 5) realtors make money . And they know majority of international students goal is to later. Buy a house Punjabi people own more real estate then most people in Canada combined. YGood day. For from context I'll reveal a little about me. I am around 27% Indian, 34% northern African people which is around 61% combined. My other ancestry includes Wales, Sweden, Norway Scottish and Irish, Hebrew/ jew as in from 12 tribes of Israel, However, the world calls me black Jamaican born. I live in small town with population under 41,000 people in northern Ontario Canada for past 21 years. I remember when I came here with company contracted to build and say very few black people mostly French African and some mixed black with some Chinese probably total under 20 people other than white or indigenous peoples. Over the years was steady increase of black, Chinese, Philippino, and my Indian doctor and his family to maybe total around 50 none white none indigenous peoples. Just before pandemic we had a large number of Indian students which was awesome to see considering my heritage as my grandmother on dad side was Indian. But a year before pandemic we noticed many started working in convenient stores and fast food places like most high school students do to save for college/university which was becoming a problem for Canadian students as some employers got incentives or cheaper labour to maximize profits. As pandemic rolled in so it seems more Indian students from other regions in Canada. So, Canada, Ontario, and small town I reside already had huge housing problems as some homes we even to be condemned and indigenous homeless from north increased crime rates and now we had students living beyond building code occupancy with shared living causing rentals to shoot up in prices as landlords became greedy and selfish. This small town of under 41,000 is by some estimates over 55,000 by increasing Indian students who for past 5 years fighting to get permanent residents even though they came as students which proves the goal was always invasion and coming as students was the ticket. If you and rest of new immigrants don't see the problem yet, I'll continue. 95% of taxis have Indian drivers, 98% food and other delivery Indian, 90%+ convenience and groceries, clothing and all stores 90%+ , vehicles on roads 70% Indian, my son barely got into college with 90%+ Indian population in college and his class is 2 white students, himself only mixed , and 2 Africans and 22 Indian students who cheats on a regular basis but professor afraid to confront as they are quick to call racism. But even bigger for me is these Indian students/new immigrants have no respect for the history of Canada and USA not knowing how indigenous peoples were raped tortured and murdered to take over this country and then enslaved African people to build this country while they raped tortured treat less than animals and still suffering with fighting for equal rights for over 400yrs while still being racially profiled and beaten and murdered by police officers because of this colonizers system. Now you come here and benefits from black and indigenous peoples struggles and claiming rights when you have not been fighting the battles with us or for us. Also, the criminal aspects of your community is not being taked about as well which includes extortion to businesses owned by Indians, car thefts, drug trafficking, human trafficking and other criminal activities. There's so much more than just saying you feel unloved by the people you're taking things from for their children and grandchildren and generations without showing any respect as that is defined as selfish. I don't hate international students, and I understand that they came here with hopes for a brighter future. But... evidently, we have to face the fact that this is not the same Canada that it was 10 or 5 years ago. This Canada has fallen so bad it cannot even sustain its own citizens, let alone non-citizens. It's tough luck, but they shouldn't have chosen Canada, not with the way it is right now.

The only thing I would say cause you seem to be very young. Is that brampton actually in the 70's and to early 2000's used to be mostly a white and black community and then other cultures. I am born in Toronto I have a cousin born in Toronto who currently lives in brampton she owns a house in brampton for about 25 years. And is going through a lot mentally with the slamming. We got of people from India mostly in the last 2 years, but it's been going on slowly over 10 years and she's not doing well with the overwhelment of Indians and we're of black Jamaican heritage. So just so you know, brampton used to actually be white and then black was actually the second largest population and everybody else was after that. And then in the last 10 years they started coming but it wasn't in hundreds of thousands and then in the last 2 years it blew up insanely. As that man described is like an invasion. I now live on the West Coast of Canada and the same thing has happened here. And it's been a lot for me Canadian born. I've always grew up with every culture. I've lived and worked around the Indians that used to come here were literally not even on the radar. I mean you see them, but you just they just blended in because most of them had assimilated and were doing their lives. The breed that has come over specifically in the last 2 years is what is making it even worse cause if they acted like the ones who came before 10 -20 -30 years ago. They probably wouldn't stand out, but then again when you bring in almost a million, into all of Canada, they would stand out, but maybe people wouldn't be so agitated, if they had tried to assimilate and be respectful to the other cultures here and that is the number one complaint I hear anytime, I see interviews. Is people saying they don't assimilate? They're very rude to anybody who is not them. They are just interacting with the environment. The way they do at home, Canadians are more quiet and try to be respectful of other cultures. We like to just have their own space and our own peace when they're moving throughout this space and a lot of people describe the energy of the Indians coming in almost evasive into your space and then not really carrying anything about invading ur space. They act like, so what's the big deal if I'm in your space and that has been the number one issue is just the rudeness. Not assimilating and imposing their culture, speaking their language, not attempting to integrate with other cultures showing actually a lot of racism to some of the other cultures. And that has been the biggest problem. So just so you know, cause I can tell you're young. I'm North 40 years old and I can tell you. The demographic change has been so intense everywhere in Canada especially in the last 2 years. That I have even seen podcast with Indian people who have been here 10 -20-30 years, saying the government needs to figure out a way and get a good swath of these people gone because they are. Staining them with a negative brush. Cause I can tell you. It's only in the last 5 years. That I notice Indians. I've grown up around every culture. And I just don't notice individual cultures in that way. Until in 2022, Trudeau took the guard railsl off the foreign worker program and the student Visa working program. And just said Hey, anybody want to come bum rush the door now? And India is known for having middlemen in India that work with Fake Diploma Mills scholls with brampton having over 80 of them that the middlemen work scamming Indians by telling them if they pay anywhere from $5000 all the way up to $50,000 even higher to get fake school acceptance letters, so they can come here to get the word permit and work full-time or with companies that provide fake LMIA job offers on the black market, which is illegal under the I.R.C.C, but that is a thing that they had prior to 2022. And when Trudeau took the guards rails off when it comes the requirements and basically. Made it a free-for-all and as India already had the scamming infrastructure in place that kept their population moderate and it just allowed th scammers to go nuts, so that's why we got mostly Indians. Other cultures do it too, but it's so tiny. It's not noticeable. The Indians already had the infrastructure in place that when they took off the guard rails, it was easy for them to switch and start selling these opportunities to go to these fake schools was over 80 of them in brampton t such a lightening speed. Hence why we got slammed so hard-and-fast with that specific community.That just really we're coming here to work and send money home and that is also why a lot of our banks are now struggling with cash reserved because they're sending money home. I came to Germany from the UK in 1991, and was already fluent in German. In those days the Ausländerbehörde was incredibly unfriendly and demanding. They have got better over the years but there is definitely different treatment of UK citizens people from other countries. When I applied for citizenship before Brexit, it only took a few months. Now although it is supposed to be a faster process, it takes more than a year to even get an appointment, which is completely ridiculous. The reason is the lack of personnel. I accompany foreigners to the Ausländerbehörde and there is definitely different treatment of non-eu foreigners although it depends on the individual person in charge there. Even the period of residency given can vary between applicants by 1 to 5 years, depending on who they see or which Ausländerbehörde. This seems very strange and unfair considering that an annual fee for a residency permit is around 100 euros and involves 2 visits (the foreigner has to take at least a 1/2 day off to attend the appointment).

I praise the Author for admitting to the wrongs being done by Indians. But 5-10% is wrong. In last 5 years most of the students and temporary workers who came to Canada have been THE part of the problem. Most of them should not have been here for any reason.

Many who come were clearly NOT properly vetted as they are dangerous criminals. Most of the “students” have no intention of returning to India and came to stay indefinitely & feel entitled to do so. I came to germany 5 years ago.\nLearned the language, did an Ausbildung and BELIEVE ME, tried my best to become a part of the society but the society is shut closed COMPLETELY.\nPeople are very unwelcoming and they all stick to their 'own group of people' - not only germans but also immigrants from the middle east.\nThey love catergorizing social status and are deeply condecsending.\nIn addition, it feels like germans don't want people who are eager to climb the ladder and eventually become a higher level employee but they rather want someone who would just stay in the entry level position who would do all the unnecessary repeatitive work that no one wants to do.\nBecause of this tendency, I see a lot of managing level employees who are disgustingly incompetent but are only there just because of what they are (if you know what I mean).\n\nBut again, these are just based on my experience and maybe it's just how it is only in the city I'm living in :).

Most of them were exploited . They had class only for two days and in the remains 5 days they worked in fast food chains for minimum wage. They came here not for the quality of education, but for PR. Most of them kept their house as collateral and took loan from bank. How will they pay it ? It will take some 10 years to pay the loan in Indian salaries. Imagine you take loan which take 10 years of your life for repayment and you learned how to make pizza. It’s so cruel.

I am 45yo and from Brazil. I visited Canada for the 1st time when I was 12. I fell in love with it. Decided I would live there some day.\n\nTen years ago I returned with my wife. The idea was to show her around and see if she was onboard with my plan. She loved it!!!\n\nI am the kind of guy who plans ahead (military...). Our plan was to get papers in order and apply for residency so we would move there around 2025 or 2026.\n\nOur plans started to change about 5 years ago with all the madness that came to Canada during and after the 2020 flu season. \n\nWe recently got our permanent residency elsewhere with better climate, great food, lower costs and much more freedom. \n\nWe are moving next year. \n\nBut Canada taught us that one has to be paying attention to the signs. It all changed so fast in Canada. \n\nBut it is still a beautiful place. I just do not intend to call it home anymore.

I totally agree with you...I moved to Canada, to join my wife who was born here and moved overseas with me. She came back 5 years ago and I joined her three years ago. For her, this place has changed alot, and not to the better. For me, it was a shock, as services here are much less than services in third world countries. I am not planning to leave yet, because I still have faith that we can work with other Canadians to make this place better. My family came from Japan in 2007 (I had just turned 13). I have spent the second half of my life in Canada, turned 30 yesterday and got married in Vancouver last weekend the, graduated high school in Vancouver, got my PharmD degree in Nova Scotia.
