I've bin doing alot of sales on Facebook marketplace and can't help but notice a pattern of the Indians being the least reliable and most Scammy I wasn't racist until a few year ago when they started flooding into this country they're just plain and simple not as respectful.

I’m a proud Indian who is now a Canadian citizen, and I’ve made a conscious effort to assimilate into Canadian culture and values. What bothers me is how this conversation has been reduced to blaming one group. The reality is that the Canadian government failed first by not properly managing immigration volumes, not enforcing document verification, and not honestly assessing whether the country could support such rapid population growth. That policy failure created pressure on housing, jobs, and social systems long before resentment followed. We also need honesty within the Indian community. Some Indians struggle to adapt being overly loud, culturally rigid, and sometimes lacking empathy for Canadian norms and shared public spaces. I studied Canadian and Indigenous history in school, and respecting that history matters. Assimilation doesn’t mean abandoning your culture, but it does mean understanding and respecting the society you chose to join. Cultural education should be expected, not optional. That said, one Indian doing something wrong does not make all Indians bad. Most Indian students and workers I know are hardworking, punctual, and serious about contributing. I’ve personally worked minimum-wage jobs for years, and what I noticed was not jobs being “taken,” but fewer Canadian youth willing to stay in or commit to these roles long-term. Indians didn’t replace Canadians, they filled vacancies that already existed. I also briefly volunteered helping the homeless, and what I saw was honestly shocking. It’s not that the government isn’t trying to help there are rehabilitation programs and support systems in place. The difficult truth is that a significant portion of the homeless population struggles with substance abuse and refuses treatment because it requires giving up drugs. Over time, homelessness itself starts to function like a culture, where benefits and assistance unintentionally enable continued substance use rather than recovery. This is an uncomfortable reality people don’t like to talk about. None of this is simple. Immigration didn’t break Canada, and neither did one community. Poor policy, weak enforcement, lack of accountability, and refusal from governments and individuals to adapt responsibly is what brought us here. Blame is easy. Honest solutions are not.

Immigration isnt bad...its good. But open borders and a very flast influx of foreigners isnt. It doesn't make them assimilate nor does it help canadians assimilate to them. They just avoid eachother until they can't. Immigration is supposed to be a process/privilege, not to be taken for granted. Do it slow and nobody will even notice.

What I noticed in this video is the people from Indian community respects and helped the interviewer as their own and heard no negative nonsense. Hope we can all live together in harmony and respect each other with no hate.

Horrific - just imagine you meet such a person in the workplace, you immediately notice they are in over their head ... you spend a lot of hours of your own time trying to help them learn, and then you fall behind in your own assignments. That is my reality, always getting into trouble for trying to help the ungrateful.

the hindus don't denigrate anybody. ...except those untouchables over there. they're subhuman filth. i think most canadians aren't pissed off about the immigration, exactly, and are more annoyed by the shift in resources. it's a pretty big country with a lot of empty space. they set up in a small town and didn't bother anyone. that's roughly in line with canadian values. however, during that time, we've seen a lot of cuts to systems that were intended to help people born in canada and a shift in resources to help people born elsewhere coming into the country. white canadians are correct in noticing that the government has picked a side, and is shifting it's resources to helping this one group at the expense of the other, and it's had visible results that you're helpfully documenting. it's relatively clear that, whatever the merit of that initial shift in resources, it's had some unexpected effects, and that policy needs to be reevaluated. it's relatively clear who needs government resources in brampton in 2025, and the answer is not the same as it was in 1995.

What an excellent video! As an immigrant, I embarrassed de culture and costumes, but I noticed that many immigrants just repeat here the same things they hated back home. It makes no sense! And it makes even less sense, that the government uses taxpayer money to help everyone else but Canadians.

I can't help but notice the overwhelming support in the comments for the Canadian stance. Tragically many Canadians now consider the USA to be approaching enemy status.

If your most stable genius noticed that this very eloquent man referred to very. simple. speech. and. short. main. sentences. when addressing him? A message to Trudeau. Put an export tax on the Oil and Electricity sold to the United States. Open up new European Markets for Oil and Natural Gas product and sell directly to Europe and Japanese markets. China needs oil, there is plenty of market around the world for our products. The Tariff's imposed by Trump is only going to make product to the US more expensive for their own citizens, and with Tariff's on all American imports, if they can't make it, or they don't have the raw materials to make it themselves, they will have to pay more. It is not necessary to impose Tariff's on USA Products to penalize Canadians, but Canadians will find new markets to replace the US, and we won't even notice it happened. We have alternatives. The southern islands are great vacation locations, and with the weather disasters they have suffered over the past few years, they could use the tourist support to help rebuild, and, their people are friendly and don't carry guns.

As a u.s citzen I'm appalled and ashamed of my president. The elites got what they want but doesn't mean it will last they talk about exposing corruption but yet are doing some pretty corrupt things why do we only get 2 choices for a president and lesser of two evils why don't we pick someone with morals and that have the best interest for our country and people not just the rich cause I've been struggling before during and after trump maybe we need new congress and stop this dumbass blame game of pointing fingers when dems and rep come together we can be unstoppable why are people so stupid and selfish like we have it easier than most country's last I knew we don't eat cats or dogs so that tells me are economy not as bad as other places just seems like the rich are losing and this will help them stay rich. The Dems will make them dependent on them and their Handouts so they can stay in control forever, similar to what they do in our inner cities. Accept the fact that this is the leadership that we (the majority of) working, middle class Americans wanted. We are pulling the economic weight in this country and we are tired of pulling the weight of those that do not contribute.\n\n2. If you haven't already, get a job. Every business in the country is hiring. And you get paid for the work you do. And the harder you work and the more you learn, the faster you will advance, and the more you will earn. That's how you get the deals you desire.\n\n5. The Civil Rights Act of 1964 protects you from discrimination by age, sex, race, etc. DEI openly violates this. Democrats want you to believe the opposite is true because they value your vote more than your quality of life.\n\n6. It's not the government's money, it's your money. You absolutely should give a damn about how it is spent.\n\n7. We are not the World Bank. If other countries need help they should raise their own finances. There is way more oil in the ground than lithium, and guess where most of that is? China. Want food prices to come down? Then energy costs have to come down. Your average soldier is not going to respect a leader or want to follow a leader who used to be a man and is now a woman and Vice, versa! I agree with Trump and Crenshaw even though I don't Crenshaw. There is no room in the military for this BS. I served 10 years and this BS is nothing more than a huge distraction. You have people who were going in just to get the operations. They spend 4 years in the military changing gender on tax payers dime. Out of the whole 4 years they may be deployable for about 6 months and that ain't all at the same time. When I was in this stuff was not an issue! They were not allowed to join and neither were gays.\n\n Think about it everyone is so bent out of shape over sexual assault well if you take a couple of gay guys and put them in an infantry unit they are going to look at all those men the same way a straight guy would look at all the girls if he was dropped off in an all girls collage. Nothing but problems and issues the military doesn't need!!! Seen it first hand back then when it was not allowed. Incase no one noticed military recruitment is down to dangerous levels! These are just a few examples from many observations. I’ve noticed that some individuals from India may struggle to adapt to certain social norms when abroad. For instance, in quiet train compartments, they might speak loudly on their phones, disturbing others who are reading or seeking relaxation. Similarly, when renting accommodations, cleanliness is sometimes overlooked, leading to issues like attracting pests. To address such behaviors, it might be helpful for the Indian government to introduce programs that educate individuals on cultural etiquette and the importance of cleanliness before they move to countries in Europe or America. Please be more civilised ?

It's honestly really sad how we have to walk on egg shells about it, but it's a cold hard fact! You can't help but not notice it. The past decade has had a huge soar in International students.

I can't help but feel there is a entirely biased narrative going on here the problem with the pandemic is that it left people who had some mental issues. I bet too much time on the internet and unfortunately fell down the rabbit hole of a lot of Russian push propaganda and that's what I'm feeling here. You're talking about taxes and not benefiting yet. I'm sure you've gone to the hospital several times and are not $300,000 in debt from a month stay the part of having benefits like that. + A decent social net is paying taxes you can look at the Philippines as a place that's as corrupt and remove social services and can see what happens there when there is a disaster. The only aid that comes in is through international charities or expats donating you'll be moving to Bulgaria and you'll notice that European taxes are pretty much on par with Canadians You're far too young to be buying into Trump russian-backed propagandab and I'm hoping with whatever's happened you personally and proves so your judgment can as well too. Few things I noticed:\n1) Indians dont respect Canadian standards of personal space; we do not live in a crowded country so back up a bit.\n2) Indians do not open up personally quickly; often keep to themselves.\n3) Dont understand most people have integrated into society, so we encourage you too. Its not fair to assume everything is “white” so you fight/oppose but fail to consider its a hybrid Canadian culture. We are not so imposing of any of our “old-world” ways. \n4) You talk on speaker phone in public too much.\n5) Business ethics.\n6) the everyday spam/text scam calls from India are not helping.\n7) scarcity mindset, if im shopping for something they have to invade my space and see what it is and if they can buy before me.\n8) Rude drivers, constantly cutting off.

This is great news! Those returning to India should stay there and improve the country and help to make it clean, healthy, prosperous, and beautiful. \nTIP: Learn and watch videos of Japanese schoolchildren on how to be clean from an early age. I've travelled throughout India for 4 months and can say without a doubt it is one of the most putrid continents on earth. So much emphasis on caste purity and ritual purity, yet complete disregard for physical purity and environmental purity. The world notices.

Low skill and low wage might have been ok when costs were low - low food prices, low energy prices, low housing and rental costs, etc. Now that everything is incredibly expensive, Canada is stuck between a rock and a hard place. Either wages will go up (which have been fairly stagnant for the last 30-40 years) so that it goes above and beyond inflation, OR you will not be able to bring in low skill, low wage labor. Simply put, when rents are $3000 a month in Toronto, minimum wage of $15/hr is $2500/mth (before taxes). Add another $1000/mth for food, and $500/mth for other expeditures - and you can see that just to survive - a person in Toronto needs a minimum of $4500/mth to not be on the streets. And this is IFF they are not married and have kids which can easily drive expenses to $6000/mth\n\nSo... for someone to just live normally, they need a bare minimum of $30/hr for 2000hr/year - this is a salary of $60K before taxes!\n\nBut the median income in Canada is 35K to 40K (it's on your tax return which determines if you get extra help from the government).\n\nSo... with these prices - you will never get low wage workers here... period. You can't expect immigrants to work as slaves and then pull your country out of the mess you created by spending money on useless programs like a drunken sailor.\n\nCut costs, cut taxes, cut inflation (stop printing money), cut useless programs (ala DOGE in the US), allow housing to crash, diversify your economy, invest in start ups and entrepreneurs, increase salaries, scrap the carbon tax, etc. Notice - none of these have anything to do with immigration.

The reality is, the U.S. takes 50% of ALL THE WORLD’S immigrants, LEGALLY! That’s over 1 million per year! My experience has been different. Came at age 48 with family mostly for children future. Initial struggle followed by more than 20 years full time work in a company owned by Canadian but most of us working immigrants from different countries. Had a wonderful experience working as a team. Company grew from 5 including owner to about 30 when I retired. Most of of my contribution was from skills I obtained on the job. The flexibility I got was help to spouse and children. The three of them achieved good outcomes. Taxes are high. I never worried about that as children had professional education with no financial help. Only my steady basic facilities provided as I had steady though lower income than what I had back home in relative terms. What we get back from taxes we pay in health civic facilities education for children is great return of taxes paid. What I got was quality living. No luxuries. My purpose of coming here more than fulfilled. Happy family. Grand children now enjoying higher quality of life than what I had or my own children had. I do notice recent trends of immigrants expectations not very encouraging. I have enjoyed the multicultural atmosphere friendship and regard for each other. My colleagues and I have been of great asset to the company we worked in.

What I noticed in 2024 and my living years on Earth is these rules regulations and all systems weaved in to help have and are helping it all collapse implode on them selfs real soon. Imagine computers shut down what then you don't exist and become illegal technically.

I remember a few Indian immigrant families during the 70s to 90s and they were very respectful nice families in our community. But now in 2017-2024 all these immigrants from Punjab are always very rude to me at my workplace. The women never say hello to me (I am a white female) and they just walk by me arrogantly or look down and away. They're always gossiping with each otger and wasting time at work. Im glad that international student Job hours were dropped to 20h a Week. I definitely seen a drop at work. Few years ago we'd get High School Students who get Summer Jobs. I lived in Ottawa all my life...maybe 2015, they started coming in so fast, I've never really seen so many Indians...now they're all over the place. Not saying it's a bad thing. I'm Canadian; lived abroad for several years (in Europe). I returned here a few years ago and one of the things I love about Canada, which I really noticed was contrasting to Europe, is that we are not afraid to be self-critical (even extremely so), to re-visit the injustices in our past, acknowledge them, and work to try to rectify them. Also, there is a strong sense of community: most Canadians want to help improve their communities and help our fellow citizens. There are indeed some serious problems, as there are in all other countries, and we hope to overcome them and improve our society by working together. For me, one of the beautiful things about a country, what makes its society really interesting and even attractive, is our ability to constantly recognizing our mistakes and faults and try to improve upon them.

Most of what was reported here is true but the housing market and rents have skyrocketed all over the world since the Chinese government F'd everyone with Covid-19. At first there were supply chain issues with all goods so businesses said we have to increase prices. Once supply issues were back to pre-Covid-19 levels businesses did not & will not lower their prices on goods because , we as a society do not take matters into our own hands and boycott products\\company's etc. Now obviously we cannot boycott all goods & services but the majority we could and that is the only thing that would cause action among companies to lower bank fees, fast food prices, grocery prices, cell plan costs etc.\n\nWith that said, you picked two of the highest and most sought after city's in CAN to rent & or try to buy a home. Although rent & home prices have really jumped all over the world in the past 3-4 years, more affordable (still not cheap) housing, compared to Toronto, Vancouver, can be found all across CAN. My sister & brother in law found an apartment to rent in Winnipeg without any difficulty or waiting. \nThey are immigrants and entered on her student Visa & he is a computer programmer. They are not struggling to eat but they have to follow a tight budget since she cannot work but 20 hours a week as a student and they have 1 kid, a car payment,utilities, cell plan, etc. They have filed for their PR and I suspect they will be approved since his job is in demand and she will graduate from College there in 4 months or so.\n\nOne thing I noticed, when my wife & I went up to get them settled in, is that the government (national & local) taxes you all pay out of the wazzoo on everything!
