The problem is, Canadian govt called too many..and that's all for money. Coming as a student needs lifetime savings. For anyone who doesn't know, it take upwards of $50k dollar to come to Canada as a student And that's for those diploma mill colleges. And students need an Extra 20k , often more to pay the remaining fee for next year, which means they have to work no matter what. This is why you see Indians working everywhere. there are 10 indian "students" living next door in a single family dwelling of 3 bedrooms. they share 3 cars and do uber eats delivery (and or other food delivery) around the clock -- reason i know this is because they often pull into my drive way during ungodly hours for extended period of time and triggers my surveilance camera (aimed only at my drive way set to trigger more during night times for movements and noise), since they just park there, and blast music so loud 100 feet radius ground is shaking, the surveillance cam picks up their shift change all the time. i did try to go over twice to voice my concern, and guess what, they either dont speak english or pretend to not speak english. ok i guess. and the reason they park on my drive way is because, well, they dont shovel theirs. lol. so its easier to just use my drive way and walk to their side door. but hey i mean good for them for making a living. but its just weird and disrespectful. and i have to worry about salting my own fking drive way because if they fall, they can sue the shit out of me and i cant complain about their trespassing. bless the canadian law. so i guess for me. they dont bug me, except the fact they just use my drive way because its convenient for them, and the blasting of music middle of the night. lol also i stopped going to tim hortons a few years ago after a few consecutive diarrhea immediately after morning coffee visits. good times

I’m a proud Indian who is now a Canadian citizen, and I’ve made a conscious effort to assimilate into Canadian culture and values. What bothers me is how this conversation has been reduced to blaming one group. The reality is that the Canadian government failed first by not properly managing immigration volumes, not enforcing document verification, and not honestly assessing whether the country could support such rapid population growth. That policy failure created pressure on housing, jobs, and social systems long before resentment followed. We also need honesty within the Indian community. Some Indians struggle to adapt being overly loud, culturally rigid, and sometimes lacking empathy for Canadian norms and shared public spaces. I studied Canadian and Indigenous history in school, and respecting that history matters. Assimilation doesn’t mean abandoning your culture, but it does mean understanding and respecting the society you chose to join. Cultural education should be expected, not optional. That said, one Indian doing something wrong does not make all Indians bad. Most Indian students and workers I know are hardworking, punctual, and serious about contributing. I’ve personally worked minimum-wage jobs for years, and what I noticed was not jobs being “taken,” but fewer Canadian youth willing to stay in or commit to these roles long-term. Indians didn’t replace Canadians, they filled vacancies that already existed. I also briefly volunteered helping the homeless, and what I saw was honestly shocking. It’s not that the government isn’t trying to help there are rehabilitation programs and support systems in place. The difficult truth is that a significant portion of the homeless population struggles with substance abuse and refuses treatment because it requires giving up drugs. Over time, homelessness itself starts to function like a culture, where benefits and assistance unintentionally enable continued substance use rather than recovery. This is an uncomfortable reality people don’t like to talk about. None of this is simple. Immigration didn’t break Canada, and neither did one community. Poor policy, weak enforcement, lack of accountability, and refusal from governments and individuals to adapt responsibly is what brought us here. Blame is easy. Honest solutions are not.

In Canada, we imported almost 10% of our population is the last five years, the majority of whom came from India. There's no doubt that Indian culture is not the same as Canadian culture, and importing such a massive number so quickly means we are far more likely to see those cultures bumping up against each other, rather than giving them a chance to assimilate and blend. Like any good cook, I know if you try to add the eggs too quickly and in too much of a hurry, you get scrambled eggs in weak sauce, not a thick creamy custard. Same principle applies to immigration. We need to give people the time and chance to learn and absorb our culture and values, else we end up with ghettos and a weakened society.

There's something missing here. I don't understand why people from abroad are being treated as though they are above and special. People from Canada don't even have clear pathways made for them to get wherever each of our aims are. What about investing in ones own citizens? What am I missing? The news presents these stories in an offensive way which fuels annoyance towards incoming. We know you're not a number but why do you have such an entitlement attitude, why do you think you deserve anything from us and why do you think you deserve to get when it means a Canadian will suffer?

I have such mixed feelings watching this video and the following is just my opinion. I am an immigrant from India too and I love my country's values and culture but I also realize its drawbacks. When I came here, my immediate instinct was not to change everything to how it was back home...It was rather to learn the culture and values of Canada too (which I know is in and itself a mixture of multiple cultures). If you are reading this my fellow Indians, It is truly my most humble request to remember that you don't have have to quit your culture, but that does not mean that you make no effort or take part in involving yourself in other cultures or mock them. You have the chance to better a country that has offered YOU a better life. Please don't ruin things for other immigrants or Canadians. We are resilient, and we can choose the best of both worlds.

I came to Canada in 2023 for a new life and a dream, but left this India for the USA... if you know what I mean...

As a Brampton raised kid, I lived there from 97' till about 2023, I'm caribbean and we have a large indian/muslim/hindu population too on our island. (Trinidad) and the issue with Brampton is: Indian people will gladly intergrade, but Canadian borns won't welcome it. Walk with me- I'll use food for an example. Every other grocery store is middle eastern/asian/african in Brampton and its becomes harder finding more western style food. I love international food, I cook it often but if you're used to burgers and pizza and only know how to make spaghetti it feels like a 'take over' These people want what they want and even though all these places are free for you to also enjoy they don't like it cause it's too 'foreign' to them. It doesn't mean there isnt still a No Frills or a Walmart or Metro, but because the african and halal store are closer and more frequent it seems like more of a convenience to others and not to you. When people say we're multi-cultural, they mean 'yeah he's brown or black but he keeps it to himself' They aren't going to go to that Sikh temple giving free food, and only go to the church at the beginning even though they're welcome to both. It's the same for Diwali and other things, white people dont care to be interested in those things, and just wonder why they get to have it at all. I do agree with that indian lady at the beginning though, with lax immigration you come in feeling like you don't need to do anything to assimilate. They're doing themselves a disservice by only helping themselves. I hate stereotypes being perpetuated onto people but like that Pakistani guy said too, you live in a bubble and you don't pay attention to that. You can go days without speaking english to someone. You can't immigrate somewhere and shut out everyone already there. I get you may not feel welcome by the white people like the ones in the beginning and so you dont mess with them, and its easy not to. But there needs to be openness with helping everyone benefit from multi-culturalism and not just some of us. There are issues with immigrants not wanting to go outside their bubble and for canadians not to want to either, It'll be hard to (with the current issues we're facing as a country) to actually blend together more.

I work in the secondhand clothing business, and I will say that some things are quite shocking. I’ve met people who are from India and Pakistan who have been in the country for 40 years and do not know any English whatsoever. It worries me and that worries me because it means that woman, especially within that culture have no idea what the human rights are and have seen many abuses because of that.

Not everyone is like that in my experience, I'm not from brampton but I'm sikh and I have sikh friends who are white and indigenous as well. One thing people don't realise is a lot of Canadians are actually really racist. You clearly saw that from the interview of the guy and his wife who was an RN, they passed the exam fair and square but I feel like his lack of understanding of the English language didn't get his point across right. The point he missed was the quality of life is higher in Canada, In India it's way easier, the cost of living is way cheaper, there's tons of cheap labour to hire maids for all your house work for example which is common in their culture, but as you've probably seen online, India isn't the cleanest or friendliest place to be, and if he was a nurse in India he would probably be broke without a good job, and having the opportunity to find good high paying jobs in something that Canadians also do when they travel to the US if a position in their field isn't available in whatever local city they grew up in. The main issue stems from international students from like after covid, regardless of country, India is in the spotlight because there's just more indians compared to other countries international students but its all the same stuff, you have kids from all over the world that might not have learned the same cultural practices, fresh 16-18 year olds living alone for the first time that have to do all their own chores and don't even know how to take care of themselves in some cases or do laundry or anything like that and it doesn't mean they were illegal immigrants or anything, just that they never put in the effort to learn because they were too entitled, its the same with entitled kids that go to Korea or Japan from north America as well that don't learn their culture and customs and misbehave because they are too entitled, and once you understand that you can see the bigger picture more clearly instead of just defaulting to racism. Also I'm not saying they can't be frustrated, its frustrating for everyone, even for me but racism isn't the answer.

The problem is that Canada didn't just take immigrants from India, they took in criminals in the name of "asylum". In certain parts of India, there used to be small-scale separatist movements, back in 1970s and 1980s. Senior Trudeau saw this as an opportunity to vent his frustration for India's not signing of NPT . So the guy kept giving "asylum" to the violent separatists, to "teach India a lesson" (Yeahh... sure) Gradually, it became so that once you have gained enough rep in organised crime, drug trade, so that it's difficult for you to stay under the radar in India, running from law enforcement, you would run to Canada, UK or Australia, and ask for asylum, with whatever reason. And those countries, in their stupid sense of righteousness, would accept it without any background checks. Now, yes, it's a trouble for us (good job), because most of the gang leaders are hiding away in these countries, running their operations remotely. Indian officials are only able to nab the low-level gang members. But it also means that these countries now ALSO have the worst criminals in their cities. And once they settle down, they will do what they know best .... crimes. And gradually they become a problem for their host countries, as well as other Indians in these countries. (Whenever Khalistanis do any parade, they force other Indian families to put up their yellow flags on their homes, to make it look like they have massive support) It's not good for anyone, but these countries have put themselves in a position from which they have no idea how to extricate themselves. Sure, you may blame Indians. But we were literally asking you to send those criminals back, and you refused to do so. Now they are your problem. If they create problems for us, then maybe, they will drop de** in some parking lot. But apart from that, most of their activities are going to be Canada's problem to deal with. They are already turning the streets of Canada into a drug paradise, hurting the young people of both local and Indian origins. Such a waste of life and potential.

I grew up with integration that I LOVED, met people from all over the world. I've been working since I was 14 I've worked for people from all over the world , rented from different people since I was 18 and learned great things I can add to my construction or cooking repertoire that you could possibly couldn't learn in the West without diversity. BUT now we have a group of people coming here buying up businesses while only hiring people from their country buying up single homes putting up crammy 8 plexus, and only renting to people from their home country. Now im watching teens unable to gain independence unless their parents i Know someoneone who can hire them meanwhile no one can understand the person taking their order at tim hortons...Canada is to expensive now and we dont have the means to support these people anymore. Its costing us more with what they have done to our economy . Some of these people have zero care for human life ether they drive like A holes and cause accidents that cost lives. Canada is no longer a welcoming happy country. We are exhausted from busting our ass to keep a roof over our head leaving us unable to afford other things even food. My Granparents, parents, settled the homestead in 1896 near Rossland BC. How it used to work, how things are supposed to work, is the Government serves the needs and demands of the people. The people don't serve the Government nor any Corporation or Public/Private Partnership. This means that the Government doesn't prevent people from doing what they do and they don't use force to extort the fruit of everyone's labor to the point of enslavement. In 1896 and throughout my Grandfather's life from 1902 to 1976, one would do for themselves if they weren't working for someone else. In other words, you found something needed be done, something the community around you required or was lacking, you opened shop and got after it. You can't work today because you require licensing for everything, you require permission for everything, everything is regulated. People have it in their minds that it's so much better today then it was then, that it's "safer". But it's not, that's a lie. My family, although never wealthy, ate good food, always had a roof over their heads, plenty of family around and always had something to do or at least could always find something to work at. Most importantly, they always had hope because they had freedom. No one has any hope anymore and the people coming here aren't just bringing their culture to overtake our culture, they are coming with anger. With envy, resentment and malice. My family didn't come here with those things, they came to Canada with hope and determination to integrate and prosper with freedom. The other side of my family fled Bolshevism when they left Russia and came here and that side had the exact same hope in freedom to work hard and prosper. Now all generational wealth, freedom, prosperity and hope is all but completely stolen. We don't need more regulations. We don't need more benefits. We don't need more Government. We need less, we need it all to go away because I know for a fact, you give people the freedom to go about their lives, the society or community they form, always tends towards peaceful, prosperous organization. You give people the freedom to build and produce and they'll get after it immediately and that opens the door for all other manner of trades and skills that just fill any hole in a community or society. And that's a fact about the organizational tendencies of human beings. There's nothing stopping us from providing for ourselves but a cartel Government in the business of extortion and human enslavement. They foment chaos and division in order to justify the revoking of more freedoms to enslave more people. People themselves, they look to get along, get to work, raise families and, as best they can, enjoy life. Once we start expecting a Government to take care of us we've institutionalized prisoners who have lost all human dignity. When you "buy in" to all the rhetoric of so called autonomy, ask yourself, how autonomous are you without a family? Just because you're alone in a box in a city, stacked one on top of the other, weighted down by a landslide of rules, collecting benefits from the Government, doesn't make you autonomous. People say, "no one can afford a family". Yet those coming in have large families and they seem to be making out just fine. It's the brainwashing of our culture that set us up. Over time we've convinced the proper way to do things is everyone to grow up and go their own way, leaving each other relying on benefits from the government in old age or illness or whatever calamity might strike in life. There's always something that comes along. With family you have human resource, a plethora of skills and you have your "insurance", free of extortion. Everything that comes from a government is conditional and sooner or later their conditions rule over our condition, even though it's our labor that provides for them. The answer isn't more benefits, as I've said. The answer is simply less government, so we can all get to the business of providing for ourselves and helping our communities prosper. We need to do this with family because alone, we are all isolated and powerless. No one stands alone and a house divided cannot stand.

Because they are not trying to fit in to our society and they are causing problems for the neighbors. They receive more than born Canadians and are given jobs here over Canadians. In my apartment building they don't like to be told to stop causing noise disturbances, in fact it even gets worse when they have been asked to stop. Some of the tenants " Newcomers " seem to think they can operate a business in the apartment which means they use excessive noise to build whatever they are building. Once they have been asked to stop by other tenants and given notices they then decide to retaliate by causing further noise which is deliberately to disturb the rest of us. They try to intimidate people that they know are born Canadians like some kind of gang members. We no longer feel safe in our own homes and neighborhoods. We are tired of them using the race card for every problem they have which is usually something they caused in the first place. In this particular building on Queen st. N. in Hamilton they cause trouble in multiple different apartments which they attend. Once they have been asked to stop causing noise in one apartment they just go to one of the others and then proceed to do the same thing there. Some of the newcomers have been given more than one apartment in the same building and therefore run back and forth between those apartments and slam the door of each one over and over all day long. The management has been informed hundreds of times for a number of years and yet they have not yet dealt with the issues. There is an ongoing record of so many incidents in this building which the management has not addressed beyond a blanket notice to all tenants regarding noise complaints. The manager says things like " It's a process " and yet there seems to be no results. Is management afraid to just simply evict the trouble makers ??

My friend had a crazy incident a year ago. When due to very strict rules, he lost his pgwp and became visitor status. He had to use hospital services and he called them and asked them why the bill was so high. He was given remarks on the phone by a lady that “Oh we citizens pay taxes and thats how healthcare is usually free”. I mean he was here from last 6 years and was called that like he did not pay taxes. Idk why being rude to person without knowing what thier status was before. I think people are really fed up with anyone who says they are either visior, on pgwp or TFW in general.
