As a brown guy who is born and raised here, not every brown person is Indian. There are Guyanese, Trinidadians, Sri Lankans, Bengali, Nepali etc people that are in no way related, linguistically, culturally or religiously to people from Punjab that have been here decades and respect the land, the culture and learn English. The majority of the mass migration as of late has come from one state in India. Many are good people, but many try to make Canada the home they left. Too bad the rest of us south asians and west indians are painted with this broad brush.

Canada is still normal, look at Malaysia, it's full of Indians and Bangladeshis, they even marry locals and give birth to Southeast Asians with South Asian faces.

Indians and South asians are majority of Brampton total population.

I love Punjabi people, they are high class and they surprise me when they tell me they were farmers before coming to canada because I don't get that rugged vibe from them. That guy at 2:50 was purhaps the most honest 'white' guy you will meet. The fact is Indians didn't take over, the upper class just decided to move north to Bolton or more west to the Halton area. Over time enough Indians replaced them to basically take over important roles like police officers and political positions. Eventually just like East Asians have Markham and parts of Scarborough, the south Asians had a high enough population for Brampton to be considered their home turf. Eventually though it was the student visas that drove Canadians crazy. Millions of students in record time and I believe there was an additional 4 million who came on temporary work visas during covid, eventually Canadians got annoyed. Personally I don't see any problem with it as long as we keep building apartments and homes for the new immigrants to rent and live it doesn't bother me. I would like to see three times more immigration especially from Europe as this country is super underpopulated and we need people to open factories and build companies that will strengthen Canada as a whole and employ our own not just send money back to their countries. So its not an invasion we just need come to a place of understanding and learn to work together. I will finish with the one negative; there truly is a massive lack of assimilation and this may prove to be more of a problem than we realize but I won't go into it. 3 million Indians since 2014 - 2021. The figure is likely accurate, if not low, because it focuses on new arrivals (both permanent and temporary) rather than just PRs. The real number is quite literally not able to be found, as the government is very corrupt and hides the data officially. The upcoming census 2026 is going to be DISGUSTING. 2021 and beyond the rate of forced migration was south asians taking up 60 percent of the immigrants, how is that reasonable, nor racist, and how can we even vet these people properly to have quality assimilants?

Only my heritage is Indian (4th generation in Australia - my great grandparents came here) so obviously I present as one. Of course every South Asian person I meet despises FOBs because they're literally the problem for all of this. Lack of assimilation, lack of civic sense, lack of fucking common sense. Of course this makes my blood boil. But what I'm genuinely tired of? The endless discrimination. I've lost count how many people profile me or treat me like garbage until we have a 20 second conversation, they hear my accent and I watch in real-time as their body language and frown disappears. It's like watching racism disappear like a light switch. So let me ask all of you a question - how should people like myself, born and raised here handle this? It doesn't end. Everyday, there's a new comment from a new person, another racial slur, another person throwing a bottle at me from their car as I'm walking, another passerby getting aggro at me for no reason, another form of insanity. How should regular people like myself handle this or deal with this? No trolling.

As someone who's born and raised in Brampton I don't really see any issues when it comes to the large Indian demographic in the city. Majority of the people in this city are just middle class families trying to get by and provide their kids and families a bright future. Without the indian immigrants coming to this city what would it even be? You have families living in million dollar+ houses, working, owning business, giving good futures and opportunities for their children but y'all mad cause they are Indians who are doing this. If they were white people instead would be calling Brampton a success story then? If 75 percent of the population is south asian, OF COURSE you will see south asian workers, south asian restaurants, grocery stores (JUST LIKE ANY OTHER COMMUNITY). You only see this issue online because the people who actually live in these areas have absolutely no issue with the city. They're mad they can't progress in their own lives and use cities like Brampton as a scapegoat for their own problems. It just doesn't make sense to me how so many people have an issue with Brampton when they don't even know what it is like.

It is also very hard when every single store; walmart; Fast food is all India. Other races will not be hired, so all we see are India taking over every taxi and every single job. it's easier for European immigrants to assimilate because their culture is similiar! if you want to see white folks not assimilating just go to Asia and you'll see white folks who have lived there for 10-15 years and not even speak the local language! The problem is fear that Indians will travel to the West and not go back. Not just Indians, but Africans, South Americans and many Asian countries do the same. I've lived in the US for 55 years. There was an Indian music troop that came to the US to perform, maybe 20 people, including singers, musicians, comedians etc. After their tour in the US, half of them did not return to India. They figured they can make a better living in the US and live here as an illegal immigrant. This is too common. The next time when a troop of musicians want a US visa, chances are the immigration office will think twice about approving a visa. I can travel anywhere with a US passport because people know that Americans will return back to the US.

I have been in a lot of places working around the world, worked with south asian people. IMO, majority of them ( Indians, Pakistanis, Bangladeshi, Shri lankans, Nepalese) specially Indians, lacks good manners and right conduct, they don't care about safety at work, don't care about proper health hygiene, unsanitary food preparation, cooking and serving (as we saw on a lot of videos here at YT and other social media platform). It looks like they really don't have any health concerns in regards to food bacterial contamination and safety. If these behaviours maintained and acted on places they go and lived, who you thought would be happy and delighted? Just a common sense...if these people does not and could not do the GMRC (Good manners and right conduct), that a lot of civilized world does, they don't belong and had to leaved.

I'm an immigrant who came here with my family on a sponsorship program in 2008. Never got in trouble, worked two jobs and busted our asses off to get the citizenship in 2014. What has happened to Canada under Trudeau's incompetent government with his mass immigration policies and taking in low-class South Asians who do nothing but scam their way to the top is nothing but a tragedy. Canadian-born citizens are waking up and hate is brewing against Indians and Muslims.

Brampton is pure chaos not to be racist. People think it's multicultural but 80% of the residents are South Asian. Not very multicultural if you ask me. Brampton is not faring so well compared to other cities in the GTA such as Mississauga and Toronto. This sudden spike in Indian immigrants isn't just in Brampton but basically everywhere in Southern Ontario. Brampton just so happens to be where most South Asian individuals reside. These recent 20 years is where Canada saw much more immigrants originating from South Asia and the Caribbean. This same issue took place more than a century ago when Chinese immigrants migrated to Canada. Eventually, people will get used to the Indian population and it shouldn't be looked down upon. So sorry for this essay of mine, couldn't shorten my thoughts :)

There are TOO many Indians in Canada. TImes XP is biased let's be honest if a million Nigerians moved to India, OMG Indians would IMMEDIATELY deport them. 90% of immigrants are fine people. Sadly, people who were born here (of all races) don't have doctors, can't afford rent, can't afford food, can't find jobs. The government needs to cut immigration for the time being, invest in infrastructure, and then re-open the doors when we can sustain ourselves as well as our newcomers. Again, sadly, South Asian immigrants are the most visible due to the number immigrating to Canada and because they are snatching up all the failing local businesses and opening Indian restaurants (this isn't judgement, newcomers should absolutely have the right to start a business and support themselves, but the optics of long term business closing down to sell butter chicken sets some people off when our country is failing our existing small business owners). It isn't the fault of immigrants, it's the fault of the people mismanaging our country. Then there is the 10% scamming, forming gangs, skirting laws, etc. Screw them.

Why is they such a huge favour for Indian immigrants (south Asian)? How did the system come to be completely one sided?

As someone who lived and came to Canada over a decade ago through LEGIT means and assimilated with the country and culture there, the problem isn’t the fact they are Indian- the problem comes from the blatant disregard for everything and everyone that isn’t one of them. One Indian gets into a hiring or managerial position and that store will never hire anyone that isn’t one of them again. My mother has been with Walmart for 8 years and has seniority yet she’s been bullied by them so badly it’s infuriating. They rejected her transfer applications and yet made a kid who couldn’t even speak English the manager for her shifts. Secondly, the food and hosting quality has gone to shit in restaurants or any food service place. Tim’s, dominos, you name it-it’s filled with Indians that will either be sloppy and not clean with the food prep or just give you the wrong shit consistently. Third,the disregard for rules and everything else. The crimes being committed by mainly Indians have skyrocketed, a while back there was an Indian gang in BC trying to extort other brown businesses and it was confirmed by the authorities. That as well as the fact Brampton stopped showing south Asian films due to drivebys caused by Indian folk and then the fireworks drama during Diwali was outrageous and dangerous to anyone that was passing by.

I have been a victim of racism from people coming from rural Indian areas, some Canadians I met were 10 times better than the Indians I met here and every time I got ripped off was from a person from south asian country, not all but some are so so bad! Specially Punjabi females they are very aggressive judgmental and rude.
