As a Canadian who lives in an area with high immigration levels, this is not the sentiment of the majority. I work alongside many people who were trained abroad from a variety of cultures and my experience has been great. Immigration has brought a lot of positives to Canada. And at some point, majority of us or our families immigrated here. There’s a lot more to the story than these random conversational clips. I am not condoning smuggling, that should never happen. In my opinion Indians being rejected because many are involved in illegal activities. Better they stay home with respect and enjoy, India itself is a big country and extremely rich in culture, so better to explore their home first?
