There have always been a few questionable people that are immigrants and refugees but it was in the early 2000s when you first started to see the foreign students and immigrants/refugees start to me more the "gimmegrant" type. They wanted sponsorship, benefits, housing, etc but didn't want to put in the work or participate and some were very dim also. I feel this video does cover what's happening but don't answer the question why its happening. Here's what i think- To start with - A major population of indian immigrants in Canada come from two provinces/states - Punjab and Gujarat. From Punjab - Most of the population who migrates to Canada are villagers. They are notoriously famous in Punjab cities as well for creating trouble. They have no civic sense, always getting involved in illegal stuff, some use drugs, no etiquettes, poor hygiene and very arrogant sometimes. Another thing, Canadian government over the years stopped taking in-person interviews and got lenient with rules for gaining a visa especially for students which doesn't make sense and one should be catious so of what kind of people they are letting in their country. This leads to letting in a bunch of wrong people who are already a troublemaker in Punjab and then represents a bad of side of Indians. A side note - Every Indian province is very very different and not all people are same in India. It's definitely a shit situation which shows Canadian government definitely needed a better way to handle immigration. A lot of international students has been exploited by the system as well if you get to know from there point of view as well. Seeing the thumbnail and title of this video shows what kind of a person Tyler is. Without a proper research and understanding, he just made a video to appease people who hates on Indians. Title says Invasion, is he for real? I see way more Chinese immigrants here in Canada than any other nationality. The elephant in the room is the fact that the majority of immigrants come from one country. As someone who proudly escaped Canada I understand the difficulties of adapting and integrating into another culture. It is difficult and it would be far easier if there were just so many Canadians here that none of us have to adapt or learn a new language but could simply live in an insular community of Canadians and transplant our own culture here. When I go back to Canada I see that that is exactly what has happened there.

I grew up in Brampton from 1985 to 2010. I watched it change. Not for the better. I got the hell out there and every time I go back to visit my fam, it's even worse. Almost never seeing any other race but Indian lol. It all has to do with Trudeau's dad designating that city as a go-to place for Indian migrants. Many of them will tell you that India itself is a shit hole, but the more of them that come to Brampton, or wherever, they turn it into India. I don't consider it racism. It's their people but it's not like it's all of them, but it is a lot. From personal observance, they're the most unhygienic people I've ever met, and they love easy jobs the involve scamming others out of money. All of those scam callers are Indian. Nothing else. They have no dignity. No self respect. They just want money and don't care how to get it. I generally don't like them, but it's because of their negative behaviors. There are plenty of other races that come to Canada that people love. Have you ever heard of anyone complain about Filipinos? No. They're loved. They come here and know how to assimilate while keeping their own heritage intact in respect to our own. They're friendly, respectful, hygienic. Indian people just want to come here and make this place Indian and they have tons of kids, so that's exactly what's happening. Brampton was cooked years ago. It's just going to devour itself and fully become an extension of India, and it already has been spreading out from Brampton to the surrounding cities.

As a Canada who speaks both French and English and who follows politics quite closely, I have to say that the headline and some of the reporting here is quite misleading. A reduction in immigration has broad support across Canada. I wouldn't say that notion is dividing the country in any significant way. You do have certain industry groups that disagree, but among the population these reductions have broad support. This is a historic change in public opinion in Canada, but it has been driven by the unprecedented increase in immigration under the last term of the Trudeau government. To put this in context, non-permanent residents in Canada numbered around 1.5 million on Q3 2023, but by Q3 2025, that number sat a just over 3 million. The previous government increased immigration targets by 3 or 4 times over what they had been for years, which caused a number of economic issues. Essentially, the volume was simply too high for the economy and society to support. This was unfair to both Canadians and new comers, many of which could not find employment or afford a decent place to live. The changes being suggested are largely bringing Canada back to what the targets were for over a decade before, though a bit lower to account for the sudden surge. Canada remains one of the most pro-immigration countries in the world. However, and this is where I think DW's reporting is misleading, there is a distinction to be made between policies at the federal level and policies at the provincial level. Immigration, per our constitution, is a federal matter, however, Quebec in particular is distinct from other provinces. I don't mean only culturally and linguistically, but also in the powers that have been devolved to it by the federal government. On the question of immigration, Quebec has more powers and more ability to set its immigration targets and programs than any of the other 9 provinces. The particular program discussed here, the Quebec Experience Program (PEQ), is a particular immigration stream that only existed in Quebec. So what is happening with that program cannot be labeled as a whole-of-Canada thing. Where the changes to the PEQ are controversial, unlike the general changes at the federal level, is that people who immigrated under that specific program were promised certain things. There was a multi-year time line to Permanent Residency and then Citizenship. Many of those people have been in Quebec for 5-8 years already. However, the changes made to the program were done in such a way where people who many years into the program, had gotten an education, started a career, had children, ect. are now being told they can't continue and must leave Canada. There are even stories of people who married Canadians, now have children, and the one parent who was under this program now faces the possibility of having to leave Canada and be separated from their family. All through no fault of their own. That is what many people see as unfair, and I agree, however limiting future applications under the program, to bring in less people, that is not controversial. Canada has no responsibility to bring in people who are not already in Canada, but Canada does have some responsibility towards people who uprooted their lives to move to Canada and built new lives here based on promises and representations made to them by the Canadian and Quebecois governments. We should no simply kick those people out of the country.

I was going through college in southern Ontario about half a decade ago. The faculty was alright but the one that always stuck with me was an elderly Indian man who had a PHd (what he was doing teaching at a community college, I'm not sure). He immigrated from India sometime in the 70's, I think, and sometimes told us stories about how he'd never seen electricity until he was well into adulthood. This was at the early stages of Indian mass immigration to the province, but the international students were already becoming a known problem in the school. They never spoke to anyone else, hung out in big groups together on campus, I swear most of them couldn't even speak English. They constantly cheated on everything and shared answers, I heard like 7 of them got failed for submitting identical lab reports one time. Most people knew they were a problem, but no one was comfortable saying anything. Except the Indian professor. He would publicly call them out for shit in class, berate them, shit talk them openly to other students. I've literally never seen anyone more angry about those Indian students than that Indian professor. It's not hard to see why, he busted his ass to immigrate to Canada, get work and get into a good university. He completed a doctorate, for Christ's sake. He didn't see a street light until he was 25, and worked his way to the bleeding edge of digital science. Now there's a bunch of lazy assholes invited in by the government brazenly trying to cheat their way to a degree in his goddamn class. I'd crash out too.

I went to college with a roommate from Delhi. I visited in his home country and family and actually really enjoyed it. Yes, there is less cleanliness culture. Yes, there is less personal space. He actually ended up moving to Toronto last year. However with all the negatives you see on YouTube, it's always good to note that Indians are always friendly and helpful people. As someone from Ottawa Canada who goes to Toronto often, yes there are a lot of Indians in our country and my gripe comes down to how they overrun traditional fast food places we grew up on, but since they have no attachment to it they half ass and don’t make things up to par and make it seem like they’re doing you a favor when you’re paying. So many places are ruined because of this, not just Tim Hortons. However, Tyler postured this as if this is a recent epidemic when Brampton has BEEN known for a lot of Indian immigrants starting in the late 80s and 90s- maybe he mentions this and I missed it or I haven’t got to it yet as I’m midway through the video… Toronto and its areas are very diverse and have been for a long time. Nearby from Brampton in Markham that’s where a lot of Chinese are and you can see it by the business types and you see Chinese lettering under English writing in some places. So why is Tyler acting like this is a rapid epidemic that just started? To ramp you guys up. Again, not denying the fact we have a ton of Indians and have taken in more than ever in the recent years, but these weren’t calm white places that have been overrun like in some of your other videos in Europe, etc.

Even Indian Canadians that were born here don't want these immigrants. When people from their own ethnicity don't want them here, that says a lot. As a legal immigrant who migrated here with a nuclear family only on merit, I believe I earn the privilege to voice my thoughts here. First of all, rather than blaming the hoards of Indian immigrants, why don't anyone ask questions to the people who allowed it? Why not ask the politicians who vetoed it? Why not ask the police who is not able to stop reckless drivers? Why not ask the minister's who allow hospitals to run under staffed? USA has a massive Indian diaspora. But they are mostly IT workers and CEOs and Doctors. So who was at mistake of bringing illiterate, uncouth Indians to Canada? After earning all the required merit, and paying as much taxes from my family that is equivalent to minimum wages of at least 4 people, it hurts me to see undeserving people taking benefits of the system, while we get the short end. No one seemed too concerned when Indian students brought in so much money and revived some dead economies. No one blamed thousands of Punjabi businesses bringing in dollars into the economy. India, with its 150 billion people has s#!to eaters and people who can buy out Canada. You only see the bad. Press the government to bring in good people. Doctors, engineers, lawyers, scientists, business people, who will add value to the country and generate you jobs and salaries and grow this country. Not cooks and drivers only. I love Punjabi people, they are high class and they surprise me when they tell me they were farmers before coming to canada because I don't get that rugged vibe from them. So its not an invasion we just need come to a place of understanding and learn to work together. This is bull shit. Indians are some of the nicest groups of immigrants! In the history of time, there were different periods where mass immigration happened, and non-Indian immigration. If we were to compare the groups of immigrants in history, Indians are the most peaceful. Christianity and Islam was forced upon the natives of most countries, depending on which part of the world you focus. These religions and cultures didn't just spread in peace. Even today, new sites are discovered of native children's remains. The minute these morons see a brown person, they go on hate mode, forgetting their own history. Brown people are just requesting for some peace, some respect and equality. You guys judge people based on skin color and not their character. Crazy seeing this guy go to Brampton lol. I haven't been back in a long time and I miss it. It's a great place regardless of who lives there.
