We need a city in the far north designed for immigrants. Somewhere we can keep an eye on them. I am not talking about a gulag, they will be free to work, earn income, and lead productive lives. Let the first generation acclimate to our laws, languages and customs, while their papers and statuses are processed. Of course they’ll need a place to put the trouble makers. A federal super-max prison where they can be held for their trials, with the understanding that if convicted they will be deemed inadmissible and deported back to their home country, then put on a no-fly list.

I live approximately 45 minutes from the Canadian border where the agent was murdered by the cultist. From there, there are so many people constantly trying to get across the border. This infuriates me knowing this happens. We had maybe 5 recent acquisitions of Indian people setting up and ruining successful gas stations and pop up smoke shops in my town allowing minors to freely browse and buy products. They keep to themselves because the people around here understand their predatory ways of selling and how gross they naturally are. I'm disappointed and I don't like them. I accept humans but I don't accept someone who can't wash their hands nor maintain a clean image morally and professionally. I know for certainty that they are illegally here buying properties which are very hard for us locals to even get our hands on. Something needs to be done and people need to be aware.

Integration is key for Canada as a multicultural country to coexist. Immigration needs reforming i.e.no cash jobs whatsoever, intl students will have to intl student fees, no handouts to asylum seekers who aren't from a war torn country. Let's imagine that the tariffs will actually be effective and three thousand companies from all over the world will come back. 3,000 companies will start producing, they need people. Where they pay American wages. These companies left because they could produce the product cheaper abroad and Americans could buy it cheaper. If all the companies come back, prices will increase by 30%. And 70 percent of the population will buy 30% more expensively. Inflation will run wild. Poverty will increase. What's the point of this?? These tariffs will not be permanent but will remain for a certain period to encourage companies to relocate. I think we need to give it time. In a year or two picture should be clear. I don't think tariffs are necessary a bad thing long term if they spike more production of everything or at list anything in US. Short term it would be painful for everybody tho. I always understood the tariffs on Mexico in order to force the Mexican gvt to fight the Cartel. Just so it's known but America has never been self-sufficient. We have always been reliant on others with good trade and fairness towards each other. My grandparents went through ww2 and had to go through rations on everything from gas, oil to food and tires. You got a book for everything and had to tear them out to get your products. But the imbalance has to stop.\n\nSame with Mexico, trading balance with Mexico is almost $200 billion in favor of Mexico. The imbalance has to stop. \n\nThe US economy is bleeding by trading with allies and partners, it’s fighting for its financial wellbeing. It is not some bs from the orange man, it is real.\n\nOf course Canada, Mexico, Europe and others want business as usual… and why wouldn’t they? ?

Canadian people, please, please stop buying American products, cancel subscription for Netflix and other platforms, encourage Canadians businesses. This is not to hurt America people, it’s to send a message to the Trump administration that we are not going kneel to a bully. Canada should put another 10% on energy exports to US.... Actually, put export taxes on every product that US needs and cannot immediately find somewhere else.

Canada has known for decades that we have put too many eggs in one basket - selling our resources primarily to the USA. We've had tariffs before and worked with them. Yet we still keep selling to the USA. This time is different. In conjunction with the tariffs, we have an American administration that is flat out insulting Canada. Saying we wouldn't exist economically if it wasn't for the USA. It's at a time when the USA won't promise not to use military force to annex land (Greenland) from a decades old ally. A time when clearly Putin is calling in his chips for whatever he has over Donald Trump. Canadians have had enough. We are directing our governments, provincial and federal, to finally, finally break from the north-south trade links. We need to establish stronger east-west trade links. The resources we have are wanted by many countries if the USA does not want them. It does mean much work within Canada. We need to get our AB-BC pipeline finished as well as the new sea terminal so we can ship our crude oil and natural gas to Japan and if need be, to China. We finally need to get out pipeline to the Atlantic coast finished so we can supply the UK and EU with our products. We need to double our rail capacity for shipping potash, uranium, rare minerals to Asia or Europe. Just as Trump hopes for a golden age of American companies coming home and building new plants in the USA, this will be a golden decade for Canada to create transportation corridors to get our resources to other buyers. America will have to look elsewhere for his raw materials. And we all know what that is - RUSSIA. They've already offered their rare minerals and crude oil. This is all clearly a well thought out scenario from the people working behind Trump to dismiss America's allies and trading partners - have us turn against the USA - as the excuse to open the door to Russian imports into the USA.

America has too much pride and ego in being a super power we should all boycott american products, to show them that they also need to cooperate with the world and bring them down to earth

tRump and Elon are holding the country hostage and taking all it's wealth and the MAGAT's are cheering, soon they will pay more for groceries, gas, homes and just about everything. the stock market are plummeting and they are cheering and loosing their jobs because of DOGe, Canada need to fight back (and we will) even harder and make the red states pay against their products and services and farmers, it's not against the american people but the illegal tariffs, stay strong ??

A message to Trudeau. Put an export tax on the Oil and Electricity sold to the United States. Open up new European Markets for Oil and Natural Gas product and sell directly to Europe and Japanese markets. China needs oil, there is plenty of market around the world for our products. The Tariff's imposed by Trump is only going to make product to the US more expensive for their own citizens, and with Tariff's on all American imports, if they can't make it, or they don't have the raw materials to make it themselves, they will have to pay more. It is not necessary to impose Tariff's on USA Products to penalize Canadians, but Canadians will find new markets to replace the US, and we won't even notice it happened. We have alternatives. The southern islands are great vacation locations, and with the weather disasters they have suffered over the past few years, they could use the tourist support to help rebuild, and, their people are friendly and don't carry guns.

I think the tarrifs are good. it bring local products back to our own county. also supporting local farmers and local manufacturing creating job in our home country we need to throw out trudaue and get rid of waste war in supporting in Ukraine. Im pretty happy to see more local food in my groceries stores.

American jobs and product manufacturing need to be brought back to USA!! American companies did the damage! Tax them heavily so these companies bring back jobs from overseas!!
