Another fact if a skilled immigrant like a Doctor come to Canada under a skilled immigrant program , apply wait in home country and gets his PR before coming.. the doc need to show funds to support him/her and the family. He/she gets shit from the Govt , the Doc has to spend his/her own money to get credentials recognized, go back to uni at own cost . While asylum seekers gets everything free doing shit all day.

The country needs the right type of temporary workers that can support the building of housing and not cheap agriculture labor. Also from a student point of view; if they are studying in areas which aren't aligned to the needs of the country then need to go back home. It would be a disservice to Canadian's and the students to keep them here.

I feel this video does cover what's happening but don't answer the question why its happening. Here's what i think- To start with - A major population of indian immigrants in Canada come from two provinces/states - Punjab and Gujarat. From Punjab - Most of the population who migrates to Canada are villagers. They are notoriously famous in Punjab cities as well for creating trouble. They have no civic sense, always getting involved in illegal stuff, some use drugs, no etiquettes, poor hygiene and very arrogant sometimes. Another thing, Canadian government over the years stopped taking in-person interviews and got lenient with rules for gaining a visa especially for students which doesn't make sense and one should be catious so of what kind of people they are letting in their country. This leads to letting in a bunch of wrong people who are already a troublemaker in Punjab and then represents a bad of side of Indians. A side note - Every Indian province is very very different and not all people are same in India. It's definitely a shit situation which shows Canadian government definitely needed a better way to handle immigration. A lot of international students has been exploited by the system as well if you get to know from there point of view as well. Title says Invasion, is he for real? I see way more Chinese immigrants here in Canada than any other nationality. I support the Alberta government focusing on unattended provincial responsibilities. This is just pandering and scapegoating their failures by getting you to focus on federal elephants. Do what you can and should be doing instead of this dog and pony show. Alberta needs attention now!

Please help me understand why mass migration is considered beneficial. I believe globalization has very significant drawbacks. My primary concern is for my fellow Canadians "ONLY." It seems that the increase in new residents is driven largely by political motives, as new migrants often support the Liberal Party due to the benefits they receive upon arrival. Both the Liberal government in Canada and the Democrats in the United States appear to be aware of this trend. Regardless of political affiliation—whether Liberal, Conservative, Green, or any other party—if my party were to adopt such a policy, I would oppose it. Canadians really need to wake up. We need responsible citizenship that upholds and strengthens our Canadian culture and values.

Fast forward to today, the movement is now a tsunami with people from Punjab moving in large numbers. Why ? Because of the Khalistan movement, Punjab got destroyed economically (it was the richest state in India) as a result people are forced to move out. And the best place is their second Punjabi 🫣🫣 ie. Khalistani homeland Canada.

Rape by Indians in occupied South Tibet is a major source of anger among the locals toward the thuggish Indian occupiers. Another thing is that India doesn't trust the locals and likes to accuse them of being Chinese spies if they don't display enough loyalty to the Indian occupier. This area is tightly controlled by India, with limited access to the outside world. In 2014, a Tibetan Chinese called Nido Tania went to Delhi and was beaten to death because he looked 'Chinese'. His case was hardly an isolated one. Northeasterners in India have for years endured racial hatred by the Indian people. They have held demonstrations in New Delhi, but not much has changed. On December 9, 2025, a Chinese-looking youth from the north-east Indian state was murdered by racist Indian thugs. The thugs mocked him with racist taunts like "CHINKI, MOMO, CHINESE," etc., and then the youth was mercilessly beaten to death. This is not the first nor will it be the last case of racism against the north eastern people living under New Delhi's oppression. No killer or rapist of the northeastern people has ever been brought to justice. The Indian political leadership does nothing more than produce hollow words of sympathy: "I AM VARY VARY SAARY!" There was not even a single word of support or remorse from the high priest of the Bar-Rat hindu empire: Modi. The greatest irony and shameless hypocrisy of India and Indians is that the murdered youth's father is serving in the Indian Border Security Force and deployed along the border with China. He is fighting against China for a country that is ready to kill him and his family for looking Chinese. Some years back, yet another rape case by Indian soldiers occurred in Bomdila, South Tibet. The local police detained the two suspects, and the Indian military, fearing that the two suspects would be lynched, stormed the police station, vandalized it, and rescued the two suspects. This leads to massive protests by the local people. Eventually, the unrest caught the attention of New Delhi, and India flew in the defense minister to Bomdila to make a show of force to suppress the protests. Today, South Tibet is restless, and India knows it. This is the reason a law called the AFSPA (Armed Forces Special Power Act) is imposed on South Tibet. AFSPA gives the state the power to detain or kill anyone with impunity. No due process is needed. AFSPA is imposed on areas India deems restless, such as South Tibet and Kashmir. It is a law meant to suppress dissent and instill fear among the populace. The Tibetans in occupied South Tibet are voiceless people because they are not the right kind of Tibetans, so their plight is ignored by the Western world. I have yet to hear from the Western media any concern for the human rights abuses of the Tibetans in occupied South Tibet by India. P.S. I am using the word Tibetan as an umbrella term to include the various Sino-Tibetan Burmese people (Monpa, Abotani (called Lhotba on the Chinese side),..etc. The Sixth Dalai Lama was a Monpa) in South Tibet. The Sixth Dalai Lama is known for his many love poems and romantic escapades outside the Potola Palace. Sadly, his hometown, Tawang, is now under India's occupation since 1951. The Tawang Monastery is the last major frontier monastery before the area merged into the tribal region. It historically enjoyed a close relation with the Beijing central government. Free South Tibet (so-called Arunachal Pradesh) from India.

I know it's not on most people's radar, but what is a huge problem that no one talks enough about is how when so many temporary foreign workers come here, they make money in Canadian dollars and then send that money out of our economy to their home Country. So our Canadian dollars are sold, and isn't spent in our Economy. When you go somewhere and you don't see any born in Canada employees you really need to make a choice to not support that business. Canadian wages should go to Canadians and spent in our economy. I hope we wise up and we start to really limit how many people we bring into the Country. We're literally bringing in 400K+ people that's about the size of Halifax, EVERY year. We just cannot support this rapid growth. Especially when the people coming in have no intention of integrating and do not share our values.

I’m a proud Indian who is now a Canadian citizen, and I’ve made a conscious effort to assimilate into Canadian culture and values. What bothers me is how this conversation has been reduced to blaming one group. The reality is that the Canadian government failed first by not properly managing immigration volumes, not enforcing document verification, and not honestly assessing whether the country could support such rapid population growth. That policy failure created pressure on housing, jobs, and social systems long before resentment followed. We also need honesty within the Indian community. Some Indians struggle to adapt being overly loud, culturally rigid, and sometimes lacking empathy for Canadian norms and shared public spaces. I studied Canadian and Indigenous history in school, and respecting that history matters. Assimilation doesn’t mean abandoning your culture, but it does mean understanding and respecting the society you chose to join. Cultural education should be expected, not optional. That said, one Indian doing something wrong does not make all Indians bad. Most Indian students and workers I know are hardworking, punctual, and serious about contributing. I’ve personally worked minimum-wage jobs for years, and what I noticed was not jobs being “taken,” but fewer Canadian youth willing to stay in or commit to these roles long-term. Indians didn’t replace Canadians, they filled vacancies that already existed. I also briefly volunteered helping the homeless, and what I saw was honestly shocking. It’s not that the government isn’t trying to help there are rehabilitation programs and support systems in place. The difficult truth is that a significant portion of the homeless population struggles with substance abuse and refuses treatment because it requires giving up drugs. Over time, homelessness itself starts to function like a culture, where benefits and assistance unintentionally enable continued substance use rather than recovery. This is an uncomfortable reality people don’t like to talk about. None of this is simple. Immigration didn’t break Canada, and neither did one community. Poor policy, weak enforcement, lack of accountability, and refusal from governments and individuals to adapt responsibly is what brought us here. Blame is easy. Honest solutions are not.

I have friends and colleagues I care deeply about that will be negatively affected by this... and I still support it! Canada needs to prioritize its citizens and it continues to fail to do this in so many sectors. It succeeds in others but food and job insecurity, and then housing, are massive issues in this country that could easily be avoided if the government stepped in. It doesn't matter what your political views are - take care of the citizens, even if it hurts people you care about that aren't citizens.

How about immigrants pay a nominal fee to gain entry to Canada covering legal processing that proves they are not criminals and that they can support themselves while here. Failure to these comply with these terms or any bad behaviour should result in automatic deportation. Otherwise, who is to pay for all their needs. Canadian households can no longer bear the weight of this illogical 'aid' to foreigners.

"We need talent"? We have talent! Canada is full of talent going to waste. There are always two sides of the story. When British and French went from starting trade with indigeneous to brigning their families and settling towns on their land, they must have had the same feeling. Europeans just didn't stop their they openly slaughtered and put small children in residential schools where many lost lives and are still living with generational trauma. I do acknowledge that there is massive influx of immigrants in a short span which govt. did to compensate for labor needs but they did not invest in infrastructure and orientation of immigrations. I have worked with Canadians in their 60s vs 20s, there was a huge difference in work ethic. My white manager relied on me and my another friend for closing or opening shift than some local preveliged kids. I am in support of deporting illegals but let's educate who are here legally. Collaborate with communities to voice out your concerns and look at the positive impact immigrants have made in past decades.

My issue with immigration to Ontario and urban sprawl, is that this area is some of the most fertile farmland in Canada. The only part of Canada you can grow fruits profitably besides apples. If we are going to need immigration to support the elderly in retirement in Canada then we should at least build up and not give everyone a house. In highly populated areas like this more emphasis needs to be placed on high rise apartments to free up farmland. Immigrants pay a butload of taxes. It is a double edged sword.

I was not raised to be racist but at 67 and my family has been in Canada since 1536 , I can now say that I am racist. The governance of Canada produced that church full of homeless people, so the government has imported a cohesive family friendly culturally united community. It would have been nice if Canada could have simply nurtured its own people to support a Canadian culture. . . but that's not profitable. As someone who is born in Canada as an Indian. This is absolutely sad to here. I want the best for Canadians who are born and raised here. I have 10 years of experience working in the nation I was raised and I am having some people have my job who aren't even fit for the job. It makes no sense to me. Our wages have stalled due to international students for a better life, but at the end I want money just like other Canadians who have been here for ages. Also we need to end why our government allows lucrative hiring contracts overseas for cheaper positions in certain degrees and diplomas. In addition, why are all of our call centers placed all over the world. From Africa, south east Asia, South Asia. Those jobs can be available here. We can have a decomcratic country if our country didn't care about just "growth" we didn't need more immigration. We needed systematic change in government, schools, common sense, I could go on. I think us as Canadians don't know how corrupt the world really is. Look at other countries and how they work. It's lucrative essentives to benefit only certain people. I would rather have our tax payer money be used to fix the system. My dad's been here since the 1980s and he is sad for everyone. This is a loss on both ends. We didn't create new universities, new highways to support the population, no hospitals, new schools. I remember when my class sizes were 18 to 20 kids. We need change, not radical because we were never that. Let's do what we do best and be Canadians for us first.

IMO the big thing is that more housing and infrastructure need to be built to keep pace with people in an area - as housing standards are being violated - like 8 people living in an apartment is just extreme even for student housing. The crime rate dropped off massively we need to be careful about it increasing however more people equals more crime but equal or lower per capita crime rate. Poverty is always going to be poverty. The poverty issue is made worse because chornically unemployed pepole have seen their supports not keep up with inflation to the point its basically impossible to get housing on social safety net payments. This means that unemployed people basically end up homeless now. 7 m² per person for rooms with four or more occupants aged 18 or older. People should not just be packed into buildings that violate legal space and housing standards. The whole community IS government not a religious organization. This really frustrates me because the government should be insuring those standards are met not privatization of humanitarianism. Government should be humanitarian.
