Dont know about canada but we Indians live rent-free in canadians heads. I've never been to canada, nor even thought about that country much in my life up until i started meeting many canadians on the internet who lose it on me for no reason at all. The most hateful people i have met online have been canadians. I have talked to american gr0ypers online on platforms like discord and omegle etc... and they've been more respectful, polite and friendly than so called "liberal" canadians. Some of them i even befriended. This is sad. What a sorry state it would be to live in one of these canadians mind. Filled with hate against one particular peoples. All of this hate that i have received will only make me definitely avoid to visit canada at all costs!

This is why I desperately wish there was an actual Libertarian party to vote for in elections! There is a party, but they have not gotten enough signatures to be able to run yet, I don't even know if there is an office or representative in Ontario right now! I wish! Their policies (on paper) seem great, and geared more towards a 'Canada first'/'Canadians First' approach. They touch on a lot of topics and there seem to be a lot of things they want to change! But a government is still a government, they will be motivated by money regardless of any good intentions they may have. So if and when things change, WE NEED TO HOLD THEM ACCOUNTABLE! We as the citizens have the power to change things for the better! It's just unfortunate that I see so many people getting pushed down or ignored or hated because they are speaking their mind. Remember, Canada dosen't have laws like the US, our freedoms aren't as protected nor do we have the same freedoms they do (like owning and protecting your own property, or self defense!) We as people need to start being honest and expressing things instead of being terrified of the backlash (of which there will be in these times). The only way we can make progress is by deciding to get out of our comfort zones and standing for what is right! For the freedoms and protections we deserve! To make a future worth living for us and our children! It will not be easy, but when is change ever easy? I hope that one day I won't be terrified of the thought of bringing a life into this world and country. I hope I can be stable enough to be able to give my future children a decent life. But right now? I would never want to have children, things are too unstable and I don't want to bring a child into this country and force them to live a terrible life they never asked for! I desperately want to be able to keep hoping for a better future, a better country, and people who can enjoy their lives instead of constantly worrying and stressing about everything. I hope some can consider looking into the Libertarian party as well! They may be small right now, but they seem to be wanting to right the wrongs that have occured.

I'm a born and raised Canadian, as well as my husband. Even before our country was completely taken over, employment was hard to come by because of the fw's. 8 years ago, my husband had enough with trying to find a job, he stopped counting at over 450 resumes that were ignored, so he decided that we should start our own company, a small delivery company that 2 years later, we added a safe ride service to (driving drunk people home in their own vehicle). I was the manager of a little pizza place, which was run by immigrants, but good ones. I was hired because my husband approached them about doing deliveries, and they wanted to meet me. I had no idea I was going for an interview but they begged me to work for them, their reason; although they could speak English, they weren't fluent in it, so they wanted an English speaking employee who could easily understand the customer's. Within days, I was promoted to manager, and I loved my job and all of them. They treated everyone with such kindness and generosity. I found out just how much support they got from our government, when I broke down one day because I couldn't afford my prescription. My boss was so confused because he and his family got free prescriptions, dental, eye care, etc and they thought everyone got that. My boss paid for my prescription and actually apologized to me for how our own government treated us. He also showed me that they get $2,500 every 2 weeks, funding to start or buy businesses, but if they don't hire other fw's or immigrants, that funding changes to a grant and they have to pay it back. They are given money for housing, and vehicles. He was pushed out of that business by his 2 partners, and the partner's promised him I would keep my job. That was a complete lie. They stopped putting me on the schedule, claiming financial problems (bs), but hired not one but two new full time immigrant employees. I lost it and quit. Our town isn't that big, and word spread fast, especially when everyone found out that I was still owed over $2,000, which I will never see because no government agency will help me. Their business is actually struggling now and I love that for them. As for my husband and I's business, it's going strong but I came unglued when we recieved a letter from the government "suggesting" that we hire immigrants. I wrote back, telling them in no uncertain terms would that ever happen, and it will be a cold day in hell when one of us steps back so one of the government's favored people can take that money from us because we are the only 2 employees and we're not sacrificing a damn thing for someone who already gets everything.

Brown people living in Western countries, never let your guard down. Never let yourself be lulled by the comfortable thought that just because you learnt english, got a PhD , worked an honest job , kept a friendly demeanour, people would automatically be nice to you. I was almost born in Canada but because of an thyroid illness they did not aprove my mom to come to Canada (late 50`s) So my dad and grandfather decided to stay in the Netherlands. I have a soft spot for Canada........ could have been my home country. Good luck to all of us against dictators and bullies in this world. Germany as a society never bothered to learn what is like to live with foreiners. The society doesnt think or care about learning or teaching reapect towards different culture. At first i thought its just a matter of time, but after over 10 yrs here i realised that they dont really 'intend' to accept this new segment of tax payers. They just 'try' to 'tolerate' AT BEST. Germany is so culturally behind. Missed entire 90s when other countries learn about globalisation and all, because the mighty Germany doesnt need anything other than glorious themselves who has everything and can provide everything themselves. I was never intend to settle down in Germany so i didnt bother so much, but seems to me they are missing out for those who came with intention of staying.. shame.

Thank you for summarizing these key changes! Many problems are actually the Canadian immigration system not learning from the mistakes of the US system and now it’s suffering the same consequences. If Canada cuts down on those selected immigrations but still takes in refugees, it’s only going to make anti-immigrant sentiment worse. Selected immigrants are allowed into Canada to help alleviate Canadian issues…or at least people who come through Express Entry are less likely to become a burden. On the other hand, refugees, given their unfortunate circumstances, really need to rely on a lot of social services and resources to help them resettle. The US has eliminated pretty much all non-humanitarian immigration that’s why immigrants are so demonized there. Americans only feel the drags of refugees and asylum seekers (even though ethically we need to protect them) and there is no selected immigration to balance that out. Yet this round of Canadian policy change is heading exactly that direction.\n\nIt used to be international students in Canada are not paying a lot more tuition than Canadian students. But Canadian universities saw how much money universities in the US are making so they asked the federal government to change the policy to enable them to charge international students several times the regular tuition (whereas in countries like France, international students actually pay less than citizens). So now Canadian universities rely too much on international students to operate and it becomes an exploitative relationship even before students step foot on the campus. The new PGWP eligibility is awful because students can make contributions in every field. It might (and that's a big if) address the pressing problems, but it won't help Canada grow.\n\nI thought the new language requirement was interesting. Some Canadians who immigrated decades ago when the bar was really low still speak English poorly and now they are saying people can’t come to Canada because their language skills are not sufficient. Another point about language is if you apply through Express Entry now, even if you scored the highest language score, given how competitive the pool is, you still won’t get selected. So it’s a given that you need to be fluent in one of the languages at least to get an invitation. Express Entry also selects only the top people, I saw the head of The Institute for Canadian Citizenship in interviews talking about those top-tier people only expect the best treatment/lifestyle when they come to Canada. That's why many of them leave after seeing these Canadian problems play out. But I believe a good Canadian life is not about living in a high rise in Vancouver and Toronto, driving an expensive car, or buying luxury items...it's about the communities, nature and middle-class comfort. So the system is giving PRs to the wrong kind of people (just like mismatched people when hiring that don't align with company values).\n\nThis brings me to the last frustrating issue. There were so many people who attended “fake” universities and bought “fake” jobs to earn points to get an Express Entry invitation. And it's clear that the government wasn't proactively catching these abuses. They are taking up spots from those who try to earn the points fair and square. If I understand correctly, Canada doesn’t send these people away if they are found out (since some of them were scammed). So they still take up immigration quotas.\n\nI have wanted to move to Canada for a long time. I have visited Canada many times, hiking trails through the coastline and fjords, climbing mountains and glaciers. I lived in Montreal for two months to improve my French and I was told by my homestay family that I was the first student they had who didn’t complain about the cold (I wish the winter never ends so I can skate or xc ski in the parks year-round). I have probably seen more Canada than many Canadians and I love every bit of it. But the opportunity for me to even get a shot to move there is pretty much nonexistent now. If only there was a way for the system to allow people who really care about Canada to get a shot at being part of this beautiful country.\n\nThank you for making these videos.

How exactly do you expect me to fit in? I've spoken English and lived here since the age of 2. I celebrate Halloween and Christmas but not Pride Month, and I don’t eat Canadian food regularly. If fitting in means doing all those things, then I have questions. I thought living here meant I could eat whatever I want and celebrate the festivals I like, such as Eid or Diwali, without anyone interfering. As long as I’m not causing trouble—which I never do—why should anyone dictate how I live?\n\nBeing '100% Canadian' is impossible for me because I prefer staying true to myself. This has been my country for a long time, so telling me to 'go back' makes no sense.\n\nAlso, let’s not forget how Canada’s history involves forcing European traditions onto Indigenous people. Trump may have won the 2024 election, will be sworn in on Jan 20, 2025 to become the 47th U.S. President, but Trump isn’t my president. Allow me to explain. There are certain attributes that define a U.S. president. A U.S. president places the citizens of this country ahead of his own personal interests. Trump doesn’t do that (hasn’t done that). Trump is self serving. On Jan ’21, Trump became an insurrectionist. Many citizens and police officers were injured and one police officers lost his life. According to the Constitution (the Supreme Court disagrees with me), Trump incited citizens to overthrown the certification of the 2020 election. Insurrection is one of the lowest acts any American can do, let alone a U.S. President. Trump states that the “insurrection” falls under immunity for “official acts”. Since when is “insurrection” an “official presidential duty”? Trump is a known Master Liar. This is beyond a moment when a president estimates, guesses and exaggerate numbers, figures and facts. Trump just lies – over 2k+ lies. Trump cannot be trusted in telling Americans the truth. Every time Trump opens his mouth, a lie flies out! Trump doesn’t appear to be able to help himself. One lie after another. Spreading the lie that the 2020 election was “stolen” and not providing legal evidence is an unforgivable act that Americans should #NEVER forget. MAGA, selected GOP, Christian Nationalists don’t appear to be troubled that Trump cannot tell the truth. To me, the truth strengthens the bond of trust – I have NO Trust for Trump! MAGA, Christian Nationalists and some selected GOP – I may use big words that you don’t comprehend such as: Liar, Convicted Felon, sexual misconduct, Insurrection, Fraud, election interference, Unauthorized Possession of classified documents. These are some, not ALL, of the words that defines Trump and his actions. These things do NOT appear to cause any concerns with the 71.2m people who cast their vote in the Nov 5th ’24 presidential election. Trump had unauthorized possession of classified material. (I am not certain what Classified Material Trump possessed, but if these documents would put my friends, my family and I in harm’s way – it’s a problem.) Again, those who voted for Trump, the 71.2m people, #NEVER thought about this. If they had, Trump would #NEVER have received their vote. America has a short attention span. How quickly have we forgotten that Trump’s inaction of Covid-19 could have prevented many from becoming ill and millions losing their lives. (If one of your loved ones have passed due to Covid-19, you will remember Trump’s inability to deal and handle the situation. It is something you will #NEVER forget.) I will not write a book here, but the listed reasons above is why Trump may be the 47th President of the United States, but he isn’t my president. My president would have #NEVER done these things to an American.

People pay handlers and risk their lives to trek the long journey to a land they believe to be a dream. A country that is safer than their own, a place where you can do better with hard work, a country where your voice can be heard; but never would they imagine a hostile Christian country with hatred towards them. They thought Jesus had room for them; instead, they are getting a slammed door. Who needs the devil when Jesus's people is so non hospitable. No kindness. Just separating children from their parents. Most are coming to our countries to kill and take over. Muslims never get along with anyone else its an evil cult thought up by an evil man, and kept going for money and power by the high up muslims.

Oh, Brampton’s over 80% non-white, and now it’s a 'mass immigration crisis,' is it? Interesting. I wonder how the Indigenous people felt when waves the Europeans came over and started making themselves at home. You know, back when mass immigration also happened, except the native population didn’t exactly get a warm welcome either—more like the opposite.\n\nI mean, isn’t it ironic? A country built on immigration now complaining about… immigration. It’s almost like history has a sense of humor. But hey, at least now we have the internet so everyone can share their thoughts on 'who belongs' in a land that wasn’t really theirs to begin with. Funny how that works, right?\n\nOh yes, Canadian culture and values—those timeless, ancient traditions that go all the way back to… the last couple of centuries? I mean, forgive me, but when exactly did Canada, a country that came into existence through colonization, suddenly develop this pure, distinct culture that’s now under 'threat'?\n\nLet’s talk about Canadian values—like diversity, inclusion, and… oh wait, that’s only good until people from different backgrounds actually show up. Then it’s suddenly a 'crisis.' Classic.\n\nAnd what exactly are we preserving here? Maple syrup and hockey? Because, newsflash, multiculturalism is Canadian culture now. It’s the same 'values' that were conveniently forgotten when Indigenous communities were being erased. But sure, let’s act like a few more immigrants are going to dismantle the grand, rich, centuries-old tapestry of... Tim Hortons and politeness.\n\nHonestly, if the presence of more people of color is that threatening to 'Canadian values,' maybe those values were never that strong to begin with.

I am from the Balkans. I have been studying, living and working abroad since I was 18. Germany was the 7th country I moved to and the first country ever I felt unwelcomed at work- because of my Balkan origins. I must say I was rather shocked because being a very open, international professional with lots of experience, I thought something of this kind would never be even imaginable. However, outside of my work field I gained many german friends pretty quickly - friends for life ( no competition here, haha). 10 years later, I am still here and the situation changed to better - a lot. A mix of getting trust, learning the language, and getting more international colleagues. I am totally thankful to the health system - they saved my life. If I stayed in my country, I would have had serious health issues. I am thankful to the democracy, freedom of expressing, schooling system( so much better than in my times in Yugoslavia), salaries, and many other things Germany gave me. I am living a good life, best life any of my family members had in generations. I would like to stay here as long as it feels good for me and my family. Having a german father to my kids is however the strongest link to me feeling home in Germany -having a local within your family makes it all a lot easier.

My daughter is nearing the end of 2 great years in Canada on an IEC (backpacker) visa from Australia. She’s loved the people, the landscape (mostly lived in BC and Alberta) , and working there…. She picked up interesting jobs, worked very hard, just about made ends meet, has been great. \n\nShe was even offered a permanent job by a major Canadian co last year (she was working for them on a one year role at the time) that would’ve paved the way for her to apply for PR…but she turned it down without a second thought….. for all the reasons you would know about \n\n- Wages aren’t great (maybe 20% less than australia), \n\n- taxes are high (incl having to pay CPP…in australia the employer pays all pension contributions, on top of wages), \n\n- groceries prices out of kilter, \n\n- rents consume most of what’s left…. \n\n- AND, even if you could save a deposit for a house, or shoebox apartment….what’s the point, could never afford it. \n\nShe’s seen nearly all her Canadian friends resigned to their fate of being perennial renters, of being perpetually skint. It’s no life. She’s sad to see it - coming from a country of perpetual optimism and opportunity, to learn over time how such a (on many levels) similar country isn’t like that, that has somehow got it all so wrong. \n\nIf you are thinking of “australia” as your answer, it’d be a fair call\n\n- Avoid Sydney if you can (a less expensive Vancouver) but rest of the place is “workable”. \n\n- Average wage in Perth is $100k (C$90k) and average house (full size…not an apt or townhouse) price is about $700k (C$630k) …so do-able, if tight to start with, for youngsters (like you..!) \n\n- I’ve been to Vancouver’s East Hastings St, and so can confirm is nowhere close to that in Oz. Are sketchy parts of all cities, but it’s definitely not community wide\n\n- are small pockets of homelessness (esp but not only indigenous community) but the governments are mostly (sort of…) “on it” \n\n- sun, sea, sand… and the sharks rarely come close to shore!

As a canadian , we're just sick and tired of a country , full of a billion people taking all of our stuff. As a canadian were sick and tired of so many indians. Call it racist all you want.But you're stealing our jobs and you're taking our money out of our economy .. I've never ever ever Thought that they were canadians. If you don't want to assimilate in our culture , you should leave by force. We need to get rid of them.They don't provide anything for our society... Our homelessness crisis would end if we just got rid of all the indians.

Capitalism does not work. The constant crisis and boom/bust cycles will lead to its demise, eventually. Canada isn't alone, in fact inflation and other problems have been worse in peer western nations. The only nations that seem to be doing better with 'economic growth' are places like China or other societies that place value in public services. Best of luck on your journey. I immigrated to Canada about 10 years ago, and I've done better than the US where I came from. It still is the case, as I go back to visit family in the US regularly and the job prospects are grim, the pensions are even less secure, and union membership is even starker than here. Precarious work is the norm in western nations, and its often worse than in Canada. As a dual citizen, I could choose to get up and move tomorrow, but I'll never return to the US as there is worse places to live than Canada... But I did have a long journey to find stable employment, so I realize Canada isn't perfect. Have you thought about ending work as a content creator on YouTube and doing something that might be more productive or fulfilling? It might be a start to a better future. It may even be better than moving to a different country that would have the same or worse problems.

Well, Canadians have ruined their own country, congratulations to everyone who thought Trudeau and co. would be a good choice, congratulations to those who never bothered to vote, congratulations to those who put up “immigrants and refugees welcome” signs. And congratulations to those who never said anything about all the shit that was going on. Canada became a shithole because of all of you! Congrats!

My great-great-great-great-grandfather came to this country in the War of 1812 his name is Sir Colonel James Fitzgibbon. Our family Legacy is in the history books of saving Canada from being a part of the United States during that war. That is on my mother's side of the family. On my father's side of the family I am native Ojibwe Indian. So my bloodline is purely Canadian. I was raised in downtown Toronto in the seventies and eighties and the most beautifully multi-cultural city in Canada. Never have I had a problem or even thought in any way of being racist. In those days an even until very recently I never had a problem with anyone from India. I loved the culture the food and for the most part people from India have always been very polite and accepting of the Canadian culture.. but that is no longer the case. And enough is enough
