These immigrants have it too good! Wow, a whole four dolllars per prescription. I’m paying more than that in all my co pay and I live below the poverty line! Hell, I have to pay seventeen dollars in co pay for Spiriva just so I can breath and these damn asylum seekers get it for four bucks?! These freeloaders have got to go! Born and raised in Canada. Paid taxes since I was sixteen and this is my payback! Then they wonder why Canadians are starting to resent and actually hate these immigrants. Sorry but not sorry!!!!

I am 64 years old and have been paying income tax for 46 years I don’t get squat from the government!! It burns my butt that refugees come and get put up in a hotel, fed and are given thousands of dollars per year on my hard earned money!! The libtards have abused their power to spend CANADIANS money!!

The immigration system running well in 2010? Really. Under Harper? The man who wanted "Old Stock"?
The federal government spends 9000 per year per canadian on health care.
Do the math. This sum works out to about 1400 per person.
As a Canadian, I say big hairy deal!. Anothrr bunch of Old Stock Canadians creating a tempist in a teapot!

Born and raised white canadian here ... this country is doomed I've watched it slowly fall apart for 20 years now. There is literally one white person per 100 people I see now. The goverment does not care about whites anymore . Only a matter of time before they wipe us out

Roxham Rd. was a human trafficking open door with RCMP baggage handlers for years,,,, then hell broke loose and we've lost the country now.
It was deliberately planned decades ago, slow opening by the Conservatives then flood gates by the Liberals. Canada is Captured and destoyed and Canadian TAXPAYERS are paying these people 81,000 per year WTF?
1st in line for healthcare, free extended healthcare, furniture, HOUSING, taxi money and free banking for CRIMINALS THESE PEOPLE DON'T PAY TAXES THEY TAKE FROM OUR TAX BASE - ITS TREASON ! WHERE'S THE LAWS IN CANADA THAT LEGISLATED THIS CRIME.

Anti immigrant sentiment are base on Xenophobia & insecurity.. Pro immigrant policy are base on stats & economics.. Canadian low birthrate of 1.25 children (350k) need to be at 3 children (850k), so Trudeau policy of 500k immigrant per yr is on point. The gov just failed to plan better, like build enough houses..

As a Canada who speaks both French and English and who follows politics quite closely, I have to say that the headline and some of the reporting here is quite misleading.
A reduction in immigration has broad support across Canada. I wouldn't say that notion is dividing the country in any significant way.
You do have certain industry groups that disagree, but among the population these reductions have broad support.
This is a historic change in public opinion in Canada, but it has been driven by the unprecedented increase in immigration under the last term of the Trudeau government. To put this in context, non-permanent residents in Canada numbered around 1.5 million on Q3 2023, but by Q3 2025, that number sat a just over 3 million. The previous government increased immigration targets by 3 or 4 times over what they had been for years, which caused a number of economic issues. Essentially, the volume was simply too high for the economy and society to support. This was unfair to both Canadians and new comers, many of which could not find employment or afford a decent place to live.
The changes being suggested are largely bringing Canada back to what the targets were for over a decade before, though a bit lower to account for the sudden surge. Canada remains one of the most pro-immigration countries in the world.
However, and this is where I think DW's reporting is misleading, there is a distinction to be made between policies at the federal level and policies at the provincial level.
Immigration, per our constitution, is a federal matter, however, Quebec in particular is distinct from other provinces. I don't mean only culturally and linguistically, but also in the powers that have been devolved to it by the federal government.
On the question of immigration, Quebec has more powers and more ability to set its immigration targets and programs than any of the other 9 provinces.
The particular program discussed here, the Quebec Experience Program (PEQ), is a particular immigration stream that only existed in Quebec. So what is happening with that program cannot be labeled as a whole-of-Canada thing.
Where the changes to the PEQ are controversial, unlike the general changes at the federal level, is that people who immigrated under that specific program were promised certain things. There was a multi-year time line to Permanent Residency and then Citizenship. Many of those people have been in Quebec for 5-8 years already. However, the changes made to the program were done in such a way where people who many years into the program, had gotten an education, started a career, had children, ect. are now being told they can't continue and must leave Canada.
There are even stories of people who married Canadians, now have children, and the one parent who was under this program now faces the possibility of having to leave Canada and be separated from their family. All through no fault of their own.
That is what many people see as unfair, and I agree, however limiting future applications under the program, to bring in less people, that is not controversial.
Canada has no responsibility to bring in people who are not already in Canada, but Canada does have some responsibility towards people who uprooted their lives to move to Canada and built new lives here based on promises and representations made to them by the Canadian and Quebecois governments. We should no simply kick those people out of the country.

I’ve had conversations with Indians who say there’s too many Indians. Prior to the past 10-11 years of liberal “leadership,” we only let in 40k people per year. Now on average over trudeaus time we on average let in 1 million people per year. It’s disgusting. It’s purely the liberals thinking “oh yeah all of of them vote the same, let’s bring em in and they’ll vote us in.” Short term play all about greed and power worship. Instead of a long term play to serve Canada.
Indians and other immigrants who came here before this liberal season, they all despise the new immigrants. Because they had to jump through so many hoops to become Canadian. These new people are welcomed even though they don’t work and go straight on welfare. It’s sick and twisted.

Canadian economy is heavily propped up with exploiting people, everyone gets a share of the spoils, colleges, employment, real estate 10s of billions of dollars
2 million people by $500 a month in rent minimum
2 million x 365 days x $10 in food
2 million x $20,000 in tuition per year, and this is all low end numbers I'm using.

This is a lie. Refugees get $264.00 per day to live on while seniors are expected to live on $26.00 per day. And then the government subsidizes thier wages that they get when Canadians losing their jobs due to the federal and provincial governments destroying Canadians jobs which are then given to the "refugees". I am a Canadian senior refugee in my own country. .I want to get $264.00 per day to live on.

Thanks for bringing light to this huge problem in canada. No joke indians have quickly become like 30% of the workforce here. They take over businesses and refuse to hire non Punjab people because they won't fit in the workplace culture. They've been taking the excessive handouts from the Canadian government and are slowly buying up tons of real estate. Its everywhere in canada. Brampton is just ground zero.
What's it like? We just got a new Walmart down the street. They took a staff picture and it was 80% indian people. Hardly any locals got jobs there instead its mostly "new citizens" who have lived here less than a year or two.
Every day there's more of them. And because of our liberal government and tax breaks and all sorts of racist allowances these people have got, they all have money and houses and new cars when they were dirt poor in India like 3 years ago. They get interest free loans from banks, they get daily per diems and housing as soon as they get here.
Keep in mind tent cities are growing rapidly in Canada. And our government is spending HUGE amounts of our tax dollars to subsidize this takeover.
And try living here and renting. Due to this influx, a bungalow that was 1500 a month 10 years ago, is now 4500 a month and youre renting off an Indian person.
Word to the wise tho, dont even bring up the tow truck businesses. They'll shoot you
And last but not least our retarded government just passed a birthright citizen law for them. So now if you come here from India even if only for a couple years, ALL subsequent offspring of yours can immediately get citizenship here no question asked.
We are so fucked

I’ve got the maple syrup in my blood and I speak on 95.69% Canadians we are ok with immigrantion to a point, not mass immigration. Let our teens have a chance at getting a job in the fast food(companies have to pay full price per hour)

5:19 the guy on the bike is crazy for saying that !! 1) thats definitely not African culture, with Africa being a continent so generalising is outrageous, cause with that I can say North America’s culture is mass shootings, Pedophilia and rape also (see how that doesn’t actually make sense) . And secondly Canada had more rapes per 100,000 than a lot of countries in Africa so I guess it’s Canadian culture too 🤷🏽♀️

Here is a aggressively neutral take as a Canadian elementary school teacher in an area with an extremely high Indian population (around half our school is ethnically Indian). It is also my own opinion, and some opinions on the internet suck:
The good: Cultural integration IS possible (the Indian families are more into hockey than the white families where I live), tons of cross-cultural friendships, beautiful blend of cultural celebrations, top achievers are almost always second-generation immigrants, kids are growing up to love their parents' culture while also loving Canada's, many fantastic families who engage their children well and raise them very respectfully, religious temples that will feed an amazing meal to ANYBODY who walks into them (as long as you cover your hair), low rates of family trauma (drugs, abuse, divorce, etc.), families that take care of their elders
The rough: Not all families are interested in being Canadian (some families just send their kids to Indian speaking private schools, live in Indian areas, and only seem to practice Indian ways of life - what's even the point?), many Indian families retreated into their home-lives during Covid which removed their children from integration opportunities, a very small percentage of the families are absolutely TERRIBLE at parenting and treat their sons and daughters with different levels of respect, multi-family households pay a single property tax which makes the contribution per taxpayer much smaller (while social benefits are equal to anybody else), some crime such as extortion and gang activity has been imported into the country, some individuals' disregard for rules and laws (setting fireworks on Diwali in the middle of a dry, grassy field is just plain stupid), some Indian communities seem to vote blindly for their own ilk during local elections without any regard for policy or experience, LMIA immigration program has been corrupted by the nepotism of bad actors and the greed of large corporations (wages can be federally subsidized which makes it cheaper to hire immigrants than the 16 year old down the street).
Many of these families were simply making good choices for their own family, so don't blame the people themselves for this - blame the government that allowed it to fester unsustainably. I'll continue to stick up for the majority of these beautiful families though - haters be darned! Watching these kids grow up gives me some hope for humanity!

7:27 I read that article fully and it also said: “While nearly half of those surveyed said they felt quality of life in Canada’s fastest-growing big city had decreased in the past three years, 79 per cent of residents rated quality of life in Brampton as good or very good.”
So the quality of life decrease is minimal and the article cites public safety, crime, and affordability of housing as concerns, but doesn’t specify Indian immigration as being the reason nor the racist implications that Tyler is trying to get at.. This is a classic correlation doesn’t mean causation example. If you read further into that article, people generally say that the quality of life is overall better compared to their survey in 2019.
Straight up, Tyler here is cherry-picking data as a means of pushing the right wing narrative that Indians are bad and fueling hatred for them when the real reason is lack of better reform or change from the Canadian govt and Canadas corporations. Not that different from the US tbh.

In the US in 2025, ICE has deported half a million who are not in the US legally, and an estimated additional 1.5 million have self-deported, in some cases with government financial incentives. So 50k deportations might represent a comparably active effort for Canada, and 18k might be creditable for a Liberal government. But the effort sounds rather bureaucratic, and focused only on rejected refugee applications. I would want to know how many of these "deportations" are entirely on paper -- "your application has been rejected, please let yourself out at your earliest convenience." They spent roughly $5k per deportee, and that would cover air fare if the deportations were done privately, but adjudication costs money, and governments find many ways to make everything much more expensive. Also, if refugee claims can be judged false or inadequate, where are the efforts to determine whether "students" are really students?
By the same token, the world is a dangerous place. I figure all those living in any of the many violent inner-city neighborhoods in the US have reason to fear for their lives. Similar facts are true of many millions around the world, and most of them would be rejected by Canadian immigration because they'd be safe if they simply moved to places they can't afford.

less than a toonie per canadian to send them back. I'd say it's money well spent, considering every items cost more than $2 in Dollarama.

The problem is not the immigrants. The problem is with Canadian leaders, and the Canadians who elected and reelected them to office. I lived in Nova Scotia for just over 2 decades. I attempted to have many discussions about these issues and was shocked by the generally vapid responses I'd get. Much more to say, but the main point is that Canadians have destroyed their own country's quality of life and from what I can see, Canada is not worthy of respect as a nation. I take ZERO pleasure in saying this. However, the country should have provided the United States with a up close example of what a well run social democratic nation looks like. Instead, Canada is a joke to the far right and in fact fuels the far right in the US. Now with the global south amassing on the US's northern border (visit Halifax, NS if you have any questions about this), I view Canada as a threat to the USA - which is a nation with more than enough problems.
A note to immigrants reading this: I respect many of you individually, and I do not in the least mind having you in my community. You as an individual are not the problem per se. The problem is that policy makers are simply using migrants to increase Canada's population to 100M by end of century. Google "Canadian House of Commons Century Initiative" to see how Canadian lawmakers voted in support of this policy.
Best,
Patrick Moan

Canada's Immigration Crisis: Prioritizing National Interests Over Uncontrolled Influx from India
The Government of Canada must immediately pause all new immigration from India until systemic abuses are fixed. This is not xenophobia—it is evidence-based policy to protect Canadian jobs, housing, healthcare, and social cohesion from documented exploitation.
1. Failure to Assimilate: Parallel Societies
Indian newcomers are building insulated communities rather than integrating:
Enrolling children in private ethnic schools that teach Punjabi/Gujarati/Hindi first, Canadian history second.
Erecting religious/cultural statues (e.g., Sikh soldiers, Hindu deities) that symbolize India, not Canada.
Hiring almost exclusively within their networks—creating ethnic enclaves in Brampton, Surrey, and Abbotsford.
Result: Two-tier citizenship where one group opts out of shared Canadian identity.
2. Systematic Fraud & Loophole Exploitation
IRCC data shows India as the #1 source of immigration fraud:
Diploma mills: Over 100 Punjab-based “colleges” exist solely to sell student visas. Graduates demand PR after 6–12 months of attendance. Staffing note: Many of these fake schools hire only Indian instructors and administrators.
Chain migration: One student sponsors parents → parents sponsor siblings → endless loop. Elderly parents (65+) arrive with zero tax history yet access free healthcare and OAS/GIS top-ups.
Driver’s license fraud: Punjabi-language road tests in India allegedly purchased for $500–$1,000; new arrivals cause chaos on GTA roads.
Leadership capture:
IRCC Regional Director – Harpreet Kochhar
Deputy Minister (Citizenship) – Pemi Gill
Director of Fraud Detection – Aiesha Zafar
→ 79,000+ “lost” Indian files (2024 Auditor General report). Demand their removal for incompetence and conflict of interest.
3. Healthcare & Professional Capture: Profit-Driven Abuse
Indian-trained professionals now dominate key sectors and prioritize their own community:
Veterinarians & physicians: Order excessive tests (MRIs, blood panels, ultrasounds) on healthy pets/patients to inflate billings. Ontario Veterinary College audits (2023) show Indian-owned clinics average 3.2× more procedures per visit than Canadian peers.
Hospital wait-list manipulation: Indian-descended administrators in GTA hospitals (e.g., Brampton Civic, William Osler) fast-track Indian patients via “family referrals,” pushing Canadians to 12–18 month delays for knee/hip replacements.
Pharmacy chains: Indian-owned Shoppers Drug Mart franchises in Peel Region refuse to hire non-Indian pharmacists; staff counsel Indian patients to stockpile free meds under Trillium Drug Program.
Result: Canadians pay taxes for a system that now serves insiders first.
4. Housing & Resource Monopoly
Real-estate bidding rings: Indian investor groups (often 8–12 families pooling funds) outbid Canadian first-time buyers by 20–40 % in Brampton, Mississauga, and Surrey. CMHC data (2024): 62 % of multiple-offer wins in these cities involve Indian surnames.
Illegal basement suites: 40,000+ unpermitted units in Peel Region—90 %+ rented exclusively to Indian students/newcomers, bypassing fire codes and municipal taxes.
Food-bank abuse: Brampton food banks report 75 % of users are Indian international students with $60 k tuition-paid status—yet eligible for free groceries while Canadian seniors are turned away.
5. Unsustainable Strain on Resources
Birth rates: Indian-Canadian fertility ~2.8 vs national 1.4 (StatsCan 2023). Strategic demographic expansion drains schools, maternity wards, and child-tax benefits.
Job displacement: Nepotism in trucking, security, and hospitality pushes Canadian-born workers aside.
Example: Tim Hortons franchises in Peel Region—90 % Indian staff, zero ads on Indeed.
Welfare despite employment: PGWP holders earn $18–22/hr in cash-heavy roles yet qualify for GST/HST credits and Ontario Trillium Benefit.
6. Imported Crime & Work Ethic Issues
Gang violence: Brampton/Surrey now rival Toronto for Indo-Canadian gang shootings (Peel Police 2024).
Fraud rings: $2 B+ in CESTB/CEBA scams traced to Punjab call centres.
Workplace corners-cutting: Health Canada inspections cite Indian-owned pharmacies for fake prescriptions; MTO flags Indian-heavy trucking firms for log-book fraud.
Immediate Policy Demands
180-day moratorium on all Indian visas (study, work, visitor).
Close 150+ diploma mills; revoke licences of agents in Punjab/Chandigarh.
End parental sponsorship for anyone over 55 with <10 years Canadian tax residency.
Mandate public-school enrollment for all PR children; no public funding for ethnic private schools.
Fire & replace Kochhar, Gill, Zafar—appoint independent auditors.
PR points overhaul: Minimum 5 years continuous skilled work + CLB 9 English + clean police record.
Healthcare audit: Cap billing per patient; random audits of Indian-owned clinics/hospitals.
Housing registry: Ban cash offers >10 % above asking; require proof of 5-year Canadian income for multiple-property purchases.
Canadians citizens who contributed and work hard to built this country must be prioritize. Full stop!
The evidence is public, parliamentary, and police-reported. Ignore the “racism” label—protect the country before these Indians takeover completely takes over Canada.

Canadian gov has opened much of the international students for Indians, if only they did a fair ratio between other nationalities that issues now would have been controlled, if I am not mistaken, they let 250k per yr for India, rest of the international students are just 25k per yr each coming from different countries.

Canada has changed significantly in recent years, and I believe our post-COVID immigration policies have played a major role in the challenges we’re facing today.
Here’s how things went off track: Many individuals who couldn’t pass the IELTS (English proficiency test) entered the country on visitor visas or through spousal sponsorships—some of which were questionable or fraudulent. During that time, the government was converting visitor visas into work permits with little to no scrutiny. Background checks and rejections were rare.
Meanwhile, colleges rapidly expanded their intake capacity—understandably so, since international students pay three to four times more in tuition. At the same time, due to inflationary pressures, the government allowed international students to work 40 hours per week instead of the previous 20-hour limit. This created a new, ready-to-work labor force in just a year or two, heavily impacting the retail sector.
As a result, a large portion of retail jobs shifted toward a single ethnic group, while many Canadian citizens found themselves sidelined. One key factor was flexibility. Many immigrant communities—particularly Indian—were more willing to accept irregular hours and last-minute shifts, often adopting a more compliant, “yes sir” attitude that employers found appealing.
However, I’m already beginning to notice changes in the retail landscape, likely due to the government finally tightening immigration rules.
Going forward, we don’t need to close our doors—but we do need smarter immigration policies, with proper checks and balances, to ensure fairness and sustainability for everyone.

Why does Canada need 1 million international students (as per Statista) it makes no sense. The total working population is around 20mn, where can we absorb 5% more suddenly assuming all these want to work, and plus there will be local Canadian students. This is a monumental fraud which needs to stop. Even USA with 9x population and economy doesnt have so many students

IRCC-Immigration must employ an original white Canadian born and not immigrants to eliminate Mafia-Fraud in the system.
These children of immigrants like Aizha are part of the Mafia who are favouring and selective thata why Canada are flooded with illegal and fraud.
They are connected with businessmen-politicians in House of Commons who are favouring their original country of nationalities.
Immigration-IRCC must regulate the number of entries per nationality to Canada so that it will not be dominated by particular color and religion of nationalities whi wanted to change Canada's government, religion, culture and impose that they wanted to be according to their comfort.
The first nation and white Canadian for fought and died with their own blood for many years to built a beautiful qnd peace country of Canada are noe neglected and these Mafia Immigrants are gradually dominating to govern the country by crimes abs illegal acts

I am an immigrant came to Canada in 2014. The immigration system in Canada right now is not let every body in this country, is only allowed low/non skills workers and fraud applications in. I have a friend from China who got a bachelor degree from university of Waterloo and worked at downtown Toronto as a finance person for $500k per year which is extreme high in Canada. But he could not get his permanent resident because he is not what Canada needs as the immigration system. But immigration system is giving lots of pathway on low skills workers who can bring his/her whole families inside the country. These low skills workers need to find employers to do many complicated admin works for the application. In reality, no employers are willing to do such a complicated admin works for a minimum wages worker. So these people are paying the the employers to do the admin works without a single day working. Once they get the permanent residency, they just stay in Canada without working, paying taxes or try to become a Canadian. But for these people who have a high-pay job with high degrees, Canada is kicking them out of this country.

Canadians, this problem has been going on for a long time, but only now are you waking up. When I arrived in Canada in 2017, I was shocked to start English classes at a public school. Only my friend and I were paying CAD 1,000 per month to study, while everyone (refugees) paid nothing to study and received CAD 500 per person, plus rent.

The immigrant voices (those who were vetted appropriately and who came to become Canadian citizens, with respect for the culture of Canada) are powerful and impactful and bear so much weight. Thank you for speaking out, brothers and sisters. You are correct, I am not upset with immigrants per se, but am frustrated with how leaky and inept the government has been with their slack policies. I have been in public parks and watched as non-English speaking immigrants leave their trash littering a park! Where they do not respect personal space. I want to live with people who are interested in being Canadian and respect the cultural values and norms of Canadian citizens, NOT those who plan to come in and take over. Come on, guy who said Muslims are going to take over Canada. How well received do you thing that will be?! I have Muslim and Indian friends and they are not like this idiot.

the producer of this video is exactly right...why migrate from a place you are wanted to import everything from...Answer; Freebies, stop the gravy train, end all unearned monies, tax credits/benefits/ payments per person and per child, rent assist..Canadians don't get them why should these people who come out expecting to live for free
|
| 2025-08-31 | 1 |
Why not make it affordable for Canadian women to have more than 1 child? Why bring Muslim women who don't work or pay taxes while paying them $700 plus per child, to have several children and $1950 per adult...so a refugee family with 3 children gets $6000 to live on not even working...when 2 working Canadians often don't earn that each working full time and have to pay taxes and child care for each child they have.
|

The liberal terror show has got to go.
They are absolutely terrorists. Our government is run by a bunch of quacks... If you are a come as a refugee, you get $83000 net, take home. How many people in one family can milk that? Did you know if you're a working person? You would have to gross Almost $160,000 per year. In order to net 83000 Which is what they get to come here. It's an absolute disgrace, absolute insanity and a disgrace to every hard-working Canadian.!.😢😮
|
| 2025-08-29 | 0 |
There is a video on how a Canadian citizen should leave Canada and come back as a refugee new immigrant! It's sickening because the government our tax paying dollars are paying each immigrant $224.00 per day to be housed in hotel room and food etc?! This is wrong as how come ppl like myself awaiting to have my knee replacement surgery I am only getting $1208 per month on disability EIA? I am sorry but I was.born and raised a true Canadian citizen from Wpg Mb Canada, I have never relocated and came back to Canada I have always remained here right from first day I was born! I lived threw our most brutal winters we have ever had and yes I lived it and still and were is my $30000 or should I say $53000, $1000 for each year born and raised here in Canada is what it should be!? These immigrants come here need to learn English language fluently both speak and listen in it as well, they should not become a Canadian citizen legally until they have resided in Canada for a substantial amount of time! A Canadian citizenship status should be earned big time no matter where you came flat out before getting any benefits of any kind and be able to buy and sell homes here too!? I find cab drivers muslems mostly very ignorant and rude talking in their language while on the job behind the wheel must add yes ppl driving you to your destination and not to mention do these.ppl stop to think maybe your clients passengers get annoyed listening to that on their ride to where ever,???? NO NO NO!! YOUR WIFE, MOTHER, FATHER OR CHILDREN WHOMEVER SHOULD NOT BE BOTHERING YOU WHILE YOU ARE ON THE JOB WORKING?! When I go to work as a nurse do you see me talking to my spouse or family members while I am helping my clients eat or bath and get dress, NO WAY YOU WOULD BE FIRED!!? Us Canadian citizens need to stand together and our tax paying money we should have a say in where it should be going not to ppl who are not from our country!?

Cuz the government corrupts so much to a point that need to find a way out to grab quick money. 25k to 35k per head for them to come in canada. All the canadian gov has to do is issued them two piece of visa a student and working visa. This government is not doing anything for domestic working class growth. The only growth I see is taxes and cost of living. The system is fucked, all politicians retired with plenty of money but regular citizen all have no saving.

Canadian women birth rate of 1-1/3 children per woman is a great explanation of where the Woke fools come from . Instead of immigration we should have been increasing the child tax credits if you made it so a family with 3+ children did not pay taxes you would have family having 4 children per woman and it would cost us less per person than the support of these so called immigrants

It’s like being a Canadian Citizen is a crime now talk about immigration they call you racist, go to Tim Hortons, McDonalds, Walmart, or a truck stop you’ll see flip flop drivers 3-4 per truck.
Carney is doing squat, just grease your elbows nonsense, bruv can’t even stand for Canadians domestic problems. How can one demographic of people from one nation dominate every work sector.

it is not Canadians per say but the failed experiment that is called the liberal party of Canada they have failed us. The liberal party has ruled in Canada for over 66% of the time since we have been voting, so please tell me if the liberal government is good then why is this country in such horrible shape

I’ve lived in Canada for 30 years, but I became unemployed in 2021. This is the first time I’ve been out of work for more than a year and a half. I’ve applied online for over 20 jobs, but unfortunately I haven’t received any responses. This has never happened to me before.
When I first came to Canada, it felt very safe—you could even leave your door unlocked at night. Things have changed a lot since then. Nowadays, there are many new immigrants and refugees, which has also changed the job market. I’ve noticed that many companies prefer hiring workers with student visas, because the government subsidizes part of their wages. That makes it more cost-effective for companies compared to hiring Canadian workers.
I heard this directly from my former manager. As a result, some of my old colleagues now only get one or two days of work per week, while companies continue bringing in new employees.

Canada has been acting as part of US for years, taking orders from the US regardless of Canadian interest, for example arresting Huawei executive Meng Wanzhou per US order. Why not agree to become the 51th state of the US?

It will hurt Americans much, much more than Canadians. This is what you need to realize: Canadians are much tougher than Americans. The rest of the world backs Canada. We have your energy. More than 60 per cent.

Trudeau's desperation and fanaticism are unmatched, he is sacrificing the economy and the Canadian people for his ineptitude and fanaticism, the tariffs are a consequence of his total negligence in allowing laboratories and trafficking of Fentanyl in Canada, in addition to his fanatical support for the corrupt puppet of Biden and the globalist left Zelensky. Simply his fanaticism and ignorance lead him to claim an economic war with America, he forgets that the poorest state in the USA has a per capita income higher than the richest state in Canada! Its economy depends on America for more than 287 billion annually! This political arrogance is only the confirmation of his lack of leadership and is dealing a fatal blow to the Canadian economy.

Even before the actions taken by Canada, one should look at balance of Fentanyl illegal trade. \n
\nOn average 46 lb of Fentanyl were smuggled from Canada to US , which divided by the population of the US comes to a 0.049 mg of fentanyl per US Citizen
\nOn the other direction, 950 lb Fentanyl were smugeled from the from US to Canada, which when divided by the population of Canada, ends up being 10.88 mg of fentanyl per Canadian Citizen\nNow, scientists say 2 mg is a lethal dose.
\nJust think about it, trump's US could kill each Canadian 5 times over by Fentanyl. \nSo who is supposed to be pissed?

Did you know that since the beginning of 2022, housing, healthcare, infrastructure, and affordability in Canada. \n\n$10 billion could have built 30,000+ affordable housing units, reducing homelessness and rent prices. $5 billion could have expanded healthcare, hiring doctors and nurses to cut wait times. $2 billion could have Canada has committed approximately $19.7 billion in multifaceted support to Ukraine. Let that sink in.... $19,700,000,000 ?\n\nThis comprehensive assistance includes over $12.4 billion in direct financial aid, the highest per capita contribution among G7 nations, and $4.5 billion in military assistance, intended to be delivered through 2029.\n\nAdditionally, Canada has pledged a $5 billion contribution, with $2.5 billion disbursed recently and the remaining sum to follow soon.\n\nIf Canada had spent the $19.7 billion on domestic issues, it could have significantly improved\nsupported veterans and provided clean water to Indigenous communities, while $3 billion could have upgraded roads and public transit. Another $2 billion could have funded food programs and tax relief to combat rising living costs.\n\nRedirecting this money could have directly improved the lives of millions of Canadians, addressing urgent national crises instead of foreign aid for a fake war that the Ukraine can never win...

Maybe he should discuss the constant duty fees and border crossing fees for anything shipped from Canada to the USA that have been constantly rising for years; fees that his very own government sets. Maybe he should talk about Canada demanding that anyone that sells anything foodwise to anyone in Canada from the USA has to have a special Safe Food For Canadians Food License or the goods being shipped will be rejected at the US owners cost, seized by the border and held in storage at the US owners cost, and destroyed and billed to the US owner. A license that no one actually needs considering other legal and ethical controls are in place to prevent unsafe foods from crossing the border, but Canada reserves the right to make us pay for one or we suffer consequences. Maybe he should discuss how they left their borders open to migrants, making it much easier for criminal migrants to get into the US. Maybe he should understand that the US has always been bleeding money to Canada on a trade level for about half a century with it getting much worse in the last decade because Canada's government are greedy. Before any of you come at me, keep in mind I work in the food ingredient industry as an order processing, logistics and customs & border crossing and have done so for 15 years. These tariffs were a long time coming and if any of you are on the inside of trade in the manner I am, then you know what I'm saying is true. The US is constantly paying additional tariffs by way of duty fees, customs fees, certain applied taxes (like there is literally a blueberry tax to ship US grown blueberries into Canada to prevent US blueberries from taking over the Canadian blueberry market). The blueberry tax is about 25cents per lb. which drives the price per lb. up for the seller and buyer. You wanna know why Food costs so much? All of the above with a huge side helping of GREED.

While I don’t agree with Trumps tariffs, I understand why he’s doing them. As a Canadian citizen, please don’t glamorize Trudeau- hes a spoiled rotten brat of a former PM. Nothing more. You’ve not lived the last 10 years under his totalitarian govt, suspending the rights of Canadians at will, insulting and dividing our country at will, taking away legal firearms owners rights rights at will (people who had to pass safety courses and are more vetted than RCMP officers). \n\nHe’s proven to be more fake than a $3 dollar bill. All the liberal & ndp’s in Canada are. He has the worst record in Canadian history as a PM, including the highest taxes, home prices, massive, unsustainable immigration, and the worst healthcare crisis in Canada’s socialized medical system since its inception. \n\nHe’s accumulated more debt than all previous PM’s COMBINED (as per the PBO). \n\nThen he comes on here after he resigned on Jan.6th - yes after cratering Canada’s economy methodically for the last 10 yrs - to inflame the POTUS and who will pay for that? Canadian and American working class citizens. \n\nIf you think Canada is so great, you’re either a wealthy boomer, or have no clue what it’s like to work for a living in this modern economy in Canada. People are required to work 2-3 jobs just to afford the basics. Wages have been stagnant since the 90’s here, with cost of living rising 600-700% in the last 10 yrs.

36 trillion in national debt. That’s over $100,000 debt for each American. This is why Trump is taking action. The U.S. is going to default on just the interest payments alone!!! Canadas national debt per Canadian is $35,000. \n\nIt’s time our politicians prepare for rainy days by building manufacturing for the raw resources rather then send them off to be sold back as products to us. We bring in wealthy immigrants that price out our Canadian born citizens trying to buy into the housing market while the tent cities grow. The Liberal party has failed us.

NAFTA was stupid. But a USCAN OR CANUS would've been fine. We shipped jobs to Mexico. But we cannot screw with our partner to the North. Raw materials is what Canadians have provided for 20 years! Trump is not being smart here. Not at all. Eggs are already at 10 dollars per dozen. Now everything will go up.
