It must be exhausting for the liberals to even have to do their performance theatre in the HOC. Ugh, you little people. Anyway, they will carry on with the charade until unquestionable power is achieved, and good luck to all of us in prying them out. Adrienne, Brian, Lorrie, you endlessly chat about the issues as if you think you can bring reason to whats happening if only they'd listen. Just stop it, really. With complete respect to all of you, do you think you change anything in this commentary? Youre all great, but we're in a paradigm rut on how to view this government and frankly, all governments. Perhaps we should all personally step back for a period and examine exactly what it is we're doing and start looking for solid, out-of-the-box solutions, because using 19th century political tools for affecting change just doesn't work anymore. Finally, this might be hard to wrap our heads around, but we are all part of the problem in some way. If you have the faculty to do so, ask yourself if you work for or support entities that ultimately support the very system oppressing you. Be smarter out there, everyone.

Have you never seen any progressive and good side of the Indians' contribution?? I think you should go listen to P.M Macron's speech in IT summit that happened recently in India. Just because of one ill-literate stupid person who ate the cow-dung doesn't represent the whole of India. There are some stupid people in every country. Its a sensible and a resonable think to understand such realities. Before you talk about India please read and have some knowledge about each state then you'll understand each state is very different and a country by itself. Where did our money go to…if you make over 50k…you’re being taxed more!! Yet food , and being taxed on every move we make down to water…..now more off working class people.

I live in Brampton born and raised. Indians are generally nice people but this new generation of immigrants that came around covid time were different. Working at places like Walmart now feels like a job not meant for us Canadians. Entire work place blasting Punjabi music and speaking in another language. Imagine feeling foreign in your own country while trying to work.

Its was nice country when we landed in 2008 now most students doesnt even know english with IELTS 8 and they talk in pure Punjabi They are basically farmers and sold their land and did make false and fake credentials.I can challenge if fhey are taken IELTS here in Canada their score would be 2 Alhamdulillah we came from a Cosmopolitan citt on POINTS and worked hard in Middle East in Medical facilities.

I live in south Texas and the company I work for is based in Ontario and it is completely run by Indians. All the locations from Canada to Dallas to California to Indiana is run by Indians. They’re kinda retarded but very nice people all in all

Over the past 12-14yrs, the amount of people from Foreign countries around this county and just a cpl more surrounding us has went up 20 fold! ALOT of Indian(Computer Indian, Not the Indians that have Always been here and should rightfully own it) owned companies around here now. No apartments to rent around here anymore, and the ones you find have the rent jacked up to crazy amounts! I get along with all the ones I know. Nice , hard working people. My Dr. Is from India now too!

You know who hates Indians the most? Other Indians. 100% honest truth, I worked with many Indian dentist and they blatantly said straight up "we want a white receptionist and assistant" then they offered me $8 over my asking wage. I don't mind Indians at all. They are hard working people and don't usually create problems. The Somalis are horrible. They have ZERO etiquette, manners and a complete disregard for anyone but themselves. I moved cities to get away from them because they have like 8-10 kids. They all just make kids for child benefit money and sit at home on welfare. They are ALL on welfare. Those on ODSP work under the table while on a disability benefit. The government is dumb as hell for bringing so many. Nice cities have become shit holes because they're dirty and don't care about their communities. They're just awful.

Here on the west coast its the same shit. These Indian guys in construction piss in water bottles and leave it in units, shit in bathtubs and none of them wear deodorant. Its fckin FOUL. We also have serious crime here because of them. Extortion cases, gang shootings, polluting the community with drugs. Dumptruck drivers who operate trucks with serious mechanical problems risking ppl's lives. My friend works for Commercial Vehicle Safety Enforcement and says they are the biggest offenders on the road by far!! Majority of them are really nice people but when the government allows tens of thousands to flood the place the numbers of scumbags go up.

I went through a drive thru in Weyburn Saskatchewan and almost shit my pants when I seen (1) white guy working there, 99% Indian in the smack dab middle of the country, and it’s like this everywhere. Have heard half a dozen times from separate ppl that they were asked if they spoke Hindi or Punjabi to work at Tim Hortons because “all the staff spoke it” they take our jobs because they accept lower wages. I’m just fatigued, it just sucks because I know the vast majority of Indians before 2020 were actually nice and adaptable decently well. Now when you go out to eat or buy groceries you don’t even get a “have a nice day” which is a Canadian custom IMO. Most of the time besides the transaction details, they will not speak to you.

The problem is immigration back in day was a luxury in India so only riches made it outside and they were rich compared to others after independence because they were more pro british and served them. So it was easy for them to immigrate and assimilate into your culture. Now you see many poor people also immigrating because immigration became more accessible, its just like the touchscreen phones, before only rich people had them, but later and now everyone has it. Plus your overly liberal and the stupid point system lets anyone enter the country if they meet a specific criteria, they barely check their english, background, crime record, etc. Also, living in India is a survival, or a nightmare for short. Especially for the poor people in the up north, and so they go to these shady agents who claim that they can send him or her to Canada, UK, Australia where ever they want in exchange for some money. Sometimes these agents turnout to be scams and sometimes not, then these students apply to some fake university that has no campus in Canada and select a course thats easy. Then once approved they come to canada, don’t go to university and make some other indian friends who say they have contacts with some job providers and through that the students get their jobs at the fast food joints and shopping malls. The mindset with which these students come to Canada is that I want to get a simple job as soon as I land in Canada and through that job I can get a PR. They never go to assimilate or discover the culture, they come because the country looks nice, has resources, and will provide them with a good salary so that they send some money back home to their parents as compared to low paying jobs in India, which too are super competitive. They still like the indian way of life, the culture, the food, the attire, just not in India. Thats why you’ll never see these students eating at anything other than a Indian Punjabi Restaurant or a fast food joint, they will never make white friends, they will never try to change the way they speak and look at Canadians, they will never try to change their driving habits. In conclusion, more poor people and students migrating, paired with their mindset of “I want everything to be Indian just not in India but in a place that looks better” paired with their low interest in actually learning and working better jobs is what makes them a bad immigrant group. But thats not to say that all are like that its only some and mostly Punjabis/ other North Indians that have this mindset. The reason why the Indian group in USA is much better and successful is because they are mostly of south indian descent. Those people are far more educated, actually respect the law of the land. And fun fact: The stereotypical Indian Accent originated from USA mainly and reason why many indians say that they don’t speak in that accent is because that particular stereotypical accent is present in Indian people who come from the states of Andra Pradesh and Telegana, which is is where most of the Indians in USA are actually from. Sorry for the long ass comment and some writing mishaps, I really lose my writing quality when I’m writing long comments.

I lived in Brampton for 25 years, so I would like to weigh in. We definitely have an extremely large indian population here. There are a lot of upsides and downsides to that. Some of my best friends are Indian immigrants, some of the people I hate the most are also indian immigrants. With any large group of people, you will always have examples of exceptionally nice people, but also horrible people. Something I noticed a lot recently is that newer immigrants are a lot less interested in learning about Canadian culture, norms, and integration. A lot of my longtime indian friends learnt the Canadian culture, Canadian norms, and wish to work with Canadians. They celebrate christmas, are respectful and polite, and are otherwise outstanding Canadian Citizens. A lot of the newer problems in Brampton can make it unattractive for others. Lots of loud music blaring, street racing waking you up at 4am in the morning, fireworks at 3am for no apparent reason, etc.

I'm a filipino PR. I used to work at Subway. My white canadian manager was nice and hiring whoever is qualified, even young students. Sadly, he was transferred and got replaced by a indian manager. Now he only hires indian. My fellow co-workers who were indians as well are mad at him. Not all indians are bad, but others are really abusing the system. I left that place. Best decision.

As someone who comes from latin-america and has been travelling and touristing in Canada for the last 10 + years, and finally decided to take the step to immigrate to Canada through the front door, I can safely say you guys are losing your amazing country. My permit was not approved and you know what, I am not even mad. I see a lot of these people leeching off your government and for some reason they get preferential treatment over people like me who come to do things honestly, work, study, and adding to the country instead leeching from it. Like I said, I first came to Canada a little over 10 years ago, and I am telling you this country is changing for the worse. One thing I also noticed is how back then I always used to hear the memes of Canadians being nice and always saying "sorry". Those memes no longer exist. I know it doesn't say much, but what I am trying to say here is: The quality of the Canadian citizen is 100% decreasing.

Lots of racists that seemingly.only have issues with people who are obviously immigrants vs white European immigrants. I'm white and work with brown people everyday. They're nice, hard working people. Many are willing to do jobs that people born here are unwilling to. They want the Canadian dream. And the people that own the homes and housing should appreciate how they have bid up the value of their homes rather than bash them.

I work in a typical corporate environment, where all conversations are filtered through a layer of professionalism, and just the other day my director made a joke about how he's glad we don't have Indians on our team. I grew up with integration that I LOVED, met people from all over the world. I've been working since I was 14 I've worked for people from all over the world , rented from different people since I was 18 and learned great things I can add to my construction or cooking repertoire that you could possibly couldn't learn in the West without diversity. BUT now we have a group of people coming here buying up businesses while only hiring people from their country buying up single homes putting up crammy 8 plexus, and only renting to people from their home country. If these were French people like my heritage is, I would be even more pissed because I could say something without being called a racist. These immigrants are coming here with one goal retribution against the English Empire for the past or some shit, I dont know, and they're taking it out on us Canadians. over 5 years I've collected proof so I feel very safe coming out now and talking about this because I have everything to back it up. Those single homes I was talking about half of them burned down and they use insurance fraud money add multiple loopholes to use government money along the way as well, that's damn taxpayer money building parts of these homes... I'm a concrete worker they do not let these walls set properly, they don't seal the windows and doors properly, everything's going to leak but because they only rent to people from their home country after 3 years they can take their name off the property and nobody and I mean nobody is going to report leaks because they have a tyrannical control over who they rent to.... I feel for that lady,I'm a home owner, but not for long, I lost my job due to a back injury, I went back to school for DZ and heavy equipment tickets, graduated 7 months ago and unable to find work, I spent all my savings, in 3 years. I saved $75,000 over my 40 years, just to lose it all to the economy we live in today. I eat once every other day. I will be homeless by winter. And I see all the immigrants wearing Gucci, driving nice cars, living the life Canadians deserve. I'm ready to burn this government to the ground. Could Canada Win a Trade War?\n Trump has waged Economic War on Canada in order to bring us to our knees so that we will eventually capitulate to become the 51st state.\n\n Had he come in a nice way, as a friend verses a foe, he would have had a lot more interest, especially from Alberta. \n\n Now that we are here, the question has to be asked, can we actually win a trade war that has probably been extensively war-gamed by the U.S.?\n\n Our politicians want us to go toe to toe with a 900 lb gorilla. The U.S. economy is at least 10 times our size and are less dependent on our trade than we are. We may give them a black eye but they could rip our arms and legs off. \n\n Retaliatory tariffs play into their hands. It’s the perfect excuse to increase the tax to 50 or 100%. So will we do the same? This would devastate us, achieving their goals.\n\n Canadians are already fighting back without the government making things worse. People are boycotting U.S. goods en masse and cancelling travel plans, etc. and this is already having a strong effect.\n\n Some say turn off the electricity and oil, but who will pay price? It will be the businesses and employees, not the politicians who are now trying to act tough. If we want this to turn into a real kinetic war, then turning off the taps may do it. \n\n We have seen countless times where politicians tell us what we want to hear, making us think they are heading is a certain direction, only to find they do the exact opposite. This proves you can not believe what career politicians say and have to go by what they do, or don’t do, instead. Yet now, they confidently declare that Canada will never become the 51st state. You can be nice on both sides, say nice things all day long. But when actions says other wise then it becomes a problem with any nation that promises peace, happy days, smiles and sunshine. If any nation is going to do what they say then work together as a world not a different solar system.

I used to work as an interpreter with Canadian Armed forces in Afghanistan.. Canadians are very nice people they fought American war for 20 years but now the US has turned its back to all the allies.what a shame to America.

We know why HE is doing this. He is pushing an imperialistic agenda, so he can be like those he admires. He's hoping that Canada will bend at the knee and give in so that he can claim Canada as a 51st state. But guess what? That won't happen. He's just doing himself and his country harm. He doesn't care about you, or me, or us as two countries that have always worked together. But we are setting up border security to keep American drugs, and weapons, and illegal migrants from coming into Canada. We're going to have to survive by reverting our trade to elsewhere, to depend on ourselves, to boycott U.S. products. We may be nice, but we are also tough. We love our society, our democracy, and our benefits. We won't give that up. Growing up, I lived in South Western Ontario, I used to go back and forth from Canada to the U.S. with no issues. Now, I'm sad to say, I won't ever be going to the U.S. again. Let's all hope for a brighter future for both countries.

Well idk my market is going up very nice today. Also we can make every Canadian goods at home so that there is no weight to his words in my eyes. I do say if Canada is doing all these measures though it would be nice to come to an agreement with Canada. To be friends with neighbors is always better than not being friends. So overall I'm kinda torn between it all. We don't need Canada to be honest but just because we don't need them does not mean we should not work with them. Very tuff situation at this moment.
