Employers should be aware of SINs before hiring people. I am also an immigrant, but my dad worked hard as a skilled worker to bring us here to Canada. I pay my duly taxes monthly and yearly. So I find it unfair when people work under the table. However, I've noticed that some students, who never attend their classes, end up in high positions with well-paying jobs at big companies. Meanwhile, I can't count how many refugees and immigrants are in low-income brackets, receiving 100% coverage for their medication and a monthly allowance from the government. In contrast, Canadian senior citizens still have to pay 20-30% of their medication costs and don't get the same privileges when it comes to their essentials. It frustrates me that the government makes our senior citizens suffer at retirement age, even after they've worked so hard for so many years. Yet they still struggle to pay for their own medication and necessities. I've encountered many rude refugees and people on income support from other countries who feel entitled to special treatment just because they are under government programs. Ironically, some of them come wearing luxury clothes and bags—like Gucci and Louis Vuitton. As I said, I am an immigrant too, but my heart goes out to those who have fully earned the support and benefits they deserve.

I'm surprised no liberal voters are calling this dude a "racist" because it involves Indians. He is literally interviewing both sides of this issue. In my opinion, if the liberal government stays in power, and more and more liberal voters use the racism card on people who point out these issues just to make themselves feel like a good person, more and more major cities in Canada will be filled of them who either entered as an international student, or as an asylum seeker. It is not racist to point out how in very few homes, most notably in Brampton, around 7 or more people live in one house. It is not racist to point out how these Indians need to learn to write and speak proper English. It is not racist to point out how they need to adapt to our civilized way of life here in Canada. It is not racist to point out the rise in crime done by people of Indian descent. It is not racist to point out how, coincidentally, the quality in Tim Hortons has dropped lately, when in a majority of them have workers of Indian descent, which are usually in major cities. How so? The liberal-imposed foreign worker plan, plus a little bit of corporate greed. It is not racist to point out that Indian "international students" are getting their food from food banks, which are supposed to be for the poor, and how some places of work only hire Indians, because they are run by Indians. Why is this discussion even about Indians? Because they make up HUGE majority of people coming to live in Canada. Matter of fact, this does not apply to Indians coming to Canada, but to whoever goes to live in another country. It does not take much out of you to at least adapt to the way of life in which ever country you go to. The conservative party sees this in a way that the liberals do not. Come back to this comment in another 10-20 years when the liberals are still in power. You'll see the difference.

I think what many of us are aiming for is a cleaning up of liberal policies... And stop immigration from ALL PLACES. Allow Canada to re-coop, reestablish and redevelop what it always was.

I worked since I was 14, (A lot of times evenings and weekends, several times, two jobs)! I am now 63, I got hurt at work! First I had to fight compensation for a year, ZERO $$$! Then I had to apply to get Disability Canada Pension because I can't physically work anymore.. (damaged back, head injury, I have to use a cane and knee braces to walk)! I spent my savings just surviving while being forced to fight for MY money from my own government for 5 years just to get a measly $300. a month! THAT'S IT! Luckily my spouse works , we paid off our house ten years ago! But, we still barely get by! Every person I speak to about my case with the government on the phone, can barely speak English and yell at me or are VERY impatient with me, because I can't understand THEM, they usually hang up! When I ask to please speak to someone IN Canada, they hang up, then I have to wait another hour to talk to someone else! (I went to 4 government funded agencies to see if I could possibly get a job working from home, because I have trouble getting out! All sent me somewhere else! One agency who is supposed to help disabled people in WPG, REES, the agent refused to talk to me or look me in the eye, * he got a supervisor to talk to me! Because he's Muslim and I'm Gay! They were continuously hostile/aggressive towards me without reason??? I volunteer at 2 different food banks , I've met TONS of people who have never worked a day in their lives, their family, parents, grandparents have never worked... EVER! Yet they have brand new trucks??? Still go to food banks? AND, several new Canadians who I've met, have never worked a day in Canada... Some with new cars??? Yet everyone else receives 10 times what I receive to live on??? I PAID TAXES ALL OF MY LIFE! We can't afford a car! Yet... I don't blame them! I would take it they offered! I blame our government (NDP, Libs, AND CONservatives) who don't give a crap about disabled and seniors in Canada! Or if you paid taxes all of your life , into a system that's supposed to help when you need it! ALL politicians in Canada just whore out their votes! I've volunteered for almost 40 years, also holding down jobs, helping others, I've never seen so may seniors and disabled people forced to access food banks and soup kitchens than the last few years! EVER! Disabled people have to constantly prove they are disabled enough to get kitchen scraps from sociopathic politicians who are over paid and under worked! Fees go up, taxes go up, housing goes up, property taxes go up, bus fairs go up, etc.. Services go WAY down! We can afford trillion$ in corporate welfare, but not help our own? I'm working full-time single women living pay cheque to pay cheque. I live in Vancouver and I can barely afford my basic living. My whole cheque goes into rent and rest in groceries. No saving, no fun activities. I can’t go out, eat out, if you really think about it, it's really depressing that you're working full-time still you're not able to live your life. Canada is going down and will lose good people because of affordability issues.

In the past few years, the Democrats have spent billions throughout all of our federal agencies via misappropriated US taxpayer funds that were earmarked for American citizens or American infrastructure and development, then used these misappropriated, taxpayer funds to provide housing, food, education, medical care, and in most cases, luxury hotels. Just within the past two weeks FEMA spent over $500 million to provide luxury hotels for illegal immigrants yet a few weeks ago they were still claiming that they didn’t have enough money to help American citizens who suffered catastrophic loss during recent hurricanes and wildfires. The simple fact that Democrats got more upset that Elon Musk bought Twitter than they are, that their own political party in government for the past four years, has literally been holding them at gunpoint and forcing them to pay taxes so that they could steal it or launder it into their own campaigns and pockets is literally disturbing! WTF!!!! If any of those other federal agencies are ran or funded the way U.S. AID were, with the massive corruption, misappropriation, fraud and theft of taxpayer funds, then I hope DODGE goes through an completely audits, every single federal agency in the United States. I earned my permanent resident status back in 2001 and joined US ARMY during war in terror and served for 8 years. While serving, I was deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan in the middle of hot zones, dodging grim reaper's radar for many, many times. When I finally earned my US citizenship through military, I seamlessly transitioned into law enforcement career in New York for past 10 years, which I encountered with many illegal criminals with rap sheets- which some makes you think why they are still wondering in the street instead of locked up in the jail, having their freedom taken away. What is funny is that many of these illegal criminals have such an entitled mindset that they are deserve to be here in US without permit do whatever they want and enjoying these unbelievable benefits that these sanctuary city/state provides that we, us citizens don't even get- and we are paying for it with our hard earned money. I think I earned my citizenship with blood and sweat, same goes to many immigrant hopefuls that came to U.S with true American dream. It is time to take back our country and I 100% support with Trump's decision on this.

If your in your 50's angry about migrants in Brampton and are still living their then you rank the same as them. Tim Hortons, Uber delivery, Uber Cabs, Petrol pumps I mean what is going on.\n\nRight now its getting to Canadians, and you need to understand that Canadians need these low skilled jobs for themselves too but employers are finding extremely cheap labour from other places to replace Canadians.\n\nSo if you ask me this move is good, it will surely hurt the skilled labour class too but its needed. Imagine have a million immigrants coming in with a country that has a population of 40 million.\n\nThe infrastructure comes to a stand still, housing is ruined, food inflation begins. \n\nHonestly thanks to Diploma mills, Asylum seekers and gangs from Punjab, its honestly gotten bad from the Indian perspective. Now add to this others coming in from Africa and South East Asia and you can see this country get worse honestly.\n\nThis isn't hate against anyone, its just facts.

Here in my little town in Australia's Top End, we have a genuine melting pot. Filipinos, Chinese, Nepalis and the list goes on. I am a 4th generation Canadian (european decent).\nMy ancestors came here and didn't try to change it into a colony of where they came from, they adapted to the Canadian culture that was apparant at the time.\nThey blended in quite quickly while maintaining there home country culture at home or at community centers.\nI have welcomed immigration my entire life and still do. I have many friends who are 3rd generation Indians who speak the language and know the culture just as i do.\nThey do not try to turn Canada into india, and in turn they are accepted and respected by all.\nThe young indian students coming to Canada have been exploited in india by promoting a back door into PR status through the international student program and in Canada by employers who take advantage of their fear of deportation.\nThe blame lies on the recruiting in India, the post seconday system in Canada, the employers like Tim Hortons, uber, skip the dishes and door dash who put profits over living standards.\n The majority of the blame goes to the govt of Canada for turning a blind eye to something that everyone saw but didnt talk about for fear of being labeled a racist.\nReturn immigration to 500,000 per year including refugees, students seeking to stay and all other groups and you will see all will go back to how it was 10 years ago.\nPeace and love.

So I understand why Canadians feel they way they do. Especially the ones born and raised here. I'm 31, was born here, and I often feel the same way everyone else does. The only problem that I see is that the issues that are in Canada are also in every other Western country. I'm concerned with the future, but I also know that throughout every generation, there are ups and downs. I'm willing to stick it out. I live outside of Toronto,I love the lack of natural disasters and access to water, and I still feel very safe. Although crime is up, it is nothing compared to the U.S. \n\nI'm actually living quite comfortably. Although my costs have gone up, I have made smart decisions in my life that allow me to live well. I own my own house, don't have car or credit card debt, and I only need to earn 40k a year to cover all of my bills. Every cent extra I earn goes to paying down my mortgage, gym, and golf once a week. \n\nThe question is, is it better l elsewhere? I don't know, but I am trying to be happy with what I have instead of what I could have had by being born 30 years too late. Ultimately, I would rather stay here work within the system to change it and continue to make smart decisions that put me ahead. Starting out all over again makes my stomach sick, and I love this country, despite it's flaws and its government, it has great people and beautiful nature. \n\nBest wishes to all of you other Canadians, and let's make it the Canada we want and deserve again.

I left Germany after a year working.\nReason:\n15%- Even though i learnt german, but still faced discrimanation sometimes due to colour. Due to discrimanation outsiders can never go up the ladder. In the USA, You would see many Indians as CEO, but in Germany its impossible.\n25% - Work is too slow. Many people remain on leave/holiday. Not just my office, bank and other gov work are also very slow.\n20% - Too many immigrants. its no more germany. school has almost 80% non german.\n10% - Dependency on trains, and trains are often delayed. Getting driving licence takes lot of time.\n5% - Cold weather\n5% - High taxes (but we get some benefits)\n5% - People are very closed. I wanted to help and talk to neighbour, but they were so cold to interact.\n5% - Away from home, never felt like home.\n5%- Doctor appointment, sply for kids is nightmare. \n5%- Drugs, beer, smokers everywhere. No culture.\n\nOthers find difficulty in finding house, but i got easily.\nNow some positive:\n\n50% - Too much time for yourself. But it goes in bringing grocery and housework.\n20% - Pure air and water... lot of greenery to go around.\n20% - connectivity and tourism to rest of europe.\n5% - Free schools, good open grounds.\n\n\nMy personal reason was spirituality is missing in Germany. I love india to be in a land where great sages and spiritual leaders stay. Materialistic gains will be lost a day, but spiritual gains continues with spirit.❤

Canada isn’t a free country compared to the United States where we still have freedom of all speech and the right to bear arms. If the United States goes any further left I will leave. Might be by the end of the year.

Is it possible the world in general has become a less enjoyable place to live in? Climatic changes, the rich getting richer, the poor getting poorer, governments not able to cope because they just don’t have the resources anymore, right wing movements popping up everywhere, democracy being challenged … the list goes on and on. Because Canadians are seeing their country disappear in front of their eyes. For a country with such a massive landmass, Canada's population is microscopic. If mass migration goes unchecked for just a few generations, Canada won't be Canada any more. The maple leaf will be replaced by a crescent moon... The same thing is happening all over western countries, and it is being done on purpose against the wishes of the majority. Mass migration from African and Middle Eastern countries is changing demographics at a frightening pace, and people are rightly concerned by that. It's completely reasonable and sensible for one to want to preserve one's culture and national identity. People have fought and died for thousands of years for such things. \n \nThe fact that so many cultures and nations exist around the world is one of the things that makes our planet interesting. It's why people travel. If I go to Japan, for instance, I want to feel the difference in the way of life, but if Japan suddenly opened its door to mass migration, I wouldn't any more. So Japan doesn't open its door to mass migration, and what would you know? Japan still resembles Japan.

Well the same happens in HK when HK government, which its citizens never voted for, welcomes thousands and thousands of mainland Chinese immigrants every year (who are very rich) for work, investment (money laundering) and university degrees and the rent goes up every year like crazy, and all they want is a HK passport so they can then move overseas, and they still shame and mock HK for fighting for democracy

Nothing is gonna change people absolutely nothing. Only when this country finally goes bankrupt from spending more money than they take in with these liberal policies! i am earning 100k per Year which is considered a good income in Canada and still cannot pay my rent and other expenses and i am living in Calgary which considered cheap this is Reality, 100k lets break down 40k goes into tax and i got almost 5k per month now if i buy a 500k home which will b not a home just an Old apartment so my mortgage will b 4k per month ? so Dream is over

What made Canada rich was the older generations, the country is still running on the steam of those previous generations. In general the entire west has gone SO far left that it's just not worth it to start a business and innovate when you know that all your profit will be taken from you in the form of taxes and given to the least productive of society which will collect welfare cheques. But if politicians don't enact these socialist policies then they won't get elected or re-elected. What goes up must come down I guess.

I’ve been there several times as telling me my house is worth hundreds of thousands more or we can say exaggerated by 30% or more then my house is on the market for a year which is nota big deal for an agent they have 40 other listings and access to more moneymakers , I’ve sold my last 2 homes personally within days or weeks which were reasonably priced not overpriced this made everyone happy .
