As an Indian, i should say that the Canadian politicians are brain dead or something. Over immigration will ruin any country. This is isn't any positive to Indian interest either. Now, the government is doing the same to secure business deals with India. Hindu Nationalism has spread its roots & conducts marches in Canada within the Indian Hindu areas like they do here in India and people have started performing river aartis as well (communal prayers to worship rivers) — all kinds of pernicious identitarianism is festering there. A ton of Indian immigrants now see Canada merely as a source to better life & resources, but relate to, & are patriotic towards India or assert their rawer religious Sikh or Hindu identity due to lack of any assimilatory pressure & absence of a well defined Canadian identity. As a Sikh, born and raised in the US, this is an opinion I've had since this KHALISTAN stuff began. We go to Canada if we miss India, because it's basically become MINI PUNJAB LOL. Another note. The Khalistan topic is all nonsense. I don't know why SO MANY CANADIAN BORN and AMERICAN BORN SIKHS support or push for this. IF YOU PLAN TO MOVE BACK TO KHALISTAN, for sure support it. Don't push an issue you would not commit to. Plus, no foreign born would comfortably move to KHALISTAN, if it existed, due to the lack of opportunities. My parents left India for the lack of opportunities (legally). They knew Punjab has no future, since the Indian nation shrunk it's state borders, and we become a LAND LOCKED state. If this LAND LOCKED COUNTRY were to be established, everything would be ridiculously expensive, and Khalistan would be lucky to become as "successful" as EXPENSIVE Switzerland. It's illogical to support Khalistan on an economic standpoint.

As an American, I am ignorant about Canada and its immigration policy, and so wonder how much stated in this video are lies due to racism, and how much is true? For example, the Indians who come to the US are vetted, are educated, and work hard. Since the 90s, most of the Indians who come to the US are not Punjabi Sikhs, nor are they Muslim. Punjabis came earlier, but since the tech boom, most who come are Hindus usually from Southern India. About 20% are also Christian. These Hindu and Christian Indians from Southern India are model minorities. Think of these kids who do well in the Spelling Bee. No crime, no trash, just educated hard working folks. Especially here where I am in San Jose, CA. So are these Canadians lying, or are the type of Indians who go to Canada worse? Those with fake diploomas or Sikhs claiming refugee status due to their religion and not being safe in Hindu India? Something is amiss bc how can these Indian immigrants be so different? If Canada is not vettung their immigrants why not? I also know that a coworker of mine who is from Southern India, his niece recently secured a visa to Canada and she is a Radiation Oncologist, an occupation Canada is in need of. As a Brampton raised kid, I lived there from 97' till about 2023, I'm caribbean and we have a large indian/muslim/hindu population too on our island. (Trinidad) and the issue with Brampton is: Indian people will gladly intergrade, but Canadian borns won't welcome it. Walk with me- I'll use food for an example. Every other grocery store is middle eastern/asian/african in Brampton and its becomes harder finding more western style food. I love international food, I cook it often but if you're used to burgers and pizza and only know how to make spaghetti it feels like a 'take over' These people want what they want and even though all these places are free for you to also enjoy they don't like it cause it's too 'foreign' to them. It doesn't mean there isnt still a No Frills or a Walmart or Metro, but because the african and halal store are closer and more frequent it seems like more of a convenience to others and not to you. When people say we're multi-cultural, they mean 'yeah he's brown or black but he keeps it to himself' They aren't going to go to that Sikh temple giving free food, and only go to the church at the beginning even though they're welcome to both. It's the same for Diwali and other things, white people dont care to be interested in those things, and just wonder why they get to have it at all. I do agree with that indian lady at the beginning though, with lax immigration you come in feeling like you don't need to do anything to assimilate. They're doing themselves a disservice by only helping themselves. I hate stereotypes being perpetuated onto people but like that Pakistani guy said too, you live in a bubble and you don't pay attention to that. You can go days without speaking english to someone. You can't immigrate somewhere and shut out everyone already there. I get you may not feel welcome by the white people like the ones in the beginning and so you dont mess with them, and its easy not to. But there needs to be openness with helping everyone benefit from multi-culturalism and not just some of us. There are issues with immigrants not wanting to go outside their bubble and for canadians not to want to either, It'll be hard to (with the current issues we're facing as a country) to actually blend together more.

I lived in Malton in the 1980s when the Sikhs arrived. We were naive in our approach to these newcomers. They bought homes and filled them with up to 25 people breaking property standards. They bought the local school and filled the classrooms with cots for new arrivals. Nothing was monitored. Local police worked tirelessly dealing with cultural differences. They demanded rights! I was refused service in one of their stores. Crime went up by 27%, and research revealed that 7% of students in Mississauga were psychopaths from exposure to war and violence! Then, an Indian friend told me that after Ghandi's daughter's assassination, they went from one village after another, robbing and killing in order to get out of India. Thus, the $5000 cookie jar reference. His car was stolen. Working at the birth registry office, he observed they changed their identity and falsified documents. My 13 year old daughter was thrown up against a wall, and a ceremonial knife was put to her throat. Rapes were happening at the high school. I should have called the police many times, and I deeply regret not stopping this intrusion into our Canadian culture. Hazel, the mayor the time at least, stopped the construction of monster homes. Their sense of supremacy was tangible. It's well past the time to deal with unregistered apts, finding true identities and turning to the Indians made victims of the ruthless greed to get the truth.

Indian's warned Canadians a long time ago. 90% of these students are Sikh from Punjab , with an radical ideology named khalistani. They will only hire their family members. Why blame india ?

This attracted their relatives to shift as well. This started to take a form of movement in Punjab, India to go settle in Canada. Canadian govt supported this, I don't why they wanted that. Now these guys rally your streets, don't obey rules. Guess what, Canadian Govt is protecting them from Indian Govt. Destroying relationship with Indian Govt just for them.

This isn't immigration and assimilation. This is invasion. I think if you come to Canada, you are no longer a Sikh, Muslim, Indian etc. You're Canadian. There shouldn't be sub-cultures inside Canada. We shouldn't see people's skin color. If anything, we are MORE obsessed with skin color than we were in the 90s.

I have watched this video and i just want to say that indian people from Hindu and sikh or any other community except muslims will respect canadian culture and rules of Canadian govt. They are hardworking. I also request people from the community as mentioned above, please respect the nation and their culture and don't try to make Canada to India.

It is Canadian Govt which is facilitating this. These immigrants are mostly Sikhs from Punjab. Many come with Refugee status, citing a fake persecution. Canadian government, with its own Hinduphobic agenda, tries to legitimise this persecution story to further its foreign Agenda.

I work with someone Sikh. He happens to live in Brampton. So what? He's a great guy and he works hard. He's probably first generation, and he's as Canadian as anyone else I know. Everything I'm reading here is exactly what people once said about Irish and Italians. Give everyone some time to learn what being Canadian is all about. For the record I'm white and I've lived all my life, but I don't live in Barampton. I'm also first generation in this country, but I get a pass because my parents came here from Scotland, not India. That's not fair.
