I feel like we live in India now not Canada.

Stop kowtowing to foreigners. There are way too many here already. My country does not look, sound or feel like CANADA anymore. Crisse de Trudeau, Singh et les Agents d'Immigration. CLOSE the colleges, then.

Haven’t people studied abroad in the past with no issue? Like exchange students ect? Why now are there all these expectations of staying afterwards? I feel bad that they were lied to by agencies in their home country, but their anger should be towards them (the people that lied to them) not the country they are a guest in. \n\nAlso, I haven’t researched this but, I wonder if they behave the same and make demands of other countries they study in, or if it’s just Canada they think they can walk all over and push around.

Canada seems like it's a country where it's still ok to be a white person. Here in the US or society is constantly bashing white people,and trying to make white people feel like they don't even deserve to exist.

I’m a Canadian nurse and I lived in the US for 10 years during my career. I did it when I was young to gain work experience and travel with friends. It gave me a lot of insight in how it feels to live in both countries. I’ve been a nurse and patient in both counties so I also know how it feels to work, live and be a resident in both. \n\nI cannot articulate enough how it has confirmed to me how fortunate I am to be Canadian. The perks to living in the US were very superficial and frivolous things that matter very little in the broad scheme of things,….which I see as more restaurant chains, cheaper restaurant food, more shopping options, etc. As a young person when I lived there,…those things seemed amazing but matter far less as I get older. \n\nWhen I lived there, I paid a fraction of the income taxes that I paid in Canada but it’s only short term gain for long term pain. The cost of health care, the amounts of gov funded benefits (disability, EI, pension, etc) in the US makes it well worth paying taxes to offset these things as in Canada. I have had cancer 3 times in 5 years and I’ve not paid a cent for treatment, scans, surgery, etc in Canada. My employer held my job for 2 years and I received long term disability of 70% of my yearly wages and my employer paid my full pension and benefits as I was off of work. After 2 years, my cancer returned and was deemed incurable so I will continue to receive this pay and benefits until I’m 65 and can retire as I can no longer work. I have no financial worries as I battle cancer. \n\nTo contrast,…my US employer was a world reknowned hospital that had excellent pay and benefits. Had I been working there when I was diagnosed with cancer, I would only have gotten full pay for 6 weeks until my sick time and vacation time was used up. Then I was eligible for a fraction of my income for 3 months, which would not be enough to live on. I would not have had my pension paid. After that, I’d receive no more pay and my employer would hold my job without pay for 6 months and then I’d be let go. My cancer required nearly 2 years off of work so after 5 months of this minimal pay, I’d have no income, no job and no benefits with a new pre existing condition to ensure that I’d have a snowballs chance in hell of getting future coverage. Meanwhile during that 5 months of some pay, I’d still need to pay huge costs of treatment despite having insurance but that would disappear after I was let go from my job. I’d have to return to work during my treatment just to afford to continue it. I have many US friends that had a similar cancer that worked throughout to cover basic cancer care while I was able to recuperate without working or fearing being unable to pay. There is nothing comparable to this when you are sick. It is everything!\n\nSadly, many of my American friends are very ill informed on how health care works in other countries and don’t see the shortcomings in their own. Ironically though, they are willing to argue it without proper information so I often find that bizarre. While lived there I felt as though I was in a bubble where the only news that I saw was US news. I saw no info or minimal about Canada in my whole time there,…aside from falsehoods about health care to scare people away from seeking change. “Canadians are all dying while waiting”, “they are all coming to the US for care”, “they pay 80% income tax” etc. All propaganda,…some from politicians or those that should know better. It was truthfully mind boggling to me how educated people could know so little about the world. It almost felt as though they heard so much propaganda about how terrible other places were while only having knowledge of the US, that it ensured that things would stay the same without anyone wanting beneficial changes to dysfunctional policies (like health care, cost of meds, lack of gun regulations, etc). It’s very bizarre.

Why are they still here? Pack them home immediately. Canada has a lot of other issues to take care of. These guys come into the country under false pretext. The quality of Canada is absolutely going down the drain. Crime is going up, too. Is this what Canada wants? Is this what Canada will look like in the future? The real Canadians don''t feel like staying in Canada anymore with such poor quality of immigrants brought into the country by the Liberal-NDP knot.

Okay the lady is saying government should give them the opportunity. These guys already here too many and they don't respect laws which you can see when you go to Brampton. And they want more and more of their people here so they can feel like their back home. But there is problem which is people from other cultures don't like more Punjabis here. And the lady is saying government should give them jobs. There are no jobs and they don't get it. It is like this there is one pizza and that is for four people and now ten people are waiting to eat that pizza. There are no jobs here because Canada is not like US industrialized and tons of companies. So what will happen when tons of you won't get job then you will go and put a camp to live and the expenses would come on tax payers if you become PR because you will claim social assistance and then hospital have to treat you. Means the resources would be limited. So let that pizza for four people. India is very good country good weather everything just build your country and have less kids so they don't have to worry in future for jobs.

Well duh. Is this even a question? My kid is still in school but knows he has no future in Canada anymore. I know I can't stay once I retire either. My other kid just hates it here and wants to leave. That's 3/4 of just one family who won't be staying. We didn't feel like this 10 years ago. Trudeau has destroyed the futures of most Canadians.

Everything is expensive in Canada I feel like they’re going to charge me for breathing at this point. It’s unliveable and quite depressing to be honest.

Also imagine that people from other countries goes to India and eat beef would u gonna let them go or take them in the jail well same thing goes to here so cop is on right and the dude is just laughing bec he thinks he achieved something big on that day just by getting his cultural knife and yes I am also Indian live in Canada since 2014 and I feel like I am with the cop not with the dude cop is doing his job so there no doubt if u gonna sue the cop for that then ur just stupid

When ur in other countries as a immigrant or ur basically a guest so follow the country law that ur immigrant in I feel like even tho I am from India live in Canada since 2014 I feel like I have to follow the rule of Canada I mean I am Canadian citizen now but still I can do my culture things too but at same time when other countries says no knifes in any public places or guns without any license even tho it’s part of ur religion it’s the rule u need to follow ur culture doesn’t work in other countries only work if it’s safe otherwise there nothing much u can do. My favourite festival from my country is Diwali and when I am in Canada i don’t use dangerous firework I only use smaller fire worker but I don’t use rockets and etc that can cause fires bec I am in Canada doesn’t mean I have don’t have to follow their laws laws r meant to keep people safe so i feel like the cop is on the right bec he doing his duty and following his own country law

As a South Asian, I agree 100% Brampton is not multicultural , it feels like India/Pakistan. Canada is a great country and millions of people from around the world would come here if given a chance. It is up to the Canadian government to control the numbers. As a brown person, I dont want Canada to become India.

Hey, have you noticed that even though there are a lot of Filipinos in Canada, they don't seem to get as much attention as other groups? I mean, they're the third largest nationality here, but it's like they're not really seen or heard. I wonder if anyone else feels the same way.

The problem of feeling locals as immigrants in their own country is due to addiction of drugs. So question that first. Secondly, immigrants are back bone for Canadian economy. So if we live in Canada that means we are paying taxes in our high paying jobs like physicians, IT software or establishing stores. So better not to cry on immigrants, and get a life!

I don't get it. It was a unfortunate and tragic accident. He didn't cause the accident on purpose. He owned up to it. Pleaded guilty. I get a mistake was made. But i don't get is how him being deported prevents anything, and or remedies anything. The terrorst, omar khadar, who killed allied soldiers lives in Canada with a $10 million payout. Illegal aliens with no documentation? Thats fine too. The man suffered enough and will live with his mistake for the rest of his life. I just don't understand it. It feels like punitive punishment for unintended and accidental consequences.

Yes I was born and raised in Canada and just moved to Alberta in a small brand new community and it's all Indian culture with all the houses worth anywhere from 1 to 4 million dollars and I'm the minority living and renting a basement Suite LOL. Im an Indian from the state of Kerala. In my class from college nearly 20 of them came to study in Canada. Believe me these people who come are not that academically good the fun fact is that the academically brighter ones never went abroad all of them got a decent job in India itself.. I'm not saying that all of them coming are trash my ex gf now in Hamilton was extremely bright and got a decent job there..the basic issue is that Canadian government must have strict standards for foreign students Australia has it. As an Indian I feel your frustration feeling like stranger in your nation is very sad. ? Fellow Indians seeing this there is Malayalam saying that when you got to a land where they eat vipers you must eat it's middle portion. So try to become a Canadian don't turn Canada to India.

Too many immigrants. My family has been in Canada, from England/Ireland, since the 1700s quite literally with a plow in the ground. We have built this country up and into what it is . \n…. If you are on vacation in Canada and meet a business owner and he likes you and want to hire you full time for what ever job. Immigration will say no to that. Not the right education, not the right age. not the right what ever. The business owner will only be able to hire you for max 3 years. Then you will returned to your own country. I came here from India to Canada to research in machine learning at a top lab. Every single tim horton has an Indian PR holder who has never been to college. I feel like I am back in India lol. Solo's hundreds of billions of dollars that the government's going to take back and taxes from us all draw the cost of housing through the roof. Instead of at the time redirecting half of those two it was 500 billion take a half of that investment in putting it into infrastructure technology innovation for industries. Our education systems from kindergarten through to postsecondary education and spending it on the Canadians that were here. We've turned our post-secondary institutions in Canada into diploma Mills where you know your VA and your you know postgraduate degrees or you know they're worthless. However the government and the education system grew into a very profitable industry grinding out worthless degree after worthless degree for foreign students who thought when they got these degrees with 50% of Canadians have. People have to realize that post-secondary education is a big business so they're going to sell you a dream that's going to cost you a lot of money what I suggest is when YouTubers want to do something on Canada do some proper research let people know that we really do have quality post-secondary education system but you have to look at when you graduate those jobs going to be there to pay that large salary does White collar jobs are disappearing almost gone I purchase an app for my company with small company about 10 employees this inexpensive app alone has taken my office staff from 7: to 2: I have a 10 Red seal tradesman tradeswomen these 10 highly skilled trades people earn between 125 and 145,000 a year in gross salary and I need five more of these highly skilled people and I can't find them cuz everybody's running in to get a useless postgraduate degree. I do find it slightly offensive that a lot of new immigrants new Canadians immigrate to Canada to purely exploit it for its wealth Canada should be looked at as a place to come put your hard work in the struggles the ups and downs? and look at it as your home instead of you know a piggy bank but people are going to leave and there's a long line up to get in I've seen in my 40 year career you know three major reps and three major downs. What's happening in Canada's economy and the economies around the world it's all the same the US economy's doing quite well and talked to last couple of weeks friends that have invested their and families have been there long-term at present the United States is building a war economy so there's money pouring into that effort it does have a booming you know Hi-Tech boom as well however the tech boom is offshore with American companies and it's taking place in a part of the world that no one would think it would take place so if your graduate in the tech industry go online do a little research you'll find out where it is the USA is building a huge chip factories I think they just poured in 70 or 80 billion dollars we're in a transitioning economy don't get discouraged put your head into it do your homework find out where these new jobs are coming from which jobs are not going to be here. Traditional White collar you know middle management upper management jobs they've been gone for years everyone's think of themselves as an independent contractor. Also if you're a millennial or was a gen z person there's going to be a massive transfer of wealth over the next 20 to 30 years as baby boomers simply die off and then you guys are going to inherit their money I live in any one of the g7 economies I just got to find your niece with your qualifications and get in there and innovate because there's not one g7 country that significantly doing better than anyone else another interesting part of the world is East Africa I'm retiring there in 5 years I've already done my homework I've already got partners I've already started to train up people there in East Africa Canada and those parts of the world they have East Africa's great basic infrastructure so now that they've got their first level base of infrastructure a second economy is built off at the service that basic infrastructure that basic infrastructure allows for that second layer a bigger layer of investment you know and that's where the real money is for mid-level investors and you know highly educated Young westerners have got 10 years into their respective careers and these are also very beautiful countries you know so you can if you got family in Canada family in Europe India Asia you know you can start building networks collaborate on projects you know in these you know emerging economies you know mid-level economies but that's you know a good 20-year grind to get good at your career and build your confidence to go into these places and get these things done also you know it's a great life adventure but never expect just because you have an advanced degree that the door even come knocking down your door to employ you if you're going to wait for the opportunity to come to you you're going to be waiting forever you got to take your advanced degrees get out there and hustle and work hard man Canada's doing fine about four or five years it's you know it's going to take off next level and it's going to boom for 40 years and it's never going to get any cheaper in g7 countries Amy's emerging economies his pockets around the world they're starting to come up to in the window to get into these emerging economies with your advanced degrees it's closing if you don't make it if you don't start looking at it in the next 5 years your degrees are going to be gone useless and if you do decide to put your career in these emerging economies like Asia South America Central America Africa do it for the right reasons not just for money we don't want to make the same mistakes as like the industrial Revolution where a few people get rich and the people in that country you know don't get anything have respect for these countries employ their people and you have to get into these places before all the big corporations get set up there cuz they're they're going there Canada's a great place as a great time free medical system and I urge anybody that's feeling down or depressed in Canada you know to go get some therapy join some clubs talk to people don't get down and mostly don't you know don't give up on yourself you guys made it through you know Elite post-secondary education system and if you can if you can do that I mean you can you can do anything a lot of hard work ahead truly best of luck to all you guys

Canada has too many people and students from India. It seems to me they didn't come here to be Canadians. They're here to make the country a platform for thier politics and religion. I for one, am sick of walkiing through my old neighbourhood and feeling like I am living in someone else's country and not my own. Make Canada Canadian Again. If the students don't like it, they can return to the country of their origin.\n\nNo! I don't believe the Indian students in PEI should stay in Canada. Mass illegal immigration? How do you know that a country is broken and has a dark future? When you feel as a minority!!!!! My family has lived in Canada since 1874 and it feels like we live in India.

i lived in Canada most of my life, visited Singapore twice, in my view it is the closest thing to a utopia in the world. I am curious to learn your perspectives on why you would want to leave Singapore and come to Canada, because though Canada is a developed country, it feels like a third world country a lot of the time due to all reasons you mentioned above.

R.I.P Good Ol' Brampton ! Tons of Fake Students with no intention to study or go back to their home country. Colleges in GTA and Halton/Niagara region are making money like crazy! Crime rate is sky rocketing, car jacking and stealing, and forced home entries and thefts are going crazy!! Thousands of fake students are committing crimes and threatening Canadians! Few other thousands stole tons of jobs from the real Canadians and high school students already! Even Niagara and Thorold / Wellend is screwed up and getting worst everyday by the same people! The Blame goes to Liberals & Justin T. First of all, send back all the fake students back to their country of origin! You'll solve more then 50% of the problem! I feel sorry for Canada already and liberals seems like not worried at all. Waiting for Conservatives so bad to come in power and deal with this already messed up issue otherwise, we all witnessed how REAL Canada and Ontario used to be till 2010 or so ... but not anymore. Thousands of people are already planning to move to Europe, Middle East, Australia, New Zealand already or already fled!

I just met a couple from Canada. They see the flaws but won't move to the US. It's also expensive to live here but you have to pay for other expenses like health care out of pocket. They don't want to live somewhere that every nut job can have guns, where schools are failing to teach basics and are not safe places for kids. I feel like many Americans will point out the splinter in the eye of other countries, and yet ignore the rafter in America's eye. People from other countries don't fear America because it has the most powerful military, they fear it because insanity continues to grow and common sense continues to die.

As a Pakistani immigrant, I worked on my accent, cultural education. I have almost no Pakistani or Indian friends, for the very reason that I came here for what Canada is and what it has to offer. To integrate. I have a hard time with folks whatever their nationality, but who are huddled around more of themselves all for the reason of familiarity and comfort. They forget how much there is to learn. \n\nToronto is starting to feel like Missisagua too now. Go train is having issues with all the Uber drivers lugging their ebikes on the train.

Went to canada in 2005 ..... completed my masters in wireless....got honors...worked legally for 5 years ....applied for PR...with all legal.papers ....but got rejected and never given a reason..i felt so bad...and moved back to my home country (India )....worked in many major companies and became an expert in my field....travelled around the world happily..earnin and leisure...im happy canada rejected me...though the country is beautiful...it is makes everyone feel like a labor worker.....i feel privileged out of canada....God always gives best to good and honest people...

Coming from the UK, it's laughable seeing white people of European ancestry claiming Canada is 'their country'. Tell that to the indigenous peoples that were displaced as a result of colonisation. They've got the real right to say they feel like strangers in their own land.

The last time I went to Canada, the airport was so full of Indians. Truly didn't even feel like I was in North America at all.

I’m an expatriate, currently in Malaysia. Honestly, I feel like it’s a heaven. Paying $600 per month for a 1550 sqft 3 beds big apartment and having 2 bunnies ?? as our pet. Maintaining a BMW 5 series car. I roughly make $110k-$120k a year and my overall expense in Malaysia about $36-40k yearly and having a lavished life. Every month me and my wife go for trip as it has so many beautiful places including stunning islands and highlands. The only issue is here they don’t provide PR or citizenship, however it’s a truly heaven if you have a solid visa status. I was planning to move to Canada but after watching the video I’ve been disappointed and I’m afraid to visit Canada. What do you think about moving to US?

28-year-old Female Sydneysider from Australia here. Apologise in advance for the long post and rambling.\n\n\nNot sure if it is just me, so please correct me if I am wrong. Just probably now too overly 'realistically too cynical'. So please take my input with a grain of salt. 

For context’ sake, for most of my adulthood I have always been poor & I am born with special health needs (E.g. disabilities).
\n\n\nSometimes on forums we are often contrasted to Canada, for some reason. Both Canada and Australia have remarkably similar problems with a different coat of paint. Sydney, for instance, has always been high up in the list of the cities with the highest cost of living in the world. Usually within the top 10-20. 

COVID-19 obviously made this issue clearer in some circumstances because we couldn't 'work' at all. Unless you were an essential service worker, to mentally block out personal and local difficulties.\n\n\nWe still have not recovered from that 2–3 years global shutdown. The only reason I was allowed to work for a period was because I work for the animal industry and aid in animal welfare. 

I still lost my job due to COVID-19 regardless and knew I would never get a decent job again. Merely just the last poor sod on the boat to be thrown off. 

Could not become a vet nurse despite working very hard. Just because no one wants to give me '2-years permanent paid experience’ to be taken seriously. 

At the same time, way too many employers will happily take 2+ years of veterinary students volunteering at their vet clinic. With the vague promise of a permanent job.

Which, of course, never happens, then say we are being too demanding or spoilt for politely asking for said job.\n\n\nHow are we supposed to pay off our student debt if any financial service expects us to have a per meant job to pay anything off??

 No, they do not want to train nor help you. They just want free labour, then kick you out once your time is up. All my jobs have been casual, and my animal industry has already become heavily casual based ages ago. Permanent job is like looking for a magical unicorn.\n\n\nSo, even if you and your relatives lived in the way outer suburbs of Sydney for decades, being typically considered roughly lower-middle socio-economic families. 

The younger adults and kids all know and have been aware for years, they have no future at all due to having an inflated cost of living. Sugar-coating it, saying it might go in a positive direction, sounds like a blatant lie. We all know it is a lie.\n\n\nNowadays, in contrast to the late nineties and early 2000s when I was just a tiny naive kid that didn't know any better. There seems to be a more jarring split between the income brackets of what the country assumes who is poor, middle class or rich today. 

\n\nBy today's standards, my family is no longer even considered close to the very lower end of the middle class if you were reaching hard. We are considered 'poor' just because my parents do not earn roughly $50,000 — $150,000 AUD a year on their own in 2023. Wouldn’t want any kid to be born in a world where there are no safe guarantees for their future if their guardian unexpectedly passes away or can longer care for them. 

When something does not change within roughly 5–10 years, it is more than simply just valid for us to feel like we cannot fix what has been broken.

I feel bad for Canadians.. we don't have immigrants in India but it's still difficult with inflation going on.. i hope a better PM is elected and Canada flourishes like before

There are some valid points in the video. However, I didn't get it when you said there are people here who don't look Canadian and don't feel Canadian. Punjabi Sikhs from India have been part of Canada since the early 1900s, and alot more came in the 1970s.... So the sikhs have been part of Canada for a long time... Now, coming back to immigration point, blame the federal govt. and not the people.... I have alot points on why Indian people live in Brampton but..... I feel like it would easy to explain in a face to face conversation.

Video titles like this are so stupid. Especially when in the video itself it speaks to the vacancy rate. Why is rent so high? Because the vacancy rate is so low which proves that A LOT of people want to live in Canada. The video itself speaks to NIMBYism and municipal government’s slow reaction to accommodate construction. The only thing the Feds did is to allow more people that want to be Canadians to have a chance. Low wages and the high cost of products are the fault of greedy corporations. Those people leaving and can no longer stay in Canada is the result of natural selection. I get that everyone is struggling, and feel that we need someone to blame. Since we can’t control our neighbours that stop progress and the corporations that gouge us, as a democracy, we go after what we do control- our government- even if the problem isn’t really of their creation. This issue of affordability is happening all over the world. Corporations and those who run them disproportionately keep all the money. But that doesn’t mean that Canada isn’t a great place to live and raise a family. It’s a huge country. The only thing the Feds can do is incentivize companies to set up shop in less desirable places and eleviate demand off of Vancouver and Toronto (the usual suspects and source for all those rental shortage b-rolls). Then, the neighbours in Moose Jaw will start complaining that their town is changing too fast.

The crazy thing is that some Canadians still have faith in Trudeau's party or just have too much trust in the government that they can turn this around. I want to see this country prosper but every few months I just keep on seeing new policies that the current government makes that just doesn't make sense.\n\nFew things to mention\n- No more investment in more roads by the federal government (I understand they want essentially to have citizens use cars less but they haven't provided a plan on how that money would be invested? I have yet to see trains being invested to connect cities such as High speed rail?)\n- Increased carbon taxes (most premiers were against this but they negged it on)\n- proposal and voting for Increasing taxes on capital gains (impact business that invest in Canada)\n- This is a positive thing but also happened because they polls went to the dump (increased investment in housing) and then decrease foreign student admission for future years ( I think this is where liberals say they have hope, but it's at a point where they messed it up and now are trying to fix it to make it look like they are fixing someone else's mess\n- The government is also just adding more policies we can't afford such as Dental plans for certain incomes, food in schools while the free health care doesn't really feel worth the taxes when the quality is not there. ( This is how they want to be the good guys when the conservatives need to cut costs to help resolve this mess)\n\nThe liberals are kind of like that guy in the family that takes a loan, pockets some money for corruption, then gives money away to charities saying I'm the good guy, and then doesn't know how to pay the loan back so asks for their family to help fund the debt.

start a Canada call center in Rwanda for black asylum seekers. \nstart a Canada call center in Mauritius for white asylum seekers. \nGive them 5 years work permit and salary range of those countries, not Canada salary range. \nso they can work and live peacefully and after 5 years they can figure out where to move or stay there if they like. \nthese people will feel SAFE and Secure too to work for CANADA CALL CENTER which is in Rwanda and Mauritius. Australian here - feels like we're 2 steps behind Canada

I am all for immigrations, but why do Indians and Chinese make up for like 85% of immigration (according to what I saw). \nAs a Japanese international, I feel Canada needs to mix it up.

Canada feels like its becoming like Great Britain, an absoulte nightmare to live and have any hope! I thought about coming to beautiful Canada as had fond memories back in 2004 but it seems like most things after 2008 crash most countries are becoming a nightmare to have a decent lifestyle! Im looking at Australia for a country that offers a decent wage and lifestyle! Only problem is on the other side of the Planet from my connections! Don't move to the UK as its becoming an absoulte nightmare to live and have a basic lifestyle especially in London!
