When I couldn't even invite close relatives to visit, and with no strong reason for denial but the only supposed trend by other visitors to stay their visit, I felt really disappointed and even wrote the Federal Minister of Immigration back then. That was over 10 years ago. Around the same time, I saw whole families from South Asian countries coming. And then I saw more, and then more. Older people pop up in family neighbourhoods. Then I asked why, what's going on here? I'm also sure that there has been a very biased immigration process throughout.

The Ford EV one of my friends drive was made in Mexico. Another friend told me that her refrigerator and tv was made in Mexico as well. So, I think the general population is (including myself) a little ignorant about where the household items we use everyday come from. It's not just avocados, tomatoes, beer, and tequila and immigrants arriving from the southern border. As for Canada, we import most of our gas from there, as well as, precious metals. While it might cost $20B to deport illegal immigrants, as of right now there are estimates between $150B and $450B a year of taxpayer money to keep them in the country. So even if you are not good at math, I'd prefer to spend $20B on every 1M, to stop wasting every year $150B. \nYour biases show a lot!

The figure the presenter quoted at 5.50minutes, deporting 1 million could cost 20 billion dollars. That works out at 20,000 US$ each. It would be easier to offer them 10,000US$ each to go. 90% would go and you would avoid untold problems. Also it would be cheaper. I don't suppose this will happen because Trumps intent is to be anti immigrant, rather than ant immigration.

So for those with partners who are undocumented, you can expect one day that partner simply won't return home. Prepare for the worst. It is now a reality. Your partner leaves the house, goes to work at a factory or whatever job and the location gets raided. Even if that person is latino and 'legal', it will take time to sort out the confusion. That person may not be carrying documents showing permanent residency. It won't matter. Once you're on a truck, headed to some undisclosed location as an 'illegal', that's it. The drama doesn't stop there...Now the partner left behind may not have income. That 'illegal' may have been the only source of income in the household. The USA is a safe third country. As a result, we are not supposed to be taking in ANY refugees from that country so why does this subject even come up ?
