I'm a Canadian living in the USA. I want to fly my Canadian flag, but the Americans will take that as our house wants Canada as a 51st state. It will never happen!

As an American, I just want my fellow Americans to know that even Canadians don’t want Justin Trudeau. The guy’s like a malfunctioning AI chatbot—spitting out pre-programmed nonsense nobody asked for while the crowd collectively checks their watches. He’s the political version of a participation trophy: loud, useless, and only still around because no one’s taken out the trash yet. Watching him talk smack to cameras is like watching a mime in a hurricane—pointless, painful, and embarrassing for everyone involved.

As an American with Canadian ancestors I am so ashamed of what my government is doing. I wish I could go back to my roots. Canada and Mexico as well are us, North Americans. We should be negotiating any disagreements we have as adults. Oh yeah I didn't vote for Trump. I mean do I look nuts?

Had a very good run at Costco today March 4. Bought all local, Canadian, Chinese and Moroccan products. - Not a single American made product. Since American want to buy American so badly, the stores can return American stuff back to the USA.

Trudeau already said this nonsense last month. Virtually the same tariffs. Canadian here, I just feel really bad for the normal Americans who didn't vote for this orange clown who seems hellbent on making their lives miserable. We don't hold it against you, and this is a war with your government, not the people. My grandpa fought side by side with Americans in WW2, and gave his life to stop fascist idiots like Trump. History can't, and won't repeat itself. I'm American and I'm proud of Canadians for standing up to my stupid ass government. My government doesn't speak for me. I suppose no countries government actually speaks for it's citizens.

As an American Autoworker, this sucks. I understand both standpoints. I just hope that Canadians understand that not all Americans are onboard with what our President is doing. A lot are, not all. \nBooing each other’s national anthem at sporting events knowing this isn’t what’s supposed to happen between neighbors, is hard to fathom. It sucks. No matter what your views are, it sucks.

Or you can just sign up to be the 51st state of the US. You would become the largest state in the US area wise, but not population wise. You also could vote in American elections. Many Canadians would have voted for Trump by the way if they could have.

As a Canadian I am shocked that very few Americans seem to care at what Trump is doing to their country. It's not the tariffs on all of the US's former allies but that he has dumped its allies to appease Trumps good friend Putin. I am looking at dismay watching the US go from being the leader of the free world to just another dictatorship run by billionaires, America is Russia. But the imbalance has to stop.\n\nSame with Mexico, trading balance with Mexico is almost $200 billion in favor of Mexico. The imbalance has to stop. \n\nThe US economy is bleeding by trading with allies and partners, it’s fighting for its financial wellbeing. With tariffs being an import tax set up to deter local business from buying outside the country, then why put tariffs on american goods save for the 25% that goes directly to the Canadian government ? When we could keep prices down for our businesses and imports, it just seens to bump prices up for the microcosm of businesses and puts money in the hands of our federal government, but directly takes money out of contractors,businesses and so on....\nIf there are no contracts for instance with energy flowing to NY, why not bump the price 5% or 10 % ....

I am a canadian and half my family live in the US... we are not enemies but I am not alone in fearing what America is becoming and the direction it is taking in trade , geo politics and governing philosophy. \nthe people behind project 2025 are not rational old conservatives harking back to a by gone era, they are christian fundementalists enacting a plan to bring about the transformation of the US into a full blown christian theocracy.
