As an Indian citizen, I can clearly understand why do visas are rejected. If you give visit visa they will disappear in that country and live there.

India is a big country. Indians in America are the highest earning ethnic group for good reason. Their education and employment backs it up. They rank countries not only based on the size of their economies but also on the behavior of their people. Palki believes India is a superpower, but for the West, it is seen as a developing country with many people lacking proper behavior, ethics, and hygiene. Indian media needs to understand that respect is earned, not demanded or forced. Many Indians I have met in foreign countries tend to boast about their homeland while choosing to live in a developed country without fully integrating into the local culture. This plays a significant role in the rankings.

The weak passport and appeal is also affecting Indians who live as residents in some of these countries, where many internal visa services are now being discontinued for Indians.

Biggest obstacle for Indians is lack of respect for foreign land laws. For last 6 decades one can easily witness how careless and carefree Indians live in their own country. Palkhi as much as I like watching your news your views here need to address real issues. I am a proud Indian who has lived in the UK for over 50 years. However I have to say whilst there are a lot of highly skilled Indian immigrants on work visas who contribute immensely to this country. however we now have a huge community of Indians those who have come over on illegal documents or on holiday visas and then never go back. They end up working in menial jobs or not working at all and perhaps this is an issue India needs to address. Sadly these immigrants will never be an economically contributing asset to this country or any other country and I am not surprised that the visa rate rejection is so high.

Being a NRI living in the UK i have noticed a lot of Indians come over on temporary visas and end up staying illegally. And this practice is not just exclusive to the uk, i am sure it happens to many more countries where Indian people go. And also many Indian s to survive overseas will end up doing illegal things to survive. This could be a reason behind the spike in visa rejections

People coming from some of the states in India such as Haryana, Gujrat, Punjab should be banned or scrutinized from traveling abroad, their only purpose to travel is to put refugee in other country and stay in other country illegally. There are many people who don't have proper documentation and also have fake documents, these people affects other genuine people who want to travel. Also the young people who just studied their intermediate or 12th class should also be banned from travel from the above mentioned states to travel abroad for studies. Moreover, People from these states don't know their manners in other country and don't know how to live or stay as per the culture of other country and fail to follow the basic manners and rules. I hate to say it but this is the truth.

Take, for example, 200 people come from other countries and do nonsense in India. Will we allow them ? The problem is fear that Indians will travel to the West and not go back. Not just Indians, but Africans, South Americans and many Asian countries do the same. I've lived in the US for 55 years. There was an Indian music troop that came to the US to perform, maybe 20 people, including singers, musicians, comedians etc. After their tour in the US, half of them did not return to India. They figured they can make a better living in the US and live here as an illegal immigrant. This is too common. The next time when a troop of musicians want a US visa, chances are the immigration office will think twice about approving a visa. I can travel anywhere with a US passport because people know that Americans will return back to the US.

as an NRI who lived in US, UK, and Canada, I can tell you that the so called developed nations are over hyped. Yes, there are so many things that are better in these countries compared to india, but all these countries lack one thing. Respect towards fellow human beings. I lived in several states in India, we have problems, but nothing compared to these countries. Indians don't belong outside of india. Don't go to any country out side of iindia...you are not welcome. I came back to india and I am living peacefully.

Other than behavioural attitude it depends upon the how the country projects the image to the outside world. \n\nSecond reason, more the people settling abroad more the rejection. We, Indians, put ourselves down.\n\nThey are;\n1) Out of 100 Indiands traveled abroad either for tourism or business, only 50 returns home, and the rest try to find jobs to live there.\n\n2) Many Indians forge documents or produce fake documents to get visas.\n\n3) Where the Indians go, they bring pan and pan parag items and spit sll over the place, especially the North Indians. South Indians are much better.\n\n4) We, Indians, can go any lower to get a job abroad at low pay. So, we put our own grades down.\n\nThere are numerous examples I know of. Let me cite a few below.\n\n1) In one of the Western countries, a few years ago, a real Punjabi brother and sister who staged fake a marriage, got a marriage certificate, and other documents only to migrate there. The government eventually found put and deported them.\n\n2) Canada deported a few hundred Gujarati students when the US border security found them not speaking in English. On investigation, it was found that they all came with fake IELTS certificate.\n\nThere are many incidents we get to witness the day after the day. So, we can't blame other countries. It's us who made us very cheap in the international market. Because of those Indians, the entire innocent, honest, and talented Indians community is affected.

For Indians, there are 2 key reasons. I travel so much and live away, so I can say this- 1. The growing jealousy on India and the fact most western countries do not want Indians. China is doing it behind the back wherever they can. The second and equally important is the our behavior and arrogance as Indians when we travel and when we stay abroad. We really irritate and upset people around us.

Indians are peddled this dream that everything outside is a heaven since early childhood. They see pictures of skyscrapers in Manhattan, London and Frankfurt and think everyone is living like that outside. These people are further brainwashed by immigration agencies and disguised human traffickers to put lakhs or even crores on the line for just going outside. They sell their lands, properties and other assets just to be able to go out pursuing a misleading dream.\n\nThis is a problem especially in states like Punjab, Gujarat, Telangana, Andhra and Kerala, where most of the people still believe that it's better living outside than inside. These are not people who don't have anything in India but rather well-to-do families that have homes and assets and families in the country. \n\nThen comes the added Western bias and negative media image through propaganda. \n\nIndia has much work to do - if the country keeps complaining, nothing will get done.

I am an Indian living in New Zealand, actually one of the biggest reason is the Visa scams Indians do especially from few states which has caused this issue. Also, the kind of people coming into the country, their no sense of comprehension towards the Local laws, culture and traditions.

Being a proud Indian and living in NZ from a decade I can say it's not just the equality.\nThe amount of frauds we do in our visa application just to enter a foreign land, I can speak on behalf of NZ, makes it difficult for the next batch of applications coming from that region.\nI won't label that with racism because every country has the right to protect its borders. NZ, Aus in particular has a strong and proud Indian diaspora with more and more Indians successfully coming in every year. But we India as a large population has one of the most number of applications which also increases the chancesl of rejection.

India's over population is the biggest concern to the whole world. India should simply merge with Australia, USA, UK, Canada and NEW zealand. So many indians are dying to migrate to these counties. So many indians do not want to live in india due to lack of quality of life, corruption, pollution and over population. If india merges with these countries they can move half of the indian population to these countries and the quality of life in India will improve.

I live in Canada. A citizen now, love this country but India is and will always be a home. Canada is facing hard times currently, which is being faced by every country now and then but even the cause root of all these problems Canada is facing right now is coming from somehow from India. The most disruptive and disturbing people are here from India only with no civic sense. They come here and do not value the Canadian culture at all. They do all sort of illegal activities and try to do jugaad in everything, from which we escaped from India. Even on political grounds, the man who somehow messed up everything was under the influence and pressure of the man having Indian roots. I love India without a doubt but we can’t deny the real facts why Indians are being hated everywhere. But there, where people don’t know us personally, we get judgemental eyes because of our colour and we know why, it’s not all of us, but still majority of us have destroyed the image of India and yes Indians deserve to be banned now. (many visa seeking Indians are actually not out there to spend but running away to those nations from India, and the visa issuing countries have realised it). lots of illegal Indians currently living and working in all the mentioned countries are the main reason for the downgrade in the visa ranking.

India does have a large economy,but is that reflected in the living standards of people across the nation? In its infrastructure? In the way people carry themselves? Or people from India moving abroad in search of work? … of course the economy is due to the the largest consumer in the world being the worlds highest populated country. But ratio of the gdp versus the population speaks volumes….
