I just wish one wouldn't have to pay again and again after a Visa rejection. It should be free to apply again for the same trip (time period) by the same people/person. \n\nOr give some time to fix/resubmit the issues that led to Visa rejection.

Because most of so called visitor are economics migrants overstaying past their visas. They do have 40000 dollars in their bank accounts when visas applied but when flying out they don't even have 1000 dollar with them ?. The real.problem is unskilled labour which become a headache for hosting nation

India is the master of beaucratic maze. Try applying for a ration card in india?.\nThen look at the way we indians behave when we go abroad. Bad manners, littering, no courtesy or recognition of local norms of behaviour and always some dodgy money saving gimic.\nAs for being the 5th largest economy, this is because globally we have the largest population, the GDP is still that of a poor, developing country.

Forget VISA rejection and monetary loss. In my case, great economic power USA just gulped the application fees paid for whole family intending to attend cousin's marriage in USA . All done under covid pretext. No issue there but they stonewall in best way any enquiry for interview date. Now they say apply again and pay fees again. 55k INR helped USA economy that is my contribution to most powerful and resourceful economic beggar inthe world.

Starting to feel Palki is biased towards India than being an honest journalist. Did you even bother to check why Indian visas are getting rejected in these countries? What the rejection reasons were? \n\nAs many have already commented, I will put across a list for Palki -\n\n1. Indians are Indians even outside India, well, what good are you if you do not wish to be integrated and become part of the society? \n2. Do not like to research, and instead ask questions to save time which is bad manners.\n3. Complaining is in our blood about everything.\n4. Be respectful and be considerate of others.\n5. If you are applying for a tourist visa, be a tourist and should return when the visa expires. Get a good insurance which most of the time people are not un-aware.\n6. If you apply for student visa, be a student and do not exploit the visa or violate any rules and extend your visa stay.\n7. If you are hired for work, honour the work permit rules.\n8. Last but not the least, be a good citizena and don't do anything which may spoil your countries' image.

It will be interesting for First Post to find the rejection rate for Sikhs for Visas applied because letting one Sikh in by any host country, is also letting up to 500 Lice in from Bhatinda
|

Please also mention the complicated procedure that foreigners have to go through while applying for Indian Visa.
|

Indians go to Europe via Turkey, etc and enter EU. These disgustimg people then burn the passports and apply assylum. Then Indian consulate refuses to acknowledge them as their identity can't be proven. They become like parasites ans change host after sometime

NRC must apply in US to deport illegal Indian.
|
| 2025-01-17 | 0 |
Palki purposely chose to omit the fact that 99% of Indians apply for visa to the west with the intention of never returning back to their country. That’s why most countries are sceptical when it comes to issuing visa for Indian passport holders.

South Africans have had to comply with these requirements for years. Letter of invitation for your stay. \nProof of residence in host country.\nProof of financial means to support yourself whilst there.\nQuality medical insurance in case of emergency. \nReturn flight ticket. \nMedical clearance for TB, HIV, STD's etc etc\nProof of employment in your home country.\nProof that you will return home. \nSubmit all that, and probably a few things I've forgotten. \nBTW, my hubby is a UK citizen, and we've been married for years, and I would still need to apply and comply!\nNo country owes anyone right of access, and if it threatens them in any way, they have the right to decline the application!

There has been a sudden surge in people aspiring to go to foreign lands. We must also understand that many times they apply without proper preparation which would lead to visa rejections.
|

Too much paan spitting, littering & ignorance towards local customs & manners.\nEducate yourselves before applying.
|
| 2025-01-17 | 0 |
Things not mentioned in here are that number of people applying for foreign visas have increased significantly and number of visas accepted are relatively same. Which is why rejection rates looks like it’s gone up ? I’m disappointed with Palki Sharma. There is lot more bias here vs when working in Gravitas

indians are great in tons of fields but the number of visas applied so as later PR and passport applications india tops all lists all over the world

As an Indian living in New Zealand I see lot of people coming with intention to work or apply refugee leading to rejection
|
| 2025-01-17 | 0 |
The way to travel around would be to become refugee.\n\nCanada, uk, europe take lakhs of refugees every year without even security check, but if common , hard working person wants to go to destination especially through proper channel, they have to give evidence of educational background, financial statements, clear TOEFL, gre exams etc. , fill tedious forms, stand in long queues out of their embassies. Need to take health insurance, travel insurance. \n\nIt seems like as if the person is not applying to visit another country but trying to find a matrimonal alliance.?

I worked in India for 6 years and then shifted abroad for a Masters, and now I am pursuing a fully funded PhD. In the UK, what I have observed is that the crop of students arriving from India are by the day lesser inclined towards studies and more in pursuit of the quick buck. Yes, getting a ‘UK based work experience’ is necessary to build the edge to compete against the wider international students post graduation and I have myself worked part-time in profiles which complimented my course in parallel to prioritising studies. However, the increasing trend amongst the masses (I do not want to generalise but yes this is unfortunately true and especially from certain states, the case is magnified: Read Punjab, Haryana, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Telangana) remains getting that student visa to earn quick buck to support themselves financially, chiefly, save up to dole out to so called ‘assignment writers’ which helps them pass the course to further graduate and transfer to a grad visa (again comes at a cost) which allows them 2 years worth of stay with no working hour stipulation post graduation. Thereon, work full time in laborious jobs with again not focussing on applying to full time opportunities in the field of study. Thus, what remains at the end of the day is lost time and opportunity and since I am only talking of people who come here on a Student VISA so primarily, the opportunity cost lost to upskill and further horizons. For the country’s perspective, getting cheap, skilled labour for an unskilled job is obviously an advantage but then there are cases of students not respecting their working hour restrictions, vandalising, bickering loudly, joining hands with the already operating extremist forces which instigate violence and hatred etc. In all, I think the resistance to not becoming bicultural which is a product of serious mental and physical toil and wasting time in frivolity is the main cause of the anti-immigration wave.
|
| 2025-01-17 | 0 |
Its like applying for a job. You got rejected because someone with more potential, better credentials, or waited longer got in. You’re one of the largest countries in the world and you’ve got hundreds of thousands of indians applying at a time. Percentages are a double edged sword in that regard. ??

Why do you apply for Visa??? Stay in INDIA.\nHell with Europe, USA and UAE.
|
| 2025-01-17 | 0 |
Because more and more Indians are applying.
|
| 2025-01-17 | 0 |
There are several reasons. First off, a few Indians do certain scams that affect the country. Some students from india who apply for student visas dont go to school to study, but instead take advantage of going to work there. Indian dicipline, some countries like europe and singapore complained that indian tourists tend to be rude or dont have proper manners
|
| 2025-01-17 | 0 |
Now it’s time to explore our own destinations for tour , despite of applying visa and strengthening their economy let’s strength our own economy by touring our own country .

I've been to several embassies Western and other European Non Western embassies in India over the past 25 years and most of them don't allow Indian visa applicants inside the Embassy/Consulate. Some allow Indian visa applicants only at the entrance or only inside the gate not beyond. Others allow Indian visa applicants only at the gate and you hand your application and passport to the security. It depends on what kind of visa of course. If it's for tourism or a short term visa then you're not allowed inside. If it's long term then some embassies interview you so those embassies allow. But the embassies of those very countries in countries other than India are much more open and you can actually go inside the embassy and speak to consular officers etc. In India in most Western embassies and even some Non Western embassies you cannot do that unless you're applying for long term visa or immigration etc.

Thank god, first shower, then Deodorant, then being civilized. Once you pass then Apply again
|
| 2025-01-16 | 0 |
Stop acting like you don’t know Ms Sharma, visas for Indians are rejected mainly because when you apply for a tourist visa, most of the time you are not really visiting that country. You have plans to settle there. Many people do go to these countries as tourists but they know very well who seems like a tourist and who doesn’t.
|

They will get the visa upon applying the third time.....\nThe first two times gets rejected for fee collection.....\n\nIts a way to collect three times the fee instead of one....
|
| 2025-01-16 | 0 |
Visa applications is a business.......... they want u to apply coz either way u will lose the application fee ie u pay to get approved or not often the criteria is deceptive?
|
| 2025-01-16 | 0 |
Young lady if you don't want rejection stop applying and stay in your country
|
| 2025-01-16 | 0 |
Probably this is also source of income for these countries. More rejections they do more repeat applications, more money. India should apply diplomatic or reciprocal measures for this.

?I applied from USA embassy Perth,Got it without single question,Kudos Australia ??
|
| 2025-01-16 | 0 |
Well i don't blame those government making even harder for foreigners to access abroad.. \nSOME people that applying for visas have ulterior motive, and SOME tourist have so bad attitude and manners to the point the locals are just so fed up.. the the point it is even better for no tourist at all.. \n\nlets take some examples.. \nIndonesia, Bali.. Their sacred ground are mocked and used for nude photoshoot by drunk tourist..\nJapan, Kyoto.. They put a literal banned on all tourist that are visiting geisha district..\nItaly, Venice.. Venice over-tourism have made them surge price thus disrupting locals price, Environmental and cultural damage..\nthese are the few of the problem with mass foreigners coming into other countries..

I am fond of Ms Palki,s presentation. But she is more indian without justification. I have read most of the comments. What she will tell about visa rejection of the Bangladeshi by India. For such rejection and restriction students can not apply visa for the countries which visa centres are in India. Its tit fir tat.
|
| 2025-01-16 | 0 |
Just stop applying for visas for any country. If you do this collectively, unitedly for a year or two, it will bring lots of countries to their senses. Bharat is a tremendous huge power because of its population, specially its most powerful(in the world) middle class. Just go and explore Bharat for a year or so. In the meantime I promise that these foreigners will come to their senses and realize their loss. You will see them advertising and pleading you all to visit their countries. Money talks…everywhere.

There are restriction for indians...as they some who work illegally applying tourist or student visa.\nLook at Canada, Australia......
|

I make it a point not to go anywhere I have to apply for a visa.

Palki how many Indians applied for visa to Nigeria, Zimbabwe, Burkina Faso, Chad, Central Africa, Congo, Colombia etc? Why don’t they visit there?
|
| 2025-01-16 | 0 |
Ms. Sharma please do not MISLEAD + CONFUSE viewers in name of Nationalism.\n\n\nIf it is news worthy, I think PM office should RETURN the favors to ALL these countries and stop issuing VISAS.\n\nAs far as I know [and i can be corrected] visa fees are on a equal footings [in terms of cost] . But ofcourse, if fewer people apply for Indian visa revenue for Indian government woll be lower.\n\nPlease understand the subject matter and then report it and NO DISINFORMATION or MISINFORMATION. We have TOO MUCH OF THAT.

Do you expect 100 out of 100 approval in India? Then why did you need to apply Visa at the 1st place? Right?
|
| 2025-01-16 | 0 |
Coz More and More Indians apply for visa so More and More Visa get denies ..... All Visa if given to one country then what about others. In never applied for Europe / USA and NZ and Aus visa due to fear of losing money for rejection and complicated document requirements / application process.\n\nI have been to UK once for study \nThailand\nSingapore \nMalaysia\nNepal\nIndonasia \nDubai UAE\nQatar \n\n\n\nSri Lanka is next\n\nIf countries cannot easy the visa process for legitimate travellers it’s they who lose money $$$$\n\nLiving in India ?? ❤ for 37 years and loving it ❤

It is about time that nations applied more stringent visa requirements. All nations have the right to carefully assess the motives of visitors to ensure they don't overstay their welcome. I suggest India look inwards to find reasons why its passport is lowly ranked rather than casting aspersions at foreign nations.
|
| 2025-01-16 | 0 |
Don't apply for visa. Go to those countries which allows Visa free entry.
|
| 2025-01-16 | 0 |
The Rejection rate is still very low . India can also do more to prevent illegal immigration to other countries. That gives all Indians a bad image and more scrutiny when they apply for a Visa. Like Requiring all Indians travelling overseas to have a return ticket and digital copy of their Visa, passport that can be accessed by the Indian embassy in the country they plan to visit . So if they are illegals or lose their passport, the India Embassy/Gov will know or be able to help them with a new passport to travel back to India. Digital copy is to be submitted to the Indian Embassy in the country they plan to visit days before departure, with conformation .\n\n These simple steps will bring more credibility to Indian Passport holders.

Let me help you do the math, it’s 100 Indians getting a visa and 1 person from Kosovo, so yea it might seem like Indians are not getting visas but it’s a lot of them applying vs other countries
|
