Many people have commented here to change India and make it livable instead of dreaming of Canada but let me tell you, ideally it is very welcoming and patriotic thought to make India top class country in the world in all respect but keeping current politicians standards, democratic model and caste & religion discrimination, it is next to impossible to implement changes. China has done despite massive population because it has hidden dictatorship and there are no inside traitors. Many entities within and outside India are doing their level best to break and shake India. \n\nI am from Canada, I just arrived in India on vacation. It disturbed me a lot to see trash and garbage everywhere ( especially on Kurla-Andheri-Mankhurd) on the streets from Mumbai airport, the town planning, landscape, traffic, road quality, people's civic sense (and many more things to mention) are in worst shape which is not a sign of good quality life. Especially when you enjoy lavish, luxurious, clean hygienic, sustematic life style abroad, you naturally tend tobe fascinated with that country, no matter how much patriotic you're. Somewhere people make the problem, somewhere government or governing bodies and somewhere both. \nForeign visitors must be experiencing what I experienced. When my family came here, they all had to have a health certificate and a sponsor that guaranteed they would have employment and housing waiting for them when they got here. That's 14 MILLION LESS VOTES. Really? Who she was running against to JESUS? A RED WAVE? Maybe if Democrats and Indenpent were so upset with Obama. The problem I see is that Trump and Vance call people who are living in the US legally, “illegals“. I wonder how many legal residents they are going to deport.

What they should do is hit pause on immigration. I believe they should grandfather in those who arrived prior to a specified year.\n\nI’m sure the majority is ok with immigration. It's disheartning to see lack of diversity in many establishment, because the workforce is predominantly indians with a token effort at exclusivity. This trend makes Canada less appealing to many which leads to an exodus of people. It almost feels like the country should be renamed India .\n\nPeople don't hate Indians but just like everything, there should be moderation or else one gets tired and sick of it.

I went to Vancouver and Toronto, and yes see more and more Indians living and working there. I guess Canada need more (cheap labor) migrants. I am sure for Indians, standard of living and opportunities, for many are much better than living in India.

The last time I heard you had to have certain criteria to be considered to immigrate and why is that some countries like from the South Pacific you need to know English have money in the bank and a skill or degree on a list of acceptable qualifications. As FRENCH, I think it is more an issue with policies set by both governments!!! You know you bring students IN and why don’t you build houses and encourage construction???? In France, many students (mainly Africa, and French departments like Guadeloupe, Tahiti or Martinique) come to study there (for free and we are proud of it!!!) BUT - unlike Canada - we do NOT have the same issues as Canada (our healthcare is NOT under pressure and our housing prices haven’t really increased that much as compared to Canada for example!!!) to me, the students are NOT to blame!!! It is the fault of the deciders (at different level) who have FAILED to set the right policies!!!! The schools are also to blame as some (not all) are so obsessed with making profits out of the higher international fees, which by way, subsidize Canadian students!!! So in Canada (not in France or Germany), the money that allows schools to function come from international students who BRING LOTS OF MONEY for the Canadian economy!!!! in France, it is different as the universities are FREE and are fully subsidized by the French government… but yes;) you have to speak French fluently to attend them!!! \nSo dear Canadians, do not blame foreign students thanks to whom your universities thrive and remain existant!!! Without them (namely the Indians too), the Canadian universities will struggle to find money and funding! I am in Canada, born in India. I agree there are many Indian brown people here. It’s the govt that invited people, accepted them for the jobs they were unable to fulfill . These are highly educated, skilled and hardworking people. 25% all income from education comes from Indian people. Parents come to Canada to provide free babysitting and cooking services to grandchildren . If they feel lonely it’s because they are not here to make friends but to stay at home . I one case , a grandparent fell ill in Canada and was sent back to India because of inadequate health insurance to take care of himself there on his own while the grandmother was not allowed to go and continued to babysit . These grandparents often are subjected to huge indignities. Lot of comments on how India is so good and Canada so bad . That is so ridiculous. I do not see people immigrating from Canada to India . I do not understand the tale about not getting fresh vegetables . Just step into Loblaws , Zehr , Metro and see what a lie it is . I agree many ethnic stores stock stale vegetables kept in unhealthy conditions . If food doesn’t taste good it’s became no one in the household , neither the grandparents nor the parents , can cook. That is because in India much of cooking is done by servants .

Maybe there are too many Indians everywhere and it's natural that people living there are getting sick of them. Maybe her frustration is justified. It happens everywhere regardless of race. No one wants to see a huge group of people that don't look like them or not from their tribe living on their land. I have an impression that our government wants to replace our population. When I go to the park with my dogs, I mostly see women in saris and men in turbans and hear around a foreign language. I lost the sense of familiarity and don't recognize my own country anymore. And what is sad is that India will stay India with its culture and tradition, but our culture will be dissolved.
