I like what she says about her grandchildren, in future years, may have to leave wherever they go now… alluding to the possibility (I believe) that perhaps there is no permanently perfect place… I can understand how they would appreciate living somewhere where the daily prayers are announced 5 times daily over loudspeaker. I often feel so very isolated in myself in MY way of life here in Canada (which doesn’t happen to be as a Muslim). After all, we are the “cultural melting pot,” and so many people of different cultures have come here and tried to make a life work for them. Canada is seen as “a land of dreams” by many, but it depends on what our dreams are, for real. For instance, what were many immigrants hoping for when they fled Europe after World War II? This family is telling us what they dream for their family, and Canada is not a good fit for what they value.

I want to give a different perspective. I'm from Singapore. My entire family was here and they have moved back. My sister moved back first because my British brother in law could not take the cold. My brother moved back because he wanted to make money and be rich. My parents moved back to be close to their grandkids. But no way will I move back. Constant heat strokes from the weather, materialistic and shallow people, preference given to married people and families, lack of hinterland and nature, lack of winter sports, and poor LGBTQ+ rights. I have not lived in Singapore since I was 18 and I am also childfree, with no intention of raising a family, only travel locally, and am not into the acquisition of commercial goods for gratification. I love going on roadtrips and skiing every winter and playing hockey year round. I like that I can marry who I love here and can acquire a home without needing to be married. I understand how people who want to make money and raise families would see the brighter side of other countries, but Canada, despite its flaws, is my brighter side.

Respecting people's rights to choose what they believe and practice - but saddened that so many people\nfollow religions and do not truly research the symbolism, the history, the connections - no one should \nbe attacked for wearing a head covering etc - at the same time Muslims, like many other religious\ngroups just follow what the leaders say - and - if they truly researched they would find out that \nfollowing men and clerics is not wise and not even what our Creator wants for us.\n\nI was raised in a large world wide accessible religion - then, when I saw and heard things that\ndid not add up - I prayed for truth and then pro-actively researched - I compared the teachings\nof that religion from materials with in and from out with - and drew my conclusions - I also\nbeleive that I was led to find some very useful information not of myself - I learned enough\nto make an informed decision to leave that religion. My journey after that has not been an\neasy one as there is a lot of conflicting information and factions in this world - but over time\nmy original decision has been re-enforced by facts - I also came across the origins of Islam\nand who controls it - and that would be a surprise to many - and likewise would surprise\nother people in other religions ( including the popular New Age / Eastern Mystic religions)\nare all run by the same group world wide - and The New Age / Eastern Mysticism have\nbeen marketed as some kind of non religious freedom - but are, in fact religions with\ndogmas and leaders.\n\nThe Truth has set me free - I continue to study and to have faith alone in our Creator alone\nand I try to continue to learn what I can about the world and about spiritual things - to aid\nmy understanding and discernment. May more people seek truth for themselves, stop\nblindly following men and traditions and actively study and research from a rounded\nperspective. Best Wishes.

If a country opens its borders to Palestinian refugees, they facilitate Israel’s objective of flattering Gaza and ethically cleansing the land to allow for further expansion and illegal settlement. Israel want to get rid of Palestine and all its people, chasing them out and killing those who are too slow. By standing their ground, the Arab world are forcing the west to see what they have supported and see what Israel are doing and encouraging them to change and to act and to stop the genocide. But it is also at the expense of tens of thousands of lives and an entire nations facilities. The Arab world are letting the bodies pile high until the west can't look away any more. I understand both sides of this and dislike both options, letting Palestinians die, and letting Israel take Gaza by accepting refugees. I can't say I support Saudi Arabias actions, but I also would feel the same if they opened their doors to refugees. Neither one are the right solution, and only we westerners can make this stop. And believe me, I am trying to do my part. I have signed. I have shared. I have donated. I have protested. And I will continue to do so until there is a free Palestine

Most watching this video won't understand this comment but the reality is that Canada is failing due to a bloated, unaccountable and unlimited covert police state. What other career can you make $150k a year with a single year of college? Go search for the largest number of workers within which agencies on the Ontario Sunshine List and extrapolate that across the country. We reap what we sow. I'm not Muslim, and I completely understand your views and fears. I think you are making the best decision for your family. There are many things in this country and other countries that need to be addressed. Hopefully, in our children's future, all countries will be able to address issues that are unacceptable for different races, religions, and prejudices.

As an atheist I wish you all the best, it's true the political games destroying the West from within. Though I'm on the side of LGBT and i believe that they should have rights like everyone else, at the same time I understand that some extreme ideologies can go and push so far and I agree that let kids be kids. My only concern is that Islamic countries do not have any rights for LGBT people at all, in fact, they are being prosecuted based on religion since religion is basically the law. I guess only time will tell if you made the right choice, I can not recommend any country this is something that you need to research deeply and make a decision for yourself.\nI'm in British Columbia, and my child had never experienced any drug queen library stories or anything like that, nor did teachers teach them anything without our consent, there is full transparency between teachers and parents.\nAt the same time, I'm just like you disproving collective punishment of Palestinian citizens, the atrocities are sickening and I couldn't believe that the United Nations is tiptoeing and not being proactive in defending Palestinian children, it's just unthinkable to me that it's happening in the 21st Century.

Does no one understand that these people are political pawns? We have congress members and other politicians making promises and paying people to stoke these fires for votes. Only one side gains from this, Republicans. They would rather spend time flying immigrants to democratic run states than pass legislation or work at all.

I fully understand your point of view and you are untitled to your opinions. \nI understand you are asking for ideas which countries you would like to move to that will give you peace , wealth and happiness. At the same time that you decided to l\nLeave Canada you should share your opinions. \nDecision to leave without options for a better country doesn’t make sense. \nTo me your video sounds more like a complaint, light protest and if it is that you are probably right. I am not a moslum so I can only imagine but not really know how you feel! It is unfair that people are influenced by world events but not human to human. BE well !

I can understand why people want to leave or not come to Canada, weather, cold weather can last up to six months and the summer isn’t always that great. Another reason, taxes…. Canadians are taxed to death here, you are taxed on everything here and if you make good money and aren’t paying enough taxes, you could pay a good chunk come tax time. Job market sucks, there are lots of jobs but these jobs don’t pay the greatest. Cost of living has skyrocketed over the years and in my personal opinion, since Justin Trudeau has been PM, everything has doubled in cost, so many people are struggling, many young couples can’t afford a house, rent has been on the rise over the years and so many people rely on the food banks, the highest it’s ever been in Canadian history, crime has gone up and drug use has also gone up and oddly enough, ever since Trudeau has been in charge and I’m sure some will disagree with this but Canada was never like this before Trudeau.

First of all, we should be careful with the use of the word “hijrat”. There are countries(I happen to be born and brought up in one of them) where muslims actually have a history of persecution, often resulting in riots, deaths. If you compare with Prophet Mohd. saws’s hijrat, it was a result of prosecution, suffering and life risk. Relatively speaking, sometimes our first world problems may look big, but they’re not really, compared to the state of Muslim lives in other countries. \nI have lived in Dubai(2 yrs), US(8 yrs) and Canada(1+ yr) and I want to say that Canada is a beautiful, diverse country for people from all faiths and backgrounds, so much better than what I have experienced living in the above mentioned countries and my own.\nThe grass is always greener on the other side and often we don’t understand these things until we experience them on our own. Make sure that you guys do extensive research in every aspect of your future lives and not just those top reasons mentioned in your video - for each of the probable countries on your list. May Allah guide you to the right path.

Just based on your first reason to leave, make me understand you guys have a beautiful heart. InshaAllah u will find a new beautiful home in a islamic country! I myself have left the Netherlands 14 years ago and I now live in Turkey and I have absolutely no regret and I must say it has changed me for the best?

Just remember wherever you guys pick make sure that they speak the same dialect that you do otherwise you're going to have that learning curve of learning their dialects. It is different in a lot of places like learning to speak like the yemeni do is different than the Pakistani. So just keep that in mind. My grandfather is from Yemen and his wife who is my grandmother and my dad's side is from sudan. And they used to tell me it took them a while to understand each other. My Syrian grandmother on my mom's side would teach me words and phrases and my grandpa who was from Yemen would always make fun of me because I wasn't saying stuff right. I'm not really good at speaking Arabic but I can get by so just remember when you guys are picking somewhere to pick a place that won't be that hard to understand people. I'm only saying that because with the kids you guys send the kids to school they may learn a different dialect than what you taught at home and it will be a learning curve for them to try to understand. But I'm sure you guys will make the right decision. I just figured I would throw that in there I'm sure you already know that the dialects are a lot different and Arabic is a lot different in different parts of the world. People think Arabic is all the same and it's really different. Just like people who speak Spanish in South America speak different dialects on the Puerto Ricans just like people in Brazil don't speak Spanish they speak portuguese. Just a thing to think about. Egypt seems to be a pretty good place I have family that live in Egypt and they really liked it but I'm sure you guys will pick a place that's wonderful for your family and I can't wait till you guys know when we can see everything that you guys are doing in your new home Korean and I totally understand I am so upset the United States took the stand that they did with the genocide in Gaza and in the occupied West bank. People don't understand exactly what's going on there they don't know if they're not really up on current events and don't have any people in their family who are from a Muslim country they don't really know what's been going on. I move from one country to another every five years because of the nature of my job. As a practising Muslim with children here are some of the countries I’ve lived in which you guys should consider :\n- Turkey is very developed and your family will have to make less adjustments in terms of quality of life. If you can speak Turkish then you are good to go.\n-Morocco has a very rich culture and the economy is relatively stable.\n- Malaysia is beautiful and has great community sense. Very helpful people. The main adjustment will be with the eastern culture which is very conservative. The cuisine is also very unique.\n- Qatar and UAE are both similar in the sense that finding jobs won’t be a problem and lots of people understand and speak english. Also these two countries are developed and the \n education standards are the highest I have seen in countries following sharia. Also these countries are less strict than Saudi Arabia which is my native country. I really hope you two \n aren’t considering it. Your girls will not grow up happy in Saudi. Trust a women who has done it. There are mosques everywhere in almost every city and even the Hindus fondly wake up to the azaan. Most \ninclusive non-Muslim country I have lived in. My children loved it. We lived in one of the many Muslim communities near a mosque in a city called Hyderabad which was ruled by a Muslims for hundreds of years. Even though they have their own languages nearly everyone speaks english. The schools are great. The police create spaces for Muslims to worship on the roads so that traffic doesn’t disturb them. Very inclusive and the city itself is beautifully developed. The job market is great and it is a very affordable place to raise a family.\n\nI hope you guys check these places out. I’ve only listed the countries which I felt were the best options but I’ve lived in almost all the countries with a sizeable Muslim population. Best wishes to you folks from the Sayyid family. I would suggest that you move to Saudi Arabia, preferably into or around Makkah or Madinah. I believe that these two are the best cities in the world for Muslims. Imagine saying your five daily prayers in Masjid-e-Haraam or Masjid-e-Nabawi! You kids could study there and grow up speaking and understanding Arabic like Arabs. Imagine the understanding and appreciation they'd have of the Quran and Hadith moreover, they'd be able to reap benefits from the work of all major scholars. InshaaAllah. BUT, on the other hand, you guys are Allah's workers there in Canada. You could do dawah, spread Allah's word (you're doing that beautifully already). You'd be doing what the messengers of Allah did. And also, why would I move to a country where my tax payer money goes into directly funding the genocide of my brothers and sisters. My family moved 22 years ago from Mumbai to Toronto…while the struggles said on your channel are real, there are also perks which I feel like you didn’t get to experience. If people have good jobs, stable family life then DON’T move…culture shock is huge that people moving from India don’t consider, just by wearing and eating western food doesn’t make you western! \nThere are sacrifices to be expected which you don’t realized as your great grandparents or grandparents might have made when they started out! \nMoving to another country is never easy, unless you’re loaded with $$$. People in India are lazy as they have people working for them and don’t realize how difficult it is living outside of that lifestyle (not everyone in India can afford housekeepers, cleaners). Being independent and doing things on your own has its own positive (just need to figure it out). \n\nI have worked in healthcare for 16 years and let me tell you…social system works better as everyone gets the health service without being judged about $$. Healthcare is based on priority around the world but people don’t understand this as they feel like their problem should be attended first no matter what! \nNot all drugs are legal in Canada, marijuana is legal though with acceptable limits…you probably were misinformed about drugs! Teach your kids about right /wrong when it comes to drugs, smoking, alcohol and that’s the best you can do! I know people who live in India and do all that which you mentioned you were worried about for your kids. \n\nWhat you experienced was a classic case of culture shock and your expectations didn’t match the reality! Moving away from family, changing lifestyle and being responsible adult (doing things on your own rather than relying on workers) is difficult but doesn’t make the country bad that have you an opportunity to settle! Don’t take things for granted even while you live in India…appreciate the effort that goes into everything- keeping roads clean, people working hard, etc. \n\nBest advice I can give to those considering moving to any foreign country is: Keep an open mind, be ready to work hard and visit the country you want to move to before you make the grave decision of uprooting everything! Things usually turn around and get better after 5 years mark- focus on upgrading your education if you have a basic degree from India (even you know how competitive things are in India, so how can western world not be!)\n\nBeing vegetarian- things are tough when it comes to food but living in Toronto has never been an issue. Even people living in India avoid outside food due to hygiene reason which is not a problem in Canada as food inspection is pretty strict (having worked with ministry of health). \nCities like Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal, etc has variety of food options (including veg)…just have to be really open to trying other cultural food (Asian, Mediterranean, Italian,Mexican, etc). My parents are strict vegetarians and have never truly struggled when they are out. \n\nCost of living is definitely higher as the standard living is higher compared to India. Education (until grade 12) and healthcare are free (in reality, you pay tax for it), you get pension when you retire (based on your contributions and type of jobs you had)…you failed to navigate the system and I will say having family around is why you didn’t take opportunity to explore and learn on your own. \n\nPlease don’t come to Canada and make life difficult for other Indians who choose to willingly accept the culture and lifestyle here after going through this hardship- cost of living and housing has gone up dramatically in major cities because of immigration influx! If you’re serious about moving and putting up, only then move! Otherwise all the best for your future endeavours!

A South African who lived there a few years. Nothing felt better than getting on the plane to leave, and knowing I will never have to return. Even South Africa with the crime and load shedding is by far better. In many ways a man is more free here even if i have to live behind security systems. I can speak my mind without fear of some PC police and censorship, which is far worse prison. My standard of living is also far better here. I can ride my bikes as I please where in Canada I can only ride a few months and would lose my license in a month due to BS fines. And the people here are much more open and truly hospitable, not some fake politeness. I even missed the blacks here, who at least i can joke and chat with far easier than with canadians. I found I have more in common with black africans than with white canadians who look like me and speak the same language. We may have the same skin colour but are totally different in culture. It made me realise I am more african than western, proud of it, and I would prefer to live and die with the african sun on my face with wide open space, than in some dark, cold, gloomy place living in cramped quarters in some libtard paradise constrained by so many laws. I think the system was designed intentionally to empty immigrants pockets and then push them out. Sell Canadian Dream, bring as much immigrants as possible. Make them pay crazy rents and keep them in never attainable certification limbo. By the time they realize they are already exploited by the system. If you are someone who prefers domestic helps, cook etc. Then believe me, these countries are not for you. The key is to understand what is priority for you in life. If it is cleanliness, safety, good infrastructure, health care, children education and their future, then go for it. If you are the lazy kinds who prefers luxury and rely on others to do daily household chores, very attached to friends, relatives, enjoy going out and eating in Indian restaurants, not ready to be patient and willing to slog for the initial few years then any of these developed countries is not for you. Entirely depends on what are your priorities in life are.\nAgain these countries are good for the tradies - electricians, mechanics, plumbers etc. These guys can make a fortune here. Like you, I know someone happy with their job, location, medical care and opportunities, but they are also very uncomfortable with the political situation - I'll just say it - Republicans. You need only look at Trump and its followers. Guns over lives (including kids), billionaires over poor, religion over others' freedoms (gay/trans/abortion, etc), mass spread of misinformation (Fox news, OAN, etc) and a personal selfishness and anger which was made very clear during COVID times. It makes them feel like they are walking on eggshells, at least compared to Canada where they lived before and people would look out for each other more (even if they didn't know them). They like the weather, job, opportunities, the USD buying power, and their friends, among many other things, but it just feels excessively risky to them dealing with the combinations of these things.
