I am a Canadian and the province in which I live trades with the U.S. so obviously both countries will suffer\n with higher tariffs. If Americans think that these tariffs are a good thing for America you better think again. Obviously prices will rise.As I have been thinking all along Trump will ruin America and the world.

People don't understand, when we buy their goods it grew their economy because our currency is higher then the rest of the world, if they want to buy from us they spend millions on it that is why they trade with Chinese in buying. Currently, they spend their money on cheap fake good that lasted only for a mouth or weeks from China. \nShe thinks she can grew our economy with their little money. It's time we forecast on our farmers instead of this so called traitors who buys Chinese good and sell their product to us

Yes the woke media thinks that Canadians should assimilate to the immigrants coming here but they don’t think the immigrants should assimilate to Canada. That won’t end well for Canada. We live pretty normal day to day lives - we don't splurge out on new cars or RVs or boats - just NORMAL life, and it is absolutely shocking how much is the monthly cost of raising a family here. I don't think the next generation has much hope for a good future in terms of housing, jobs, savings, safety. Young Canadians will leave, if they can. Better than being broke, homeless, in perpetual debt.

That’s why Trump targeted all uneducated people because he sounds good in talk but doesn’t do anything either. I wish we could start again like 20 years ago because now some illegal migrants that have been here for 5-20 years think they have American rights they are still illegal and have no American rights. All criminals, people collecting federal/ state benefits are anyone coming over here pregnant should be consider illegal. i agree with deporting illegal migrants, however cost of certain labour jobs will go up and the people will pay, these are good people who do hard work and it will be a rude awakening for americans if they’re all mass deported— i do think a Harris presidency overall would have been better. but only time will tell, i hope the level of discourse and overall temperature of the USA can remain calmer than previously seen. ❤??

Anyone reading this that is planning on crossing the border. I'm gonna be frank with ya. Aside from the fact that you probably shouldn't be trying to circumvent our laws just to avoid a situation you don't like in the USA right now... you also shouldn't be trying to cross our border in what is becoming our winter season. \n\nThere are plenty who try, and many do meet a grim fate due to the elements they are just not prepared for. And even if you think you can do it, or prepare enough to do it, you still shouldn't. There isn't much you can do when you have fallen into one of the many sloughs that hide beneath the snow and ice during winter, waiting to make you a popsicle. And if you get out of that, you still have to somehow get warm again. But let's say you avoid that, what then? Well, we have these really cold biting winds that make the -30 temps feel like -40 or worse. But you came prepared, so let's say you can handle that for a bit. Well, you sweat. You will get damp, then wet, over time. Then your fancy clothing doesn't do much for you anymore. Ya dig?\n\nOh but wait, there's more. So we have this wildlife eh', and it likes to do this thing that wild life does... and it eats you. Coyotes are one such kind of wildlife. Bears are another. Both are prolific in certain areas, all the way down to the border in some cases. \n\nGranted, coyotes usually aren't a huge problem for us up here, but that's cause we know how to deal with them usually. Bears are another issue, that even we have problems with at times. You'll probably run into a black bear if you run into one. Grizzlies tend to be further north and to the west. You're gone too far somehow if you find Polar bears. \n\nThere are other critters to mention, but they're more active in the summer, like rattle snakes. (Yes, we have them)\n\nOkay, so you got past the border, and you actually somehow managed to survive the winter temps in your trek to some sort of civilization. Now you have to somehow find a place to live. This is of course assuming you decided to try to bypass all our border security of course. You could go to an embassy and declare asylum I guess. But right now, you're more likely to be given a ticket back to where you came from initially. So that's not something in the game plan for you. What then?\n\nWelcome to being homeless. Oh, and you're still having to deal with our winter temperatures. \n\nSuffice to say, right now is not a good time to be trying to ignore our laws just to do whatever you want. Consider this a fair warning, as this about all the F's I have to give over it all in regards to your safety. I just am dismayed that some of you mouth breathers are going to get your kids harmed because of it all as well.

I think investment should be in a think tank to train Americans to be better and for us to produce superior technology in every area. Tariffs and other stuff to give people an advantage is not going to put us ahead. Competition is good because it forces one to have to get better.

The concept is a good idea, with deterring businesses from hiring undocumented immigrants and tougher entry requirements etc., but we all know the execution of this policy is going to result in instances of inhumane conduct and will give permission to radical racist organisations who think they have Authority to take matters into their own hands and calling it civil duty.

As an Independent voter, I voted against Trump, as I think he is simply too slimy to represent the USA. Having said this, I agree that ALL people living in this country illegally (men, women, children) need to be deported. Will this increase the price of goods? Probably. But, until we baseline things according to our rule of law, everyone against this policy is simply guessing.

Economic indicators say the economy was good. The economy and GDP grew, but the working class didn’t think so. Well, when the number of illegal immigrants per year far exceeds the number of new jobs per year, then the wages of the working class people will not keep up with inflation. Under Biden, the new jobs each year was an average of 1.2 million, but the number of illegal immigrants coming in looking for jobs was over 2 million people. For comparison, under Obama illegal immigration was just 300-400K per year. So as you can now see, the border crisis was a much bigger issue than the Democrats cared to admit.

It was announced today on the news that the Trump initiative to deport all illegal immigrants will cost up to $1 trillion dollars. That’s a lot of moolah. Which will come out of our taxes. And the tariffs that he went on and on about. Companies aren’t giving out bonuses to workers for end of year. Because they have to save money now because Trump will impose tariffs on incoming goods. The workers didn’t understand they assumed the cost would be paid by importers. In reality, it will trickled down to American consumers who have to pay for goods. Economists have been saying during the election this is a bad idea.Trump tried to do it the last time he was in office and it didn’t work. So people be aware you think you can’t afford things now wait you won’t be able to afford anything. PS the government has nothing to do with price gouging for food and they don’t set the price for gasoline or electricity, etc. ????
