My wife came to America from Russia over 20 years ago.. It took her 3 1/2 years to get approval to come to America legally… she’s now an American citizen.. it’s people like her that are livid over this mess. I looked up the Canadian military website and found out me as a permanent resident can also be qualified to apply. I am a newfoundlander known across the country as a NEWFIE. You ask would i give up by birthplace to move to the USA? I wouldn't consider moving to anywhere in Canada let alone move to the USA. We have health insurance which is taken care of by government, we have Dental care that's taken care of by government we have Starbucks, Tim Horton's, and all the other goodies you mentioned here or you think are goodies.
