I lived in Old Downtown Brampton, Century home, North side of the tracks on Isabella St for many years and I'm mortified that 6min into this segment all I've seen is toothless white trash. As a toxic white man I'd way rather live with and amongst all flavour of Indian than the rabble I've seen in this report. Sorry not sorry.

I love how the security guards were all brand new immigrants too ? In brampton there was a line up at a restaurant 1000 people long for ONE job posting. \n\nIts impossible to live here. And the government thinks its OK because aggregate market prives for apartments are 'acceptable'at 2300/month for a single bedroom. The problem is that 60% or mortgage come due this year, we have 2 million immigrants who are underhoused, and all these people are looking for multi bedroom units which have tripled in price since 2019\n\nEdit: before anyone takes this the wrong way, this is not the fault of the people coming here for a better life, it's a federal/provincial government problem for scamming 100s or thousands of people out of a life here.

I truly believe this all revolves around the housing crisis. Not enough housing can be built. Canadians with options are not taking low-income jobs. It's not a survivable wage anymore. Canada's #1 GDP is Real Estate. Potential first-time home buyers are not willing to throw themselves into a lifetime debt for a weak economy. \n\nSo what does Canada do? Fill these vacancies with immigrants. Not inherently wrong, but it's a band-aid solution to temporarily pump up the numbers. \n\nImmigrants, specifically refugees are taking low-income jobs. Speak Arabic? You can easily fill your job positions for minimum wage. Just like mafia tactics in third-world countries, the government takes their passports away and they must fulfill their duties at a very low wage and very high cost of living under threat of being thrown back into a potentially war-torn country. Came to Canada as a Dentist? Doesn't matter, you need to climb the ladder again and in the meantime work as a Receptionist making minimum wage.\n\nImmigrants with money are obligated to prove themselves. Buy housing, start a business. Numerous cities such as Brampton are being filled with slums. Housing a double digit of residents in the basement at absurd costs so the landlords can afford their ridiculous mortgages and lifestyle off the back of other immigrants/refugees.\n\nThe main issue is the hate directed towards immigrants. First of all, in the video it was disgusting for the man to acknowledge that someone was wearing good clothes and asking where the refugee center is. Someone can be a refugee and still have money. That's the ideal refugee. Someone with money in a war-torn country such as Sudan are high targets and completely deserve to run away to a safe country like Canada - especially if they can afford to spend money and stimulate the economy.\n\nStop attacking the people. This is a housing crisis issue that has been so poorly managed that these deeply rooted symptoms are beginning to show.

As a South Asian living in the Uk ?? I've heard of the Desis in Canada ?? as having a bad reputation due to the smell in a place called Brampton. For FFS, learn English and integrate with the local culture. If you dont, then go back to India. It's embarrassing that South Asian to hear shit like that from other communities, not just whites..?‍♂️

The last few calls I made to Rogers they were Indians here on a student visa. The last women I spoke with is from Brampton . Most real Canadians cannot fathom the idea of 24 roommates...in other parts of the world, this is luxury living, running hot water, foodbanks...you can still afford the tweaked Honda ala stovepipe muffler, tinted windows that make it harder to see people on the inside...yeah safe idea fellas. Then there are the sword fights in Brampton? What f*** ing country is this??

They're living the Canadian dream, 6 to a basement in Brampton.

There is a whole other Canada outside Toronto, Brampton or Vancouver. Disgruntled, leave. No one is stopping you from leaving. We had to move out from Brampton bc it become terrible place to live. 3000 sq ft beautiful homes in nice subdivision. House next to us, 4 families in one house crowded like rats. Indian music playing laud in garage on Sundays. About 15 kids seating on top of 6 ft fence staring in our backyard. Couldn’t enjoy life anymore. Crime start to spike. Today people blame on Liberals, however that was during Conservative government of Brian Mulroney. Those immigrants destroy city. I hope they all leave Canada.

We let in too many international students. That really did not have the money to live in Canada. On the news the other day. It was said 25 international students lived in a basement in Brampton. \n\nCanada needs to let people who can afford to be in Canada. Stop giving away PR cards.

Once you pass the Oakville Ford plant, you crawl all the way to Downtown Toronto. At least the GO train works well. Toronto is now overcrowded. Mississauga and Brampton are getting just as bad. Need to go to a hospital in or near Toronto? 14 hour wait.

I live north of brampton of DT Toronto i use to work the east end of Toronto. I get burnt out from driving to work 2 days a week really fast, becase traffic and our transit system is just terrible, it takes 2 hrs for me to get to work and 2 and a half hrs to get home and recently my work place was cruel enough to replace me with someone thats cheaper. Toronto is deffinitly not a good place to move to if you don't love the city

I have lived in Spain for years and now live in the UK, I can tel you Spain was ever better in teams of infrastructure and recently visited ontario Toronto and Brampton areas in Canada, my goodness I was blown away with the difference and the life styles in Canada it was amazing still can't get over it, am already working on getting a truck license and finish my it course. I lived in Brampton for six years, if you really want to eat a great non-veg then only try going to a Pakistani Restaurant (restraun)....... you must know one thing for sure that any non-veg (Goshtt) bought by any Indian Restaurant is always always Grade-3, the lowest grade and of course the Cheapest.\nIn Pakistani Restaurants in North America (I'm saying anywhere in North America) the Goshtt is always Grade-1 (the best)..... not many people know this...... I'm only educating you......same goes with South Asian restaurants in the UK, Australia, NZ, South Africa et al.

As a Jamaican Canadian I experience some anti-black racism all my life. The worst was at a few workplaces and a couple of visits to Montreal. I live in Toronto and it's here to, but not that bad. the western provinces besides BC are the worst. Quebec and the Atlantic provinces are also bad. My advice to all my brothas and sistahs that want to live in Canada is that you live in the GTA in Ontario. One other thing Do not live in Brampton, or you will be discriminated by another immigrant group which I won't say but some know.

This is truly heartbreaking, I feel so sorry for International Students who came here with dreams but were given something far below that. I am a Canadian born student, brought up and raised in Brampton but I made friends with many international students. I don't understand how International students have to pay 3-4x our tuition, cover their living expenses, and have work restrictions on their study permit. The truth is competion is everywhere and companies are competing for top students who go to credible universites. I don't see how international students are suppose to compete with these students when there is a shortage of high-paying jobs. I truly feel bad. I advise students to tell their stories to their younger siblings and cousins back home and prevent them from living a hard-working life with little reward. Advise them to complete their studies back home and find a job in big cities back home. As a domestic student I struggle to pay for my own expenses and I could not imagine if I did not have my parents support. This is fraud on another level!!!

I'm from Ontario and imo it's just as bad as ppl say the USA is there is tons of gun violence especially in Brampton there are drugged up ppl in my town there Is even a street where there are always ambulances bc there are stabbings and shootings bc of crazy drugged up ppl \nI don't even feel safe going downtown or for a walk especially at night also the costs of living is high and the Healthcare is trash

I don't mind living in Brampton. It's actually a not a bad place to live. It's convenient, has great transit, and close to many great grocery stores.

He wasn't approved because he's not middle Eastern or Asian. That's not being racist it's based on facts and a big cause of the unemployment problem in Canada because Canada born citizens can't even get jobs at Walmart anymore and most of the Walmart employees barely speak English if they do speak the language at all. My local Walmart for example was 100% locals and students from the local college but a year and a half ago they laid off all but 6 locals who were managers and shift leaders and hired all immigrants who don't even live in the area. And skip the dish isn't any better all the drivers in my area actually live in Brampton and Toronto but delivery food 2-3 hours away from home and I'm pretty sure that's actually why covid keeps spreading.

Local Brampton Mayors and Ontario gov never tried to put/invite some universities, hospitals and white collar jobs in Brampton, due to that Brampton became mostly bedroom community and all mix people started leaving city by seeing huge influx of South Asian population. Most people in Brampton are either truck driver, construction worker or labourer working in warehouse, while North-West part of Brampton is mostly young IT people working in Downtown or Mississuaga. I personally don’t know a single person who works in Brampton. But, still every Indian wants to live in Brampton just because of food & brown community. Now Brampton will become more brown and brown every year, just because there is no reason for other community to come and live in Brampton, no white collar jobs, not many hospitals or colleges or universty which can bring mix crowd. Brampton will be 100% south asian in next 10 years as most 50%+ new immigrants to Canada are from South Asia and every year 450000 new immigrants comes to Canada!
