I work in construction and can confirm a lot of the big companies have been exploiting this system to cut costs because they get hand outs from the government to offset the wages of these foreign workers. \n1. There are some good people who are foreign workers who do good work and want to integrate into our culture, but there are many who do not respect our customs/culture and do shoddy work.\n2. Youths who would otherwise be interested in getting into construction are apathetic, lazy and have no ambition because it's so hard to make ends meet from the ground level.\n3. How about congress starts taking a serious approach to creating an immigration policy codified in the form of a constitutional amendment that provides protections and benefits to the American citizens while simultaneously making the process more efficient and transparent. At the same time pass a law that requires the federal government and border states to cooperate and be funded to make the border airtight.
