The rejection rate is increasing as we Indian are going out at a pace which is greater than any of the given country especially if we compare ourselves with China. Second is the civic sense, we have little to no civic sense when we cant keep our own country clean. Third is the general sentiment in the host country, as we are highly skilled and take most of jobs, western people with their inferiority complex cant handle it hence ranking India in the 85th Position.

Yes it’s time for equal request as you can see this ranking is nothing but strong arming us to keep us down. But if west and Europe and all others country if they want India’s working force then they need to give us visa free access and stop this bullshit raking and give India actual rank free of politics and hate. \n\nWe Indians are not growing to steal anything from anyone but taking our rightful place of being the oldest civilisation who take all with us in growing our self and others Vasudev Kutumbakm!

The western economic structure is drowning in debt and they fear Indians will come and take away what little is left. Don't worry companies will come to India eventually. I am sure the tourist visas are not getting rejected coz that would be soo dumb.

Check lithuanai 100 percent visa rejection I checked .all student visa. They take college fee , visa fee totally 3500 euro ? finally rejection. They did from 2015 till now. Totally they scam more than 35000 crore . Do documentry . Klaipeda university and it is public university sell application to minimum 10 thousand students and never reply . Application fee 200 euro ...even got tution fee 2000 euro and never reply . I personally went to university in Lithuania and checked . Behavior of fellow Indians could be the main reason. Most of the people like to remain calm in most of the situations, but Indians take it granted.Talk very lould, play music with out headphones, try to stand before the flight stops, talk in authoritative language, expect immediate solutions when situation arouses, shouting on others, window shopping, disobey certain rules, Bargaining culture at some places where they not supposed to do etc. This behavior we have with us not only in India and we behave the same outside India as well. Government should start a course how they should behave in public places.

India should stop e-visas for govt employees of countries like the US. Any US citizen who or whose immediate family member is a US govt employee should be asked to queue up at an Indian consulate and given an appointment after 1 year. They should be asked to submit various sorts of documents, submit their passport, wait for 45 days after which depending on the mood of the officer at the consulate, a sticker visa could be issued. This policy should be for OCIs who take up govt job as well.\n\nPS: Egypt had removed Canada from their visa on arrival list after canada began arbitrarily rejecting egyptian visa applications. I agree with the ranking, and the west doesn't need indian talent, india needs the west. Keep your talent, that way you won't need any visa. So you seem to be blaming the Country denying Indians a visa. Break down the rejections. Indians like any other third world country are known to use these avenues to escape from India. Don't blame the countries for taking time to assess. Blame the Indian society/economics that is forcing people to exit the country. See what can be done to fix that first, so that people don't want to exit your motherland first.

It’s the fault of Indians , most of them breach the conditions of their visas especially students from Punjab who take unfair advantage here in the U.K. They work for more than 20 hrs which is allowed under student visa. It’s your duty to study only rather than working some shit job. Deliveroo and other food delivery apps also get plenty of of Indians who are students so do not blame the prime minister or foreign countries , teach your children how to behave properly.

Well said! I hope our Ministry of Foreign Affairs takes note. It's high time India earns global respect, particularly from the UK, USA and EU. Offering arrival visas to income tax filers could be a game-changer and a start to that direction and will motivating more people to file returns to get that pride status. Currently, only 3% of Indians file tax returns, whereas at least 10% should. This initiative would benefit India and provide developed countries with a better filtering process.

I usually agree with everything you say, in this case it’s sadly illegal immigrants and abuse of visas. Come as a tourist or hidden in a truck, work as a take away driver. \n\nMany Indians say dual citizenship leads to dual loyalty, if U.K. or USA open up their country to India. @3:30: Burkino Faso, Kosovo and Cuba have tiny populations. Even if their entire population migrated, the locals in the country receiving them would hardly notice any difference. Not so with India and its 1.5 billion population, many of whom want to migrate only because the neighbour's/aunt's/uncle's son also went abroad. Announce a liberal visa regime for Indians one day, and within a year, your country would start looking like Chandigarh or Ahmedabad. While most countries are ok with some diversity, no one wants to be overrun by foreigners, even if the foreigners in question are Indians who are generally law abiding and hard working. And then there are the 'smarter ' types who fake documents and produce bogus certificates to get visas and even pay human smugglers to take them abroad if their visas are rejected. It's for all these reasons why India's passport is ranked at 85. The only reason why India doesn't fall even further is because there are bigger basket cases like India's 'friendly' neighbors who are sitting tight below.\nIf India wants equitable treatment, it should first make itself the best place in the world for an Indian to live and work in. The more you rely on the others for visas, the more likely they are to refuse you.

Why are indian visas being rejected? Well, could it be that various countries learned from canada, the US, and other developed nations about how indians abused the H1B as well as other visa programs by lying and cheating their ways into those countries. Not only that, once indians get into those countries they caused problems for the governments and people of those countries by shtting on their beaches, refusing to return to india when their visas expire, and playing the victim card when those countries take actions to punish indians for violating their laws.

You never mentioned what the Modi government’s actions are against these visa rejections? \nIndians are known to travel to many destinations on tourist or study visas and then simply stay back. They take advantage of the loopholes in the laws of many countries and there are Indians in those countries who help them.

Before we cry foul about why our passport ranks low or why visas keep getting denied, maybe we should take a hard look in the mirror. Ohh, and guess what? a whopping 20,000 of them are Indians. These folks were reported as non-compliant with their student visas, ditching the whole 'studying' part of the deal. Instead, some are busy with doing illegal jobs, while others have allegedly slipped across the border into the US illegally. But sure instead of earning the respect, let's kee p demanding for it...

All these western countries do have a legitimate concern - if ever there is a race of people who could take all the good jobs in the west it is the Indians . \nThey overstay their visas and you can't expect these countries to bear the burden of repatriation and I doubt India will as this would a bad precedent .

I am a legal immigrant in UK, but I see so many indians who misuse study visa to stay beyond their visa expiry and eventually become illegal immigrants just taking advantage of the system.. this reflects are very bad image.

Good news and many north indians are taking aslyum in europe and america on tourist and business visa, if such activity is increasing then other country can take any actions. India doesn't have aslyum facility and no one want to take Aslyum in infia???

Indians take up jobs everywhere, they just trying to protect their own employment ratings.

Why do the Indians travel to take other people's jobs when they have such needs in their own home country? Non-tech labor jobs in India are needed greatly. Seeing travel videos of India the people and their government should invest in itself with its own people.For a better and stronger India to prosper.

It is funny that we also report the news, as Indians are winning when we talk about Forex transfers. We are happy when allowed to travel or work in other countries. Nobody complains about the Thick folder of documentation when approved.\nWe also have to consider our civic sense approach. Maybe as we all Indians know all too well, many of our fellow citizens travel to other countries like in the West & stay they illegally - often working in their black economy. Even if caught, they destroy or hide their passports to conceal their origins & even if proven they are to be Indian, the Indian gov't refuses to take them back without their passport & other I.D documents.

I know a Indian friend who when he was a student due to climate issue got in a delayed flight in UAE, he hates politics but he follows a philosophy that's eye for an eye, and that is if everyone can be a thief nobody will be a thief, if you steel from me, I've the right to do the same, he was denied a 1 day visa by the UAE government and had to stay in the airport for 15 hours, he was angry, while others in the flight was given a 1 day visa, so say 15 years later, he is running his own business abroad, got a chance in open interview to interview students, saw one was a UAE citizen, he never took the interview for him, his philosophy, after 15 hours of waiting, he will take that student's interview, he took other's interview, after time was over he left the office and later the student left, his attitude is he as the right to do the same.

You can't just keep populating and expect developed countries take care of you period not to mention indians are not known for their superb ethics

These students came for an education. You accepted the terms of that student visa and should thereby adhere to those terms. Many countries do offer jobs to international students who excel in their studies if there are available positions in that field that Canadians can not fill. It is Indian recruiters who have sold the residency idea both in India and Canada. It is these recruters that teach them how to defraud our systems and take your money. If you think about it, how many successful companies hire people with strip mall college certificates in high paying jobs.\n\nWho they should be protesting against are their recruiters who sold them this illusion, not our government. There are processes for residency, not privileges.

Its simple. Indians are disrespectful, get into positions where they can hire and only hire there own. They hate western people but will be nice to your face. Indians are often very dishonest! We have 1,000,000 Indians here who obtained a visa but then never went back home when their visa expired. They are here illegally and working here illegally. An Indian merchant at a convenience store tried to steal a winning lottery ticket from me a few days ago! Canada and the US deserve it for allowing so many Indians over... I was born and raised in brampton. I am now 41 years old. When i was 20 i remember when the indians started to come into brampton they were taking our jobs because they would work for minium wage without benefits. Then they stated to buy the houses and bring in their families they had like 10 to 20 people living in one house, so only needing to work for minium wage they were able to purchase the houses faster. Then the stores started opening up and theis is when i left. Brampton was the best place in ontario to live (close to everything, small enough to feel like a town but yet big enough that it had everything available) \nNow its a shit hole

The indigenous people of this country did not sign a Treaty with Asia, it was signed with an appointed Governor on behalf of the Crown of England.
