Unfortunately, we do not have jobs available in the USA. There are no issues with Indians; the economy is tough for everyone. Inviting one billion people will not resolve the US economy.

CNN knows their consumers are not intelligent enought to use critical thinking. Notice their verbiage? They use words like migrants. This is an ILLEGAL MIGRANT issue and a CRIMINAL one at that. Unfortunately, have to agree with the fact that some Indians have exploited the visa process and made it a mess for the remaining well intentioned legal residents. Lack of proper manners, over staying, misusing the privilege, list goes on. Please understand: we need to follow rules. We are a law abiding country. Not everything is perfect, neither in India or anywhere. That does not give you the right to break rules blatantly. We don't want illegal immigrants, why would some other country want that. When I read all of this, I'm damn glad that I'm German and that I've managed to build something for myself. Even if not everything is perfect here, the health care and social security are better than in many countries. Unfortunately, our problem is that too many people are now being allowed in here who pay nothing, absolutely nothing, into the social systems, but only benefit from it. Twenty years ago things looked better here.

I always keep upto date with FP news but this was so biased and failed to address the issue fully and accurately. Firstly, the economy of India or the foreign policies of India has little to do with the power of the Indian passport. According to that logic US, China and Russia should be the top 3 in the passport ranking - but it is not. @3:35 The logic is visible and the west does not need to explain it. It is the quality of the people visiting the western countries. There is a significant number of Indian citizens who would migrate without the intention to return. This fact unfortunately affects everyone holding an Indian passport. FP also needs to see that middle class in India is not at a middle class standard worldwide. I presume those countries which has slightly stronger passport than India has populations which are a tiny fraction of those wanting to travel with an Indian passport.

One more rant with no objective understanding or study of the core issue. Unfortunately many tourists from India are a disgrace and have very little civic sense. Though VISA applications cannot measure that, they just keep the total numbers low by bringing in additional restrictions.

Unfortunately the majority of them come from a certain region in India . Australia just banned the same states for running scams in universities and work . I’ve lived in Canada and people here have been absolutely loving and welcoming

This news is unfortunate but we cannot deny the fact that majority of Indians lack civic sense. The poor and the lower middle class who lack civic sense are not the problem. Sorry for the prejudice, but they rarely plan to travel abroad. There is an unwritten rule that visa applications from countries below $10,000 per capita GDP will be heavily scrutinized. It is unfortunate that countries first encourage Indians to apply for visas only to reject them and earn huge fees in the process. Its a total scam. Burkina Faso may not exactly be the poster child of stability as you said. But unfortunately for INDIA, it has become the poster child of SCAM and DECEIT - through the behaviour of those who moved abroad. The trust level even among the Indian populace is minimal - they shamelessly take advantage and abuse other Indians.

Any immigrant who enters to a country must obey the rules and policies, respect others, environment, culture etc. in Canada from some cities other nations are moving out out due this people are trying to make here as their country in all aspects. Most of them are really loud in stores and anywhere we go. Definitely there should be some behavioural lessons for them for sure. Some make illegal documents. Some so gossipy at work places. Some tell so much lies to reach higher places at work. Some are gangsters. We have other nations but I personally see only very few nations don’t blend well with the country. Every country have people as mentioned above but it’s more commonly we see and noticed in some cultures due to poor and no proper education. It’s unfortunate

I don’t know about rest of the world but in the US alone, 700,000 Indians entered the country either illegally or overstayed their US visa just last year alone. In Canada, some Indian international students were discovered to have forged their education documents and now have been deported. Temporary workers are demanding permanent residency after work visa extensions have been cancelled due to housing shortages & increasing unemployment rate. \n\nIndian people in general are good workers but these protest aren’t helping and demanding they be allowed to stay while their documents are forged is upsetting Canadians. It unfortunately grouping everyone together.

I worked in India for 6 years and then shifted abroad for a Masters, and now I am pursuing a fully funded PhD. In the UK, what I have observed is that the crop of students arriving from India are by the day lesser inclined towards studies and more in pursuit of the quick buck. Yes, getting a ‘UK based work experience’ is necessary to build the edge to compete against the wider international students post graduation and I have myself worked part-time in profiles which complimented my course in parallel to prioritising studies. However, the increasing trend amongst the masses (I do not want to generalise but yes this is unfortunately true and especially from certain states, the case is magnified: Read Punjab, Haryana, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Telangana) remains getting that student visa to earn quick buck to support themselves financially, chiefly, save up to dole out to so called ‘assignment writers’ which helps them pass the course to further graduate and transfer to a grad visa (again comes at a cost) which allows them 2 years worth of stay with no working hour stipulation post graduation. Thereon, work full time in laborious jobs with again not focussing on applying to full time opportunities in the field of study. Thus, what remains at the end of the day is lost time and opportunity and since I am only talking of people who come here on a Student VISA so primarily, the opportunity cost lost to upskill and further horizons. For the country’s perspective, getting cheap, skilled labour for an unskilled job is obviously an advantage but then there are cases of students not respecting their working hour restrictions, vandalising, bickering loudly, joining hands with the already operating extremist forces which instigate violence and hatred etc. In all, I think the resistance to not becoming bicultural which is a product of serious mental and physical toil and wasting time in frivolity is the main cause of the anti-immigration wave.

Let us look for opportunities at home first. Let us be better citizens. We have a Prime Minister whom the world admires ...... unfortunately the world do not admire his people as much.

Hilarious that not so long ago Palki was in Oxford giving a speech about how powerful India passport is. Apparently according to her the Immigration officer in the UK was impressed about her Indian passport.lolzz. Indian passport holders and quite unfortunately Indian citizens/Indian subcontinent folks are some of the least respected people around the world. People who travelled around the world can relate to this easily. I am not gonna blame the govt completely for this issue. Im from Tamilnadu and while abroad i worked in shell for a shutdown i saw north indians workers spitting pan just before the englishmen and I, as an engineer from the same nationality as these backward people have to feel 2nd hand embarrassment for what these people do.\nMany in kerala and Tamilnadu behave well and have good manners. Unfortunately the majority of north Indians are like this excluding some guys who are very well behaved than me. Not out of hate but out of frustration.

Unfortunately, there has to be some criteria by which each country has to make a judgement. I do not understand why she is cribbing here. There is this guy who keeps going on international trips and everyone in India for gaga over the importance he brings to India through those trips. What happened? Not working? Who should be weilding it? Is it not the Government? Do they really care if an individual or a lot of their citizen's visa get rejected? They are busy painting a rosy picture to their blind followers. They abuse and mock organizations that put down the ranking of our country instead of understanding the reason behind those ranking. They have no data to contradict the agencies but use rhetoric and everyone seems to be happy about it.\n\nWhy has this lady not put in any thought on the other possible reasons for rejections that could be because of the applicants? The easiest thing to do is blame other countries for the rejection without thinking why certain types of countries reject and what has our citizens done in those countries? No point in thinking about a few people who helped build Dubai or those one of cases like Pichai & Nadella. Think of those who go their and cause concern to those countries.

They are doing right thing. You go to submit any document at BLS which is unfortunately front offices of Indian embassies, you come back frustrated and angry. They are masters of finding faults, keep on changing required forms. It seems unrelated but I tell you support for India with Indian community is dwindling. We no longer write angry emails to politicians for rejection of visas to Indians.

Issue raised by legit visa applicants. Unfortunately actions of many of their fellow countrymen such misused of visa have make a dent on them.

Indians should do what most Arabs are doing. Fot USA go through Mexico, before the wall is finished. For Europe, enter through Turkey, Greece or Spain. But unfortunately all those illigal paths are controlled by Islamic mafia that's corrupting the western system.

This may be a blessing in disguise to India . I say this not to bring any offence as visa denials are highly prevalent, not only in Canada but in other countries as well. The positive side to this Palki is that India will not suffer brain drain for this season until a new season of visas is granted.
