Im about an hour away from toronto and its just as bad in small towns \nJob shortages\nCrazy home/rent prices \nHomelessness \nFood is gold \n\nIve noticed too that if you divide the money the government says there spending on the homless issue by the amount of homeless in given area said tax money is allocated too you seem to get crazy high numbers so quite clearly they profit off this somehow so why would they ever want the problem to end

I would disagree with the cost of groceries. I still think it's quite reasonable here. House is outrageous though. I wouldn't say that health care is bad but it's not great. You'll have to wait for chronic issue but for immediate help we do oretty well. I'd ask to look at the life expectancy and death rate to prove otherwise. A big problem is a lack of good paying jobs.

Try coming to London Ontario, you want to investigate a serious homeless issue and drugs, I'd say it's just as bad or worse because it's a smaller city with the same issues

Inflation is higher than what they say.. real estate prices are out of touch with the actual wages and salaries.. cost of food is unbelievable… rent is ridiculous.. Wages are laughable.. taxes are insane.. we are also taxed on so many things on top of income tax such as .environment, carbon, plastic, sugar tax etc… it is insane.. Healthcare is going through crisis… Getting MRI takes ages.. So now they wanna bring 500k in the midst of all this ? It is going to screw us more .. I also feel sorry for the migrants who are moving out here with lots of hope and ambitions… I also feel sorry for us .. stress = mental health issues….. This government screwed each one of us.. what they are doing doesn’t make any sense to me. They are out of touch with reality.. Most of these immigrants come into Canada have no skills nothing I am a skilled tradesmen and I see what’s going on. It’s very scary not saying that the immigrants coming in or bad it’s just they have no skills and we have young people here that are born in Canada, that could be better to set the skill skill trade. Somehow people say they left Canada, or they planning to leave. But never say where to. Obviously, the grass is greener somewhere, but where exactly? I hear the same stories (expensive real estate, bad infrastructure, inadequate healthcare, rising crime, etc.) about almost any country.

I'm only halfway through but feel I need to comment and well I'm not exactly a new Canadian. But I was born the but grew up in New Zealand. And well why not . I moved over there in 2014 with full rights as a citizen. My trade wasn't recognised. Canada has its own rules about everything. You need to have training to pour drinks in a bar wtf.! But yea I came wanting a better life and well thankfully I wound up in Calgary so eventually I had the money to leave. And come home where know having seen the Canadian shit show I'm killing it here. It saddens me and yes I was that asshole that got trudeau on there cos I seen one rousing speech where he invoked his dad Pierre. And I fell for it. And not to lie I look old Canadian so I fit right in English is my first language and all that. And funnily enough it was the first time in my life where I could say fucking immigrants. It's a brutal place a brutal work climate and well there's a lot that's nice but when it's bad it's dog ear dog. I feel really sad about what's happening, all the mass illegal immigration and yet your a criminal for noticing it. A lot is very wrong, don't get me wrong nz is doing all the same shit too. I went to Canada for prosperity and to change my life lesson I learnt was go home ans do better and that's fucked.

Sad to say but Canada will be a very tough place to not only live but to thrive in, at least for the next decade. Not worth it, maybe come back 2 years after the Conservatives win and have started fixing some things in 2027. Canada is a country that is built on middle class where a large part of the population are within the same earning range. There are positives to this, less crime, there is not a huge disparity between rich and poor which makes for a more sane environment don’t get me wrong, we still have our crime rate. Now you can see that the professional programs are limited compared to other countries in the universities and highly competitive so that you don’t have so many professionals with high earning power thereby creating a huge disparity. On the other hand, these high earners don’t get a tax return, get any govt cheque, their kids don’t get huge amounts for OSAP instead, they get billed to pay back the govt and that’s how those of you complaining now where able to get govt cheques when you just relocated, support low income homes and newly landed immigrants. There’s free health, good Ammenities, snow is cleared, the roads are salted and de iced, free Education, govt loans and school loans that’s where your tax money goes to. Everyone has an accent that’s your identity why will you feel somehow or intimidated when you are told you have an accent that’s being timid say yes I have an accent it’s African or Caribbean etc. About racism it’s rare never experienced it that’s not saying it doesn’t happen but am gonna call you out if it’s obvious I have been profiled. Yes the weather is harsh did you not look at your map before relocating ?? In all most of these complaints are individual experiences so I won’t invalidate it but don’t trash what you gained from. Retraining and certification is a must especially when you are coming from a certain country and it’s not a bad idea. Am in healthcare and retraining is a must if you didn’t school here cos it’s entirely different talk about work ethics, equipments, software, differentiation in policies, health laws and malpractice laws.\nLook at the brighter side of life and stop complaining migration has its pros and cons position yourself in a place to have a good life, go back to school, get certified, keep retraining and adding value to your certificate.

People saying that Toronto is bad, and it's gone downhill past 5 years but you could say that about any country and any city. Covid Struck, two wars happening and a little economic shipping route battle as well!!! I think every immigrant is a seeker , I'm from India , people move to metro cities like Mumbai or delhi for better life , then they move further if they get better opportunities so some have made it to Canada or other countries what so ever ,if someone would say some bad points about the country then there would be some judging asking questions like if we don't like it here , why don't you come back .... What i think if a person gets opportunity and is seeking to grow for a job or anything must just keep seeking to the best place to settle.

Consider republic Islamic of Mauritania though I can't say it's the best choice but not that bad for children islamic education. Dubai is a great choice but I am not sure there's a librity of speech in golf cities or countries in general. UK is very good I saw that many people went there after being bullied as Muslims in Sweden or afraid that their children will be took away from them. It has a great islamic comunity. Hongkong is good too for its international schools but liberty of speech again is a problem.

I say come to Australia. Buuuuuuuuuuut ..... I may be a little biased!! ? And to be honest, as I do not follow Islam or the Quran, I have no idea what the Islamic community is like here. Personally, I don't pay attention to that. A person is good or a person is bad. I guess some are shaded grey. I guess I view the world as the wrapping is not a good indicator of the gift inside.

My family moved 22 years ago from Mumbai to Toronto…while the struggles said on your channel are real, there are also perks which I feel like you didn’t get to experience. If people have good jobs, stable family life then DON’T move…culture shock is huge that people moving from India don’t consider, just by wearing and eating western food doesn’t make you western! \nThere are sacrifices to be expected which you don’t realized as your great grandparents or grandparents might have made when they started out! \nMoving to another country is never easy, unless you’re loaded with $$$. People in India are lazy as they have people working for them and don’t realize how difficult it is living outside of that lifestyle (not everyone in India can afford housekeepers, cleaners). Being independent and doing things on your own has its own positive (just need to figure it out). \n\nI have worked in healthcare for 16 years and let me tell you…social system works better as everyone gets the health service without being judged about $$. Healthcare is based on priority around the world but people don’t understand this as they feel like their problem should be attended first no matter what! \nNot all drugs are legal in Canada, marijuana is legal though with acceptable limits…you probably were misinformed about drugs! Teach your kids about right /wrong when it comes to drugs, smoking, alcohol and that’s the best you can do! I know people who live in India and do all that which you mentioned you were worried about for your kids. \n\nWhat you experienced was a classic case of culture shock and your expectations didn’t match the reality! Moving away from family, changing lifestyle and being responsible adult (doing things on your own rather than relying on workers) is difficult but doesn’t make the country bad that have you an opportunity to settle! Don’t take things for granted even while you live in India…appreciate the effort that goes into everything- keeping roads clean, people working hard, etc. \n\nBest advice I can give to those considering moving to any foreign country is: Keep an open mind, be ready to work hard and visit the country you want to move to before you make the grave decision of uprooting everything! Things usually turn around and get better after 5 years mark- focus on upgrading your education if you have a basic degree from India (even you know how competitive things are in India, so how can western world not be!)\n\nBeing vegetarian- things are tough when it comes to food but living in Toronto has never been an issue. Even people living in India avoid outside food due to hygiene reason which is not a problem in Canada as food inspection is pretty strict (having worked with ministry of health). \nCities like Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal, etc has variety of food options (including veg)…just have to be really open to trying other cultural food (Asian, Mediterranean, Italian,Mexican, etc). My parents are strict vegetarians and have never truly struggled when they are out. \n\nCost of living is definitely higher as the standard living is higher compared to India. Education (until grade 12) and healthcare are free (in reality, you pay tax for it), you get pension when you retire (based on your contributions and type of jobs you had)…you failed to navigate the system and I will say having family around is why you didn’t take opportunity to explore and learn on your own. \n\nPlease don’t come to Canada and make life difficult for other Indians who choose to willingly accept the culture and lifestyle here after going through this hardship- cost of living and housing has gone up dramatically in major cities because of immigration influx! If you’re serious about moving and putting up, only then move! Otherwise all the best for your future endeavours!
