Our country is broken.... and it's getting worse by the day.

No wonder people do not want to rent out nowadays with disgusting rogue tenants like these. The system is broken. And the govt does not give a damn to fix it. The govt is equally responsible along with these rogue tenants for this ugly mess, all the govt wants is to tax vacant condo home owners for their own policy blunders and lethargic system. Who in the right mind would want to rent out after seeing this. My sympathies go out to these condo home owners for the plight they are in who are running from pillar to post to get their dues and to get these rogue tenants evicted.

This could be a story about Australia where exactly the same thing has been done by our government, the housing market is broken and the large numbers of so called skilled migrants end up driving Ubers or trucks. Large scale rorting of the visa system by international students has been occurring for over a decade.

I live in BC, have lived in my community and owned a home here for 47 years. At my local Walmart I rarely hear English spoken, even by employees. One time, the cashier held up an item to the white woman in front of me, and asked her in broken English, “what is this called” to which she replied “celery” and he asks “how to spell?” so he could key it in. He did that with several items. While serving me, another Walmart employee comes over and speaks to him NOT in English, for 3 min, while I’m waiting to be served. I calmly said “excuse me, this is Canada and we speak English in Canada.” This happens all the time. Very annoying.

Canada is so broken now. I came here in 2010, it was amazing back then. Now, every single day I regret not moving out of Canada earlier and not changing my career on time. There is no living standard now and its about surviving now. Everything I am earning is just going towards bills and tickets. The cops are everywhere giving fines for smallest of mistakes to make sure refugees and asylum seekers get paid almost $2000 every month. Also, if you are making above $90K household wise, you are done, you cannot get so many benefits from the government. Basically, now working in Canada means paying for lifestyle of lazy people.

Canada needs people for low end/tough jobs, but also high end jobs. The problem is importing a bunch of people into a broken system is not going to do anything but cause problems for the most part. Canada should have invested in the people already here, change the laws and policies, get rid of the red tape and have common sense legislation.

It's about time! I'm an immigrant who never collected unemployment, welfare etc. I worked as an RN by working and going to school. The riff raffs around makes me so angry. Finally a report that calls it the way it is. Canada is broken, all the services our tax dollars support are redirected to the new Canadians. There are no services available to me, after paying taxes for more then 40 years. Housing, rentals are outrageously priced, what once cost $800 a month a few years ago, is now $1,500 for the exact same unit. \n\nThe Canadians that built this country with their tax contributions are being shut out of all the services and we can't afford to live in our own country. Even immigrants don't want to live here anymore. Canada is broken!\n\nthere are a lot of reports that show immigrants using foodbanks like a grocery store. Food banks are not grocery stores, they are there to help people who are not able to buy food. Foreign students are expected to be able to support themselves while in Canada as foreign students. They lie about having the money to get in, then when they get here they complain, take our housing, our jobs (Ukrainians can work in Canada as soon as their plane lands, after receiving $3,000 in cash from the government of Canada).\n\nCanadians are treated as second class citizens, priority is given to new Canadians. There are absolutely no services available to me, no doctor, no affordable housing, double the price for food, no medical, nothing....

I've said this before and I'll say it again\n\nits a problem of quantity over quality.\n\nmost of the immigrants who are not able to sustain themselves are not fit and came via study permits to open or non existing universities, refugees or a broken PR system which favours people on incorrect criterias than their experience and background.

Add in greed driven inflation by the oil & grocery giants and there is no extra money for rent. Now poilievre wants back in power, when he’s had 20 years and done nothing to increase housing, and pander to those exact same conglomerates. Meanwhile, our interest rates keep going down according to plan, the housing bubble has leveled, & progress is being made. Canada isn’t broken, we just have to keep working on it.

To anyone thinking about coming to Canada, DON'T. Everything in this video is true. Canada is broken mainly by our corrupt Liberal/NDP government.

I am going to tell you all the truth. I moved away from Canada in 2006 and lived in China up until 2019 (moved back to Canada). I saw China develop into a superpower, hiccups and inflation galore. But taxes are relatively fair and the opportunity to build something was always present. I find Canada has become a terrible choice especially now (totally neutral standpoint). If you didn't get into the housing market pre-pandemic, it will be harsh and you will be either a mortgage or tenant slave. The taxes are outrageous, utilities, insurance... these items are MUCH higher than China (and most countries). Owning a vehicle comes with high costs and you basically need one if you don't live in a top tier city. And then you are overpaying in living costs. Income tax (25-60%), property tax (about a month's salary), HST (13%)... and what do you get in return? A broken healthcare system, more freedoms (debatable), your children learning about woke agendas? An inadequate pension? If you are not in the top 5-10% (and I am), this is a very bad deal. My advice is to try to earn online with a passion and live in a location where you can actually save. Coming to Canada for the experience is great. But trying to build up in Canada is not a great choice. I am on the winning side warning you, Canada is saturated... look elsewhere.

Canada is a success story. It’s not broken, but our governance practices and our government institutions are in urgent need of repair. Over many years, successive federal governments and generations of public servants have played a key role in setting the nation’s policy direction, working productively with the private sector and provinces on shared issues, and delivering for Canadians. But that’s not where we are today.\nIt’s time to restore public confidence in government’s ability to get things done. If we can do that, everyone wins.

Taxes in Canada are AT LEAST 50% of your income when you have to spend the other half on rent there is NOTHING LEFT FOR FOOD!!!!!!!!!! or fuel or clothing or any maintenance on anything you own! Canada is 100% broken DO NOT COME HERE!!!!! STAY AWAY!!!!!!
