Canada lets psychopath killers roam free everyday that have intentionally killed people. Those killers are allowed to walk free among us and can legally change their name so nobody knows who they are or what they’ve done. This man made a mistake, many lives were lost , but, he has owned up to it, shown remorse and should not be deported. He didn’t use the insanity plea he choose to face it head on. He deserves to stay in Canada.

When you first get here many people don’t know what to make of you and you get what seems to be the cold shoulder. \nIt gets hard to value the sentiments of the people around you. This can make you more open to navigating around the system. \nFor some who are from environments that have a lot of cheating normalized it’s worse so. \nWhen you get a feel for the environment that dissipates mostly but I do notice that quite a few from India have a lot of this mindset. You see it in class from several other cultures as well. I don’t know the solution. Maybe just time. \n.

And, guess what, they didn’t want the natives to live in peace. And for every other things.\n\nUnfortunately, what the colonizers didn’t foresee is that someday, the same natives would overcome all the hurdles with their hard work and determination to overshadow the colonial past, and to succeed past the so called colonizers.\n\nIf the Brits hadn’t colonized India, probably Indians wouldn’t be immigrating to Western English speaking nations. Most likely they wouldn’t have learned English. Oh wait, if they haven’t colonized any part of the world, we wouldn’t have seen these English speaking western countries and have no problem with the immigration issues. \n\nCan we change the past??? Unfortunately, nope! But karma always kicks back in. What was done in the past, comes back 10 folds in the future.\n\nLast thing I want to say is that I no way means to support the bad things. I believe that we are all humans, not that being white is a privilege and being black as underprivileged, undermined,………It was funny to see in the video that people still differentiate and being proud for being white. Being a brown person is in fact a good thing medically. \n\nWe all need to find means to live in harmony and not create nuisance or bother others, be it an immigrant, outsider, natives, local, westerners…..\n\nLet’s make the world a better place to live in peace and harmony. Who said they don't want to go home? Canada invites international students with a promise to give them PR if they can finish school and qualify using one of the programs. I know because that's how I came to Canada. Unlike the US where it's hard to stay and you need a marriage, in Canada you can use a qualifying job. Usually people sponsored by family to get PR, as well as refugees, are put ahead of international students as well as those on work permits. \n\nIn the meantime, International students over-pay into post secondary, as well as working off campus and paying taxes, but are always last in line when it comes to being granted PR. The rules change so much so fast, it's easy to find yourself out of time and kicked out of the country. \n\nSo whoever watches this will be happy that International students are getting kicked out, but the problem with too much immigration won't be solved because the country is still taking in so many refugees. Right now it's international students getting the axe and are the scape goats in ths game. \n\nAlso, the reason why Canada takes in more immigrants beyond the obvious, is because they want to eventually do away with property rights. So while people can cheer kicking out international students, it doesn't prevent the inevitable from happening, because the politicians took in too many new people.. \n\nAnyway, good luck to everyone, from either side of this debate, it's bad news all around wharever the final outcome.

Canada is a corporation and I guess the more immigrants WE have then the GDP looks better. I am a Canadian and my mother was born here and my grandmother came to Canada in 1907 from the USA when she was 7 years old. I was born in the 1940s and brought up in rural surroundings. Back then We had traditional beliefs and I had farming background. Connection of relatives and helping our neighbours were how We lived. I became a schoolteacher. I saw that in 1954 when I went to school that learning was not natural and it was fear based. Then I completed a dip. of ed psy and then I decided that if I ever wanted to help change the system that I would require at least an m. ed. - leadership. I knew the university I went to would not be able to say no to me when I applied to get into this program. However, I was too much of an negative influence on the younger students and had to finish the last couple of classes at home and which I did. Today, the families have been divided, people do not connect or communicate properly and I have to question what living skills did I learn? Instead, my head was filled with propaganda which sadly, I've had to relearn. I say, stay in your own country and fix it there. Indian has some wonder ancient wisdoms for healing and health. The OWNERS of our nations like the banking families realize that when new immigrates come in that they assimilate more, and the older generations begin to question what THEY were taught and why. I remember when say a barn burned down or one had to be built that neighbours would help build the barn for the farmer. Then we would all celebrate and the women would get together and cook the food and we would have a barn dance. Life was simple then, but connection was authentic and we didnt lose ourselves. We must know ourselves and our history or we are lost and so many people live in chaos and ignorance. Learn to become our Divine selves. Learn to understand that WE are living in a fictional world when We are educated to be who we are not.

I respect people who comes from other countries and working their ass off. Maybe too many around but at least they are hard workers .. I have never seen homeless,drug addict indian person to be honest.What I witness is, some people don't appreciate that they are priviliged to born in such a good country like Canada ,but people who is coming from poor and corrupted countries absolutely knows what is to be priviliged and they appreciate it.Also, you cannot deny a visa because they are coming from India. BC is ,highly populated with Asians as well.Again,you cannot deny a visa because they are coming from Asia.

They need to go home…..I was born in PEI and lived here all my life….it is so sad what has happened on our little island…media has people believing that no one here wants to work so we need these immigrants…..that is not true….i know many young people from here that can’t get a job…there are no doctors, apartments are all full, and our cost of living is through the roof…..our premier is so busy filling his pockets and doesn’t give a hoot about us……thank you True North for reporting this

What a stupid video. I know loads of people who moved to Canada recently or are trying to. Also, many love it there.

I lived in Ottawa all my life...maybe 2015, they started coming in so fast, I've never really seen so many Indians...now they're all over the place. Not saying it's a bad thing. Just what I've noticed. And lately I have been seeing them in Gatineau but knowing Quebec has new French rule, this may not want them to go live in QC. I think Vancouver has a lot of Chinese and Indians. Just the way it is. They say white people had it too easy and just demanded more from the government whereas Asians will come here for a better life, possibly doing labor work and not complain, so is this is the government is accepting of them? Are they helping with the economy? I am not sure where where all these numbers are coming from.

I find it funny how you are blaming indians for all the white people going poor in the city. Out of all the white people you interviewed, how many were white Doctors? how many owned businesses? How many Owned a gas station? These are all things that high skilled Punjabi immigraants bring to the table. Also willing to work their butts off, 18 hour shifts with a smile on their face. No complaining. I mean its easy to blame immigrants for stealing all your wealth when you don't have any real skills. The man they are interviewing is right on point about almost everything. He knows his stuff. The point he made about the druggies not wanting to follow the rules is absolutely correct. I have heard that more times than I can count. Many people dont want to get off drugs and they do not want to stop if they get housing. What weak people. Useless humans.

Ive lived in brampton for 5 years. Yes we do have a good number of our people here. \nTalking about temples, thats what indian people do, we are religous. And i dont see anything wrong with having our temples built the traditional way. The city had no issue with it thats how they got permits to build. \nWhy so many of us live here …. Brampton is located very close to all major cities in gta. It has a good public\nTransport network…. A lot of colleges both convenient for the students. And more over the govt did not specify where new commers should go. \nI thought canada was always a land of immigrants from hundreds of years so dont know when they say too many of us here. We came like others…. Did the paperwork… got approved for visa. Students pay 3x the money for the same course a canadian would pay. Its contributing to the economy.

Misinformation. I know half a dozen people personally who have moved to Canada and several more who want to. The fact is it’s performing better in many metrics such as life expectancy, overall health and education than most of the world, including the USA.

On the idea of adopting culture, did eurpeans adopt culture of Natives, where are the Natives, to which land did they go to? The culture of those who created residential schools what culture of values is that culture? Was it not that Natives of this land forced off the land, forced into schools taken away from the parents? What happened to treaty rights? We were welcomed here. We did not invade. We did not force our culture on to others. True many immigrants have come is this the fault of those who choose to have pets and no babies? is it the fault of governments promoting smaller house holds in which no parents live with the childern to help raise grandchildren due to expences. It was the coroporations that made the split of family here. This is also causing Indians of older generations to leave the parents, to live a free lifestyle. who will rasie the children? and who will help the parents when they are too old? 100 years back Christians had the same culture of Indians. Parents, grandparents and babis lived in the same household helping one another. Less cars, less insurance, spliting the costs, no baby sitting fees, no old age homes. Know even in India adopting the west coroporate culture have old folks homes. The media and TV in bed with coroporations have made people selfish that they will not stay together. Indians are in the same postion as whites. The older gen is left to fend for them selves, in the coming gen who will baby sit the kids, they to will get pets, it will be too expensive for them to have kids.

Just because you had the privilege and the means to be developed does not give you the right to demean other nations. It's really nothing that you did, it's just pure luck, right place, right time, white superiority, destruction and so on which enables you to live such privileged lives and now you are crying when people are actually working hard to provide some competition.\n\nDon't you think regardless of race or ethnicity, every human being deserves the best life? \n\nBefore you judge a country do some research. \n\nYes, the people in general have a different thought process where in prominence is not given to space, way of living, probably you can put it up as standard of living and the quality of thought process. In the information sector and other highly skilled areas, they are present earning loads of money which reverberates to more tax money for the government. \n\nI know that they have major issue with absorbing the host country culture and I believe that can probably or maybe alleviated by having some cultural programs so that they can fit into the society so that the Canadian culture is upheld. It's always difficult to see changes around you and your home being in your words being raided by foreign entities. Guess what? The world is filled with different ethnic groups. Hundreds of years ago all your native homes were part of the indigenous people here and they didn't even have time to complain or lament online when the Europeans butchered them and massacred their homelands, claiming the land and setting up as their own. Now you are in a position to call something your home and we all know what all your ancestors did regardless of how good you are right now. The least you can do is not comment such provocatively online against other ethnicities or is this atrocity still there in your blood. It's very simple. Try to think beyond frustration and be grateful for what you have. \n\nBy the way I can write more but I don' think it's worth my time but maybe positive things can happen if you put your mind into.

@Harrison, there a bunch of holes in your story an thus superficial or lacking, yet has potential to be more Canadian in that you need to differentiate a bit more, attention in the details that you may have missed, votebank, Punjab province certain cluster of uncouth or gang type, instead of drawing in all religions and races and the best educated like how the US does with it, instead of a votebank cluster, that make up only 3% of the Indian population, yet 50% of Brampton, yet Canada is slower to do such. As I hope you know that, in that in Canada a city doesn’t usually choose newcomers directly factors of, ethnocentrism, pricing, etc are.  \n\nIt was or used to be that newcomers in many cases had to move to less populated centres i.e. in Saskatchewan/Manitoba etc, to help make the place more profitable and big as born Canadians usually didn’t want to move there. You should dig deeper instead of the old squeaky rhetoric repeating, you forget to mention Gurudwaras do have langar known as no charge meal, but you have potential to be known and yet ask people if they or why they are or aren’t willing to integrate. I mean Canadians are gonna be more agressive in the future. Its just too many immigrants now. I really want to know if they would be pissed off if more white people came to Canada. Dude is just making money as a side hustle.

That’s the thing…. In Canada, you don’t have to be strategic about where you move. Most places are welcoming. We still have some racism and issues, but I know many people of different colours and cultures that have never experienced racism in Canada. We allow others to practice whatever religion you want, as long as you don’t hurt other people. We don’t unalive each other over religion or politics. To a Canadian, the United States is not a first world country. It’s where you go to lose your rights and freedoms.

What abt the First Nations in Canada? It is their land. Where are they? I think not many people know abt the Native Canadians. Other than First Nations, Rest r all immigrants in Canada.

I know its a two side issue (Indian and Canadian). But I would blame our present govt for letting so many international students from a specific country. They didn't even bother to estimate the demographics of people who they are letting in. When you are looking for multiculturalism then set a quota from each country rather then only from one country. And also must make sure they speak english or French and at the same time adapt to our rules and culture.

I'm Canadian and I don't recommend coming here. I wish I stayed in Taiwan. Also, were you rejected by the US? Many people end up here if they don't get into the US. We don't have the housing, healthcare and education etc to support more immigrants. It can also be really hard in the US if you don't have a higher income and health insurance. If you have the latter, you're ok. I have retired American friends in MI with decent income and health insurance and their health care experience is good. But no health insurance in the US isn't good. Canada's public health care has long been dying. I don't know why we're taking more people in when our systems can't deal with it to begin with.

Hey I’m Canadian and I feel bad new comers coming here looking to realize a better life when the reality of that matter the things they can access and freedoms they can have will be limited. There’s a serious medical access and to find a family doctor or wait 12 hours at the hospital. Also when people are professionals like engineers or doctors they have to start from scratch that’s amazing how many doctors or other high level professionals I met as a waiter, taxi driver, working min wage in a store…Oh boy the insane proportions of the housing is ridiculous to say the least. There’s people with 9-5 making 50k at the food banks, now low income people make less wayyy less. So I think they are even turning away international students. It’s quite unfortunate and not realistic. I live in Montreal. You know to know french here Quebec french. Well the increase in crime is because people are getting desperate and are in poverty and desperate. What n unfortunate situation.

It's all over. We're becoming the minority in our own country, and I don't think that the Indian people here are interested in becoming a part of Canadian culture at all. At least not that I've ever seen. They keep to themselves. Nothing against them but that's what I see. It's hard to get to know many of them if they will only ever speak to you or speak English if they absolutely have to.

Is there a smart they won’t come to Canada because even right now Canadians are on the street. It’s just not a good time. Canadians are good people it’s not their fault. It’s not the screw goes right back to Trudeau. All the cared about was making money and that is it charging immigrants so much you know what I mean and getting money from the government but it’s not going I believe to the migrants it’s not even going to the Canadian citizens. She had no money to buy the diabetes medication so she killed her self with the assistant help of Canada. They were murdering people and then inviting immigrants in, how does that make sense?. Lifetime Canadian here; housing crisis for sure, but what`s even more insidious is many entry level jobs such as fast food industry, production workers in factories, and even culturally significant cornerstones such as Canadian Tires are being owned and operated by East Indians, going so far as to play Indian music over their loudspeakers for us Canadians (both at a McDonald`s and at a Canadian Tire). It`s obnoxious and border lining on reverse racism; because trust me, these people will drive out all the nationals, and replace them with their own temporary workers, whom they have much more control over, and are likely infringing on human rights concerns (taking passports, multiple human occupancy housing), it`s a mess here. If you live in Ontario, Alberta (lots of Indian corruption there and in BC) and British Columbia, you know exactly what I am talking about.\n\nI am actively trying to get out of Ontario and ultimately and ideally, Canada.

I moved to Canada as a child with my parents 41 years ago. It isn't just inflation and cost of living that is the problem. It's the dramatically increasing racism and discrimination, even against people who have been living in this country longer than the racists discriminating against them. Seriously? This is not the Canada that I came to as a child, grew up in, or have lived and worked in for many decades. I made the mistake of working around the world for a short time and picking up an accent that wasn't even mine originally. I had a Canadian accent before finishing elementary school. To come back to be asked to go home or 'we don't want your sort here' is not just simple racism, but hatred that makes me regret ever having agreed to taking on Canadian citizenship. My kids and grandchildren have Canadian accents and were Canadians from birth. But should they leave and return to the same crap??? What disgusts me more is that the PM dares to include immigrants with refugees, under the banner that 30% of the population are immigrants. Under the law, refugees are temporary migrants and usually nothing more. To bundle immigrants who came to Canada through legal means of applications, brought hundreds of millions dollars into Canada with them of their own hard-earned money from their own countries, to have it taxed out of them, and their families deliberately put into poverty so Canada can fulfil its 19th century-PM Macdonald immigration policy of, and I quote from a Canadian federal government website, quoting PM Macdonald directly, about breeding out the Indigeneous people, is beyond sick! The refugees get a free ride at the expense of hard-working Canadians, 90% of whom came from immigrant stock! What happens when Trudeau says these deceitful lies about legal immigrants is that the racism and discrimination increases dramatically. I have been left in agony in hospital due to evil racist Canadians who thought that my accent meant that I had just flown in yesterday and what right did I have to be there? Police refused to charge a neighbor whose son was threatening the life of my grandchild because the neighbor works for the CRA! Other people have the same complaints. Democracy? What democracy, oh, and please spare us Mr. Trudeau the claim to be a constitutional monarchy, when most don't want the monarchy as a head of state for Canada! I have been honored to have known, still know, and will know in the future, many good, hard-working, caring and decent Canadians, but Mr. Trudeau, can you explain to me, how many of those were actually of immigrant stock and how many have forgotten where their families came from? Canada used to be a good country, but when a person has to keep explaining where they got their job experience from and if they have any Canadian experience for every time that they look for a job in their lifetime in Canada, something is very wrong with Canada. Most jobs in Canada are blue collar and very few are white collar, yet Canada still continues to deceive the world into believing otherwise. Canada is a great vast and beautiful land, but only a small percentage of it has any infrastructure, roads, or homes sufficient to house what is a decreasing fraction of society. Refugees take preference over immigrants and citizens alike. The lie about the homeless is getting bigger. Most homeless Canadians today are veterans, elderly, disabled, mentally ill, poor, and professionals and trades people, yet Canada brings in countless professionals, claiming that their education and experience will get them into the professions that they are coming from. It's all a scam! Canadian education is not the best and yet people with better educations and job experience are being forced to spend all their money to go back to university or college to get jobs that they rarely will be hired for. Canada is not short of doctors, just short of professionals who hire professionals without using discrimination, hatred and racism for their HR kit! Many taxi drivers are doctors, engineers, and so on. So, please stop lying to the world and tell the truth. And no doubt this entry will be taken down because it offends a Canadian who doesn't want the world to know the truth.

700,000 of the 1.1 million that came to Canada are students. The international student system needs to be overhauled. The university/colleges who want international students must register with the feds. Those with permits MUST BE MADE to build, own, and provide international students with housing. When an international student is offered a placement in a Canadian education institution, they are also offered housing built by that institution. Once acceptance is made, then the details are sent to the feds and the visa is finally issued. This way, everyone who comes, has housing, it takes pressure off the domestic housing market, the students themselves know where they are going to be and how much things will cost, including the housing, and the Canadian institutions who want the stdents, have to now pay for them. This will force the education institutions to build more housing, lower the number of students they bring in, and offer much more remote learning opportunities if the program really does not require the students to come at all. Pass the bill onto the institutions, and the problem will quickly resolve. The federal government is being LAZY. If it wants people, it has to focus on a system that makes sense for people to come to Canada, insure the institutions dont take advantage of these students AND NOT shift the housing problem to the domestic market. The federal and provincial governments also need to organize themselves with each other. The provinces should tell the federal government how many they can take in based on housing stock and unemployment rate, and the feds only grant visas based on those numbers, and the visas require those coming to be in the province that has space for them. This way, you help to take pressure off the larger cities and spread growth to areas of the country that wants the growth. The approach needs to be bottom up, so needs and capacity drive the numbers allowed in.

This lack of access to health care is a new thing. I agree with your assessment. It now seems lonelier in Toronto. \n\nCanada used to be different because anyone with a good job could afford at least a condo, but life became unaffordable not just for immigrants, but for everyone unless you are in your 50s-60s and own a home. \n\nI have friends working double jobs supporting family back home in other countries, but for some of them the family back home sound like they are doing better than them and own a home. It’s like they are sacrificing their life to be in poverty or full of hardships and their families get to go out for dinners and drinks with friends. Not them. Not true for everyone, but for some yes and I worry about their own retirement because retirement in Canada without lots of savings means you might be homeless or forced to live with family even if it’s not your preference. \n\n without investments and savings, it will be hard to beat inflation. Getting into debt and getting bad credit can mean not getting an apartment. \n\nThe birth rate is going down because it is expensive to have kids and income isn’t enough to match with living costs. Getting help from government is really not something everyone gets access too. One person might get housing support, 10 others may get nothing. Different governments offer different things. Programs end and change often. \n\nIn Canada definitely bargain and shop around for good phone plans. one idea is to get a pay as you go until “Black Friday” then every year or two when your good offer expires there will be many others. It’s the time with the best deals saving almost half. For instance, I have 50 gigs for $25 for two years from a large provider. Telephone companies are the one place where people must bargain and even ask for better deals as a must.\n\nThe people you see living in big houses, will have kids that can’t afford the same. This is because prices keep rising. The system protects the very rich, but will also drain the middle class often within 1-2 generations. Do not link your business to your personal finance, or creditors can take your home. Some not knowing this lose everything and rich people know better. \n\nPeople live until they are very old, so inheritance is pretty much meaningless to rely on, so no matter what your parents have you must hustle in life. \n\nI do think Canada can become what we want over time. Citizens need to fight the trend of great community spaces, restaurants and bars going out of business and dumb corporations move in with bad boring restaurants. Like a McDonald’s where maybe a popular cultural hang out was. \n\nPart of the problem is a lack of mixed income housing areas, so it’s hard to stay living where you grew up. Artists and musicians help make a city great, but many cannot afford to live here.\n\nFamilies and communities staying together means more support for those with young kids and older relatives when they need help. Yet how is this possible in a city that is always pushing out lower income people when wealthier people desire the area. \n\nIn Toronto, every time you move you have to take what is available and that might mean moving an hour away from everyone you know. This weakens communities. Plus, if you live too far from your work you will have no time to socialize for most the week due to travel time. \n\nI think those who grew up in Toronto do have a certain culture of acceptance with others from many cultures, because your friends at school were from all over. But with new migrants sometimes it isn’t until the second generation that their social circles get diverse. This can be isolating and it’s even isolating as those from Toronto eventually leave dreaming of staying in one spot and not forced to move constantly when a landlord investor sells every house you move into. \n\n\nToronto really needs to protect affordability of housing for at least some housing in every section so that people can save money if they live in the city, and not have to leave their communities and be far from their friends and family. \n\notherwise eventually people get sick of the hustle and it’s too tiring to travel 1+ hrs each way to visit someone during Monday to Friday. \n\n20 years ago any professional could at least buy a condo. Not today. There is too much competition now and investors are allowed to buy up all the most affordable housing that once was a pathway to owning a home. \n\nRich policy makers got greedy and destroyed canada and hopefully diversity in leadership will help make Canada better. But they perhaps people knew to Canada can reject this lonely structure and help us rebuild Toronto into an amazing place. \n\nWe need to make sure everyone can afford housing with 30% of their income. Until 2020 (pandemic), most lifelong Canadians would have proudly & quickly said Canada is a great place. For multiple generations (young & old). It still is in many ways. But like all countries, a bunch of things have made life more difficult lately. \n \nDuring the COVID lockdowns, many people went wild wanting to buy a house (urban & rural). Increasing demand and rising prices. Not long after, inflation caused mortgage rates especially to rise. Rent costs soared too. People interested in working in hospitals declined. Less doctors etc.. \n \nSimultaneously in Canada, the number of people coming by air, land and boat to claim asylum skyrocketed. For example, in 2023 alone, in just one region (Central Canada) around 400 people arrived per day (on average). Ditto for other populated provinces. Also the number of international students SKYROCKETED too. In 2023, averaging around 2,000 per day across Canada. Years 2021 and 2022 had high #s too. \n \nThe majority trying to migrate to Canada recently have been from South Asia. And it's become extremely obvious to Canadians. Even those that are very used to much diversity & many cultures. Plus neighborhoods now know that international students are using schooling as a 'back door' ticket to come to Canada for permanent residency. No one says it in public amongst strangers, but everyone knows because they've witnessed the extreme PR frenzy firsthand by now. To many Canadians it has felt like a tidal wave that has reached all cities and small towns, with a post secondary school. This extreme situation never existed prior to 4 years ago.\n \nHospitals have been hit with many wanting free healthcare. Less doctors/nurses etc., means greater waiting times. Plus a VERY SEVERE HOUSING CRISIS has occurred in many western countries including in Canada. In ways not seen in people's lifetimes. And if you do find a place to live its quite expensive. Including small basement rooms. \n \nNow westerners want the money greedy agents (pseudo smugglers) in other countries to stop marketing & LYING to their own people about access to PR or citizenship … or accommodation/jobs … being easy (to get). And for any greedy people living in western countries to be ashamed of themselves if they're hurting students. Anyone doing things to make $ off of people's PR desires. At best, there is a 25% chance of gaining PR (better odds if you are masters/medicine etc.). \n \nNot all players across the board have acted honestly over the years, i.e. contract marriages (IELTS spouse), anchor babies, fraud, false asylum claims. Canada has asked the India government to prevent “ghost consulting”. The new PRIVATE (non-public) colleges are being investigated (including looking for strong oversea ties). \n \nCanadians are meeting students who told Canada they have enough $, but it turns out they borrowed it (some borrowed it for the application process only). Canadian food banks and other CHARITY services have been recklessly advertised on YouTube (by India students in Indian language). Many transit services have launched stricter rules, i.e. lost monthly bus passes registered in your name are now never replaced (unlike before). \n \nThen this year throw in all the Palestinian vs Israeli angry protests happening regularly in cities. Plus the Sikh vs Hindu violence/extortion mostly happening in Ontario and British Columbia. Plus the Canadian government also recently launched investigations in regards to foreign interference in Canadian elections. All stemming from Asia continent. Hate crimes have gone from rare to occasional (primarily South Asians against South Asians). \n \nCanadians are so so so so so not used to all this. So many, who have embraced multi-culturalism and immigration for decades are now VERY worried and fearful (due to all of the above). And all are praying it doesn't turn into great anger (like in the USA). \n \nCanadians want multi-culturism to succeed … and for all people (including immigrants) to be okay. Everyone I know is VERY happy with Canada Immigration's recent changes (reductions & investigations). Including multi-generational long-term Asian-Canadians where many have been the most upset (by all of this).

This video needs more views. It’s so sad hearing these people’s stories but they need to be heard and our news channels don’t cover this enough… Our country needs to do better. If I was Prime Minister. I would Ban the immigrant Visa program for the next 10 years. I would deport anyone who has overstayed there welcome (those with expired visas) or are here (illegally) and now (not documented) \n\nThat alone would take many out of the shelters, homes, rentals, streets that should not be in the Country anymore. Put a ban on drugs and safe injections (as we know there is no such thing) \n\nMake it mandatory for those in need due to drug and mental issues (that have been diagnosed with such) to go to treatment centers (while building more centre's and hiring qualified professionals workers) to stop the crisis. \n\nChange laws on crimes and the time and penalty behind them. Doubling and tripling the time served and raising bail fees by 50% to keep folks that have criminal pasts off the streets <---- for first time offenders. \n\nFor those that have multiple offenses. Quadruple the jail times and put bail amounts 100% more then what they are now. \n\nGive those that kill, ra*e, torture, (and things along that nature (the death penalty) \n\nI would remove the mandate for Electric Vehicles for Canada. Where only 1 vehicle per manufacturer would have to be Electric. So if somebody wants it. It's there but the majority would be. Gas / Diesel etc. \n\nI would build more housing / schools / retirement homes / hospitals / recreation centre's / Library and walk in Clinics. \n\nI would write a law that the roads in Canada must be fixed properly. Not just patched. \n\nI would raise the taxes on Multi Million and Billion Corporations and those that make $400.000 or more to pay a higher tax. While those that make less than $400.000 get taxed less. \n\nI would Lower the provincial taxes by 2% effective immediately and the Minimum wage across all provinces would be $17.75 an hour for full time workers (over 32 hours per week) with .25 cent yearly increases until 2030 to be reassessed. \n\nI would give Tax cuts to those who want to open businesses and build and sell Canadian Products to make sure Canadian Goods are affordable to make. Still have a profit to slow down overseas production creating more Canadian jobs for Canadian People. \n\nEvery Worker that works 24 hours or more weekly is getting Benefits making it mandatory for all types of business owners to make benefits available to the workers and ensuring the plan covers a minimum of 50% throughout the entire year. \n\nI would raise the pension to those who have worked 25+ years in Canada and remain in Canada as a retiree for a minimum of 6 months of the year 5% \n\nShrinkflation will stop. Left Canada when I was 16 and never wish to return. About the media Canada's media and American media has been owned and corrupt by most of the same people. You really never got to know US, though they have their troubles. For example, the same as Canada, they return to voting for the most corrupt of politicians and those who wish to ruin North America. Many ways we could go about fixing this crisis. Obviously heavily limiting immigration would help, banning all diploma mills that are just student visa scams. Forcing municipalities to get rid of their awful zoning and restrictive rules, could be streamlined by running a nationwide referendum to make zoning a federal jurisdiction and not provincial/municipal and then just adopt something similar to japanese zoning nationwide. Banning or heavily restricting Airbnbs is an other thing that would help. A lot of what the BC NDP with Eby is doing should be done nationwide for sure. Regarding all the homeless people, we could offer them a job to build infrastructure, houses in exchange for a bed and food, something akin to what was done in the New Deal. Could be a super efficient way to get something like high speed rail built quickly. It'd be a contract they'd sign for 5-10 years and at the end of the deal they get compensation for the work they did. Also not every homeless can live in society. When conservatives got rid of institutions like mental asylums, all the people with non fixable conditions got thrown in the streets. Those are people who just can't, regardless of how much we do to help them, live in society, but their people like us so a modernized, humane version of the mental asylums would help a ton not just for these people, but also their family members who'd know that their kid or sibling is somewhere safe.

What this does is let's employers know that they can fire people whenever they want & never have any wages increases because there are so many people willing to accept this garbage job.

Labour shortage? ? we have enough homeless people without jobs already. Canadians do not want to be exploited with cheap labour thats the problem. Pay canadians according to our economy and there will not be so many homeless people and more of these jobs will be filled. The government makes it an excuse to keep bombarding canada with more migrants as to keep the employers from having to pay more and keep labour as low as possible. Of course a new immigrant is going to do whatever job they can get, because they do not know the Canadian economy. You see houses with 15 people in a 3 bedroom apartment, 25 people in a house. I always wondered why certain houses had 6+ cars and I kept seeing multiple faces.

Why you are always attacking the international students? We pay rent, taxes, CPP, tuition. We are the best students and most brilliant people of our own countries. We didnt come here for food, most of us come from wonderful countries with better weather beaches etc. We are here to contribute to this country as a new adventure while our intention remains returning home one day. Rest assured that many other countries offer better living conditions such as cheap university kitchen where you can eat and not worry about the meals, dorms just a few meters from classes etc. I tried one week applying in indeed and I got 6-7 job offers so there are plenty of jobs around. Look at the photos you are posting, most are from africans who came to canada illegally from mexico-us route or ocean-Quebec ships. I am curious to know how many people under 30, who are from Canada, still see their future here? or are planning to move to another country. I am in my 40s, and watch every day as justin gives away everything I have worked for in my life. I will be selling my home soon, most probably to an immigrant family, because the cost of existing here has become way too high. FYI.... as a CANADIAN I dont have another country I call home and can go back to once Canada is completely fucked.

They keep saying we need people to fill all these vacant jobs. And we need all these skilled workers. The truth is that there are NO JOBS. The government is Lying. And these people coming into the country DO NOT HAVE ANY SKILLS. Many are going to school here to get an education/skills. The idea is that they return home after they finish school. But that's NOT happening. They remain here and take jobs away from Canadians. They get hired over those who are Canadian. We all know this to be true. In addition while going to school here they bring in their whole family. Now it's costing the Tax Payer to look after these people. Many are older and require Medical Treatment, drugs, surgeries, etc. Immigration does NOT stimulate the economy. It drains our finances leading to bankruptcy. We are fast being replaced and our culture is being dissolved. Just look at other countries where this has happened like Britain, Ireland, etc.
