Here is a lot of harassment and discrimination, especially from employers and stores, they always do this specially to minorities and racialized communities, one time i was at shoppers and a lady told the supervisor: “be careful with that guy, he is stealing” so the supervisor followed the man all over the store, but the lady that told the supervisor to be careful with the guy, ran away from the store and the alarm sounded, apparently she was the one stealing, ah and she was a white woman of course

I know it won’t be easy but, Toronto has a lot of resources for immigrants and even undocumented immigrants. I worked for a shelter and although it was the only one that takes undocumented families, you learn there are resources out there. \nIt’s about aligning yourself with the right community support Center, finding the people who will fight for you. There are so many people here who welcome and want to help all types of immigrants. No matter your background.\nThe people who work helping these communities they are ruthless in their fight for citizenship, or at least finding you a job and home, they will guide you through the system. Social workers, ones in community resource centres, not government centres, will be your best friend. They know where the red tape is and the resources available to you. \nYou could even go to a specific shelter to t all out your options and where you could go to get help.\nI understand this is not ideal. \nBut, if you want to be here, your best friends are non-profits, finding a center that aligns with your story, your background, because they will fight for you. We have people here from every country and resource centres geared towards your own language, religion etc.\nAnother big way to set yourself up for success. Churches, rich churches to be specific. \nMy mom works in a very rich church and it helps them feel better about themselves helping people, you could be nice enough to alleviate their guilt through their wallets, and connections. Under the table work, shelter, space for your family, set you up, they might even have the lawyers you need pro Bono in those rich churches. Church shopping, do not be above it if you don’t have resources. You don’t just get help, you build a community and support system through a common bond, the church. \nI know these aren’t revolutionary tips, but without specifics of your background it’s hard (for me specifically) to give specific advice online as to what services could be provided for you.\nIt’s kind of like a doctors appointment. You need background info to diagnose the resources for you and how to access that help.

all I have to say is society in community should take Justice by publishing every single personal detail about this woman online...I can guarantee you Canada because your police and justice system is not there to protect you...if we do this collectively you will see these racist and other criminal elements of society will literally be boarded up in their homes and it never leave because leaving the home... dear God their fate would literally be sealed by walking down that street..because as a brown Canadian born and raised one thing people might not realize is when someone is racist to you it is one of the most heinous and vile acts that you can experience... And it produces so much anger that the suspension from her work is not Justice...and any one of you here that has had an attack not just racist against them knows what I'm talking about... Canada is one of the worst places to immigrate to. I’m Canadian. I know what it’s like to live here. Plus I’m indigenous. So I’ve face racism and prejudice. Many think my people gets free handouts. From my experience that’s far from the truth. I’ve left my community for a better education. I was completely alone without parents and my siblings, living with an aunt that used me for another pay check. I couldn’t go to college because I couldn’t afford it, even tho I got accepted into three colleges. Now I’m working a part-time job that forces me to stand on my feet all day. Not many job opportunities are out here unless you’ve gone to college or obtain training. plus the rate for rent is horrendous.

No one ever talks about their personal responsibilities to being a honest,contributing member of society. It is such a glass half empty attitude. Where on this planet could you have as much opportunity to create success for yourself and your community than here?

This happens both ways and is very real in Canada, but the racism against white community is just as bad if not worse than the other way around. Landlords won't rent to white people especially with kids. Some stores dont hire white people anymore. It's very Sad and it's in our faces but once again no one has the stones to dare say anything about it.

The presenters seems to be a bit biased thinking that all Syrians are muslims, when in fact many Syrian Arabs are Christians, and they’re the true refugees! At one time Syria also had a thriving Jewish community as well! Arab Muslims are by and large a big issue as well as other Muslims, they need tougher scrutiny than non Muslim Arabs. Montrealer here. Caribbean restaurants are notorious for having poor service, irregular hours, poor hygiene, long wait times, inconsistent food etc. I've seen them come and go by the dozens and it's sad bc so many of them have really great, whole food (nothing processed) for a decent cost but the reason they can't stay open has more to do with work ethic and business management than patronage. \n\nWe have a huge caribbean community and the locals love the food too but once u get attached to one of these places, they disappear a few months later. Jamaicans especially, Trinidadians seem to be able to make the business side work better.

Canadas is one of the hardest places to get asylum or get in as an immigrant in the world. You have to have a bachelor degree or higher to get in, you also have to do 40 hours of community service and you have to contribute to the economy. So you have to contribute to the economy you cant just come and get everything like this guy things and all the 50,000 refugees we took in last year.

I'm muslim but i dont like the arabs muslim (not all arabs but mostly of them) becuz of the way they behave. They are refugees from their own country but they are disrespectful to their destination country. The arabs are not grateful with what they have been given from the other country. If They wanna be one of the majority community, then they have to be thankful and accept the culture of the majority community .They must be fluent and well spoken in english too. I used to live in Brampton and this is the city where I first landed. No hatred for the city but people have ruined it. I'm a brown guy myself so I can't be racist against my own people and tbh, some of the best people I know in Canada are Sikhs but even they accept the fact that there is a large number of bad apples in their community. Sikhs have played a major part in both positive and negative way, to make and break this city.\n\nInsurance scams in Brampton cost their citizens to pay one of the highest premiums in the country. Generally, drivers in Brampton have no fuckin' idea how to drive because the licences were literally bought. \n\nA large number of people of our brown community always hell bent on abusing the system, wherever they go. We bring the same back home mindset here in Canada rather follow the system. \n\nThe only thing mostly brown community is focused on is how to make money and that's all. Don't try to learn the language, don't like to mix with people, don't care about the laws or anything. They only like to have nice big houses, show off their leased fancy cars and that's all.\n\nI left this city for good and don't regret my decision at all when I see numerous videos about the bad situation in Brampton. I'd love to move back to Ontario but cannot live in this city anymore. I don't know what Sharia Law/ Islam is all about to hate it that much. We have Muslims in our country. At least around 20% of the population. Maybe more than Australia... but there are as many different interpretation of Islam and Sharia Law, as the Bible and Christian denominations. What you probably have is the Radical Extremist type.... The type that doesn't accept differences in culture and the population they are in. They are the minority who wants to have the majority rule... We also have problems with Radical Islam and majority of the Muslim population in my country does not accept them that much. There are certainly discrimination against Muslim, but not as much as most western countries does. My advise is to not to generalize Muslims as one type of people. There are people in that community that does not believe in extremist interpretation of the law. Second, deport or watch radical extremist as they are dangerous to any multicultural society, like the white supremacist and Neo- Nazis in the US. Some of them are citizens. Deporting your own citizen to a different country is far-fetched. Third, accept them as part of a sub- culture, having their own ways within their group, yet under the laws of the nation they are living. The way they dress, polygamy, and women's rights are just some issues that Westerners usually cringe about. But there are other religions who practice these as well. Lastly, stop hating each other because your hate will empower extremism. \nReligion is either you are born with it until you are old/ mature enough to choose or an independent choice.

The fact that the women that think that they have a choice in wearing the niqab is sad. They don't. They've been brainwashed and there is a lot of social pressure from the Muslim community to wear them. \nPrior to the 80's, women actually had rights in the Middle East. After the US signed a deal with the Wahhabist leaders in Saudi Arabia creating Petrocurrency, the Middle East was doomed. \nWe all need to get away from oil so we can remove power from the rich Wahhabists in Saudi Arabia. Because in the past 3 to 4 years many people came to Canada illegally and they all need to be kicked from this country, if you can’t get here own your own base don’t come here at all. Also please learn to speak English before you come here, English and French are too language people should speak, if you can’t speak one of them leave or learn, and wear modern clothes this isn’t some 20th century, this is 21th century’s where people wear modern clothes start to wear them, or your whole community will be hated more then it already is.

From what I heard coming from other source .Also when I see them at food banks taking home more than $150.00 in groceries from just 1 food bank they goto 9 amonth .their cell phones are top of the line .Clothes and shoes brand name only .Gold jewllery ladys purses $300.00 and up .And they all have cars from 40 thousand and up . One place i never see them is value village .How do they do iit ?I had 2 kids and on welfare a few years back and I had a hard time trying to get some things that we badly needed and could not afford and things were a lot cheaper .The most I ever spent at no frills been on assistance was $75.00 for the whole month .6 years ago and no cell phone gold. or cars .So how these people do it ?oh and by the way I go ti no frills once a week .Those same refugees are there every thursday spending $500.00. on goceries and none of them work .Some time neighbours talk and thats how things are know .Our government is a big lier .We the tax payers are paying for all of these Once a refugee of this country one canot be sent back or deported so if this refugee never finds a job you the tax payer and I will pay for his or her assistance and maybe for a life time .like in the case of gypsies refugees they are all on assistance go to all the food banks rob the community of their belongins their cars items from stores donations in front of churches and stores they dress the best also spend hundreds of dollars on food they shop for clothes at the mall and we the tax payer brake our backs 6 days a week 10 hours a day like me and I cant afford even half of what these people can .So even if they become criminals we have to support them .Some refugee law and rights should be changed to ensure that tax payers are not been taking advantage of .

so I just have one question... Why is it that black people are being followed in department stores? Think really long and really hard about that... Here in America it is because we have a huge problem with the black community feeling entitled and running through stores and just taking what they want ( flash mobs). The reason they are profiled isn't because of their skin color, it's because they are known, as a culture, to be Thieves who have been told they're entitled. that doesn't mean I believe that it's right, I just understand why people are leery of a culture that feels that it's okay for them to steal and take whatever they want. Nor do I believe all people with that skin color are part of that culture.

Wouldnt you feel threatened if you saw more and more faces covered up in your community.one by one they seem to be appearong in your community

growing up in canada, i felt left out in the blk community b/c i am a 5th generation blk cdn on mom's side and 3rd on my dad's - when other black ppl not canadian born met me - i tell them i'm cdn, but i always used to get the question - where are you really from - they were looking for me to say the islands - when i told them my paternal grandma was born in 1901 in canada - that's when the questions stopped. i've been told that b/c i wasn't from the islands, i had no culture in college, but a mbr of the black student society put him in his place i heard he got into a lot of trouble. i was asked what do we eat as in food as canadians what kind of music do we listen to - at our blk canadian weddings, the only carribean song played was hot hot hot by arrow - we played straight up r and b and motown. i hv been rejected by other blk men b/c i'm not west indian enough...it was hurtful. even with 'friends' they made of my cdn heritage but i used to think, why are you making fun of me knowing that my family and ancestors were in canada first - they were 1st generation - i live in the usa now and i'm with an african american man - he has never treated me as if i were different and he loves going w/me to canada. my parents told me it was jealousy on those ppl's parts - one guy i used to be friends with in college, when i went to his house, his mom was from the islands, when she met me - she said, 'you cdn ppl are loud' and that did it for me - i didn't date her son but when he met my parents, they never said any of that crap to him. in the usa, the african americans don't treat differently at all - my ex mom in law thought we were american but decided to live in canada - b/c she was surprised that blacks do live in canada. her other daughter in law's family were from the islands - but she gravitated more to my family and felt comfortable around them more than her family and this ex sis in law would brag about the islands this and that and she would make comments about my looks being skinny and such but it was jealousy - i didn't care much for her b/c she was very insecure. i felt once again, i was a young girl in college again - being around island ppl....i would love to meet drake and ask him did he feel left out and isolated because he wasn't from the islands - he makes me very proud being a blk canadian - his dad is african american and his mom is jewish. i still hv dealt w/racism not much with wht ppl, but with my own ppl - which is quite sad and on top of it-colorism, that also played a part from my family - being called pygmy, chocolate dip, nappy hair - it hurt but these so called relatives, they aren't all that anymore, they had hard lives as children...when ppl see something in you that is special and they don't have, that's when their ugliness shows -

This is a sad story for this poor guy and I feel sorry for him.But how can anyone live in a country for more than 15 years and not speak the country's language fluently?.It really boggles my mind.C'mon.If I were to live in Germany then I'd make sure that I could speak German before moving over there.That's a crying shame.Shame on him for not speaking English while living all this time in America.I reckon that many of these illegal immigrants from Hispanic communities just don't seem to care to learn the language or to assimilate to our culture and traditions.They give us the impression that all that they want is the benefits that the country has to offer them.I guess immigration on both countries should deport the ones who've been living in the country illegally for many years and can't speak the language or don't wanna assimilate.There's just no excuse for not learning the language during all this time that he had lived in America.\nOn the other hand these people are morons for trying to go to Canada.Canada's immigration laws are pretty restricted and even tougher than in the United States.Canada will never give them a heart felt warm welcome and they should know better.They should know that Canada is a POINT OF NO RETURN.

Call me whatever, but India has been dealing with this for a very long time, probably since 1980s. I dont hate islam but I dont love it either. Let's just say that I wouldnt buy a house in Muslim neighborhood. It has been a nuisance to India since a long time, every time we screamed in UN for help. We got shut down until the problem reached world wide. People say it started happening since Iraq and syrian war which is slightly incorrect. This problem has been there since ages prior to war, It just manifested on a high level recently. There are so many examples...This religion feeling which later turns into violence starts with your own house, your upbringing and your own values. If a kid is used to seeing his mom being suppressed then when he grows up, dont expect much from him. Now every community has this issue but in Muslim community it is engraved in you the moment you open your eyes on planet earth. You cannot defend the argument when someone says Women are suppressed in mulsim culture. The most hurtful thing happening is in UK. A country which gave you food, shelter, respect, a better life. You are trying to impose your values on it? As a matter of fact, good muslims should come out openly and boycott these terrorist who are trying to create chaos if they really want to show good intentions but you wont see any (for obvious reasons). They often cry about they being a victim but what about other people?? If all good muslim come out and boycott bad muslims then that would be a thing to appreciate and notice. In last you cant clap with one hand! Remember that.

Canada is a Christian country and the muslim community must denounce Islam and be Canadain or leave. No one wants this country to look like Europe. There are good muslims and you can tell who they are. They are the ones that want to fit in to Canadas values. I would gladly protect any muslim that wishes to truely become a Canadian. Guess who I would have to protect them from? It is not Canadians they fear but muslims.

I would very much like the muslims to tell us real Canadians what contributions that they are making to our country as a whole. How are they making life in Canada better? How are they bringing stability and growth to our country? They spend time teaching their silly little book to the people in their flock but nothing about Canada, our values, our hopes and aspirations for the country. As a young child I remember viewing the Amish women as being in a chronic 'state of funeral' based solely on their signature dark garb. It created in my own (childlike) logistics that this was a type of society which I needed to keep at a distance from myself. I disliked their choices, finding them muted in a world layered thick in rich and vibrant fields of color. The color black in ancient cultures (apparel) indicates the refusal to acknowledge or be unresponsive, to be closed off. I can understand how many real (natural) Canadiens can view Muslim women in their communities in a strange light. An interview with a very rich Saudi woman (living in Saudi Arabia), in how she spoke of her own frustration by not being allowed to own a drivers license, instead being driven in her husbands pricey Mercedes by a hired driver. She forced this issue on her local, home town government when she attempted to embarrass the officials of this primitive law, which in her view, had outlived its purpose and no longer applied to modern women in her culture. This interview went viral being shown on multi media networks and the town became embarrassed by the exposure. We should all applaud these women for their natural right to be free from outdated ritual and constraints continue to impose these indignities upon women. Muslim women living in Canada who wear the typical dark cloth across the features of the face and over the body are putting forth a message that they are 'second class citizens', are 'less than equal', are 'one mans property' - not unlike a common barn yard animal but possibly owning less importance than an animal since an animal can be traded for goods or services for profit. One can understand how real (natural) Canadien women can view this type of apparel as a slap in the face of their gender, a violent slap to go to the 'back of the line', 'take it lying down and like it'. So much is fear based and these Muslim women should shed their fear as layers of dark folds are sent falling to the floor - once and for all...

  Being white in Canada is to be constantly pointed at by black people and called racist . When the only people screaming racist is the blacks . Every other ethnic group of people get along.with one another in Canada .  I think the black community needs to stop calling everyone else racist , and deal with there own racist thoughts .Stop accusing  all other group's of people of being racist . There is only one group of racist people in Canada and they are black .
