Good response by Justin. Exactly what you want from a leader. Yet, most of the country can't wait to get rid of him. I really am not overly confident about the Liberal replacement or who will ultimately be running the country.

Whether you agree with his politics or not, aTHIS IS HOW A TRUE LEADER deals with something that affects their country. He’s not screaming, crying, and throwing a tantrum while laying on the floor. Good for Canada! I say don’t cut off the power but put a 100% surcharge on it. Give the extra cash to your people to help with any negative financial issues they may face.

The world is going to make Trump a 2nd class leader. Every country that stands for democracy shouldn’t let Trump fly into their airspace, or let him come to your country. The countries that have laws that don’t let felons into their countries should apply these laws to Trump, you need to show Trump that enough is enough, and you will not bend to his mafia style of governing. If he our you need to communicate it should be done over a secure video communication, and record it in case Trump threatens you, your country, or if he just goes off the rails in general. If he does threaten you, or your country, or goes off the rails you need to broadcast it to the world. There is strength in numbers, and if the US politicians won’t stand up to Trump, then the rest of the world needs to do so.

You all around the world, making the mistake of siding with foolish leaders who's own public do not support them against Donald Trump--when the majority of Americans do--will feal the wrath of every single American, who is sick of being bullied by you. We do not have to pay your bills. We do not have to keep your country safe. Keep running your mouth, CNN and dividing this country and the world with your lies. Everyone knows Zelenskyy was disrespectful to Biden and Trump and Vance--who we owe nothing to. Ukraine is not an ally of ours. Ukraine will never be allowed to NATO. And all of you can enjoy the tariffs. We don't need you we don't model our behavior after you. You'll never be America. You will never understand what it means to be American. You will never come into our Oval Office and disrespect our president, Democrat, or Republican and get away with it. Shame on you for your lies! You know better but you get paid well. This is why your ratings are in the tank and only those lacking any logical critical thinking still watch you.

Everyone can anticipate dumb Trump’s response - really no need to give him air time to say it. He’s a traitor to his country, its people, to his countries allies. It would be dumb to continue to cover Trump as if he is worth covering. He is no longer the leader of the free world and he is no longer the most powerful leader in the world. He has ceded that to Putin to whom he bends his knee when kissing his ass.

The drug and immigration issue is smoke and mirrors. Don’t buy into it. You have a narcissist who looks for issues to motivate his moronic followers. Who , by the way are for the most part well off and affluent.\nJust not well educated and not well versed on the problems of the World. \nMuch as I dislike my present Prime Minister…he is still my Prime Minister and not your Governor.\nHe is fallible because he is a caring human and a sympathetic leader who has tried to make it right for so many.\nCanada is a country of hope not a country of opportunity at the expense of others.\nOur leaders answer to us the people not to rich autocrats.

Wow, articulate strong talk, no lies, no propaganda, no bluster, none of the total and complete unrelenting bullshit we have endure on a daily basis from the sociopathic delusional asshole that currently occupies the White House. It should be no surprise that our leadership chooses to blame all of our problems on someone else, because that's exactly what they do every day. We have a drug problem, it's because of Canada and Mexico. We have an immigration problem, likewise Mexico and Canada. We have a deficit problem, that's because of the EU and NATO. Our problem is our government, specifically Republicans who won't accept the simple truth: you want to solve problems you have be disciplined and smart. You have to spend money to fix your problems instead of blaming some else and trying to get them to pay for it. You pay to solve your problems instead of giving huge tax cuts to people who don't need them. You stop lying to your people. You want to change the trade imbalance? Build products that other countries want at a price that makes sense. The EU has no laws that prevent American car manufacturers from selling their cars in Europe. American car companies make shitty cars. They make cars that are too big, that don't make sense for European where streets can be very small and gas is very expensive. The US manufacturers don't make a single small car in thos country that can compete with European cars. US agricultural products are laced with poisonous chemicals that are outlawed in the EU because they kill people. Our governmeent doesn't give a shit about that because to grow healthy food means you have to cut profits, almighty dollars, instead of grow things that the rest of the world will accept. We have an idiot for president who thinks he knows more than anyone else and an idiot party that won't tell him the truth. This is going to cost us big time. We are going into recession, probably a long one because we don't have real leaders and the president on his best day is nothing more than a reality TV personality, and not a very entertaining one at that.

Shoutout to Justin Trudeau, thank you for being an actual leader during these very uncertain times. I truly hope your country will be able to help ours?

I'm so ashamed to be American right now, especially after the Zelensky meeting & now the tariffs. These leaders are going to destroy our country & relationship with our allies.

This is not about tariffs. It is about Trump unravelling all of America's relationships with its allies, to make the country weaker, in the service of Putin. Canada is just the first. But Europe will be next. Then America stands alone, too weak to be a world leader.

Like Russia, Canada has key strategic resources and huge oil and gas reserves. The west could not cause the collapse of the Russian economy after it invaded Ukraine because of that key fact. Canada will eventually find other markets for its natural resources. This is a sad fact as integrating our economy with the U.S. has been a great benefit to both countries. You buy our natural resources, we buy your manufactured goods. Too bad, this administration does not see this simply reality. Don't get me wrong, Canada will suffer MORE than the U.S. as our economy is much smaller, but it will survive and once it decouples its economy from that of the U.S., it will be fine. The U.S. on the other hand is breaking treaties with longtime allies and isolating itself on the world stage. It is squandering its place as world leader and world superpower. China is licking its chops.

I'm not American. I grew up hearing lots of hate bout USA cuz the US doesn't exactly have a good rep in foreign policies - always bullying other nations, starting wars for oil etc. but I've always preferred USA not just for the world order it brings, it allows different voices, criticism & scolding towards its leaders compared to China, Russia & North Korea. \n\nin the US, you can talk bad bout politicians in power, or probably make movies bout these kind of things like US invading other countries for oil, or testing out some cruel AI military robots on humans (movie name: Monsters of Man), & you won't be persecuted. but after looking at a bunch of executive orders Trump has signed, the way he (& JD Vance) treated Zelenski & Canada, I don't know if I still feel the same bout USA anymore.\n\nif USA doesn't wanna continue spending on Ukraine, perhaps USA shouldn't have sweet talked Ukraine into denuclearization thru the 1994 Budapest Memorandum. that's what you get for mendling with other countries' affairs. by stopping US aid & wanting a new mineral deal, Trump's refusing to follow the Memorandum (I added this sentence thru edit as I can't reply to the comment below).\n\nunderstandably, US & UK don't need to deploy troops in Ukraine as the security assurance in the memorandum wasn't clearly defined, but it also didn't mention that Ukraine should pay the US back financially, nor any mineral concessions. \n\nTrump always wanting a purely 1 sided deal will only isolate USA from more allies.

I am a citizen of the USA. Now, I feel the same way of my country as some Russians feel about their country - shame. We support Canada and Ukraine in their position towards ridiculous behavior of our leaders. Hopefully, some democracy still remains in my country, and together we could change the situation to better. Glory to Canada and shame to Putin’s buttlickers.

All of this was avoidable. We could have had a reasonable leader use logic and good sense to move our country forward. But no, just enough Americans willingly voted for vengeance, or chaos, or a combination of both. Another group felt it was too damn difficult to do their own research before they cast their vote. And now, everyone will suffer greatly for the mad king's folly.

JIimmy Carter, Ronald Reagan, George Bush Sr, Bill Clinton, George Bush Jr, Barack Obama, Joe Biden, agree or disagree with them they never destroyed so much in their time in office. In My 50 years of life I have never seen such a diplomatic failure. Canada, UK, Australia and the Eu have been our closest allies since ww2 and Mr. Trump is his maga disciples are heading towards what the Soviet Union and the old Warsaw pact countries couldn't do in over 50 plus years. Canada Stand strong, France and the Eu Stand strong, UK and Australia nothing but love and respect from a disgusted American citizen. Hopefully democrats can flip the house or the senate in a couple years, or some republican senators will get some intestinal fortitude to at least stalemate the senate to turn the madman into an essential lame duck president. At the point no white house representation is better then what Trump has in store. President Zelesky all the respect in the world, you're what a leader should be, and hopefully your true world leader friends will stand for what's right. This is how a leader should speak. He speaks with sincerity and with clarity. He doesnt speak broadly just to an entire audience. He speaks to each group of people that this is concerning to, and making sure we understand the magnitude of this situation. He adjusts how he speak to each group, and also to our sad president. Thats the vibe of the message he was giving me. Many different types of languages and emotions are spoken at the same time.\n\nI love our country, but I do not agree with how our currents presidents policies, changes, and tear down of our government/agencies in just 2 months. I cant imagine the months to come. People are already struggling, and are divided so much more that Americans are not siding with each other, but siding with Canada and Mexico who have been so patient and understanding with us.
