Am a kenyan Canadian and living in canada is the best decision I have ever taken. Lot of kenyan are paying agencies to come to canada through visit permit. People should blame agencies who promise them jobs not canada government . When you come to canada through visit permit you need to change to work permit or study permit. Actually there are thousands of kenyan who have come through visit permit and they are claiming refugee status. Canadian Government is doing its part by giving all claimed refugees shelter and give the money for upkeep. When you have visit permit you can't work in canada but you can convert it to work permit which is not easy but an expensive process. You need to get a company that can process you lMIA that labour market Impact assessment . You need skills to get a company to apply you Lmia or uende China ya maji you pay Indians who have companies in kenya $30-$40 to apply for you lmia. Or you can convert your visit permit to study permit and universities here are damn expensive. Getting a Canadian to marry you for status is very hard. In short am trying to say if you do not come through work permit or landed immigrants life wil be tough use the money you are paying agencies to start something in your country. They are so many opportunities in canada if you have the right papers or status. As for me am a happy single mom who as accomplished alot here and I love canada .

The issue is Canada is being too selective with the countries they are taking from ( only two India and china), but it's racist to say that, the two countries with the most people in the world.... would overlap the amount of Canadians in the country with only sending like 2% of their population.... why are we immigrating a unlimited amount of people from countries that can over right our populations 1000x over. I have said some negative things and felt some negative things about Indians and I'm big enough to admit that, because at the same time I couldn't help but to get amused by scambaiting. Therein and from a apparent stoking of hatred and animosity these days I've been seeking to better understand the true sentiments and circumstances of Indians, and where the so called bad bed side manner comes from. I say this because a lot of people I've spoken too find Indians rude, and I can see why, if I were exploited, how would I feel. We are all human and I hate to see peoples dreams and or weakness exploited.

Also to note with Indians in Canada(immigrants and natural-born):\n\n1. Most Indians do not even say thank you when you assist or help them with something.\n2. Most Indians smell like spoiled curry that it is so nauseating, especially inside the subway and buses.\n3. Most Indians vape inside the subway and buses.\n4. Most Indians walk in groups lined up side by side, chatter like they have not seen each other in ages and will suddenly block OR stop while people behind them are walking.\n5. Most Indians act like they are more privileged than Canadian-born and Canadianx-Indigenous people.\n6. Most Indians have little to no manners at all.\n7. Most Indians converse over their mobile phones thinking that they are only the people inside a public transportation.

Indian are usually sarcastically racist but if you are visiting India they will treat you like you are really special. They have a saying for this, they treat their guests pretty well. I'm an Indian living in India. People here dream of places like America and start saving money from a very young age. I think they don't know the true reality of the Western countries. Many of my relatives who go to these countries never come back. I think your point about getting used to it is also true. They never complain about the lonliness. They only praise it, saying that it's not as loud as India. But I don't think I'll be able to live such an isolated life.

Oh this is how every Indian official gov workers behaves, at least 90% of them. While we don't know the full version here, I'll share mine.\nI've waited for hour outside the entrance door along with others where we don't have waiting chairs so had to sit on steps where people pass by even though we all came at the right time that was written on our papers. Then I had to wait about 3 more hours for my appointment chance and then they checked my docs and decided that I don't have two particular doc which isn't even that important these days, but he didn't say that at once, we got first doc and then he said I need another doc. so I had to wait for 3 more hours to get mine as (we had to go to school and get that doc) while all other people like those grandparents, job applicants and farmers got their passports and visas. *sighing*\nI still remember the attitude of that officer, It's like he was just there and I was just waiting his time, and he was just reminding me that his work time was about to be done and that he needs to go. \nI don't understand how the gov offices works, we have tons of population and of course tons of applications that needs to be done for work, yet the gov office working hours just 6-6.5 hours? And they work at sloth speed as well. Software workers have it way hard *taking deep breaths*\nNo use in ranting about how it works in our country

My own family immigrated here from South Africa 40 years ago. They say the people here are dour, and unfriendly. Ironically over the years they have become the same. The country changes you, and each province seems to have it's own culture. Currently in my province there is a large influx of Indian students and Syrian refugees. Many students I've spoken to complained about the racism, poor weather and lack of things to do in my city specifically. Myself, I feel foreign now in a city I grew up in and am hoping to move out west, but maybe further south to be with my american boyfriend. I wonder what it's like immigrating to the States lol!

To me the biggest problem of people of African origin is not racism. Infact if you called a child who knows colours very well and ask that child to mention the skin colours of that panel there will be brown, pink and barge. Back to my point, people of African origin have failed to be honest with themselves thats the biggest problem. The biggest problem to solve is the family problem. African men and women majority have failed to raise up responsible children because half of the time they are absent from home. Don't tell me they are absent because they have to look for money to feed children. Let us tell our children to stay away from gangs, be at home latest by 6 pm, start recording high grades at school meaning they will be spending much time with books, wait to have sex until they are legally married, start opening businesses and build corporations like Indians and Chinese do. Then this racism issue will just disappear on its own. As long as people of African origin continue to possess the mentality that other races owe them a good life, the problem of racism won't end. I live in Africa and am an African but I see my brothers and sisters North America or Europe majority live very careless lives. Yesterday I was listening to BBC news a chief police officer of African Origin saying on average there were about 65,000 murders within the African Americans community annually. Where is racism in all this. Can't we be ashamed of ourselves. When last did you hear of such statistics in Asian communities in America or Europe. I agreed with Prime Minister about systematic racism but in my view thats not a priority for the African communities. Number 1 is raise responsible children and not weapon fleaks. Number 2 raise responsible children. Number 3 raise a responsible family then we can sincerely address this racism issue because if there are no trouble makers from our homes but only graduates, business owners, responsible youths who do not abuse substances then if we are treated unfairly it can be vividly seen that someone is discriminating against our race.

Most Chinese and East Indians are using fraud. Mostly to get people over here and especially the young that go on to American universities taking slots from citizens. I dont mind having punjabi, Hindus and Sikhs living in brampton they're very nice people and their food is delicious, but I will say this: in all of my life living in brampton i never experienced so many issues with driving in brampton until indian immagrants migrated to this city , and because of all the car accidents and dangerous road rage, car insurance sky rocketed and now someone like me who has never been in a car collision has to pay hundreds of dollars because of their negligent driving habbits...... my point is please be safe, focus and dont be distracted when driving. This is nothing... Go visit Surrey or Abbotsford in BC, Canada. Largest population of East Indians outside of India. I do have a few issues... if it's a multicultural country then come on Canada, letting in more of one race over another is unfair and unwanted. with respect to the job situation I am not really surprised at all. The higher up you go in terms of qualifications requirements is the less likely you are to find discrimination based on names in Toronto. \n\nThe real discrimination is at the bottom of the pay scale where the people making the decisions are less likely to be university educated and more likely to be say a white forklift driver who came up through the ranks and has been promoted through length of service rather than and specific qualification. Ethnic employers tend to discriminated HEAVILY against anyone who is not of their ethnicity. The Chinese hire almost exclusively Chinese, partly because they can pay them less than minimum wage and get away with it. Indian employers hire almost exclusively Indians for the same reasons but additionally because they can get away with any number of safety violations because Indian workers tolerate and in fact tend to violate those safety codes in a normal situation anyway.\n\nThe same with Portuguese construction workers, they can pay them way less, get them to violate construction codes and cut corner on safety without being reported by or having workers complain. Polish and Romanian construction workers the same thing.

You folks who always claim racism, helps to keep it alive.. It may not be the color but the way you act in an establishment. I'm white and had on an old leather jacket ove day while shopping which possibly made me look needy. That day while walking through different stores at the mall, I was followed by store personal and also by the security team while walking between stores. After not seeing what I had been looking for in all of the other stores was a new leather jacket but not seeing what I wanted in all of those places that I visited, I walked to Wilson house of Leather and finally found that new jacket. Best of all it was on sale. I've lost some weight since those days but I still have my leather coat which is a bit big for me now and starting to look like the coat that got me followed that day at the mall. Not everything is color when you get those looks and I would say it's more on the way you present yourself. \n\n Funny how it was during the times of the HURRICANES were the riots and thefts were done by people od color. Not all blacks riot and loot but those who do are a reflection of the thinking of certain races on this earth. Whites are just as guilty but no Asians, Whites Indians Arab or alien were photographed looting during trying times for many. In times of crisis can you depend on your neighborhood?
