This fellow says everyone deserves a home is a popular misconception. Canada used to be a place where anyone could find a room to stay and a better home if they could work toward it, Now asylum seekers and immigrants have bulldozed their way into the country thanks to Trudeau and these people are kicked to the curb. Vote better. Vote for a job, a freeze on immigration and asylum seekers.

It is very interesting to observe how demographics have changed over the decades.When I first arrived in Canada in 1972 (51 years ago), the Indians were almost invisible, it would be an extraordinary sight to see one. Now, they are all over the place and there is no housing by the way. But yes, it's the student visas that have saturated the system and now the inept government is scrambling to find solutions to the housing problem that has ballooned. I get CPP and old age pension but have to continue working due to the high cost of living, it is ridiculous.

They are all punjabis and find fraudulent ways and come to Canada…. Please launch proper investigation and give chance to people who really deserve…. These Punjabis don’t even speak English…. How come they get celpip and ielts clb 10 and 8? Someone contacted my fb and offered to leak the celpip question paper that was a Punjabi lady… look how fraudulent these people r….. ?

Canada needs more people like it needs a hole in the head. Even at salaries maybe at 60 to 70% of the US it really doesn't employ all the people it has. That's why if you take up engineering or SW, you better find a way to move to the US or else be ready to flip burgers here all your life.

Canada by itself is very WELCOMING, the problem is that you dive into the trap, there only ONE way to do this right, GIVE TO ALL IMMIGRANTS TIME BUFFER, like 1-2 year, don't destroy them from the start, it`s like I call friends to my home, I will say hey please feel free like in your house, but then ill throw them dirt to a face and ask them hey please be clean in my house go find place where to wash up and don't use my towel. Time that migrants spend to find JOB and HOME are exceed TIME they can afford living, it means LOW CREDIT SCORE, DEBT Problems, bad mood, anxiety, no hope, and boom you have more homeless guys. Politics should be supporting migrants very well not just throwing them to the streets, put some regulatory, cut some paperwork for applying a job, make RULE that every IMMIGRANT should go to government job like cleaning streets or IDK make it MUST, so there will be no situation where they don't have jobs. Tell me TORONTO are to clean ? there is no way to give incoming people what to do without DOZENS OF STUPID PAPERS? WORK PERMIT >> READY TO START WORKING FROM TOMORROW >>> DAY / NOON / EVENING >>> Min Wage >>> Social small houses with low rend for city workers. There was a time when I used to go to Canada for vacation. Somewhere around 2019, I started to find hotel prices very high. I have not looked at prices since then, but now it must be way higher.

As someone who lived in Quebec for 8 years, I can say that Canada has an undeservedly good image abroad. It's a trap for immigrants, where they suck out all their savings and energy. In reality, it's not even a state, it's a corporation where monopolies and associated corrupt politicians rule the roost. Lack of preventive healthcare, huge taxes, unbelievably high prices compared to incomes for everything from food to housing, outdated infrastructure... I hope to find the ways to leave here soon.

The government should be very clear to immigrants. Canada doesn't need workers in the Professions. Canada needs janitors and donut servers willing to live with two other families in a 2 bedroom condo or we need the rich to fleece off of. Just go onto indeed leave the key word blank and set the location as Vancouver. Most jobs you'll find pay 45-50 k or demand experience so specific no immigrant and most residents can't hope to qualify. Canada has a labour shortage the same way it has a shortage of 40k Porches.

I actually believe Canada isn’t that bad as a country and it still has something to offer. If you can find your way you will be fine if not then it’s better to return home or chose a different country.

Its the fall and the fauls of capitalisme. The American way is the wrong one. But I find it inspiring that people are going back to there homelands to build their economies. It’s a massive testement to india's growth and potentiel.

This video is very misleading. That tailor at the beginning of the video was said to have gone to study at a university in Toronto. I am pretty sure it’s not University of Toronto or any university near Toronto from the way he was conversing with the journalist. It was most likely a private college that offered a PG Diploma. No wonder he wasn’t able to find a job. International students coming to Canada to do a PG Diploma is the biggest immigration loophole that the government recently put restrictions on.

There are problems everywhere one just has to find a way to manoeuvre around those problems and make things work

What a great way to dodge the question. Yes, he's correct to some extent but there are DEFINITELY tons of Palestinians who would love to leave and join a different Arab nation. The reality is that the Arab world simply finds it easier to talk the talk. They don't want these refugees. If he was being honest he would allow the Palestinians to decide for themselves if they'd prefer to leave or stay but of course that isn't an option. Why don't they temporarily host Palestinians until the war is over?

Only accept international students from 1st world countries thanks. Stop letting people in that just want to find a quck easy way to citizenship

FYI that the major income of the Universities in Canada is from the high tuition fee of the foreign students. Will need to see how the government finds a way to compensate the Universities without cutting professors and staffs

This guy conveniently ignores the massive immigration increase Trudeau is doing which puts pressure on housing and the fact that we aren't building enough houses and Trudeau is simply giving out checks rather than ensuring housing is being built. We are so sorry you are leaving. Success immigrants from different parts of the world have come here, were discriminates, but then were accepted and changed the country for the better. After traveling to different parts of the world, I have yet to find a country that is better than Canada, economically or spiritually. Basically, the euphemism Canadian experience is a polite way to shield in my humble opinion, a form of chauvinism and bigotry to cut out immigrants from connecting into the labor market and protecting the labor market for what employers consider real Canadians\n\nThe way the whole immigration system is work. You have to work from the bottom up that includes investing in education in Canada and getting credentialed In Canada\n\nFrom my observation, they may need professionals, and they may release the skids with your professional degree and professional experience, overseas, and more importantly, with your youth, so that you can work and contribute to the economy, and then finding an employer to sponsor you at a very low wage\nLower than you can survive on require you to have to get a second job\n\nFrom what I hear from the infrastructure and the business opportunities are limited in Canada\n\nEstablish those raised and educated their often for times, find themselves having to choose to mow to the United States for about 5 to 10 years in order to earn a living and then they go back to Canada\n\nThis is not unlike Canadians, especially in the prairies, wanting to travel east, and having to drop down to drive-through the United States, and then re-enter Canada, because the highways aren’t available or to take a flight from one American city to the next near the border because the cost of flights are a lot less\n\nDoes not have the infrastructure or the business opportunities to support a growing economy yet they need to accommodate immigrants because their own population is not reproducing effectively\n\nLooks like a rock and a hard place

We need to slow down immigration and international students, find other ways to boost GDP other than tuitions. If we have workers shortage, we Canadians have to get out of our couch and start working maybe 2-3 full time jobs per person on average and works 100 hrs a week (the government can help by lowering income tax and payroll tax, and increase the property tax). Nothing is free, and we can't enjoy our benefit while not working enough hours (rn we are paying with our future economy)

Asian students only come to Canada to get PR (easiest way but more expensive). But now, finding a job is a big competition even after they graduated. Rental crisis is happening too due to illegal immigrants and massive foreign student influx. This is the same problem Australia is facing, so they are reducing foreign students intake. Local residents are finding it hard to get accommodation because of this problem!

Canada has been avoiding the root cause of the fertility rate issue instead of fixing it. Canadians are replaced with immigrants. Immigrants are used as cogs in the system. The government always finds a way to make things worse with its shortsighted policies.

simple, only allow competitive programs or universities. These universities are already milking their international students for $85k a year in top programs. $85k a year is crazy, 4 times than native students, provide better service to your international students rather than just trying to find ways to milk them. At least provide better cafe food like US top unis and housings.

Too many. The they find work in every area for poor wages, live under stressful conditions by their own etnic group, and eve tually find ways to apply for their family to come to Canada. Why? This is not immigration, but a form of scamming the system by a particular group.

Who is saying they are International Students? Come on. They come to Canada to find a job and settle down in Canada. This is the easiest way for them to come to Canada. That’s the well known secret. Canadian government is also getting Immigrants 500,000 per year. What about the Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents who don’t have jobs? This is totally unfair. It looks like Canada is already corrupt.

Unfortunately that's the problem in most major cities in the US as well. Everyone is moving out of the coast to find more affordable housing but that has made places like Houston, Denver, Nashville, etc.. way too expensive to live in. I moved to Portland last year and all I hear is the locals complain on how much rent has gone up in the last five years alone.

I worked in the downtown core from 2011-2017. When I left I went to a very quiet and rural area, because I was so sick of the city. I love the variety of cultural events and options for entertainment, restaurants etc that you can’t find elsewhere in Ontario but have missed several events because of traffic. Getting into and around the city is horrendous. I take the train when I can but even that is not reliable… the city has grown way too fast with no change to the infrastructure

you need to consider the next generations, in 100 years you will have about 39 descendants whom will be Muslims insha allah and there descendants will be Muslims bu this way in 200 years u will find that islam is very commen in canada. and all this good will be in your favor

why there should be islamic environment in Canada ? rather any country which is not being called as islamic country? \nYou people should understand that if you are moving to a different country, one need to follow that country rules , respect and adopt their culture but keeping your values high. It should be a tiny part of their life but should not be their life. \nAlso think twice why there is hate spread against muslims. There are many more religions are there around the world. Why only Muslims are being hated highly across the world? - You have to ask this question yourself. Sure you will find better answer and reasons for the same. \n\nLast but not least all these are friendly suggestion. Neither I hate any religion nor I love only one and most of my comments are generic and applies to any religion.

Please come here in Indonesia. The largest muslim country in the world ?. Here we have private schools based on religious beliefs. My daughter goes to public school but they have all religions in curriculum. So if the student is muslim, they will learn how to practise shalat and read Quran in school. And you can find place to shalat in any places, like mall or rest area or market. You can find mosque in every street. Halal food is a must. And we only have 2 seasons here, dry and rainy seasons. And we have many tropical beaches and forest too. And the living cost is way cheaper than Singapore or any western country. But if you live in Jakarta, it's a bit pricey i guess. Come to Bali or Yogyakarta or any city in Kalimantan island. You'll live a wonderfull life here, insha Allah ?

In answer to topics raised. Real estate in Australia is expensive because the nation is highly successful and ordinary citizens are wealthy, and this includes real estate, plus with 3 billion middle class Asian's right above Australia the Asian economy dwarfs the US economy to insignificance. Job opportunities are dictated by the fields the economy needs - oil is insignificant in Australia compared to other industries. Geographic Isolation - Thank god the rest of the world is far away, as an Australian I wish it was further away. Air fares prior to pandemic were reasonable USA to Australia around $800 return - but this guy lives in Perth so to go 4-5,000km to the east coast will be expensive - on the east coast a one way ticket to another city can be had for around $50 to $80 - Again for Australians proximity to the US market is not significant we are focused on the Asian region. Natural beauty anywhere is amazing but I prefer a warm climate over a frozen one - The Canadian population is all centered around the US/Canadian border region the rest of Canada like central Australia is vastly empty. In conclusion I find many immigrants want to move from Australia to Canada is proximity to the USA but for Australians the US market or lifestyle is not attractive or important.

You forgot the fact that there are more than 100k immigrants came to Canada in 2023 than 2019.\n\nMost people who are immigrants came to Canada could not stay and have to go back are limited by their ability, always trying to find an easy way out - lazy bunch of losers!

It's SMH. It's been a harsh few years. People acting like it's Toronto's fault cuz it got affected by the pandemic and it's fallout is just silly. Blaming a city for global problems is just blatent self-centerness. If there's one valid criticism of Toronto it's how vapid some of the people who grew up here really are. Something happens to everyone and they still find a way to make it all about themselves.

I had major problems finding a job, even as a waiter, when I moved from Germany in 1990. I was so depressed. When I saw the poverty on the east-side of Vancouver I was shocked. Now 30 yrs later I see videos of the east-side and I cannot believe how worse it got. I am glad to live in Germany and Japan!!!!! Thank god!!! I have the money now to rent a motorhome in Canada and travel around for 4 weeks there, because I have money and time to do that. No way to do that as a regular canadian.

Absolutely, I agree with the Transgender issues and I agree with the needles on the ground and homelessness. Our Gov has slacked off in a lot of ways. I was thinking the same thing to run back to my parents country in the South Pacific. One thing I have to say “Religion”was created to segregate mankind we are all a highly evolved Human race. It’s an illusion, to not being able to find the truth in one’s self. We all can practice our faith or connection to God. We can openly pray anywhere. A simple thought of God and bowing down your head joining your hands thanking being grateful is all you need.
