These people are saying that they will support and defend these immigrants because this administration is dividing us? mean while my sixty year old english wife was refused entry because she hadn't filled out a new online form. She was crossing legal as we have done 10 or so times. The form was filled out at the crossing but the DEI hire supervisor exercised her authority to refuse her entry. I guess she was proving something to her the more experienced guards who got passed over for her. think of that millions of unvetted people crossing the border illegally to take up residence and for some commit crimes but my 60 year old wife who has never done anything criminal anywhere is turned back from attempting to legally cross the border. What a broken system.

If these migrants have money to fly to canada. Then they have the money to fly into any american airport and try to migrant legally. The fact they don't is highly likely because they would never qualify for asylum status as their country isn't in war ect. How about advocating for the legal immigrants that live here now or the homeless of NYC. The city council, governor, and mayor all need to kick rocks. They are the worst. Sometimes, i really think that these officials forget that the stuff they do in Manhattan trickles into the other boroughs. New York is not just Manhattan. Brooklyn and Queens and the Bronx are right across the Hudson. Long Island and Staten island are above and below. These officials are affecting the funding that comes to all the boroughs because they want to act progressive. None of the officials of New York are actually progressive. The way they live shows there real nature.

When you cross a land border, there is no Exit barrier, only an Entry barrier. Essentially they check you on the way in and can turn you around. Why is it up to Canada to stop people leaving vs the USA stopping people coming in? About 20-30 years ago - before MJ was legal - Canada had to stop USA migrants crossing from WA into BC with illegal MJ the USA couldn’t have cared less.

Possible penalties:\n\n1. Automatic 2-10 years hard labor in confinement with no possibility of parole. No possibility of ever entering the US again legally after release, even as a tourist. Conditions of confinement must be necessarily strict and without recreational activities. \n2. Death penalty if human trafficking or drug trafficking.\n\nPenalties apply to asylum seekers as well as migrants.\n\nIf we want to stop the behavior, we have to criminalize it.

Take them directly to the airport and give them a one way ticket to their home country. And inform them that they have lost any right to migrate legally back to America. All VISA applications will be denied in the future. Get the message out that America WILL gladly accept applications and grant VISAs to those that have applied legally to enter, live and work in America.

If you really seek asylum you'll be ready to do it legally. If you don't you'll face the consequences which should have always been applied. People panic because they think that it's now impossible to cross the borders but it's always been that way before the Trudeau/Biden debacle happened. Int'l law requires/allows: 1. Asylum seekers apply for asylum in the first valid country they enter. 2. Thus, those Asylum seekers entering America from or having passed through Canada or Mexico, etc. can be returned to the last valid asylum allowing country or be returned to any other they passed through... 3. Wouldn't the fact that the city council, allocated that money AFTER the ice raids took place. I went to New York in like 2017, flew to Canada on a ETIAS VISA, and traveled there for a while, then crossed the border by foot on the Rainbow Bridge (Niagara Falls), and took a Greyhound from Buffalo to New York. Of course we had to pay for our AirBnB and hotel ;(\nBut then it was all LEGALLY, so it makes sense that you don't pay have to pay anything when it's ILLEGAL.\nIt would be rather silly to be doing things ILLEGALLY and then having to pay for things, DUHH.\nTry to explain that to someone!

I would assume the increased legal consequences would skew the new illegal border crossings from migrants looking for work so they can raise their kids in a country with more economic oppurtunities to a higher percentage of criminals mixed in. I've had some completely institutionalized friends in Baltimore and can say that the bouncing in and out of prison/ have most exciting/chaotic situations/ brag to your friends while you pass the time locked up/ all around adrenaline rush is going to make that crowd see the conseqences as a nuicense and an exclusive challenge. Sort of the same reason that before consumer space travel, some people that grew up absurdly wealthy would do really foolish things to brag about, like climb MT Everest.
