Trump knows business, but not economics. Running a country isn’t like running a business—they’re different games with different rules. He’s declared bankruptcy six times—would he use the same reckless tactics on the economy? Hope he realizes the difference sooner rather than later!

Donald has already responded that if you use retaliatory tariffs, he'll use even bigger tariffs against Canada. The guy's a nutter.
2025-03-04 0
why counter tariff? you keep telling me tariffs hurt the importing country. why are you hurting Canadians. Is it all just words and your using Canadians as pawn pieces. Everything you said the the American people applies to us too because of you and Donald. we don't all have 100 million like you Justin. figure this out.

What is wrong with Trump. We used to be friends, but now US have new people in leading positions and all went to s*it. As European citisen i would like to see we are all friends like we used to be for 80 years. Or am i weird?

Trudeau resigned as prime minister because he was deeply unpopular in Canada. He proceeded to suspend parliament while President Trump threatened these Tariffs and then immediately left to Europe to posture with European leaders. He did absolutely nothing to strengthen the US/Canadian relationship while his party set about appointing (not electing) a new leader. Trudeau is an actor and a hypocrit. Do not believe anything he says. Now I don't agree with President Trump's tariffs on American allies like Canada. I don't understand the metrics he's using to justify them. Maybe there is a real reason, but this fool that you're listening to has not represented Canada faithfully and I reject everything he says.

This comment section is brainwashed. Dude literally spent the last decade putting us into debt and ruining a balanced budget. Theres literally only a minority in canada thriving when it used to be an overwhelming majority. Wake up people and vote this facist government into obscurity.

Fentanyl is just an excuse Trump uses for these tariffs. I just don't understand what his true motivation is. He's sick. He truly is.
2025-03-04 0
Trump is using these tariffs as a way to gain more power for himself and to harm the US government. Prove me wrong.
2025-03-04 0
This isn't about fentynal.. Trump is just using that as an excuse to go after Canada. No nation should ever put their trust in Trump nor his regime. They are snakes.

Here, no more buy from USA, cancelled Netflix, cancelled amazon, cancelled orange, cancelled trip, cancelled most of Google I use MapQuest instead. And I do not want to do anything with USA as long as Trump and Gop are in charge. I hope Canada will take off any tariffs from China because no use to buy things made in China via USA. I will buy directly from now on

no use for us to discuss one that dont hold to his word and respect his own signature the gang of trump-vance-putin wants to dig the graveyard grave of the free world so trump the puppet is doing putin job destroying it

It’s so funny the excuse that Trump uses to justify his actions against allies such as Canada when in reality there is far more drugs going from USA to Canada than there is the other way around. This has never been about drugs or anything other than a personal financial gain for Trump and his own buddies like Putin. It’s a shame innocent people are caught in the middle but America did vote for him so hopefully eyes will start to open to the truth when it finally starts affecting American pockets directly as unfortunately that’s the only way you can get through to most of those kinds of people.
2025-03-04 0
If you think America isn’t prepared to use force to annex Canada…think again. Russia is doing it in Ukraine so what’s to stop their ally America from doing the same thing? ??‍♂️\n\n✌️????
2025-03-04 0
I am Canadian and everyone who use to support America is now buying Canadian. Canada helped kill Palestinians and Lebanese folks because of the US. Maybe this is our karma
2025-03-04 0
(Its like) he's using false flags (fentenol, falsified amounts of money for Ukraine but not bothered at all about giving it to Israel) to weaken every country in the world, including the US, except one.
2025-03-04 0
Trudeau said it - it’s all because of one guy. Throw Trump and all of his toadies out and let’s get back to business together. He is dismantling your country and these tariffs are simply one mechanism that he’s using to ruin the US. The US is no longer in the position of world leadership and respect and it took Trump less than two months to do that. Your government is failing you and hurting you. Throw them out now.

To our European friends, be careful. American hostility looks bad right now. But the bigger danger is Russia disinformation. America is hostile to Canada and Europe because Putin is using disinformation to radicalize the citizens of democratic countries. America has fallen victim and is divided today. Don't let Russia do the same thing to you. I am already noticing European also becoming radicalized slowly. Russian disinformation must stop now or Europe will fall apart the very same way. The very first step is to learn how Russian disinformation works, including Russian bots and trolls. And use social media less.
2025-03-04 0
now canada is using russian govt names too?czar?
2025-03-04 0
He is going to use putin to take the world and suffer Canada into submission
2025-03-04 0
I wish they would stop saying US and use Trump instead , he is the sole culprit this disaster and all other chaos affecting America and the World.

I bet the Canadians will spend the new tax revenue on affected industries. \nOn the other hand, watch Trump use his new tax collection from American citizens for tax breaks for billionaires.

Well, I was really interrupted, but my thing is with. Why does the taxpayers have to continue to keep paying out the government's debt? I don't understand these rich billionaires. Don't want to pay their taxes. And then you guys blamed the middle class and the average payers. It's time that the middle class and average payers start going after the government to change your laws or be able to take these people that don't agree with the people that they paid to take care of the United States to get to my office and put someone that does care about the people in. Our country, that's what my whole thing's about right now and Donald Trump don't care. He wants to become a dictator and keep telling you guys and his followers are doing the same. It's time to go after the Republican office that Donald Trump has put together even with Leona's and take all his contracts away from Leon musk and see where he goes now. Instead of charging Leah, unless the area says he uses about 10 times a amount of rental space to do his work. That's what I gotta say, because that's what you guys are doing to the average worker and middle class to pay your guys's b******* bill.\nAnd that's my opinion like it ornet you fucking thieves

You mention that Americans are 30% more expensive than Canadians but you dont mention that the US is far more unequal with a Gini coefficient of 0.41 vs 0.35 in Canada. Now there is also a known issue with using GDP data to calculate productivity and that is that in sme countries the labor of GDP is much lower than in others. You then end up with Irish productivity being the second highest in the world only because most large US corporations operating in the EU register there to pay lower taxes but most of that revenue is just on paper for Ireland. or with Guyana whose oil and mining revenue makes it productivity equal to that of the US. Maybe that is the case, but is it? and if so why is the average wage in Guyana so much lower? so choosing only one specific stat can make any point of view seem true. you have to look at the bigger picture.\nnow the issue is Canada has been getting more unequal but it is still much better than the US. so what it means is that the higher worker productivity in the US benefits corporations and billionaires far more than it benefits the average American. now if we compare cost of living say between NYC and Toronto:\nCost of Living in Toronto is 37.5% lower than in New York, NY (without rent) \nCost of Living Including Rent in Toronto is 47.1% lower than in New York, NY \nRent Prices in Toronto are 59.2% lower than in New York, NY \nRestaurant Prices in Toronto are 34.5% lower than in New York, NY \nGroceries Prices in Toronto are 33.0% lower than in New York, NY \nLocal Purchasing Power in Toronto is 7.2% higher than in New York, NY \nand this is similar when comparing almost all large Canadian cities with a comparable US one. And whilst housing and NIMBYIsm is real issue you have very similar issues in the US which also has almost no mix zoning. But throw in safety nets and go ask Canadians if they want to change for the US system. I doubt most will. Sure some want things to change but some assuming everyone wants an ultra capitalistic society. most are ok with less growth ut better balanced growth (the exact opposite of the boom and bust US model)

Indians have used Canada like a flop house. Indians go to diploma mills and try to use it as a backdoor to stay in Canada. They take over Canadian communities and try to turn them into India - making the locals feel like foreigners in their own home. They're also involved in a lot of crime. This includes: auto theft rings, synthetic ID/credit fraud, gun and drug smuggling, and one of the largest gold heists in Canadian history at Toronto Pearson airport. Americans have stated that the top nationality entering the US illegally from Canada is Indian. The drugs they are complaining about entering the US from Canada are almost entirely brought in by Indian truck drivers (Google it and find many examples). A Fentanyl super lab in BC capable of producing over 95 million lethal doses that was busted was run by an Indian. This is now threatening trade with our main trade partner as a trade war has just started. ENOUGH ALREADY! Indians need to be sent home, and banned from entering Canada.

One thing I'm always curious about is why do we use GDP Per Capita to see how well a nation is doing? It doesn't directly measure the standard of life and economic power that the residents of a nation have. Why not use Purchasing Power as this shows exactly how far someones dollar can actually go
2025-03-04 0
Honestly, the way of saying that one people is more productive then the other is such an extreme oversimplification. I know this is a general term used by economists, but I can’t see the benefit. It is divisive and I feel like it would be more beneficial and interesting to just dive into each countries finacial strategy. \n\nP.S. Love the content, english is not my first language and no personal stake in the argument since according to the simplification I am apart of one of the most productive populations of the planet.(Norway)

How America and Israel want to steer the talks, as if they were not the direct people responsible for the genocide in Palestine, and now using the word refugees in their own load

Canada needs to tax capital gains on housing at 90%, and use that tax revenue to fund innovation & job creation.
2025-03-03 0
When I mention that people shouldn’t be using housing for investment vehicles boy do I get yelled at. \n\nAnd those same people using housing are complaining about the lack of business investment. \n\nBut hey, keep pumping up that TO and Van real estate and enjoy.

Why not use news headlines from our own country? Why open with a joke about canada being the 51st state? if you wanted 40 million people to automatically think you're a jackass who doesn't understand what hes talking about you sure dumbfucked your way right into it.
2025-03-03 0
I don't understand the comparison of housing debt to GDP ratio being relevant, other than as some kind of made up benchmark. GDP is an annual number, and mortgages last for decades. How is comparing these numbers directly a measure of anything other than the amount of money invested in mortgages has increased? I would think Household income to Household debt is a more useful measure, but then again, it doesn't capture the amount of capital people have in their homes.

Doesn't Canada have a massive foreign real estate ownership issue who used them as an investment?

I used to work the patch and quit. \n\nIts not worth it to be away getting ground to powder and still not afford anything or being able to justify said prices.\n\nSo many people I know have left and you cant force them back at the point of a gun.

Because the USD is the world reserve currency, money flows into the US. And this unparalleled slush fund is then used to fund venture capital which, then, leads to more innovation in a virtuous circle. The Cdn$ is not a reserve currency, however. Uninformed or wilfully ignorant US politicians point to the US deficit as some kind of problem when, in reality, it represents how the US exports its problems onto the rest of the world that uses the US dollar as an exchange mechanism. If the US dollar loses its exchange value for other countries then the US will be faced with the same issues as other western countries--such as Canada. This isn't to exonerate the failures of both Liberal and Conservative Canadian governments over the past 20 years. More to say that productivity is lower in Canada than the US because Canada's currency isn't the international mechanism of exchange . . .

If Canada uses it's wisdom to choose a leader with an aptitude for economics, and behaves with the collectivistic humility we are known for, perhaps we will weather this storm and come out stronger on the other side. When making decisions from fear or anger, Canadians become individualistic and do our entire nation a major disservice by destroying any chance of using this crisis to propel our way out of the pit we are currently in. We need to avoid pointing fingers because for decades cowardly and self-serving decision-making have led us here. Never forget that the new immigrant delivering your food isn't your enemy - the con artist/felon trying to steal our resources and autonomy is.

Not only is Canada bringing in mass amount of unskilled immigrants, but they are are subsidizing their wages, driving down wages even further as Canadians entering the work force can't compete for jobs when companies can pay well below minimum wage for foreign workers who will be topped up by the government. Our own taxes are being used to make our own citizens more poor.

The 51st state stuff is definitely not a bluff, it's the exact language that imperialists use to convince their own population they should launch an expansionistic war and genocide. Refrain from opening your videos with that, because it is *deeply* offensive. Might as well joke that Ukrainians and Poles are just Russians with a funny accent.

The racist man sounds uneducated, very poor quality he reminds me of vagrants from my country, except they hqve more manners. The man with an accent, is professional and patient. \n\nMocking accents was done in the old ages, in modern days, anyone still doing this shows they have only been using 0.01% of their brain. As if his accent is good and with with narrow vocabulary...

Trudeau and George Soros Used the Cloward and Piven Strategy to Overwhelm Canada with immigrants to permanently destroy Canada
2025-02-27 0
Honestly, the Arabs don't care about the Palestinians. They care more about making trade and oil deals, investments, technology, tourism and military protection from the US and EU. They use the Palestinians for this purpose as pawns. For example, Israeli soldiers are vacationing in UAE after their attack on Gaza. That sums it all.
