I know that some Iranian students are fraudulently obtaining visas to study in Canada. Despite not having sufficient funds in Iranian banks, they manage to secure degrees by paying money to certain banks, even when their accounts are empty. Lawyers may provide them with language test questions in advance, allowing them to pass without any real language skills. As a result, they are admitted to Canadian universities, even for master's and doctoral programs. Additionally, some students arrive in Canada with children but without a spouse to increase their chances of getting a visa, and they rely on Canadian government assistance. After some time, their families also seek to immigrate, and they often depend on government aid. I agree with sending them back after they finish school because I’ve heard that many professors are Iranian and pass them through courses without proper study. They also work for cash, hiding their earnings from the Canadian government while continuing to receive government aid. They are bringing their problematic system into the Canadian education system, which could have serious negative consequences if it continues

They're literally being imported to supress wages etc Canadians won't work for dog shit wages and for companies that treat them like shit, than you have the landlord's that are exploiting them. I am reading the comments and it seems like most people commenting didn’t actually take the time to listen to the interview. He is calling out the government out for political and reactionary changes based on sliding poll numbers as opposed to a coherent immigration policy. He specifically says that this government allowed certain sectors to get addicted to temporary foreign workers. These changes are political as this government is more concerned with political survival than the needs of Canada and Canadians.

It is mostly the fault of the incompliant and corrupt Liberal government for the massive influx of unskilled India workers/students. Under previous sane governments, there were manageable caps that controlled the influx and allowed for proper immigration of vetted and skilled workers, but the Liberals stopped properly vetting people and basically opened the flood gates. For a Canadian company to hire foreign workers, they used to have to prove there were no Canadian workers to do that job, so foreign workers were mostly used in seasonal agriculture work, but due to very shady government deals with big corporations Trudeau approved paying wage subsidy and turning a blind eye to Canadian workers so Singh Hortons (and many other big businesses) could have workers for a cut rate and the government tax dollars paid up to 70% of wages and welfare. Also Foreign workers think they can stay here once their visa's expire, refusing to leave. There is simply no need for Canada to bring in over a million Indians that are in hard times in their own country. Our welfare or culture can't stand it. Not sure if you missed it or not, but India's foreign minister at the start of summer, thanked Trudeau for taking all their criminals, and low caste people. But People need to follow proper immigration policy, and not buy a ticket to Canada from a India scammer guaranteeing citizenship, which has been the case as well. Getting immigration back to sensible levels of skilled workers in the next step, and not just massive amounts of one culture. Diversifying the diversity. See you are a respectful and good citizen who we would have no problem welcoming to Canada. It's the others who are ignorant and who do not respect our countries culture. If you plan to immigrate you must respect our culture and act as nice or nicer than the reputation us Canadians have. The reason we are upset with some Indians is they have no respect. Some of them throw their garbage everywhere on the streets on the beaches on our walkways. I get in India the culture there may allow you to throw garbage in the streets and lakes and rivers. We do not do that here. Either way something has to change the government needs to fix this problem they created. Also why did they allow so many Indians what about Immigrants from other countries? It seems like all they did was mass import people from India. They can hardly even speak English. No disrespect I am just saying from someone who was born in Canada and whose parents grandparents and great grandparents and beyond were all born in Canada how we feel the way our country is being disrespected. It does not make us happy. But let me stress that I know there are kind respectable people from India who come here and are helping Canada. I am Canadian born citizen, unemployed, 2 and a 1/2 years. Because I didn't know that the Trudeau government in 2022 when I lost my job due to the pandemic was allowing them to import T.F.W's as executive assistance my level of experience into my industry. I couldn't figure out why I couldn't get an interview withe almost 20yrs of experience and I was trying every trick in the book but a week ago I learned that they brought in over 2 years 300,000 admins at all levels from E.A's to receptionist now. So imagine my horror and shock to learn that 5 days ago. But you walk in everywhere. And it's just Indians from every part of South Asia and I am all for immigration I'm a child of an immigrant, but immigration is a science When dealing with a country like Canada, where it's designed to be many cultures like a 20 bean soup. You're supposed to try and keep it at being a 20 bean soup and within 3 years it became like a 2 bean soup. It's a science where you're replacing your dead, and then you bump it up like 10% to grow the population slowly with GDP so that you don't have so many Canadians. Unemployed and temporary foreign workers that come are employed. So everybody's contributing but the way they did the open door everybody bum rush. And over run the country. Our economy is now 60% dependent on people who aren't residents. They're temporary which means when they leave our fake economy is actually only built on 40% to 30% of Canadians. That's an economy that will crash because it's never supposed to be weighted that way, Canadians are supposed to be 60% to 70% of the economy and foreign workers are to be the rest. So we're in trouble when they finally go home, but they need to put a moratorium on PR's, Work permits, LIMA's, T.F.W's and restrict all educational institutions on how many Students they can accept so private schools don't scam students by taking their money then telling them they don't have a seat for them to attend class that is just criminal and do so untill end of 2025 and then review status again for 2026. So Canadians can have a shot at getting work and then slowly introduce them back in as needed for proper slow population growth and not just a free-for-all ability to work anywhere in the whole country. Major cities and everything like that. So people like me can finally get back to work.

No wonder we have so many low-skilled immigrants in recent years. Thanks to this dumbest policy issued in 2020, we basically opened the door and welcomed visitors to get work permits whenever they want. labor shortage due to covid?\nShould have ended this stupid policy in 2022 when everything was opening up and getting better already. Have we noticed car accident rates increase? The unethical visits to the food bank? Nothing wrong with foreign workers but allowing workers from one central area of the world was really stupid. It’s now breeding resentment, racisms and hate which is unfortunate. However, this country experienced a severe shortage of workers after Covid, Canadians were not jumping to return to work to face low paying, low end employment. But, this was not the answer. At the very least, immigration should have been balanced across many world communities. But it wasn’t, only South East Asians were permitted in via this advance scream. Totally wrong, totally unbalanced, and totally racist also. And the Ontario Ford government was also behind this mess. It was absolutely a joint effort. Political BS.

The general absence of discipline and honesty in Indian culture is a major issue. This is true for most Indians. Even legal and naturalized Canadian citizens of Indian origin are tired of this with the exception of those who feel the need to help or exploit their kinsmen. I'm thinking that the next government which I hope will be led by Pierre Poilièvre, will seriously opt for a solution like opening a Canadian school in India and in other countries so that people don't have to come here to study in a Canadian school/college/university. That way, they could study in their country without having to move and face difficulty in living abroad which for them should be only allowed for a certain number of years and then that they have to return to their country of origin. Once back in their country of origin should they want to immigrate here, well there is an official process for immigration that needs to be done. No skipping steps and that has to be done from outside of Canada.

As FRENCH, I think it is more an issue with policies set by both governments!!! You know you bring students IN and why don’t you build houses and encourage construction???? In France, many students (mainly Africa, and French departments like Guadeloupe, Tahiti or Martinique) come to study there (for free and we are proud of it!!!) BUT - unlike Canada - we do NOT have the same issues as Canada (our healthcare is NOT under pressure and our housing prices haven’t really increased that much as compared to Canada for example!!!) to me, the students are NOT to blame!!! It is the fault of the deciders (at different level) who have FAILED to set the right policies!!!! The schools are also to blame as some (not all) are so obsessed with making profits out of the higher international fees, which by way, subsidize Canadian students!!! So in Canada (not in France or Germany), the money that allows schools to function come from international students who BRING LOTS OF MONEY for the Canadian economy!!!! in France, it is different as the universities are FREE and are fully subsidized by the French government… but yes;) you have to speak French fluently to attend them!!! \nSo dear Canadians, do not blame foreign students thanks to whom your universities thrive and remain existant!!! Without them (namely the Indians too), the Canadian universities will struggle to find money and funding! Remember, the system in France is TOTALLY different!!!!

Unfortunately, what you are saying is true. My personal experience with Indians, that are my friends, are educated graduated students that came in years ago, and behaved with manners, now in last 8 yrs we have an INVASION of uneducated, nasty, gang mentality people, that we Canadians DO NOT appreciate at all‼️ If you cannot adapt to our culture, go back to India, and keep your mess there. As a Canadian born in Canada I feel the border needs to be shut down. We have worked hard to set our standard of living, this is now in danger of collapsing because the government has allowed so many immigrants into Canada putting a strain on our healthcare,housing and other programs. These people are getting to use our resources without having paid into them for years like we Canadians have. It not anti indian policy.. international student are not all indian .. there is other country citizen that are also not allow to get work permit as well . let not play the race card now.. indian act like you are alway are special.. when apply for your student visa there were term and condition.. and one of the term is that once your visa expires you must LEAVE the county. Agents in India who signed them up to many bogus collages lied to them and said that it was a path to Canadian citizenship, which what totally false. This loophole caused the number of International students to increase from 230,000 a year to over 850,000, with most of those causing the dramatic increase to be from India. I'm 52 years old and a Canadian citizen my whole life. Canada has always been a welcoming country. I have friends from every part of the world here in Canada. But in the couple years there has been a brutal influx of Indians in Canada. My build alone had maybe 3 Indian households. Now more than 60% of the building is indians. And the problem is 6 to 8 people living in a 2 bedroom apartment. We use to have 1 garbage bin in the basement. Now we have 3 and they are over flowing and they leave garbage everywhere( I've watched them do it). Not everyone has house keys so they leave the security door open all hours of the day allowing criminals to get into the building. They have shit in the laundry room and the garage(I have seen this happen). They smoke in the building halls and lobby. They Dont use laundry detergent when washing their clothes so the laundry machines stink really bad. I have to was the laundry machine before even putting my clothes in.Also they have taken every job in the business in my neighborhood. They aren't very friendly. They come into my restaurant and act like entitled brats and hang out for 6 to 7 hours in groups of 20 and don't tip. They're loud and demanding. Now our regular client's have stopped coming. Since these new Indians have come here they have tainted everything. I have never been a racist individual in my whole life. My family is very diverse. We are white, black, packistan, and Asian. In the last 3 years I am so disgusted in the quality of people that have been coming to this country. The biggest group is Indians. I'm sorry but be don't need any more of these assholes. A huge issue with human trafficking in canada is that canada is the easiest point of entery into north america. Illegal entry is even easier. We have zero national security. And we don't care. Most people do not know that not only the international students get work permits, their spouses also gets unrestricted work permits. Their children are also allowed to go to Canadian schools and get free healthcare on taxpayer’s dimes.

I came to Canada 18 years ago from South Asia and work really hard to be in a position where I’m now. I’m not opposed to the immigrant anyway but why almost all the immigrants will come from a particular region? I don’t even recognize this country anymore. Canadian morales are down. So many people came so fast instead of learning Canadian value they are imposing south asian problem in Canadian society. People in South Asia laugh at Canada, and called Canadian govt cute and innocent cause they believe what every temp/student put their application and blindly bring them in Canada. I know thousands of ppl came to Canada by tourist visa and then stay in Canada. Govt even giving them monthly allowance. And I’m paying thousands of dollars in tax. Basically I’m in the same level of a person who do not pay tax but enjoy all the luxury in Canada. It’s a fault of This govt.

Reality: All those who have lucked into this scam can now stay in Canada all socks is saying any one new applying is on hold. The millions who poured in can stay!??? What? For each one of these allowed to stay they will hurry up with Canadian citizenship hearing and you guessed it! They will be sponsoring 5-20 family members from YOU KNOW WHERE! To move here. It would be better if they were allowed to work 20 hours per week like in the past. So, the local Canadians studying here are not getting the total forty hours job, rents increased abruptly, and wage rates went down because the students are working with minimum wage and getting the total forty hours. So, where would Canadian adults go for a job and housing? It is also not fair for students to work with low pay. Everything takes time to go gradually and ethically. It's bad that this situation has risen... But it's self inflicted by the Indian Students themselves... On the pretext of studies... They come to Canada and do all the odd jobs except studies especially the students who study in colleges (not University)... During the peak COVID times, the immigration allowed even a college students to bring in their partner (including those who are in conjugal relationships) which again bloated the influx substantially... Needless to say the immigration scamsters in India, Canada and throughout the globe took advantage of this going to the extent of faking the IELTS and few other documents... The Canadian Government has woken up and making a course correction, which is good for both Canada and all the countries to have a cleaner system based on credibility...

This is not just against Indian students. The fact is, Canadians with PR and Citizenship are struggling here. In this situation how can Canada allow more people to struggle?

So I understand why Canadians feel they way they do. Especially the ones born and raised here. I'm 31, was born here, and I often feel the same way everyone else does. The only problem that I see is that the issues that are in Canada are also in every other Western country. I'm concerned with the future, but I also know that throughout every generation, there are ups and downs. I'm willing to stick it out. I live outside of Toronto,I love the lack of natural disasters and access to water, and I still feel very safe. Although crime is up, it is nothing compared to the U.S. \n\nI'm actually living quite comfortably. Although my costs have gone up, I have made smart decisions in my life that allow me to live well. I own my own house, don't have car or credit card debt, and I only need to earn 40k a year to cover all of my bills. Every cent extra I earn goes to paying down my mortgage, gym, and golf once a week. \n\nThe question is, is it better l elsewhere? I don't know, but I am trying to be happy with what I have instead of what I could have had by being born 30 years too late. Ultimately, I would rather stay here work within the system to change it and continue to make smart decisions that put me ahead. Starting out all over again makes my stomach sick, and I love this country, despite it's flaws and its government, it has great people and beautiful nature. \n\nBest wishes to all of you other Canadians, and let's make it the Canada we want and deserve again.

Don't hate Indians at all - I hate the fact that our government has allowed extensive enclaves to form which make it more likely that they resist integrating into Canadian society. This puts enormous strain on Canadians, especially those left living in or around the enclaves.
