As a Canadian I can tell you there is no bs “silent systemic racism” here. That’s pure liberal propaganda. We have enough of that here. The homeless problem here is a direct result of failed policies and egregious out of control spending by our completely inept government. Our elections are a joke. Toronto alone hold more voting power than all of western Canada and Quebec considers itself its own country.

A broken Country, bank system is a joke, health care is the most broken system of any G 20 countries, education system is totally woke and ineffective, spoiled and about 2.5 years behind any comparable system. Canada is not worth coming to if you own a home in your current country and are generally happy, have a decent job and family, don't come here because it will not be easy or better than what you have. You will have to start from nothing, working the worst jobs cleaning hotels and toilets or working minimum wage in a retail store, even if you are a professional in your home country. There is nothing better here, nothing is free unless you come as a refugee. This country is the anti-dream of America. The taxes are very hi, the rent is unaffordable, to buy a house you have to make $200,000k a year, so basically you will be screwed. There is no way to save for retirement in Canada, so don't think life will get easier. In Canada you will get stuck working well beyond your retirement years like into your 70's you will work here until you drop dead. My parents are 70 and still work because they are still paying off their mortgage, while they get retirement $1,300 per month which is the standard is a joke since it doesn't cover the basics, you need $6,000 at least to survive for a month, to buy food, gas for your car, carinsurance, phone bill, utilities, anything else, just the basics. What the government gives you is completely unrealistic to the times, considering the amount of money people pay in taxes you don't get enough during your retirement years, the government has no use for you so they dont care about you when you get old.

Welcome to the party of those who thought Canada is actually is an advanced country LOL. Everything is currently broken: Rent is off the roof, houses are completely unfordable (whether getting a down payment, or actually paying mortgages of 350000 minimum in Montreal for instance/~2500 per month). Pharmacy shelves for basic stuff like Advil are empty and some people need to drive to the US to get their kids fever and pain medication. What you talked about here is the healthcare crisis which was the first one I noticed and all of that is true. And to add insult to injury, they're increasing taxes this year in a country where more than ever people are going to food banks to get well... FOOD... what a fucking joke. I'm working on my return and can't wait to take my one ticket back to my country, Canada is not worth it anymore and highly advise anyone considering to come here to re-consider whether it's worth it to live in a cold country, highest taxes rate, far away from your family, for basically NOTHING in return.

It's cheaper to live in Dallas Texas than Montreal, which is one of the cheapest cities to live in Canada, so I don't know where you're getting lower cost of living (and yeah I heard you're trying to compare apples to apples, but this is impossible and honestly, wtf would someone want to live in a crime ridden city like NYC? I've spent 22-ish years hitchiking and hopping freight trains around Canada in the summer and I get the impression you are basing this solely off wikipedia entries and haven't actually been to most of these places. Winnipeg for starters is one of the most comfortable cities in the country to be in during the dead of summer in terms of it feeling nice but lot like a fuckin nuclear hellscape. Calling the humidity there a problem is a bit of a joke too, you should check out Vancouver/Toronto/Montreal/Halifax right around the end of July and see whats up hahaha.

The Indian Embassy always avoids us at first whenever we approach them for any help be it Ukraine or Afghanistan. The problem is that often times due to religious practices, a lot of people from minority communities are targeted and have to undergo a lot of scruitiny. Sikhs are amongst the most kind and generous people in the world, apart from being brave, sure this world makes a joke out of them but it is important for people to understand that our religion is important to us, we do follow the rules and regulations laid down by the country but others too have to respect who we are and where we come from, it might seem odd to carry around a kirpan but then again that is no reason to violate someone like this, or their religion's sancitity.

Check out the UK, over a million people not being able to afford heat last winter. Electricity is going to rise now in October then again in January. It is a second rent we will be paying, no joke!!! Health System is a disaster here. Our NHS is not getting the support they need to be good. Food prices is sky rocketing we see food banks coming up all over the place with long queues. I hear from others in other countries, that are going through the same thing. I don't think you are alone. The entire world is going through something right now and the people are sadly suffering in silence. It is a sad situation and very difficult. I don't think it's a Canada situation only.

Canada's Cost of living is Joke compares to here in Sri lanka an Average Srilankan Salary is 200$ per month but 1 liter petrol cost more than 1$ imagine how hard it is live here in Sri lanka not only that we import 90% things foreign Countries so Food,Electronics, etc are unimaginably Expensive for example our Government is adding 300% Tax for Vehicles .even though I'm earning 6000$ per month its still not enough for my needs I have to pay like 60000$ to get Canadian Visa But I don't wanna disrespected by some Racist scumbags I'll do anything against people who disrespected me untill they say sorry to me because to me Respect is Everything in My country we Respect Every one we still have Scumbag Human being they are like less than 1% . your Information is very useful for me I'll never come to Canada I was ready to get the Canadian Visa thank you for saving me

Listening to you guys I can already see why you're not successful. You're english isnt the best, you have a negative mindste and you feel like the country owes you something. I got 50k job a month after I came to canada just because I had a positive mindset. And immigration is very difficult in us, its not easy. Also why do u have a high phone bill ? I have a prepaid plan for 30 bucks and I paid for my phone upfront. This is pretty much a joke its just loosers whining.

The re qualification process is complete joke why should people have to retake exams?Compare this to the EU , there your qualifications are recognized in every ALL the other countries within the EU. Engineers need APEGA membership before they can practice even with very high qualifications. The cost of living when compared to wages is another big issue. So yes people are leaving and rightly so the situation get worse and labour shortages will increase as baby boomers retire.

I am an Irish man that moved to the U.S.S.A twenty years ago. And my ass and all my other bits and pieces are now ( Thanks Christ be to Jesus) back in Ireland. It’s also a joke that Canadians are being kept prisoners in their own Country! Why can’t unvaccinated travel? Are we saying that unvaccinated are super humans and have not had Covid. And if they have, which I’m sure most have , don’t they have natural immunity? It is unfortunate that Canada thinks that their schools are so good that they cannot except people with schooling from another country. Canadian kids overpay for what they get. Public school is also a joke. Imo they do not except other counties diplomas because they are probably trying to protect their professors and their schooling system. If you tell them that their schools are the best then they will believe you over time. It is a shame.

I was actually turned away from the Canadian border last summer due to Covid restrictions. Of the 31 countries I've visited as an adult, the Canadian customs guy was actually the rudest and biggest jerk of anywhere I've been. Almost all the rest were boring, except Ukraine. The Ukrainian guy was the only border officer I came across who made jokes. (The Canadian guards were even jerks to the Canadians!)

housing prices in my country are the same as in Canada and we get paid significantly less. The average salary in my country is 565 Canadian dollars. I’m definitely willing to take my chances to immigrate to Canada. Apart from low wages, safety is a huge issue and the public health care is a joke and we pay taxes for it!!

I am Canadian, having grown up in Canada. I left for the States in 1998, after securing a green card and have no desire to return. Canada offered me nothing except unemployment, debt, and cold weather. Good riddance. It is very difficult to find work and housing in Canada. Education is a joke, because your degree does not guarantee you a career or the job you desire. The Canadian government has a historical record of offering citizenship to immigrants with false promises. Shame on this corrupt, self-serving, money-hungry Government. When I was growing up, one in 1000 people were non-white. Then the floodgates opened to nontraditional countries and multiculturalism was born. The Canadian culture I knew and grew up with was gone. Everyone is suddenly from somewhere else. Canada really has no culture. I don't even visit my family. They come to me! Good riddance Canada. Immigrants beware! You may be better off where you came from.

The tax in Canada is not very high. At least compared to many other Western Nations. \nI came from Germany to Canada and the tax in Canada is a joke me according to me. Income tax with social contributions is roughly 42% even on average salaries in Germany. Sales tax is 19%. Cost for energy and fuel is almost ten times higher than in Canada.\nSure, Canada is pretty expensive. Housing, food and medication are massively overpriced compared to many at EU countries. I need medication every month and in Canada I pay roughly 180 Dollar while in Germany it was zero. Even without the health insurance I would only pay 30€ a month for that.\n\nOverall Canada is good, but doesn't necessarily offer a better quality of life. I only live here because I like Canadian people and the mentality is great.

how much taxes do they pay? I was in California and they don't have to get a license but they drive cars with no plates on them. In taxachusetts i know a guy who got in an accident with a truck that was driven by an illegal...he did not have a license and they let him go...the company that owned the truck paid. They get more benefits than us and they pay no taxes. I was unemployed once and had no health care. every place I applied refused me health care so at the end of the year I had to pay a penalty for each month I didn't have health care. What penalty do they pay? I am discriminated against for being a poor white american citizen. This country is a joke and I wish I was never born here.
