Every country should be responsible for their own goods. The day we start relying on other countries for what we need we're in a heck of a mess. Because China couldn't get our merchandise to our plant we had to shut down for almost a month. We messed up sending some of our work to China. After this we got everything in the US. Cheaper prices are not the solution. Cheaper labor is not the answer. Trump is concerned about the drugs coming into our country and since the borders are affected these drugs will be coming into our country many other ways. You know where criminals go to get out of the US. Canada. Trump is doing this for our country and you can bet on this. I'm sick of drugs in our country killing people everyday. I'm sick of guns but just about every household owns guns. Children are killed in their own homes with guns. Who cares about alcohol being sold in their state. Honestly. People are homeless because of addiction to alcohol. Yeah saying president Trump using fentanyl for this for this trade war was a bad move. President Trump is doing this for the drugs taking over this country.

If we are going to be an authoritarian, antidemocratic, fascist dictatorship, we have to shed our old friends who would get all judgy about the the human rights abuses. All I can say as an American is that the giant majority of us do not want this at all. Donald does not speak for us and Canada and Mexico are our friends, especially in trade and culture. Our election system is so antiquated that tons of young people sat out and the swing states have all the power here. Well said. I love the USA, I have relatives who live there and in all the years of a beautiful relationship with the people of America I have never seen this situation. Mr. Trump you seem to want to conquer and divide relationships at any cost, even with people who care about you. You sabotage yourself and those who are loyal to you. I'm not sure if you understand the implications of your decisions. But I will say respectfully, there are no winners in a trade war, nor is it you that has the final say on the worlds outcome. American stuff is all over the place in this country... my Bosch D/W and washing machine are both made in USA... heck even our toilets are American Standard... and simultaneously we supply USA and ROW with high quality products that meet or exceed ASTM standards... so please do let us know how that Russian aluminum and steel works out because everything I've every seen from Russia is a fucking joke... there's absolutely nothing in my life that say Proudly Made in Russia because only the oligarchs are proud to be Russian.

All these years US has a trade deficit of 1 trillion dollars every year. With tariffs we could have recovered 250 billion every year. That is a lot of money. Currently every American owes $110,000 because of the accumulated debt of 36.5 trillion.\n\nJustin, how long are we supposed to bend back wards while US has a trade deficit of trillion dollar over the past 20 years. Why cant to you balance the imports and exports so that you don't have to keep taking advantage of USA. CNN did not see the trade deficit every single year for 20 years? what are they talking about? Hmmmm.... If this isn't going to hurt Canada at all and only hurt the US (ie helping Canada) then why is Trudeau so upset? I think I'm gonna let this one ride out and see how things play out. As a Minnesotan, I feel as if I’m almost as Canadian as American and proud to say so. Our present sitting president and buffoon unelected sidekick Musk are creating chaos everywhere for the sake of billionaire donors and supporters. I have been all over Canada, and i will say they are polite, kind, funny, great people. I'm from Montana, and we have always had so much in common. I was glad that not too long ago... Trump actually did say the truth to the American people: Canada imports 95% of it's goods from the USA... with us refusing to buy American, with all of us buying Canadian or International products instead... how will he be making America great again ??
