We in Europe support, honor, and respect the Canadians. I come from a small town in the southwest of Germany, and people are still telling me stories about the nice canadian soldiers that were stationed there until the 90s. I've got canadian relatives and I absolutely adore your country, like so many other germans and europeans. We stand with you Canada, because we share the same values and a COMMON SENCE AND HUMAN DECENCY❤ Qualities, which are hard to find in this MAGA Administration. The EU supports you and welcomes you into their family, like it always has. Lets fight these dicks together haha

As a European, more specifically someone from The Netherlands. I will not forget the sacrifices the Canadians have made to safe my country from a murderous regime that had taken over our sovereign country. The Netherlands will always stand with our friends. Trump is obviously transferring most of US assets in East and Southeast Asia. While we are seeing bad trade news after another, this is only focused mainly on Western countries.\n\nJapan and Taiwan recently pledging billions of USD as investments are one of the indications that Trump is relocating its financial and possibly military support to Asia. Philippines will also be conducting a meeting with him and I think he would have defense and economic deals with our country as well.\n\nCanadian and Mexican economies would indeed suffer while European security would be in danger with the US pulling out of NATO soon. But we are seeing an indication that the trade and defense assistance is being transferred to Pacific Asia for some reason. This would mean the economic repercussions would not bring down the US to its knees, but it would still be pretty significant early on since Asian markets would take a while to develop.

European here (Swedish/Germn born in Austria) Cudos to Canada! Even if Trump should row back Canada will not forget this and has once and for all realized that their dependance on the US is not sain. So this was really dumb - Canada is already negotiating with other markets, amongst others Europe. And on the long run this will be worse for the US than for Canada!

As a European, i'm thinking now that USA is no more an ally, but at the best an unreliable partner.

As a European I now believe that the USA is our enemy. It's so sad and unbelievable. Even if the Democrats get elected in 2028, the damage has been done. The sheer volume of people in the USA that voted for an autocrat/dictator that disrespects the constitution is proof that the old democratic USA is mortally damaged. People need to understand that the damage and fallout that will certainly come from all of the things that Donald Trump is doing is intentional. \nTrump's efforts to weaken NATO, destroying our relationships with our long-standing Western European allies, creating friction and distrust with our border countries of Canada and Mexico, taking a wrecking ball to all of our governmental institutions that hold this country together, sowing a lot of hatred and distrust among American citizens along racial and ethnic lines, using tariffs to destroy the American economy, efforts to cause Americans to lose trust in our courts, justice and Healthcare systems, trying to Villianize Zelensky of Ukraine while praising the dictator from Russia, is all part of a plan to weaken or maybe even destroy our country and to allow Russia to rise.\nIt is painfully obvious that Donald Trump is an agent for Vladimir Putin and Russia against the United States, Ukraine and the democracies of Europe. \nDonald Trump is a traitor! The Republicans in Congress need to do their jobs and remove him from office ASAP!

We love Canada! We know that trump the traitor to Americans and Democracy started this horrible tariffs along with Americans losing jobs, Food is off the charts and the lies that trump tells has harmed our relations with European countries. As an American, we don’t want this either. I don’t understand what and why to be honest. All I know was in November 2024 I woke up to the worst feeling I have ever had. First time woke up ashamed and shame and fear to live in the United States. I never in my 60 years thought that hatred hiding behind Christianity would prevail. As an American at the last years of my life I want to say to Canada, Mexico , Puerto Rico, Ukraine and all our European allies, I am sorry we let you down.

Nice to see that Canada is still a great smart country we are all happy to be friends with; what really worries us is the country below Canada, since it is run by a crazy old man and his cult of bigotry, ignorance, lies, autocracy and pseudoscience. What have you done? You liberated us from the Nazis in WWII just to vote for their American counterpart less than one century later. As a Canadian I've sold off all investments that have US holdings and I hope others do so as well and switch to Canadian, European or Asian companies.
