Sounds to me like the Indian population has taken over housing and jobs in Brampton, that why the white people are on the street. What Trudeau and his band of merry misfits have done to this country is disgusting! I know in my town on the other side of the city all the Tm Horton, diary queen, ,MacDonald, taxis, Walmart etc are all Indian. The irritating part is our white students , older folks and the like can’t get jobs here either , and what’s worse they don’t speak our language properly and you can’t understand them. Not to mention the garbage on the streets, roads, and highways . If you google earth anywhere in India there is garbage everywhere, now Canada is becoming the same. It’s not fair !

They need to come in legally like everyone else has been doing for years! This is a crime of lawlessness! We have people coming in that cannot speak English, are not educated, skilled and come in with sickness! This needs to stop! Many are criminals that enter our country and become nothing but a financial burden. Our country is not safe anymore and our families suffer!

There are enough world class universities in India. Better than most of the countries. It is just the glamour of white, more money and status symbol of living in great named countries. Government of departure countries should charge heavy fines for leaving or ask person to pay off all expenses country of departure has faced.\nYes, there are exceptions. But many indian students are cheated by local agents with fake promises of Canadian PR, and now face deportation. It is not the fault of Canada. Already Canadian citizens including its own students suffer a lot from getting a job. Lack of jobs, house, health services increased and at the same time criminal, anti social activities like car theft, sexual abuse of female students, traffic violations, and links with anti social elements linked with international students. Brampton becomes the number one crime area in Toronto. Canadians are very well known people for their multicultural identity but they become irritated by the hostile behaviour of the international students. \nSo Canada must give priority to its own citizens and its law and order. No one can be allowed to take advantage of its liberal system.

In Canada now Canadians are so angry at Indians coming here on fraudulent papers, conducting themselves like savages without any morals or standards. Turning every restaurant they work at into a biohazard public health danger. It's absolutely sick and these new Indians are majorly racist towards white people. Indians are being beat in the streets now on a daily basis. Canadians are starting to fight back and send a message. Do not come to Canada. There is no affordable housing available for anyone.! There are no doctors for the majority of the population now. Hospitals are forced to close. Many people both native Canadians and new immigrants are forced to become homeless because of an overwhelming number of Indians flooding into Canada. There will be a lot of murders over the next few years in Canada. People are desperate and only trying to survive in their own native country.

The problem is neoliberalism and capitalism. The 2 main political parties are hand in glove with neoliberalism and capitalism. They won't fix anything because they are in bed with corporations and the wealthiest. We need strong unions and way stronger rights for workers. Born and raised here and I'm planning on leaving. Reasons are the expensive living, people have become cruel, the crime rate is going up, little solidarity, just the whole shift in mentality. Not a good place anymore unfortunately.

Thank you for summarizing these key changes! Many problems are actually the Canadian immigration system not learning from the mistakes of the US system and now it’s suffering the same consequences. If Canada cuts down on those selected immigrations but still takes in refugees, it’s only going to make anti-immigrant sentiment worse. Selected immigrants are allowed into Canada to help alleviate Canadian issues…or at least people who come through Express Entry are less likely to become a burden. On the other hand, refugees, given their unfortunate circumstances, really need to rely on a lot of social services and resources to help them resettle. The US has eliminated pretty much all non-humanitarian immigration that’s why immigrants are so demonized there. Americans only feel the drags of refugees and asylum seekers (even though ethically we need to protect them) and there is no selected immigration to balance that out. Yet this round of Canadian policy change is heading exactly that direction.\n\nIt used to be international students in Canada are not paying a lot more tuition than Canadian students. But Canadian universities saw how much money universities in the US are making so they asked the federal government to change the policy to enable them to charge international students several times the regular tuition (whereas in countries like France, international students actually pay less than citizens). So now Canadian universities rely too much on international students to operate and it becomes an exploitative relationship even before students step foot on the campus. The new PGWP eligibility is awful because students can make contributions in every field. It might (and that's a big if) address the pressing problems, but it won't help Canada grow.\n\nI thought the new language requirement was interesting. Some Canadians who immigrated decades ago when the bar was really low still speak English poorly and now they are saying people can’t come to Canada because their language skills are not sufficient. Another point about language is if you apply through Express Entry now, even if you scored the highest language score, given how competitive the pool is, you still won’t get selected. So it’s a given that you need to be fluent in one of the languages at least to get an invitation. I have probably seen more Canada than many Canadians and I love every bit of it. But the opportunity for me to even get a shot to move there is pretty much nonexistent now. If you don’t take the time to learn about the culture of the place you are migrating to and/or expect that locals welcome habits that could be perceived as rude and shocking to most Canadians, you are going to limit your network to only people in your cultural group - which will definitely hinder opportunities for growth. My father moved us to upstate NY in 1957 when I was 9 years old, me kicking and screaming all the way. I was devastated to be leaving Canada, and now at 77, I've decided this life-long yearning to return to my birthplace has to become reality. I've started the process, hoping I may gain some points because I'm a former citizen :) . I still have lots of family in several provinces; people I haven't seen since we were children, and some of us are great-grandparents now. You make claims about actions taken to secure our boarder by Mexico in your piece. Please give an example. Also 1600 a day is still 600k a year plus all of the people who come through at the ports of entry and via the application so the real number is close to 2.5 million a year or 10 million plus over the last 4 years. Btw my family followed the legal process to become citizens and it’s hard to believe it took my brother wife years to enter the US when your channel supports not following any legal process. Since Donald Trump has become the president elect, I have seen so many Hispanic Americans that were once themselves “illegal immigrants” make the statement that they would have no issues with family members and friends who are currently illegal, be deported?! The hypocrisy and complete disregard for others that are literally in the same position that they once were, is almost unimaginable! I was born and raised in this country, as were my parents, their parents, and their parents parents however, I have compassion for those people that have been discarded by their own families and friends for reasons I don’t fully comprehend ??‍♀️

The problem is ability to buy a house. Without owning a house, inflation and cost of living becomes unbearable for families. Most people coming to Canada have strong family values, so when sticking to those values become unaffordable, people leave. Even those immigrants who are earning in six figures do not see the possibility of owning a house. The majority of new house ownership is still working out for those whose parents already own property in Canada.

Lets be perfectly clear. The are illegals and immigrants who've met the entrance requirements. I grew up in an immigrant neighborhood. They weren't looked down on. This would naturally lead to many illegals 'deporting' themselves in search of countries where they can blend in more easily. Furthermore, there’s a 'support system' that guides illegals on how to navigate life in the U.S. as undocumented residents, which should also be addressed. But instead, Democrats often seem to do everything possible to favor their presence, especially in certain cities.

If they get deported, that is going into immigration records and when that gets pulled up when they apply to come back it will likely cause any legally efforts to return to be rejected. And who knows how long that will stay in their system? Could be years, could be permanent. Biden’s idea to help those undocumented who are married to citizens to be able to apply and get a temporary visa to stay here while they wait so that families wouldn’t have to be broken up by having the applicant return to their country of origin. That was not just a great idea from a humanitarian point, but they could apply for a job that wasn’t going to take advantage of them by paying below minimum wage, with no rights if they are injured. That could help bring local wages up. They would start contributing back by paying their fair share of taxes, and do on. Republicans in red states stopped it though and are suing the Biden administration for trying to do what? Help people and fix some of the issues that our broken immigration system has caused? \nSorry lady, but you earned your family’s ire and whatever treatment you get from the administration you voted for.

Becouse the loves of heavenly father I will not move the illegal people in the US. Why. However, as soon as the hk pathyway people landed, they enjoyed the same benefits immediately as the locals(liked free education, local student fee for university, Child care benefits) which the locals felt were unfair. The days they (hk pathway people)contributed in Canada are very short, and the benefits they receive are far greater than the taxes and contributions they pay. The locals just feel that the benefits they enjoy today are indeed the contributions they have made to society (including paying taxes) over the years. It is reasonable to get a reward for how much they have paid and contributed, but it is unfair for those Hk pathway people to enjoy the same benefits as locals. \n\nThe hk pathway temporarily policy need to be amended. They shouldn’t receiving full benefits as locals while waiting for PR, they should pay the international student fees. Also, too many hk people abuse this policy, use fake academic qualifications to study, and then their whole family receives CCB , also enjoy local students is unfair to our locals. By the way, most of them after getting the PR they will go back to Hong Kong,they have no intention of staying here and make contributions to our country.\n\nThe HK pathway is a temporary policy. The immigration policy can be revised at any time just liked study permit has mandatory amendments and additional condition recently . The Hk pathway can also be amended.

Trudeau brought the international students for money! Each international student had to bring CAD 10,000 and from 2024 it's CAD 20,000 which gets deposited in a Canadian bank. From the stats, in 2022, international students have contributed $30 billion to Canada's economy. If ONE PERSON is to be blamed here, it's Justin Trudeau. Why bring all these people in such a short period of time? This is what happens when an entitled drama teacher becomes the Prime Minister of one of the most prosperous countries in the world.

As an Indian immigrant myself.. I hate to see what has become of Small towns and cities Specially Brampton becoming a menace.
