From a year ago. The reality for desperate immigrants on the other side of that bridge in Ciudad Juarez today must be horrific. So devastating to the souls that have fled so far and so long, just to be stuck in that city with its murderous history.

They don’t even try to assimilate when they get here! They treat our cities and neighborhoods just like they do in their home country! They could care less about our way of life. This is an invasion!!

It's so tremendously sad to see this, but walk through encampment in any major US city and it's worse. I understand and don't blame them but were screwing our own people and have been so so long.

I live in Toronto and ive been around Canada. In all the cities of Canada, it is way way worse than 10 years ago. I don't recognize it anymore. Drugs, crime, and cost. It sucks right now.

Do you not understand, they have broken the law along with most of them are violent criminals and the Biden administration is responsible for the damages and really need to be accountable along with these Democrats in these Sanctuary cities, no more enough is enough law and order will be restored!.

There is in fact no actual housing shortage in the USA whatsoever. The problem is that that wealthy individuals have strong incentives to park excess capital in real estate and landlords have strong incentives to maintain asset values through cash flow potential (appraised through $/sq.ft rent revenues). What ends up happening in both cases is that you end up with lots of empty houses sitting collecting dust artificially gaining value due to scarcity, and with rentals, you end up with perpetually inflated rents and vacancy rates that are as high as a landlord can tolerate just to maintain the appearance of value to the lenders. Often these owners will borrow more money and use an apartment that might be 40% vacant as the collateral for the lender and go buy another building and so on. What people don't penalize is the fact that that 40% vacant building with 60% rented out at above fair value gets treated on the balance sheet to the bank as if its 90% rented out from an asset value perspective thereby setting the asset price artificially high. Simple legislation of the tax code can fix this issue and unlock lots of sidelined housing. All we have to do is progressively tax 2nd 3rd 4th ect. homes higher and higher rates that essentially cancel out the asset gains, and do something similar for vacant units in a apartment building. \nIts just at the core a case of the rich hoarding something that has been made artificially rare. On top of all of this, because of how valuable properties have become, there are now many interests that capitalize on the entire process of building new housing that make it ever more expensive. Our taxes are funding numerous regulators that stymie new development, while the developers have to then hire numerous attorneys and planners to pitch a project and litigate it through the cities to get approvals. This can take over 10 years in a major city. All this contributes to the ridiculous costs of building these days.

‘Sanctuary Cities’ where criminals can get refuge and protection from prosecution in the USA?\n‘Guantanamo prison’ as the saying goes “If you can’t do the time, don’t do the crime”.

If these immigrants do not recognize and respect our border laws, what makes you think they will honor or follow any other law in America. Wake-up! My Lord, have the American people in sanctuary cities lost their minds. What will it take for you to acknowledge this is a dangerous invasion! Hiring someone based on their physical attributes is discriminatory. Change this to hiring someone to a position like this based on their skin being white would result in cities being torched.

I see a lot of Venezuelans in my city. You can easily spot them. Uncool designer labels like Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger. Black Nikes and some goofy sunglasses. Mexican and Central Americans are wearing work clothes like Carhartt etc. The Venezuelans are working non laborious jobs like food delivery. Somehow they easily afford cars as they are heavily subsidized by the government both on a local and federal level. No insurance tag or driver's license.

Not the responsibility of struggling Americans to take care of other countries or people fleeing from them. We are not their slaves. We have enough homeless already and not enough homes and the last thing we need to do is destroy more land to make more cities for all these immigrants. More cities means more polution, no way around it. We cant absorb the whole world and we're already past the point of living in balance with the llanet naturally.

Allowing illegal immigration to take place willingly is making it impossible for Americans to live out the American dream. It’s not about us not being considerate or empathetic. Finally, High School students can get a part time job now in our City . A lot of International visa student holder are actually not studying .... why i know because we don't have a Universities or colleges in our small city and all of a sudden BOOOMMMM they are everywhere like a wild weeds .

Yep…way too many Indians in Canada…every small town, every large city, every convenience store, all motels, Dollarama, thrifty stores ….they are everywhere. 79 year old Canadian here and I do not recognize my country anymore. I want out of this country.

An average Canadian after compulsory deductions and rent ends up with only 10% as disposable income. In the great capitalist nation of USA after compulsory deductions and rent an average American has 30-40 % income. In addition due to the socialism our per capita income is only 72% of the great capitalist nation of USA. This implies that for every disposable dollar an American has we have only 25 cent. Now we are 10% of US population so for every $1 of disposable market they offer us we offer them 2.5c worth of market \n \nHow can such one sided unequal deals work? It is obvious one party is looting its own citizens and that is not enuff so it has to loot the American consumer with higher disposable income and also students/immigrants from grower saver, efficient and productive economies. And obviously that party was elected by 2 cities and China. And obviously how long will agenda of loot work specially when 100% of looters suffer TDS

As an Indian living in Australia, i support the rejection of visas. Indian behave like they're living in India. Ladies in my class from punjab will speak only punjabi and ask desi lectures if they can teach the class in Hindi. \nAlso occasionally the khalistanis will do demonstrations here creating traffic. \nMany indians visiting nearby Vietnamese cities lile bali also disrespect locals there. can't give an opinion about living in USA, because I never stayed for long (only for vacations or short visits), but as a visitor, I used to go once or twice a week in the 90's (I used to live 5 minutes drive from the border), as a visitor, I was always welcomed and made friends very easily. Of course, being only a visitor, I didn't have to experience day to day life or any major problems. About police presence, I guess it depends where you go in USA, I'm from Montreal & we also have a very visible police presence (guess it's common in bigger cities). Didn't have any problems with police in USA, like everywhere, if you comply, you'll have good relationship with policemen. If you try to play or disrespect them, you're in for some trouble--no different here in Canada.
