They come to our country and refuse to accept our cultural beliefs one is that anyone covering their nose & mouth we see as a threat. Covering your face is done to hide your identity when committing a crime. That is our cultural belief, and they need to respect it.\nHow can I trust anyone wearing 'a rag top & face covering; and off topic even a hoodie. \n\nSorry, but in a free country we do have the rules that allow us to ban certain items of clothing worn on the street. Men & women are not allowed to wear a T-shirt, shoes, and as simple belt exposing mother nature's reproductive organs. Why? We are a free country after all. It is because that manner of dress offends the majority. Na jabs offend the majority of Westerners in our culture, this new land they NEED to adopt to as we would need to adopt to their culture should we move to the Middle East.\n\nFrankly, if they can not adapt, they should be refused a VISA or work permit as they are a threat to our culture. Maybe immigrants of colour would have an easier time if they actually acted like immigrants of past to this country, the Italians, Portuguese etc they came to Canada and they didn't ask for handouts like the ones who come these days from India, Sri Lanka etc who get on welfare. In the past they came with the intention of actually becoming Canadians and assimilating, the ones now come and all they want to do is create their own little old countries here in Canada.

I would very much like the muslims to tell us real Canadians what contributions that they are making to our country as a whole. How are they making life in Canada better? How are they bringing stability and growth to our country? They spend time teaching their silly little book to the people in their flock but nothing about Canada, our values, our hopes and aspirations for the country. The silly little book does nothing to further the common good of Canada. It only forwards the wants of the muslim community.\nAnd finally, religion is the bane of intellectual thought. I've never lived in Canada, we drive through from Alaska, it's absolutely gorgeous!!!! BC is a place I'd love to live. I'm sure I could google it but how do you go from living in one country to the other?

I can see westerners being freaked out by the women who cover their face. I myself was like wtf when I seen a women with covered face for the first time back in northern Virginia, and I am from Ethiopia - a country that has a big Muslim population, more than 30%. We live among Muslims peacefully, because we respect our differences, but the ones back home do not really cover their face so I was not used to it. Really we should do better than creating differences, there is no better race or religion, all humans are the same, we all practice the 7 deadly sins religiously. and all the people commenting saying they hate Muslim and what it stand for, what religion are you because the Bible teaches compassion, it does not say to hate what you don't understand.

I'd like to address this to the woman who went to one of Trump's rallies dressed as a Moslem with her head covered with a scarf and having a sign that reads, 'I come in peace'. I don't know why she was asked to be escorted out, but by her own words the people in the crowd were throwing questions at her as to whether she had a bomb under her cloak. Well, whether she knew it or not, she provoked the crowd by wearing the mark of a Moslem - her cloak. Also, by going to the rally dressed the way she was, she knew before hand that she'd be treated that way. On her part, I see that as provocation. Had she gone plainly dressed or attired like everybody else, there would have been no adverse reaction toward her. I don't know what she could have said why she was asked to be escorted out, but she fully knows that the whole of America had been given the real and true picture of Islam - one of terror, murder, beheading, bombs, war, and blood. How do Moslems expect the most compassionate, kind, benevolent people in the world to act? So, please, use your common sense and do not see America as the enemy, the aggressor, or the provocateurs. They're not. They are just being vigilant knowing that the enemy could be so sly, cunning and untrustworthy. Islamic people,we welcomed you to our country. Don't think that we are not watching you. We have given you a new start for a happy life compared to the life you have had in your native lands, but we are guarding against an invasion that your evil governments have designed for our beloved country. The truth of the matter is that you are our guests in our country, and you don't have he right to demand of us what you like, especially when you want us to change our laws just to accommodate or please you. Not one country likes Muslims. Not one! They need to take a look at themselves!

Canada is going the way of Europe (France, Belgium - even England). Religions are all absurd nonsense, but this one is particularly worrisome, advocating violence, the destruction of infidels and installation of shariah law. More political than mystical, really. So sad to throw away this great country built by our hard working, well meaning ancestors. I fear for our kids and their kids, who will be under the yoke of a muslim majority in just a few decades because of the birth rate differential.

If they go to an airport, do they have to take the niqab off? If they don't, its a security issue. If they can see our faces, why is it fair for them to look at us? The koran has been interpreted differently by many generations of people and is changing constantly. This religion is by far the most unstable religion. There is only one god, and to get there does not mean by having a book tell you what to wear and how you wear it. If you want to wear hijabs in a country that is christian, then live like them too. If your not happy living in Canada, then go to where you came from. We don't want you here if you leave that old country because it was shit. Don't come and fuck up our country.

Canadians have lived their lives being seen and heard, since the beginning. Seeing the faces of hidden Canadians, and to hide one's face becomes suspicious. Women of the Middle East should be GLAD, if not more, to have found a Country where they can continue to embrace their religion WITHOUT hiding their faces. At its worst, muslims cannot police their fellow muslims. There are factions from within, the threat is the extremist who feel entitled to spread, impose their culture instead of assimilating to an accomodating country. What about the feelings and sentiments of other immigrants from non muslim countries? I come from predominantly christian Philippines, and get along well with hindis, East Indians and Europeans of non muslim background. All to often it is hard to get along with muslims, they talk issues which you can only say they have that victim syndrome. No wonder it reminds me of college days that, no one jokes around these guys as they are quick to anger and they tend to band as a pack of wolves. And pretty much it was in the name of their religion that they come together. Its the victim syndrome I guess that keeps them from Fitting in the Normal.

The women said they are not enforced to wear the niqab or burka, if it so, is not mandatory and there is anything to do with their religion why to wear it ? why do not they embrace our culture, they can keep their faith in their heart and their home , no one cares. Do they use it to be distinguished as muslim women from non-muslim women, so then muslim men can just harm the non muslim, as it says it is been done in other countries as in Sweden when they raped non muslims women? Then why are they forced to use it in their countries and punished even killed for not using it? The niqab , I did not care they use it unless it does not harm anyone but now that as been said they using it to distinguish women it borrows me, the full burka is too extreme if it is not mandatory so do not use it cause it just makes you apart from others Canadian women and it do not bring peace and no safety. If Islam is a peaceful religion , they should do everything they can to maintain the peace.

I think its actually astounding how many people Hate Islam and yet no one has done anything to stop the religion. As a Muslim living in Canada, I don't see the harm in a woman wanting to cover herself, I wear the head scarf myself, but in my opinions I don't feel the need to cover myself to prove I am more modest or a better Muslim.  I believe everyone has free will and has the right in this Country to dress the way that the law has allowed them to.  No one has the right to tell someone how to dress, not even the Prime Minister himself.  Telling a woman what she can and cannot wear is oppression.  I truly believe that if Muslims want to live in Western civilization, then they should refrain from covering their faces because the face is our identity and People have the right to know who you are and what your face looks like.  You cannot vote with a covered face, you cannot cover your face in a passport photo, you cannot cover your face for your driver's licence etc... I am a Muslim woman and I say this.  It truly is a shame how the media is portraying Islam and the Muslim people as a whole, and it truly is a shame that Canadians have become so ignorant.  I see more ignorance and racism in Canada than I do in America and 9/11 took place in America.  If you want to know about Islam, learn about Islam from a Muslim, a Library, google Islam, or offer to spend a few days with a Muslim family for research to get a better understanding of Islam and Muslims.  As a Muslim myself I can understand the hatred and the ignorance because we act according to how we were taught and raised, and yes we have many extremists claiming to follow the Islamic faith.  These extremists are not only hurting Western civilization, but they are also hurting the peaceful moderate Muslims that value their rights and freedoms as Canadians.  I do not appreciate ISIS hijacking my religion, I do not appreciate Hamas or Hezballah hijacking my Religion because I am a very accepting person and a very open minded Muslim and to be defined by media as a problem or a terrorist is very hurtful and a shame.
